WINGED HUMANOID Recently Reported Over Evanston, Illinois Public Storage

I recently received a new report of a winged humanoid sighting in Evanston, Illinois. The witness was at a Public Storage facility and happened to see the being gliding above her.

"Hi, Lon. I decided to come forward and tell you about my early and most encounter. I've never told a soul about this, fearing that I would be rebuffed.

My earliest experience was on a November 2014 night at approximately 9PM, and I was in my bed watching television. I was 17 years old and living at home with my parents and younger brother in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Directly above my bed were three windows with glass panels. The television was to the left of my bed. Suddenly, my attention was drawn to the floor approximately four feet from the desk my television was on. What I saw was a beam of light moving very quickly in small circles in one concentrated spot on my floor. The circle motions it made were not perfect, the best I can describe them as were "wobbly circles." The beam was solid, pure solid light, and approximately an inch or less wide. It was very thin. The color was pure white with somewhat of a blueish tinge around the outside of the beam. The beam itself was bright but did not seem to emit any light beyond its edges. My room was not filled with light, only this beam.

I watched the light for about 30 seconds, but I began to feel dread and fled my room in a state of total panic. I was not able to tell exactly which of the three windows the beam was aimed through, but assumed that had it beamed straight into my room onto the wall parallel it would be 90 degrees, I would estimate that it hit my floor at a diagonal angle of about 60 degrees.

When I got downstairs, I looked outside to see any evidence of a craft (I have never to my knowledge witnessed a UFO) and there was none. There were no aircraft of any kind besides high-flying commercial planes. I did not tell anyone in my house about what I had seen. I wasn't sure if my mind was playing tricks on me or what had actually happened, but I saw something. When I checked the area later, there was no evidence whatsoever of the beam having ever touched my floor.

Two days later, I witnessed one more anomalous event which I believe may be connected, and this time my younger brother was also a witness. A pitch black figure, which appeared to be two dimensional, in a very humanoid form quickly passed across a window and wall which were directly in front of where we were sitting, about 12 feet away. The figure had no discernable features on its face, no clothing, and no hair. Just a round head and human-like torso were all we were able to make out. It was impossible to make a height estimate. It was for certain inside our house, not a reflection from outside. The sighting of this "being" lasted about 10 seconds. Then it faded away. There was no logical explanation for what we saw, it was most certainly paranormal. I have seen a figure like that once before and I am certain it was of the same nature.

Recently (August 15, 2023), I witnessed a dark humanoid-like being that I saw flying in the early evening sky (around 7:15 PM). It had large wings that were shaped like a bat. I'd say that it was approximately 150-200 feet above me, gliding westbound very slowly. I reached for my phone, but it suddenly gathered speed and quickly zoomed off. I live near Chicago, Illinois in Evanston, but the sighting took place while I was at the Public Storage located at 2050 Green Bay Rd. I was with my husband and daughter at the time.

Last night (August 20, 2023) my husband and I observed a huge bright cylindrical object in the sky. It streaked above our property while we were in the backyard. The time was approximately 9:40 PM. It was traveling too fast for a photograph.

I found your contact information after searching Google. I then saw and read about the Chicago Mothman sightings. I had never heard anything about these sightings previously.

I wonder if this winged humanoid was related to my previous experiences in Morgantown? Feel free to personally contact me. Thanks. LL"

NOTE: I was able to talk to the witness today. There isn't much more information that she can provide, other than that she is apprehensive about her sighting and fears that it is related to her previous experiences. Lon

Strange Case of a Vanishing Hermit (Newspaper Account)

Here's a weird story that was published in The (Camden, New Jersey) 'Courier-Post' on July 11, 1932. It's an account of a mysterious hermit who shows a dead body to two other men. But then the hermit vanishes.

"A mysterious hermit, with long a flowing beard and a chilling cackle, led two Boy Scout leaders Saturday midnight to the body of a murdered man in a Delaware County, Pa., woods.

Then, as he showed them the remains, the hermit disappeared.

An all-night and all-day search of the vicinity has failed to locate him. The murdered man has not been identified.

The Scout leaders were Wilmer Brown, 31, scoutmaster of the Colwyn Troop, and Walter Hawks, his assistant. They were on their way to the Scout camp on Darby Creek, Delaware township.

