Interesting Photographs of the LOCH NESS MONSTER Recently Released

According to an article written in the Daily Record, a woman, who captured supposed photographs of the Loch Ness Monster in 2018, recently released them to the public.
Chie Kelly captured an unidentified large eel-like creature slowly spinning on the surface of the legendary loch. Chie, 51, was taking photographs of the area at Dores when she and her businessman husband Scott, 68, saw a strange creature move right to left over a distance of about 100 meters

Mrs Kelly was so shocked by what she saw on August 13, 2018, that she feared public ridicule and did not share the images. But she was inspired by the biggest search for Nessie in over 50 years at the weekend, in which hundreds of volunteers took part. It was then that she plucked up the courage to show her startling photographs to veteran Nessie hunter Steve Feltham, who has set a world record for the longest vigil of looking for the Loch Ness Monster - now over 30 years long from his Dores base. He was astounded.

Mrs Kelly was on holiday with her family from Ascot in Berkshire at the time of the sighting. The family have since moved to near Fortose on the Black Isle. "My husband was originally from the Inverness area and Dores Beach is a very special place to me as it is where he used to take me when we first met," said Japanese-born Mrs Kelly. "We had lunch in the Dores Inn and then started walking around. I was just taking pictures with my Cannon camera of Scott and our daughter Alisa, who was then five, when about 200 meters from the shore, moving right to left at a steady speed was this creature. It was spinning and rolling at times. We never saw a head or neck. After a couple of minutes, it just disappeared and we never saw it again."
"At first I wondered if it was an otter or a pair of otters or a seal, but we never saw a head and it never came up again for air. It was making this strange movement on the surface. We did not hear any sound. There were these strange shapes below the surface. I could not make out any colors - the water was dark.
"I could not accurately assess its length, but the two parts that were visible were less than two meters long together.

MY GUARDIAN ANGEL Appeared As A Hospital Priest & Saved My Life

A man relays a personal story told to him by his father. When the man was young, he was near death and in the hospital. A priest comes to bless him, but it's later discovered that a priest was not on duty that day.

I received the following account:

"Hi Lon. My dad recently told me this story and I was just amazed. I thought you would like to hear it.

When I was young, about three or so, I was hospitalized and near death. I had a fever that just would not break and was passed out for most of the hospitalization. My dad, who has always been religious, wanted the hospital's priest to come say a prayer for me.

So, the priest comes to pray for me but, something's not right about the guy. He never gives his name and has no Bible. He says the entire prayer in Latin and blesses me.

Now, my parents aren't married yet and since the priest is there, they ask why they haven't been able to have another child yet. They had been trying for about a year with no luck. The priest tells them that they won't have another child until they're married.

The priest leaves after that and an hour later my fever breaks.

The next day the hospital's priest comes to the room to say a prayer for me. My dad is confused and tells the man that someone had already come the day before, to which the man replies that no priests were on duty the day before. He checked with all of the hospital staff and their visitation book and everything, nothing turned up. No priest was in the previous day.

He searched for years to find this priest that prayed for me and he never found a single trace of him anywhere.

A month after my mom and dad got married, my mom got pregnant with my brother.

So, we'll never know who the mysterious man was but, I like to think he's my Guardian Angel, and he still remains with me. To this day my dad still has found no record of him, not even someone who looks like him. Someone was looking out for me that day though. I just wish I knew who." W

MYSTERIES OF ROSSLYN CHAPEL: Beyond 'The Da Vinci Code'

In early 2010, workers discovered what were thought to be human remains at Rosslyn Chapel, the world-renowned religious site made famous by 'The Da Vinci Code.'
According to Christian belief, the Holy Grail was the dish, plate, or cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper, supposedly possessing miraculous powers. Joseph of Arimathea, according to 12th-century legend, receives the Grail from an apparition of Jesus and sends it with his followers to Great Britain. Ownership has been attributed to various groups, including the Knights Templar. There are cups claimed to be the Grail in several churches, for instance, the Saint Mary of Valencia Cathedral, which contains an artifact, the Holy Chalice, supposedly taken by Saint Peter to Rome in the first century, and then to Huesca in Spain by Saint Lawrence in the 3rd century. Other stories claim that the Grail is buried beneath Rosslyn Chapel or lies deep in the spring at Glastonbury Tor. Still, other stories claim that a secret line of hereditary protectors keeps the Grail, or that it was hidden by the Templars in Oak Island, Nova Scotia’s famous “Money Pit”.

I believe the Holy Grail was a metaphor associated with the medieval period's fascination with Christian relics. The myths originated in Europe during the Middle Ages and promoted the theological link between Christ's blood and the communion wine. These beliefs culminated in the Holy Crusades, an ideal of reclaiming the Holy Lands and their treasures.

But there lies the mystery. If a Holy Grail does exist, either as a physical object or a metaphoric legend, where would it be?

Rosslyn Chapel, located in the village of Roslin in Midlothian, Scotland, has many mysteries surrounding it. Beyond its secret association with the Knight's Templar and the Holy Grail, there has been a more recent conundrum involving the discovery of human bones buried in the chapel floor.

ROSSLYN CHAPEL AND THE TEMPLARS

As with many other aspects of this mystery, the importance of Rosslyn Chapel is unclear and seems to have been obfuscated, unfortunately. Its owners, the Sinclairs, claim to be the hereditary patrons of Scottish Freemasonry, to have explored the New World (particularly Nova Scotia and Oak Island) a century before Colombus, and to be connected to the Templars through marriage and descent. Some of this appears to be in doubt because it's based on the work of Jacobite historian Father Hay, who used documents that were lost in a fire... in any case, we do know William Sinclair did build Rosslyn in the 1400s, it does contain very unusual carvings (particularly people who look like Templars engaging in things that seem like Masonic rituals), and it does incorporate unusual geometry (some say that this geometry replicates the Temple of Solomon). Pierre Plantard seems to have changed his name to "de St-Clair" in order to claim affiliation with the Sinclairs of Scotland.

THE ROSSLYN CHAPEL BONES

In early 2010, workers discovered what were thought to be human remains at Rosslyn Chapel, the world-renowned religious site made famous by The Da Vinci Code. The bones were discovered at the chapel in Midlothian by workers carrying out conservation work.

A spokesperson for Lothian and Borders Police confirmed the discovery but said it was not being treated as a crime.

The famous building, built in 1446, has long been linked with a role in the history of the Freemasons and the Knights Templar. Most notably, it has also been suggested as the burial place of the Holy Grail...the cup used by Christ at The Last Supper, or even the resting place of the mummified head of Jesus Christ.

Following the release of Dan Brown’s hit book The Da Vinci Code in 2003, the chapel was thrown into the worldwide spotlight. The work was then made into a film starring Tom Hanks, who filmed at the chapel for some scenes in the film. The Hollywood legend subsequently made a cash donation to the restoration and conservation of the chapel.

The bones, which were found on February 19, have now been removed from the site to be examined by archaeologists to discover their age, type, and if they are human or animal. They were discovered under a slab while a new heating system was being installed inside the chapel. There is no record of a burial site in this particular area of the chapel.

Rosslyn Chapel declined to comment on the discovery.


A few years ago, researcher Jeff Nisbet offered the following article for publication in 'Phantoms & Monsters':

By Jeff Nisbet - Photographic pioneer and artist Louis Daguerre’s 1824 painting, The Interior of Rosslyn Chapel, shows two workmen crouching by the base of a pillar, with three Templar Knights nearby. One workman is staring intently at some bones they have found beneath the flagstones.

For a bizarre example of life imitating art, let’s fast-forward 186 years.

On March 1, 2010, Scottish Television reported that workmen at Rosslyn, the chapel made famous by The Da Vinci Code[image error] had discovered remains in an area with no recorded burials. The remains, continued the STV report, had been “removed from the site to be examined by archaeologists to discover their age, type and if they are human or animal.”

The local police confirmed the find but said “it was not being treated as a crime.” Rosslyn Chapel declined to comment.

Two things aroused my interest.

First, I was sure that even an untrained eye would be able to distinguish between animal and human remains, and wondered why the archaeologists could not do the same. Second, I wondered exactly where the remains had been discovered. The idea they might have been found in the spot Daguerre showed in his painting made me chuckle.

It would take me a year to get some answers.

During that time, I searched for news updates. There were none. I also broached the subject with two St. Clair/ Sinclair clan online forums. Since William St. Clair had built the chapel in the mid-fifteenth century, these groups share an abiding interest in its history. No one knew anything.

Finally, on Feb. 21, I wrote to a Rosslyn Chapel executive. There was no reply.

Someone knew more, but no one was talking.

Two weeks later, however, my inquiries finally bore some fruit—an Email containing four remarkable photos of the excavation, before the remains had been moved.

One showed leg bones that were undoubtedly human, confirming that one of the stated reasons for their removal was, as I suspected, clearly bogus.

Two showed the exact location of the remains, but it was not the area shown in Daguerre’s painting. Instead, they had been found at the threshold of the west door.

The fourth showed a skull, face down, with a ragged-looking wound just a short distance above the foramen magnum, the natural aperture that allows the spinal cord to connect with the brain.

Taking just a small leap of the imagination, what might this tell us?

There’s a long-lived legend that Rosslyn’s master mason, returning from Rome after studying the design of an exquisite pillar in person, found an apprentice had carved the pillar in his absence. Flying into a rage, he slew the apprentice with a blow to the head, a legend that resonates with the eponymous murder of Hiram Abiff, chief architect of Solomon’s Temple, absolutely central to the Freemasonic ritual of the Third Degree.

Could the skull belong to the apprentice? The teeth were in remarkably youthful condition, and the shape of the head wound appeared consistent with the stone-trimming end of a mason’s hammer.

Researchers skeptical of the chapel’s claimed Masonic roots scoff at the legend, protesting that it’s not exclusive to Rosslyn. While there are indeed similar tales told about other ecclesiastical buildings of the day, I’m not so quick to throw the baby out with the bathwater. As a speculative researcher, and in the absence of forensic evidence already more than a year in coming, I’m happy to present some speculative thoughts about the Rosslyn bones.