When the two were at the edge of the woods, the hermit appeared. Flashlights of the Scouts picked out his weird countenance from among the heavy brush and trees. "Do you want to see something?" the hermit asked in his strange, cackling way.

"Yes," the two replied, although later admitting they were frightened for the moment. Then the hermit led them through thicket and underbrush, over little used by-paths, and through parts of the woods where no paths at all appeared.

He came to a little clearing. Bending over, he parted the underbrush and said one word" "Look."

Brown and Hawks complied. They saw, with startled eyes, the form of a man. A gun lay close at hand. They advanced into the thicket to get a closer view. Then turning to question the hermit, they discovered he had silently vanished.

The Scouts ran to the Springfield Township police headquarters. Sergeant Chandler was on duty. He called Coroner J. Evan Scheehle of Delaware County and a searching party set out.

It took them nearly two hours to again reach the spot where the body of the man lay. At first, it was believed he was a suicide. But no bullet holes were found In his tattered clothing or his decomposed body.

The body was taken to the county morgue and an autopsy was performed. Then it was disclosed that the man had been beaten to death. Two shots had been fired from the gun near at hand, but neither entered the body of the man.

His clothing, though worn and tattered by exposure, told police the man had been well-to-do. Expensive dental work furnished a clue.

Police are checking with all dentists in the Philadelphia area in hopes of identifying the man. Meanwhile, the hunt for the mysterious hermit with the white, flowing whiskers continues."

NOTE: Was this simply the case of the hermit killing the man and running away? Was the hermit ever found? Or was this something more supernatural? I'll leave it up to you to decide. Lon

'The Night I Decapitated the Old Hag!'

A Juneau, Alaska woman recalls waking in her bed and feeling something sitting beside her. She reaches around and grabs a head of hair. The head of an old hag pops off!
I received the following account:
“This occurred about twenty years ago when I was living in Juneau, Alaska. I was going through a really bad divorce. There was a lot of violence in the marriage and stuff and the doctor had given me some medication to help me sleep.
Now I was lying in bed on my stomach when all of a sudden I felt a very heavy pressure sit on the side of the bed right next to me. I tried to get up. Well, I was concerned that it was my soon-to-be ex-husband had gotten into the house and was sitting next to me. I was trying to turn around to see but I couldn't.
Then all of a sudden I heard a woman laugh. Like a woman who was a really heavy smoker, and she continued laughing. Very gravelly sounding or that's what I call it. I tried to sit up again and it was like she flung herself back on top of me. She was just laughing and laughing.
So I reached my arm around and I grabbed the hair on the head and I pulled it... and the head literally popped off! It hung by the hair and I looked at it. It was a very wrinkled, old face. I fainted. I just totally blacked out for a short time but I soon came back to consciousness.
My dog was whimpering and sniffing at me. I knew then that I wasn't imagining it. I noticed that there was a clump of hair in my hand. The head had disappeared. I wanted to throw them away, you know, throw them out. But then I thought, I'm going put them on the nightstand and so I did. I don't know why I did so.
I sat up in bed for a long time. Finally, the dog calmed down and fell asleep. So I went back to sleep. It was weird because I felt so calm and relaxed.
I woke up the next morning and I remembered what had happened and I looked over to the dresser where I had put the hair. They were gone, but I was so very terrified. I know what happened, but feared that the old hag would return.
All these years later, the old hag never came back.”

Cave-Dwelling 'HAIRY PEOPLE' Warning Proclaimed by West Virginia Property Owner

A Calhoun County, West Virginia resident writes about the danger associated with the 'hairy people' in his area. Apparently, the local law enforcement refuses to talk about it.

"I've been threatened by law enforcement and political leaders in our area for my continued mention of the 'hairy people.' We own a small plot of land in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains (Calhoun County, West Virginia). We've got over 60 acres. It's been in my family for generations.

I have a story to tell you about my brother and his friend that happened just three years ago. My brother didn't believe me about not crossing into the hairy people's valley. He is ex-military. They decided to hunt and camp right on the line where we don't cross. They camped too close to these monsters. Well, they found out the hard way that these beasts mean business.