Above the area of discovery are three carved heads. Rosslyn tradition describes the one in the southwest, gazing northeast, as the head of the apprentice; the one in the northwest, gazing southeast, as the head of the master mason; and, on an adjacent wall, the apprentice’s mother, weeping for her son. The chapel’s website describes the master’s gaze as his punishment, forever condemned to look southeast towards the now-famous Apprentice Pillar. Not much of a punishment for murder, certainly.

I have since received, however, another dispatch that suggests a stiffer sentence: There were two skeletons found at Rosslyn, in a single grave. Could one be the master?

That they were found at the threshold of the chapel conjures up a plump scenario of darkly poetic justice.

History records many examples of human remains being buried in the foundations of buildings, and at their thresh­olds, but the reasons are varied. Legend has it that Saint Dunstan ordered his own burial to be under the threshold of Winchester Cathedral as a testament to his humility; Scotland’s St. Columba, by contrast, is said to have buried a man alive at the foundations of a cathedral in order to ensure the building’s structural stability with blood sacrifice; and I will give a third example, later on, where the practice was meant as an insult to the deceased.

Another robust legend that may connect Rosslyn with threshold sacrifice is the widespread belief that the chapel’s ground plan is based on that of Solomon’s Temple, although skeptics point out that Rosslyn’s is identical to that of Glasgow Cathedral, which, except for the enormous difference in scale, is true.

But what if the similarities between Rosslyn and Solomon’s Temple, at least for Freemasons, were meant to be more symbolic than actual and that both skeptics and true believers have been looking at things the wrong way?

In Albert Mackey’s Encyclopedia of Freemasonry is the following entry: “Over the Sacred Lodge presided Solomon, the greatest of kings, and the wisest of men; Hiram, the great and learned King of Tyre; and Hiram Abiff, the widow’s son, of the tribe of Naphtali. It was held in the bowels of the sacred Mount Moriah, under the part whereon was erected the Holy of Holies. On this mount, it was where Abraham confirmed his faith by his readiness to offer up his only son, Isaac. Here it was where David offered that acceptable sacrifice on the threshing floor of Araunah by which the anger of the Lord was appeased, and the plague stayed from his people. Here it was where the Lord delivered to David, in a dream, the plan of the glorious Temple, afterward erected by our noble Grand Master, King Solomon. And lastly, here it was where he declared he would establish his sacred name and word, which should never pass away—and for these reasons, this was justly styled the Sacred Lodge.”

Might not the floor of Rosslyn Chapel be symbolic, then, of a place that predates Solomon’s Temple—the threshing floor of Araunah and a place of great Biblical sacrifice, which in many ways it still is? Claimed as a holy place by Christians, Jews, and Muslims, the rock over which now stands Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock has become, over millennia, a most costly piece of real estate.

Also revered as “The Foundation Stone,” the rock from which the world was made, it was the place where Biblical patriarch Jacob is said to have dreamt of a ladder reaching to Heaven, with angels ascending and descending—which brings us to Scotland’s unique connection with the place. Whether or not the block of stone now safely enshrined in Edinburgh Castle is Scotland’s fabled Stone of Destiny, one of its popular monikers is “Jacob’s Pillow.” And then there is the theory that the Scots are, in fact, a “lost tribe of Israel.” When historians, Biblical scholars, and adherents to British Israelism debate that theory, things get noisy.

But let’s return to the Rosslyn bones, continuing to suppose that the remains belong to the jealous master and the slain apprentice. What better place for the apprentice to be buried than beneath the carved head of his grieving mother? And what greater insult to the master than to be condemned, forever, to be trodden underfoot by God-fearing Scots?

As it happens, though, the head of the apprentice is also gazing at an exquisitely carved pillar—one attributed to the master’s hands. Curiously, there is evidence that the Master’s Pillar, as it is now known, had been concealed under a plain exterior for over 400 years and had been rediscovered by architect David Bryce during his 1860s restoration efforts. Might it not have been concealed because it was, after all, the work of an arch sinner? The Scots have historically done much more about a lot less, particularly over matters of morality.

Whether or not there is any truth to the slain apprentice legend, it is the height of coincidence that Rosslyn’s most enduring legend involves the murder of one man by another, by a blow to the head, and that the murder has been memorialized by the carved heads of the murderer and the victim, on the wall above the unmarked grave of two recently discovered bodies, one of which shows indications of having been killed by a blow to the head.

But until the forensic experts release their findings, we must consider the possibility that the bones were put there more recently.

In 1846, during a lecture at London’s Institute of British Architects, antiquary John Britton criticized the lines in Walter Scott’s Lay of the Last Minstrel that suggest ten Rosslyn barons were buried, in full armor, below the chapel. Also in attendance was William Burn, the architect in charge of the chapel’s 1830 restoration. Burn supported Britton by claiming he had dug trenches up all three of the chapel’s aisles, finding only one vault with a wooden coffin (presumably the vault long known to be accessed under flagstones in the north aisle, towards the rear of the chapel).

Burn makes no mention of having found human remains in the center aisle. But since his work was mainly concerned with the exterior of the chapel, there remains the possibility that Burn lied to support Britton’s skeptical opinions, because the restoration of the chapel was the subject of a heated and ongoing debate. Thirty-four years later, in 1880, architect Andrew Kerr, under the direction of Robert St. Clair-Erskine, the 4th Earl of Rosslyn, added the baptistery to the chapel’s west end. If, as I suspect, the recently discovered bones stretched beneath the common threshold of both buildings, then there remains the interesting possibility that the bones were deposited there at that time, to be conveniently “discovered” at a later date. Kerr and the Earl have a well-documented conversation about the Slain Apprentice legend that appears on page 6 of the official Rosslyn Chapel guidebook, and it should be noted that both men were high-ranking Scottish Freemasons. The Earl, in fact, was the fraternity’s 63rd Grand Master.

While this article has been hampered by the lack of more available evidence, further revelations may soon be made public.

At the time of this writing, I have learned that Ashley Cowie, “resident historian” for STV’s The Hour Show, was recently seen at the chapel, shooting a new documentary series titled Legend Quest. Aired in July, the show is described as “an action-adventure series that follows real-life symbologist Ashley Cowie as he travels the world in search of hidden, mystical artifacts. Each episode is designed to combine Indiana Jones-style adventure and Da Vinci Code-type connections as theories are explored.” While that description hints the show will do for archaeology what The Deadliest Warrior has done for the history of military warfare, perhaps Cowie will surprise us. Stranger things, as we will now see, have happened.

Late in my research for this article, I stumbled upon a curious tale connecting the 4th Earl of Rosslyn with yet a third skeleton. This one, though, was the property of his widow.

On March 15, 2002, Sotheby’s auctioned the contents of Ken Paul’s London theatrical-prop company. One paragraph of the Sotheby announcement reads as follows: “The ultimate conversation piece has to be the mystery clock in a full-sized inlaid mahogany coffin, dated c. 1900—complete with real skeleton—used in the opening scenes of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The skeleton is rumored to be the remains of the young Italian lover and secretary of the Countess of Rosslyn. After his death, she couldn’t bear to be separated from him, so she immortalized him in the clock and took him everywhere with her!” Acquired by Ken Paul from an unnamed music-hall escape artist, the clock was won by an anonymous bidder for £35,000.

The Countess of Rosslyn at the time of the skeleton clock’s manufacture had been married to the 4th Earl from 1866 until his death in 1890. Her own death, in 1933, would have provided the perfect opportunity for the rest of the family to offload Grandma’s Italian paramour to the escapologist—at an eminently negotiable price, I’m sure.

Interestingly, besides appearing in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the clock had most recently been hired to appear in a then-unreleased film about Jack the Ripper, From Hell, which presented the theory that Jack was a Freemason.

But the story of the clock’s connection to the Countess of Rosslyn seemed suspect. I knew of only one Scottish luminary who was intimately involved with an Italian secretary—none other than Mary, Queen of Scots. On March 9, 1566, Secretary David Rizzio was stabbed to death in Holyrood Palace for being the queen’s confidant and lover and for being a Catholic. It has also been bandied about that he was the father of Mary’s son, the future king of both Scotland and England.

Although a plaque in Edinburgh’s Canongate Kirkyard reads “Tradition says that this is the grave of David Rizzio,” who really knows? Could the countess and the queen have traded places in the telling of the tale over the years? Might not the bones in the clock be the bones of David Rizzio? Moreover, in a macabre concordance with the Rosslyn bones, there is an Edinburgh tradition that Rizzio’s body was first buried at the threshold of Holyrood Abbey as a sign of disrespect.

My speculation that the clock’s skeleton is David Rizzio’s is not that outrageous.

It is well known that the Freemasons have made ritualistic use of skeletal remains. One short sentence in the 1896 minutes of Edinburgh’s Mary’s Chapel Lodge reads that “Brother Hay’s presentation of a skull was accepted with thanks,” and in the 1851 minutes we find an even more bizarre entry: “The Lodge was upon this occasion presented with two Thigh Bones of a Nun by Dr. McCowan.”

Just two years later, in 1853, the 4th Earl of Rosslyn is listed as Deputy Master of the Canongate Killwinning Lodge, still located on Edinburgh’s St. John Street, just a hundred yards or so from Rizzio’s Canongate Kirk grave. That’s 1,750 miles closer than Prescott Bush, President George W.’s grandfather, trekked to bring the skull of Geronimo back to Yale University’s most storied secret society, Skull & Bones.

Or could the escapologist have made the whole tale up?

Until the unnamed buyer steps forward and allows the bones to be studied, we can only speculate about the skeleton clock.

BOBO: The Sea Monster of Monterey Bay

Bobo is a cryptid that dwells near Monterey Bay, California. Descriptions vary greatly, and sightings of it are fairly common. It is generally thought to be big, from that of an orca or small whale.

Mr. E.J. Lear gave an account of an unknown sea creature to the Santa Cruz Sentinel in 1925:

"I was driving a team toward Capitola, when suddenly I was attracted by some young sea lions not far out. They were lined up and several large lions were swimming back and forth in front of them. Much farther out I saw the water being churned to foam and thrown high up in the air. It was shiny and I took it for a big fish. A dozen or more lions were battling it, and every once in a while all would raise out of the water. It looked to me as though all the sea lions were attacking it beneath as the monster came out of the water several times. In telling of the battle of that night I estimated its length at 30 feet.