They woke up at three in the morning hearing their two large pitbull dogs being ripped to pieces. They came home crying for all of us to go with them and wipe out the whole family of these hairy beings. I explained to him that we've seen at least 30 of them going into the caves where they live. I know if we started a war with these hairy people we will lose. They can hide in these miles of caves then come out and come after whoever they want when they want. You will receive no help from the government or the cops. It's just an unwritten law for some reason, I don't know why. But I know it's true.

Please share my story. People need to know that they are not only fighting these monsters but for some reason we are fighting the very people who're supposed to keep us safe. I'm sure I'll be catching hell from our local law enforcement but I'm beyond giving a damn. I'm ready to speak up and start talking about these dangerous hairy people. Thanks."

Young Girl Returns Unchanged AFTER 30 YEARS!

This account was recently forwarded to me. It occurred in the Canary Islands in 1905. A young girl was approached by a white-clad man. She went missing. But 30 years later, she returned unchanged.

In 1905, a young girl was sent by her parents to gather fruit in the area of Tenerife, Canary Islands just before supper. However, the girl never returned and a massive search was conducted all over Tenerife for her. She was never found.

However three decades later (in 1958), the young girl reportedly returned; looking exactly the same as the time that she disappeared. According to her, only 15-20 minutes had gone by. According to the girl, as she was collecting pears from a pear grove, she noticed a very tall man dressed in white standing near her. Strangely she felt no fear but instead felt a strange attraction toward the man. The tall entity then invited the girl to follow him, and she immediately accepted.

The girl accompanied the stranger into a nearby ravine named Barranco de Badajoz, where there was a descending set of steps and the girl followed the white-clad stranger down. At the bottom of the steps, there was a garden in which there were other similar white-dressed entities. The girl remembers speaking for a few minutes with the strange group and later was guided back up the steps by the initial entity which then bade farewell to the girl.

Incredibly to the girl, it had only been missing 15-20 minutes but in actuality, 30 years had gone by. Apparently, the investigators were frustrated by the lack of cooperation by the local authorities about the event; only one local elderly woman came forward and suggested that the “Girl of the Pears” might still be alive.

NOTE: There are many legends about Barranco de Badajoz. Many people claim to have seen apparitions of angelic beings and to have experienced various paranormal phenomena, ranging from UFOs to apparitions and orbs, balls of fire, and appearances of spectral phenomena. Lon

Experiencer Healed by UNKNOWN LIGHT BEAM (PHOTOS)

A Pennsylvania woman was in her front yard at night when she was illuminated by a bright intense ray of light. She suffered a terrible rash. But later, she believes that she was healed by the light.

I received the following account:

"I was told by a friend that you may be interested in my report. At the time of the incident, I lived in south-central Pennsylvania near Chambersburg. The date was June 16, 2018.

I was with my dog in the front yard. It was late night and I let the dog out before going to bed. Suddenly, I was hit by a bright blinding light from above. It felt like it went down in me, then back up. It lifted my upper body up just a little bit. I felt like my arms and chest expanded with pure intense energy and light. When I looked down, my body was covered in shimmering light. The grass, the leaves, my arms. When I looked around, my movement felt like it was flowing. It stopped after about 10 seconds. Then for about 20 mins after, I would get a small glimpse of that feeling, and I would get goosebumps up and down my arms and a warm feeling across my chest.

The next morning I noticed a rash starting on my chest and arms. It spread very fast. Across my chest, down my shoulders, arms, and tops of my hands. Everywhere that was exposed the night before. It continuously got worse. It was very painful and burned off and on. It was scaly as well. I soon called a dermatologist and was able to book an emergency appointment for 2 days later. It bothered me so bad, I almost went to the emergency room.

The doctor had no idea what it was. It wasn't psoriasis or dermatitis. They tested for skin cancer, which was negative. They gave me a steroid cream and pills, but it didn't work at all. Nothing helped my condition. It was very itchy, it ached, and was bright red. If the sun got on it the sores would swell and itch.

I was also hearing strange sounds in my left ear. I heard humming, ringing, beeping tones, and a few times I heard people talking in an unrecognizable language.

Then, one night, about 2 weeks later, I went to sleep and had terrible nightmares. I woke several times feeling nauseous. In the morning when I woke, I got out of bed to go to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and the rash was completely gone. There was not a trace of the marks, and there was no scarring.

5 years since the recovery I feel better than ever. I used to suffer from Crohn's Disease and arthritis, but both have dissipated completely. The doctors tell me that I have no trace of either malady. Is there a possibility that I was healed by that unknown light?