"The battle continued as long as I could see it from the road. I was driving toward Capitola with a load of sand. I have not seen the monster on the beach, but it may have been that which I saw."

A few days later the body of a strange creature was discovered by Charles Moore on the shore in the very same area that Mr. Lear saw the battle. The body was examined by a naturalist, E. L. Wallace who said "My examination of the monster was quite thorough. I felt in its mouth and found it had no teeth. Its head is large and its neck fully twenty feet long. The body is weak and the tail is only three feet in length from the end of the backbone. These facts do away with the whale theory, as the backbone of a whale is far larger than any bone in this animal. Again, its tail is too weak for an animal of the deep and does away with that last version. With a bill like it possesses, it must have lived on herbage...I would call it a type of plesiosaurus."

"Later, Mr. Wallace offered the theory that the monster may have been preserved in a glacier for millions of years, finally being released by the gradual melting of ice, eventually ending up cast upon the shore in Monterey Bay."

Bobo's Tale Resurfaces

It was a clear fall day, and the Pacific Ocean was as flat and clear as a giant mirror. From Captain Sal Colletto’s small salmon fishing boat, 10 miles off Moss Landing, the indentation of the Monterey Bay on the shore looked like a giant’s thumbprint as he headed back towards Point Pinos. After a day of luckless fishing in the waters of Santa Cruz, the Monterey fisherman was looking forward to getting home.

Suddenly, Colletto noticed something floating in the sea about a half-mile farther out. Thinking it might be a man bobbing in the ocean, he gunned the engine and headed out towards the object. When the captain got within 100 feet of the thing, he saw a creature with a head the size of a 50-gallon barrel. It was tapered to where a duck-like bill protruded from the massive bulging forehead.

Colletto started to think about how a pair of fishermen had disappeared recently without a trace. Maybe this sea monster had devoured them. Not wanting to join their ranks, he pushed his boat’s throttle all the way down and headed back toward the Monterey Peninsula. He decided that he would not tell anyone about what he had seen.

Sixteen years later, Colletto was traveling towards the fishing grounds off Half Moon Bay on his 45-foot boat, the Dante Alighieri. While the crew ate lunch in the galley below, Colletto and his brother-in-law swapped fishing stories as the craft headed northward. Eventually, his brother-in-law started talking about a strange sea creature he had spotted a few times at the edge of the deep Monterey submarine canyon. Colletto got the chills as his brother-in-law described how other fishermen had said the beast would only surface on calm, sunny days 24 hours before a strong northwest wind started to blow.

It was a windless day, and the water was smooth and silver as liquid mercury. As Colletto gazed towards the Santa Cruz Mountains, he observed something bobbing in the sea and his heart fluttered like a dying fish’s gills. He realized immediately that it was that strange creature.

“All hands on deck,” Colletto yelled to the crew. They poured out of the galley and stood on the bow of the boat, wondering what the commotion was all about.

“I want all of you guys to see this,” he said as he slowly brought the boat closer to the beast. The captain then cut the motor, and the boat drifted within 50 feet of the object. The creature’s eyes were closed and it floated on the surface as if it were sunbathing or sleeping.

“It has the face of a monkey,” his cook squealed. “Let’s leave. This is a bad omen.”

“No, its face looks like that of an old man,” Colletto’s brother-in-law said.

The noise must have awakened the monster, and it slowly opened its eyes, which were as big and pink as grapefruits. The creature’s body was brown and almost as long as the boat. Its skin was wrinkled and sagged from its frame like ill-fitting clothing. Colletto thought to himself that this was a very old animal.

While the crew argued about what the animal looked like, the monster quietly slid underwater like an elderly man easing into a bath.

Following the sighting, several other fishermen saw the creature, and eventually, the people of Monterey started to refer to the animal as “Bobo, the old man of the sea.” From then on, Colletto kept a camera on his vessel hoping to once again spot “Bobo” and get photographic evidence of its existence. He never saw it again.

A few years later, in 1925, a strange sea creature washed ashore on a beach two miles north of Santa Cruz. Though the dead body was decomposed, scientists including E.L. Wallace, a former president of the Natural History Society of British Columbia, did not think the carcass was that of a whale or shark. Wallace even suggested that the animal might be a plesiosaurus, a large marine reptile held over from the Jurassic period.

Another Witness Account

This is an account of a sighting that has remained a mystery for me and my brother for approximately 38 years now. My brother and I, along with our Dad, were fishing in Monterey Bay in 1971 or 1972.

We had rented a 16-foot boat and were headed out into the bay with my brother at the controls. I was seated up front next to him and our Dad was sitting behind us. Suddenly, just a dozen yards or so directly in front of us, some kind of a large sea creature was starting to surface. We saw only part of its arched body, but it was directly in front of us and we both got a good, close-up look. Even though we were total amateurs in all sea-faring activities and knew nothing at all about sea life, we were both convinced that we saw something that wasn't supposed to be in Monterey Bay. We both continued to describe this creature as "some kind of prehistoric sea creature". (That was about the only way we could think of to describe what we saw) We may have been young and inexperienced, but we ALWAYS have maintained that what we saw was not normal. We noted its skin texture, color, and the fact that it had large scales.

Tonight was the very first time that we have ever heard of anything like this being spotted in Monterey Bay. My brother watched the program *"Lost Tapes", then just informed me! After 38 years, we now are happy to say that "We probably were right all along"!!! We have ALWAYS maintained that what we saw was not normal at all.

*The witness is referring to Sharon Novak and the Sea Creature episode

The cable channel Animal Planet had a series called "Lost Tapes." One episode, first aired in January 2009, tells about Sharon Novak and a sea creature. The film does not credit any actress. Allegedly, while attempting a round-the-world trip, in her sailboat named Artemis, journalist Sharon Novak got a distress call while in Monterey Bay. When she arrived at the scene she found an empty boat. Her boat got bumped and she fell overboard. While trying to swim back to the boat, she was supposedly eaten by a sea creature.

A camera atop the main sail mast records her efforts to get back to her boat. A waterproof camera she was wearing records a fin and some splashing. This supposedly happened in the summer of 2007. A few problems that people have noticed. No news stories on Sharon Novak and no story of a lone woman boat owner going missing in Monterey Bay have been found. No one in Monterey or Santa Cruz has a record of such an incident. The Coast Guard in Monterey, California has no record of any incident involving a vessel named Artemis or any record of Sharon Novak in all of 2007. How is it her waterproof camera survives and her body does not? No writings or blogs of Sharon Novak have been found.

A 42-foot sailboat named “Artemis” does exist. It is owned by, Great Traditions Of The Sea, in Malibu, California. It is for teaching sailing and is otherwise for rent.

The Moore Beach Monster

"On June 4, 1925, the newspapers of Santa Cruz and San Francisco, California, apprised the public of the occurrence of a sea serpent, or other more or less fabled marine monster in California waters. A few days prior to the newspaper stories, the remains of a large marine animal had been washed ashore on the beach at Santa Cruz, California. Decomposition had set in, and close examination of the carcass was not lightly undertaken. Consequently, the tales were the result of distant and hasty examination. When the news of the presence of this creature reached Dr. Barton Warren Evermann, of the California Academy of Sciences, he visited the spot and pronounced the "sea serpent" to be the eviscerated carcass of a beaked whale. More specific identification was impossible at that time, but arrangements were made to have the skull preserved and it is now incorporated in the collections of the California Academy of Sciences.

Examination of the skull after its arrival at the museum proved it to be that of the rare Baird's beaked whale (Berardius bairdii Stejneger), previously known to science by only ten specimens.

When the skull reached the museum, the tips of the mandibles had been broken off, and one pterygoid and the teeth were missing; otherwise it was in good condition." - Journal of Mammalogy, November 1929

BIZARRE SOUNDS & LAUGHTER Reported in Bankhead National Forest, Alabama

An Alabama couple is in the Bankhead National Forest when they start to hear unexplained crashing sounds, accompanied by an unknown creature's snorting & 'demonic' laughter.

I recently received the following account:

"Hello. I recently had an interesting encounter in the forest with my girlfriend. We go to this place as a gathering spot, to heal, to learn. I've always had a relationship with Bankhead National Forest in Alabama. From the first time I visited the place, I felt the profound spiritual essence of the forest. I have often been able to bond with the forest creatures there.

On the most recent trip, we went with no dogs and were not that well prepared. By the time we were ready to leave the back falls it was already getting dark. We had to really hustle to get out of the forest and back up to the trailhead leading back to the car. At one point all our lights went out and phones died. It's at this critical point on the trail where we have to take a side trail off the marked trail to get back up to the car.

Luckily we spot the exit and make our way back up hills towards the car. Right as we make it out of the forest and can see the last bit of sunlight through the low branches to guide us out, and in this final moment of the trip a noise I can't quite place nor accurately describe reverberated through the forest. What sounded like an Asgard plasma beam dropping through the canopy of the forest, trees crashing and limbs breaking, and then we heard the creature itself let out something like a large animal's snort combined with a demon's laugh. 

Never heard anything like this at Bankhead. My first thought was Skinwalker. We both felt like we were being watched for a time down by the water. Kind regards, tread carefully." M

Lake Champlain's OTHER MONSTER!

A New York man recalls an encounter that his sister had on the shores of Lake Champlain during a picnic in 1957. She later stated that it resembled 'The Creature From the Black Lagoon.'

I received the following account:
“Back in 1957 my mother, father, and little sister who was 6 were picnicking near Rouse's Point, New York on the shore of Lake Champlain. At one point my sister walked to the end of a dock and looked into the water. She turned to leave and heard a noise behind her. She turned and saw two black webbed hands appear at the end of the dock. Then suddenly a child-size head appeared.

At this point, she screamed and ran back to us and told us what she saw. Her scream had already alarmed us and we were running towards her to see what was wrong. After she told us what happened, my father told us to stay here and went to inspect the dock where he found two web-like hand prints at its end. Well, the picnic was over.

Many times I heard my father relate this story to friends and relatives. Sometimes they would nod their heads and recount their odd stories of the lake.