TWO MASSIVE BIGFOOT Pin Down U.S Marine Platoon in California National Park

In one of the most hair-raising and detailed Bigfoot encounter accounts I have ever heard, a U.S. Marine platoon is pinned down during a national park operation by a pair of massive Bigfoot.

"I've feared the repercussions of divulging this story for well over 20 years even after my discharge from active service. We were told the penalty would be without mercy. It was considered sensitive classified information.

In August 1995 my U.S. Marine platoon was conducting our third counter-narcotic JTF operation in a pre-selective national forest in California in a location I will keep secret. The past two summers yielded solid results with the identification and eventual eradication of several big-dollar marijuana grows in two different national forests. Federal law prohibits the military from acting as a police force. We were armed, but we were not allowed to engage or make arrests. Our job was to covertly insert into pre-designated areas chosen because of their remoteness and prior activity and from gathered intelligence of Mexican cartel informants who had knowledge of growth sites in and around this particular national forest. Our job was to find a water source, follow it, look for signs, and locate any growth sites, then set up an observation post and gather intelligence and monitor activity until the state and local law enforcement made the bust. We're only allowed to use deadly force if our lives were physically threatened and even then it would be a slippery slope, even if they spotted us and confronted us. We would insert wearing civilian clothes and posing as hikers or campers.

We were in four-man teams on three-day patrols. I and my assistant team leader carry shotguns and nine millimeters. The two Junior Marines carried M16s A2s. We had thermals, GPS, compass, map, and protractors. We had a radio and a sound phone. We carried water filtration pumps and fire tents because of the threat of forest fire that year. It was a very dry summer. We did not carry a lot of ammunition. Our goal was to not be seen or get out of Dodge as quick as possible after finding the stream which ended up being a trickle due to the drought.

We pressed on for about two hours. We walked in the stream bed walking on each side. We're near vertical 50-foot walls. We navigated around an extremely wide curve in the stream that was on point and as I came around a giant boulder in the middle of the stream bed I saw directly in front of me brown fur and large claws. I raised my weapon which alerted the rest of the team and it was a bear, a dead bear lying on his stomach with his head nearly ripped off, twisted so it was facing up towards the sky. His four limbs draped over the sides of the flat elevated rock In the stream. It had large chunks of meat torn out along the sides of his spine and a gut pile. It was a gruesome sight. I didn't understand what I was looking at.

We took defensive positions because my only thought was poachers are Mexican growers looking for fresh meat after spending several months tending and guarding a grow site. My assistant, a Native American from the Navajo Nation in New Mexico, was the first to spot two sets of gigantic bare-toed footprints in the damp soil all around the stream bed. We followed them to the edge of the western side of the stream and they went straight up the near-vertical wall to the top. A person would need climbing gear to achieve that ascent. No ropes, no gear. Just disturbed dirt and rock from where they climbed straight up. We heard no one running, no one climbing, no rocks following. Just dead silence. A terrifying feeling of dread came over the team. My assistant looked very concerned. To make matters worse I asked him what the hell was going on and he said, "This ain't good boss."

The footprints were enormous. One set was clearly bigger than the other. I said to my assistant, "Why are they barefoot?" I still didn't get it. He suggested we re-route and change direction. He said we were somewhere where we shouldn't be and we're asking for trouble. He said they were wild men and this was their kill and their land and they're probably watching us as we speak. I looked dumbfounded and clueless and he whispered in my ear so that the other two junior guys wouldn't hear and freak out. Sasquatch. But he called them something else and for the life of me, I can't remember. It was something in his native tongue.

I felt like something was watching us now. Or was it my imagination? The air in the woods had changed. The woods got quiet. I heard no birds or crickets, even the mosquitoes stopped biting. I had an area of operation to Recon and a mission to accomplish. If I had radioed in that we were altering our route and told them why I would have been relieved of my responsibility and embarrassed in front of the entire platoon. I said we're moving out, let's pick up the pace and get to our next checkpoint before 1600 hours.