Two more things, years later when my sister saw the old movie 'The Creature From the Black Lagoon' she swears that it was similar to the creature she saw that day. When my father, who liked to fish on the lake, passed away, I was going through his belongings to find, at the bottom of his tackle box, a loaded .45 caliber pistol. Odd for a tackle box but I guess he thought better safe than sorry.

I'm 70 and it makes no difference to me if you believe this story or not, I'm just relating what happened years ago while on a picnic. Thank you.” R

Wangkatha Nation Elder Describes the GAARNBUNNO, Australia's Man-Eating Hairy Hominid

A Wangkatha Nation Elder named Genevieve describes the Gaarnbunno, a tall hairy hominid that inhabits Western Australia. She warns that this beast has a taste for human flesh.

"I have a story I want to share with you of what my old people taught me. I am a First Nations Australian and an Elder of the Wangkatha Nation in Western Australia. A word of warning. When you're in the desert you have to stick together. There are many dangers. But if you listen to what the old people say you will be all right.

Our people have been in the desert since the dream time. We are Wangkatha. That is also the name of our language. We have spoken the same language for over 60,000 years. The Europeans only just got here in the 1800s. Our people know the desert and everything in it and how to survive and be safe. There are some places that are especially dangerous because of who lives there. The Gaarnbunno are very tall and covered all over in long black hair. They look like a giant hairy man they live in the rocky caves and these days they even live in the old abandoned mine shafts left over from the gold rush. They capture adults and children, throw them over their enormous shoulders, and carry them back to their dark caves and mine shafts. They kill and eat them. They leave big piles of animal and human bones all around their lair.

If a person or a child isn't keeping up with the group when traveling on foot through these areas the Gaarnbunnowill catch them. This is a real danger. Don't wander off alone and keep up with your group. Don't stray behind or you'll end up in his lair surrounded by many bones before he eats you too." G

Possible ALIEN ENTITY Photographed in Tarija Region, Bolivia

This would not be the first case of sightings of unidentified flying objects and unexplained beings in the Tarija region of Bolivia. This is just the most recent alien-related sighting reported in South America.

An image captured on the banks of the Pilcomayo River, in the department of Tarija, caused a stir on social networks by showing what some Internet users speculated as a being of extraterrestrial origin. The photograph, which initially portrays a person, reveals in its background an enigmatic figure that seems to belong to another world. As the image spread across digital platforms, the astonishing scene left some stumped, while others couldn't help but express their skepticism.

Given the growing uncertainty and the need to elucidate the authenticity of the image. The renowned ufologist, Javier Carlos Cordero, known for his experience in the study of extraterrestrial sightings and phenomena, shared his analysis of the enigmatic image.

“On the edge of the Pilcomayo River, you can see this being walking or walking. In the snapshot, you can see a half-transparent being with elongated limbs, typical characteristics of what is known as a gray being," Cordero said, shedding light on the possible nature of the mysterious being.

However, the ufologist did not rush to draw any final conclusions and emphasized the need for a thorough investigation before reaching any verdicts. “ This image must undergo a process of analysis through a filter that determines its authenticity and whether it has been subjected to digital manipulation. Only then can we discern whether we are dealing with genuine evidence or an edited product,” added Cordero, stressing the importance of a rigorous approach.

This would not be the first case of sightings of unidentified flying objects and unexplained beings in the Tarija region. In recent days, the First International Ufology Meeting was held in the department of Tarija, which suggests a continuous attraction towards this type of phenomenon. “Tarija seems to have a special connection to activities of this type and this reinforces the notion that there could be something more at play. The presence of abundant minerals and dimensional portals in the area could be related. In addition, the Mecoya case of May 6, 1978, is being re-examined, where sightings of ships and similar beings were reported,” Cordero explained, underlining the history and context surrounding these inexplicable phenomena.

Amid uncertainty and online debate, the enigmatic image continues to defy reason and logic, leaving the community on edge and anxious about the conclusions of the ongoing investigation. The mystery persists and, for now, the possible encounter with the unknown continues to captivate the imagination of many.

WHITE OWL ENCOUNTERS: Wisconsin Experiencer Asks 'Were They Harbingers?'

A young Wisconsin woman has multiple encounters with large white owls, followed by unexplained events. She contacted me to inquire if the owls were harbingers of other experiences.

I received the following account:

"In the summer of 2014, I was driving around the lake roads of Vilas County in northern Wisconsin with a friend, late at night. We come up to this white owl sitting in the middle of the road. I might have thought nothing of it, except that it didn't move. I stopped my car in front of it, tried honking, and flashing my lights, and it just stared us down. So I crept around it.

We get up the road about two miles more and turn a corner. There in the middle of the road is this really long, slender, white figure sprawled out, taking up nearly the entire span of the street. My friend and I freaked out, I swear she even yelled, "Alien?!" From a distance, it did distinctly look like a humanoid figure, with a notable shoulder formation and limbs.

So I drive up a little closer to it, and it becomes clear that the thing is another white owl, with its wings spread out like it is dead or taking a defensive posture. I'm not sure. I had to drive partly in the grass to get around it. The whole time my friend freaked out, "Go, go, go, go, let's get back into town."

Looking back there are definitely a couple strange things about that incident other than the weird coincidence of seeing two white owls behaving strangely out there, in a region where white owls aren't that common. The first weird thing is that the way the figure appeared to us from a distance was so different from what it became when we got up close. My brain doesn't really like processing it. The other weird thing is that the figure was so long. I don't think that any owl has a wingspan as long as this wingspan would have had to be for it to take up the entire road like that.

Then about three weeks later I was with two different friends, driving around again. I had my window down, and a white owl swooped down from the trees. You could see it leaving the trees from the front windshield, but there was no time to react before it nearly flew into my open window. I remember seeing its face there, like inches from mine in that split second before it veered back up.

This was shortly before I developed really bad anxiety for the first time. I got home one night that summer after I'd been out pretty late, and I had a sore throat. So I looked in the mirror, and in the back of my throat, on the wall just past the uvula was a hole, about the size of a pencil eraser.

It was a very perfect shape, and it had smooth edges like it wasn't a wound. There was no pus around it, no bleeding. It made no sense at all. I understandably freaked out, rushed in, and made my mom look (I was about 18, still living with my mom). She didn't believe me at first, but then I remember seeing the look on her face go from skepticism to horror when she actually peered inside my mouth.

But when we got to the hospital, whatever had been wrong with my throat was fixed. There was no evidence that a hole had ever been back there, aside from my mom and I both insisting there was. The doctor basically treated us both like we were crazy and said it was physically impossible for there to be a disappearing hole in the mouth.

After that, I had horrible anxiety for years. I quit smoking and developed an OCD-like obsession with washing my hands and checking my throat. That mystery was never solved, and it's honestly a really horrible moment in my life that's taken me years to come to terms with. Do you believe that the white owls were harbingers and/or the cause of the strange incidents?" LL

'OTHERWORLDLY' ROAR Heard Near Solomons Island in Southern Maryland

A man is staying at his girlfriend's house near Solomons Island, Maryland. He is on the deck late at night when he hears sounds nearby. Soon, he experiences the most frightening 'roar' he has ever heard!

I received the following account:

"Hi, Lon. I recently found your contact ad on Google. All I can say is my encounter happened, it was real and it’s one of my favorite stories. I was staying with a girlfriend of mine while I was in college. She lived just north of Solomons Island in southern Maryland. On a small note, she lived at the top of a ravine in the middle of the woods. She didn’t have neighbors for about 1/2 a mile in each direction.

It was late on a Saturday at the beginning of the summer. I say late but it was really early, probably about 2:30-3:00 AM. I couldn’t sleep so I decided to go outside and sit on the deck reading and listening to music. It was really nice out so I figured why not. Her porch/patio was big and had an outside light that shined about 30 feet to the edge of the woods where it stopped and the night took over.

As I sat and enjoyed my book and music I began to notice something. You know when you have your headphones on and you can still hear the external sound? Well, I kept hearing a rustling. It sounded like leaves rustling, but every time I hit pause and looked the sound went away. This went on for about 5 or 6 more times until I had enough. I knew I heard it, I wasn’t crazy. So I paused the music. As soon as I did I heard the rustling. I shot up and looked at its origin. Still nothing in sight, but the sound remained.

I expected to see a squirrel or a rabbit scurrying about but nothing. And the longer I listened I realized that it was not the only “thing” nearby. There were three! All moving in unison just beyond the light's reach. Again at first, I figured squirrels, rabbits, or maybe even a raccoon given the hour. But the next part is what changed my whole perspective.

As I stood there staring into the abyss trying to find the origin of all the mild ruckus, an acorn flew passed my head. At first, I thought 'Oh it fell.' Nope. They were being thrown from the darkness. My mind was racing. 'OMG, BIGFOOT!' That is all that I could think of. So I started picking up the acorns and throwing them back. Trying to escalate the situation you know, and hoping I can catch a glimpse. After about 5 minutes I grew tired of our game and wanted to test the boundaries.

I started walking off the porch with a spare golf club in my hand from my girlfriend's brother’s set and headed for the woods. Now most people who spend any amount of time in the woods will tell you that there’s always sound in the woods. Nothing. Not a freaking sound. It truly was a deafening silence. No crickets, no breeze, no bugs. Zero, zip, nada. The only time this happens is when a predator is nearby. I’m an experienced hunter and I know everything that could be in those woods. Nothing would make it that quiet.

A feeling of dread washed over me when all sound left. It was like those moments when time slowed down before an accident. But I pushed on because I'd come this far, no time to chicken out now. I started to move closer to the front of the house walking up the lane when I was altered to one of the wildest roars I’ve ever heard. Foxes will make a sound that resembles a woman’s scream. This thing was otherworldly. It sounded like a mixture of a human scream coupled with a silverback gorilla roar. Nothing makes that sound. Every hair on my body stood up. I had never in my life heard something so grotesque and inhuman. The worst part was that it was about 30 yards away in the woods. I’m sure it was watching my every move.

So, without turning my back to the woods, I slowly crept back to the house locking the door behind me. I tried to tell my girlfriend but she thought I was just high. It was real. It happened, I just don’t know what it was." R

NOTE: Southern Maryland is a hotbed for cryptid activity. I have heard and read about possible Bigfoot encounters and sightings in the area in the past. There have supposedly been a few historical encounters from the 19th century. Lon