As we move to our next checkpoint I remember smelling the overpowering stench of rotting garbage. It was intense. It seemed to be everywhere. It was pungent to the point it almost made me sick. But then, it just went away as quick as it came. Things remained tense and uncertain. But when we discovered empty bags of fertilizer and several yards of gardening hose along the edge of the stream bed it alerted us to the possibility of a grow site and we soon forgot all about the weirdness that just happened. We followed the hose down from the stream onto a game trail and into a clearing about 200 yards off the stream. That was when we first smelled the unmistakable skunky aroma of marijuana. We could all see bits of fluorescent material through the trees which we assumed was a tent. So we have a grow site.

We did an area reconnaissance of 360 degrees and we found an ideal overwatch position on an elevated plateau about 75 yards from the growers' camp. We also spotted the pot field. I estimated at least 300 to 500 plants. We radioed everything in and set up our listening and observation posts. The crazy thing was there were no growers and we heard not a sound and from the appearance of the camp it seemed unusually unkept, almost abandoned. Something didn't add up. Did they spot us? Did they make a run for it even though these sites were cartel owned? These sites were usually operated by poor farmers smuggled into the woods with minimal supplies and tasked with living the entire growing season in the woods until harvest. After examining the camp and tying up some loose ends we kind of determined it had been abandoned for some time. But we had to assume they'd be back or were still in the area.

Around midnight I completed my two-hour security shift and I fell asleep almost immediately. While sleeping I remember hearing my guys speaking nervously, scared and confused, arguing and contemplating. I thought it was a dream, but in reality, they had a situation unfolding less than an hour after falling asleep. I awoke to a blood-curdling scream that punched me right in the gut. I awoke to three panicked Marines with the most terrified expressions that I've ever seen on grown men. I asked in my most pissed off, half asleep, angry voice, "Who the F screamed?" I thought our cover was blown and the operation was a wash. Their mouths hung open without a single word muttered.

I heard the scream again! I never heard anything like this. It was deep and guttural. It went through you like a sonic boom. It was like a woman screaming but deeper and louder. The garbage odor got stronger like we were lying in it. My assistant said, "12 o'clock movement." I got my weapon and grabbed the night vision. After fumbling around with the goggles I managed to get them turned on and I put them to my face. Now we had to scan for a couple of seconds. I had a heat source almost immediately and it was huge. I thought 'bear' but it walked from behind the tree, then crouched down real stealthy, then down to all fours behind the growers' tents. I knew it was no bear. It kept raising up peaking from behind the two tents. The growers' tents were set up side by side. It obviously didn't account for us having night vision and it stood up straight. There was no moon and it was pitch black out. I could see it fully.

I estimate this thing at 10 feet, maybe five feet across, with long lanky arms, and no neck. I can still remember how long its arms were in relation to its body it was not proportional at all. It started growling and it still didn't sink in what I was looking at. The growling was deep and continuous. I yelled at it. It immediately squatted back down behind the tents like it was thinking to itself, "Oh, they see me." Just then, like an explosion, it came crashing through the tents charging straight at us. The other three Marines were fumbling around in the dark for their flashlights. We were still grouped, but everyone was looking for gear and weapons. I chambered a shell and remember the distinct sound of the M16 charging handle to the left of me sliding home. At least we had two weapons on it. I dropped the night vision. I did not strap them to my face, instead, I held them there. But as I drew my weapon I let them go. I told my assistant to grab the night vision down by my knees somewhere. The only way we could see this freight train coming at us was because it had crashed through the tents. One of the tents got hung up on it and it was being carried around with it as it charged. It charged maybe 25 to 30 yards before it made a hard left and straight into the tree line. It must have snared the hijacked tent and the tent was now hung up in a tree about eight feet off the ground.

It didn't go far into the woods. The crashing and snapping lasted about three seconds and stopped. It was still close. it started growling again and the volume would go up and down and up and down. The panic was hitting us all hard. I was starting to worry about one of my guys discharging his weapon and shooting one of us accidentally. I called up her names and where their positions were in relation to mine. It was so dark and was so confusing. I wanted all of us elbow to elbow and accounted for, with weapons pointed in a safe direction and not at the back of my head.

This creature started making a different noise now, like a chattering Chinese type language followed by an occasional 'whoop,' then a 20-second growl back to the weird chattering. It was so odd, terrifying, and unreal all at the same time. I was trying to keep myself together. I wanted to gain accountability and control and make sure I was making good decisions even with a monster 50 yards to my three o'clock. I was still worried about the consequences brought forth by my command or making a bad decision.

We heard a loud crack followed by a second or third crack and then the unmistakable sound of a tree falling. It had dropped a huge tree with ease. It crashed down with a thud into the camp area about 50 yards from us. I asked for the radio so I could inform the command of the situation. So one of my Marines was fumbling around trying to locate the radio. My eyes were glued to the area from where the tree had fallen. I couldn't even blink. I was absolutely terrified. Again, I asked for the radio. We had two weapons on the thing at three o'clock. My assistant was scanning with the night vision and the fourth Marine was now trying to reach someone on the radio. The last radio check was at 2200 hours and we were doing four-hour calm checks. He managed to get someone on the radio but the signal was garbled. He kept repeating that there was something attacking us and we need help. They asked to speak with the TL. Actually me.

I stuck out my left hand grabbed the radio, and informed command we had unknown hostiles probing our observation post. I didn't know what to say. They asked about numbers and weapons and visual identification. I told them unknown but we need the rapid response team and an emergency Evac immediately. Just then a scream comes from our six o'clock. It was a similar scream to the first but this one was closer we had abandoned situation awareness and forgot about covering the six o'clock. We couldn't see the second one nor can we hear anything other than the initial scream. The one on our three o'clock started moving as it rounded our position making its way to six o'clock from where the second scream came from. I turned on my Mag light that was attached to the barrel of my shotgun and followed this thing as it ran on all fours like a chimpanzee. It moved with such speed and agility and just plowed everything in its way to the ground.

For the first time, I saw it. It looked brownish red and it was immense. It had huge thick legs and massive shoulders. You could hear the impacts on the ground every time it advanced. The speed was incomprehensible. It got from point A to point B in less than 10 seconds. It was now 50 yards toward six o'clock behind a group of large fir trees. We could hear its breathing with massive lungs and a massive chest.

"Can we shoot Sergeant?" one of my Marines asked. I said, "No! Hold your fire Lieutenant!" Command wanted me on the radio but I couldn't move. It began chattering again. I raised my shotgun with the Mag light still on and made eye contact with this monster peering up from behind the fur tree. It snarled at me and began growling. Its hair had twigs and leaves in it. It had patches of bare skin like it had mange. It had no neck and huge black eyes. The jaw muscles on each side of its face were huge. It was the biggest thing I'd ever seen as it started growling. A different growl joined in. I raised the gun higher and followed the center for a tree up towards the top and there it was the second one. It had climbed this fur tree and it was about 75 feet in the air. It managed to get behind us and climb a tree without a sound.

All military discipline had gone out the window. We all had flashlights turned on and we were yelling at each other and at these beings. One of my Marines was yelling, "Get out of here!" Another kept saying, "WTF! WTF!" I ordered everyone to gather their gear and get on their backpacks and we backed up into the main campsite area trying to put a little more distance between us and these things. I ordered to gather as much wood as possible. There was a lot laying around from the fallen tree. The tree this creature fell was dead and broken into hundreds of pieces, they were strewn about, I started a campfire which was probably a terrible idea given the fire conditions that summer and it's the last thing Marines would do on a real-life nighttime operation, but this was no ordinary mission. It was just so dark and I was hoping the extra light and the sight of a fire would sway these things from advancing any further. I truly feel they're engaging us, looking for a weakness or an opening.

The large one stayed put as the second one would pace out to its left and right. Its head kept jerking around like it was viewing us from multiple angles. It was terrifying how it jerked its head around never taking its eyes off of us. It came down from the tree in less than two seconds. It was faster than a chipmunk and a hundred times the size.

At this time help was about two hours away they were going to meet us about a mile north on an old forestry road that we found on the map. When they were one hour out that's when we would make our move and head north to meet up with my unit. It was fairly even terrain and had no major obstacles. Back-and-forth communication with my unit command only created more confusion for everyone not involved. If I were them I'd be thinking the same thing, these guys are crazy.

We made our move out of the campsite. We heard them follow. We left the fire going. I remember thinking to myself I hope I didn't start a forest fire. But the lingering fire gave us the courage to venture into the dark woods. My assistant was an ace at land navigation and I took up the rear with the night vision now properly strapped to my face. I thought about a warning shot or two but even that would exact a severe penalty for discharging live rounds in a national forest without a legitimate reason. Even though we had a reason it would have landed me in the NJP. I had weapons, but I might as well have been unarmed. Using them would have gotten us in trouble and would have only angered these beings because anything short of a .50 caliber round would only piss these things off. They were that big.

They didn't harass us much on our track out. I figured it would have been a prime opportunity for them to make a move but they kept their distance. But we were still close enough that the pungent smell of rotting trash still hung in the air and at one point one of them advanced out in front to our left flank and held its position as we passed.

We eventually met up with the response team. My platoon Sergeant was angry and full of questions. But as these beings made their presence known he relented. In a way, I was glad these things followed us because I highly doubt they would have believed us. Who would? They arrived in two SUVs and an eight-passenger van as these things screamed and broke limbs. My platoon Sergeant acted unusually calm and accounted for everyone and all their equipment and weapons. He would occasionally look in their direction but made no inquiries about what these things were. He was a very calm and cool combat veteran and wanted to get good accountability for personnel and equipment. Ask questions later.

The response team members set up a perimeter and I could hear them asking amongst themselves what the hell are we looking at? Even during a Bigfoot encounter, we were professionals and it was done by the book. Several Marines kept their weapons out, the ready round in the chamber. But I had unloaded and made safe mine along with the rest of my team. I made sure all my guys go to the van before I entered. The platoon Sergeant rounded out the response team and they began to load up into the SUVs. I finally heard the platoon Sergeant ask another sergeant, "WTF is going on?" We drove out into one of the blackest darkest nights I've ever seen.

All of a sudden a huge rock smashed through the front windshield of the lead SUV. The driver cut the wheel hard left and they ended up rolling over down a small hill. The vehicle ended up on its side again. Every Marine present exited the vehicles and set up a defensive perimeter around the downed SUV. One Marine received a broken collarbone and a minor concussion. Now things got REAL!

At this point, the Sheriff and Forestry departments were en route to our location. National Guard Blackhawks were on standby for the entire month of operations and they dispatched one chopper to provide aerial security. We were to remain in place, maintain 100 security and wait for daylight. By 7 AM the cavalry had arrived and we were finally on our way out of the forest.

I'd never talked about this incident, even amongst ourselves. The terrified look on some of these guys' faces is still burned into my memory. The sounds and smells I experienced that night along with the terrifying looks of these beings will be with me until the day I die."

Real 'JACKALOPE' Reported by U.S. Military Vet in Eastern Anatolia, Turkey

A U.S. military veteran claims that he observed a flesh & blood 'Jackalope' in his headlights while driving on a mountain road in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey in the Malatya Province.

A retired U.S. military veteran reached out to Legend of America with this encounter in May 2022:

"Greetings. Well, the Jackalope phenomenon isn't mythical, and it's not extinct either. I wish I had a camera, but I am in Malatya, Turkey at the moment. I was driving down a treacherous mountain road 3 nights ago. I was going only about 30 KPH when something came down the hill into the road. I thought at first it was a rock so I slammed on the brakes, but then it hit my headlights.

I had NEVER heard of these before, the most fascinating creature I had ever seen. So naturally, I was quite curious about what kind of animal this was. It was probably 3 feet tall at the back, it ran like a dog but looked like a rabbit, but it had a miniature antler rack on its head that would make the biggest and most majestic buck deer jealous.

I got home and decided to look this thing up on the internet. I was wondering if they were strictly found in this region of the world, only to be met by an onslaught of “it’s fake” “legends” “Myths” and “cryptozoological” (scientific terminology for “fake”), and ONE collaboration site–sort of. This site claimed that all horns grown on a rabbit are cancerous and not calcium. They say that it is tumorous material instead. Whilst this site is correct about cancer-causing tumors, the tumors are ALWAYS misshapen, saggy, and pathetic looking. What I saw were DEFINITELY regal-looking calcified antlers.

So, I guess that I am officially one of the “nut-cases” and “embellished storytellers,” but I KNOW what I saw. I saw it clearly, nothing in my way, not a foggy night. It was very clear, and very well lit up by my headlights." RR

MEN IN BLACK Posing As IRS Agents...& Asking About Me!

A Missouri woman had an experience 27 years ago that still leaves her baffled. She observed MIB that seemed to be following her. Later, she finds out from a friend that these same men posed as IRS agents.

I received the following account and inquiry:

"Hello, sir. I have tried to find answers to my experience. Maybe you can help me. It was July 10, 1996, at around 11 AM. I drove to Warsaw, Missouri to check the mailbox at the post office in downtown Warsaw. As I was heading west, in front of Newman`s grocery store I passed a black car heading east with two men in it.

The men were dressed in black suits and black glasses and riding in an older model black car. I thought right away, MEN IN BLACK? I thought that was an odd event. I picked up the mail and headed back to the office south of Warsaw.

An hour later, I needed to run out to Warsaw High School for some paperwork. As I headed on the highway south towards the high school, I just happened to look left down Highway MM and there sat the same black car facing north towards our office. I thought how odd!

Later that day, I finished work and headed home to Sedalia, Missouri.

When I arrived at my apartment, around 6:30 PM, I looked out my second-floor apartment sliding door and saw the same black car backed into the apartment complex parking lot! I thought 'WTH?'

About an hour later, the car was gone. I went over to see my mom, who lived next door. While I was over there, I also went to see an older lady friend who lived next to my mom. My friend told me that some IRS men had asked her some questions about me. Now, I knew why they had been there.

The bizarre thing is that I never heard anything from the IRS, and I never saw a UFO or what I thought was an extraterrestrial being. Who were these guys and what did they really want? It's been 27 years since that day and I still have no clue what it was about! Do you or your readers have any thoughts? J

UFOs & ALIENS Encountered on Wagga Wagga, Australia Farm

An Australian man recalls his UFO & alien experience as a teen living on his parent's farm near Wagga Wagga, NSW. He had multiple encounters. The area is known for otherworldly activity.

I received the following account:

“I have a story I would like to share with you that happened to me when I was younger. I was 17 years old when this happened. I lived with my parents on a farm outside the Australian town of Wagga Wagga.

I was in bed and a strange feeling I can't fully explain woke me up. The time was around midnight roughly. I felt a great sense of unease as I looked toward my bedroom window into the darkness of night. Not long after a bright light that looked like it came down from the sky appeared. At first, I thought it was a car passing by as we live next to the road, but I quickly excused that possibility as the light hung around. This is where things start to get a little unbelievable.

I began hearing footsteps outside on the gravel, and I was shocked that our dogs didn't pick up on this and start barking. The footsteps came from the paddock next door and walked down our driveway and up the veranda steps out the back. I could hear whoever this was walking around outside our home, shifting things as it bumped into them. I then heard second footsteps in the gravel outside my room. Soon after the first being appeared outside my window, and the second then jumped up over the veranda railing and stood next to the first. Their forms blocked the light shining in and I could make them out to be somewhat tall and incredibly thin. The two creatures hung around for about 30 minutes pacing back and forth around the house before they finally left, and I heard the footsteps get softer, jump the fence, and then the mysterious light lifted off into the sky. I had just gone to bed so I know it wasn't my subconscious playing tricks on me, I was still well enough awake.

The next night, another strange occurrence happened. I remember it being eerily silent. So quiet in fact that it made me increasingly paranoid as the night went on. I don't recall what time this happened but I remember the only sound I could hear that night was a strange sort of deep rumbling passing overhead. It would circle over the house, and to the far back paddock and continued to do so for an hour before the rumbling moved overhead for the last time out the back and vanished.

A few years later, I finished school. Before moving into my own place, I had to get up very early in the mornings to drive to work. I woke up at 3am as usual, packed my bag, ate breakfast, etc. I was driving to work when I noticed a bright light in the sky. The light fell behind some of the hills to my right and when I looked ahead I swear I saw a figure of a man running across the road in the darkness. I saw it roughly 5 meters away from me as it moved off the road it appeared to just vanish as if it went translucent.

If that wasn't enough, I was at the bar with my sister working as a bartender, and one of the locals walked in we were casually just talking and I told him what I saw and he mentioned to me that a few nights after my encounter, he started getting strange occurrences, waking up after midnight too his dogs barking. He finally went to investigate the strange bright lights in the next-door paddock but his dogs wouldn't follow. He walked to the paddock where he claimed to have seen these lights hovering above the ground. When he got there the lights shot off into the sky and all was left was a ring of mutilated livestock forming a perfect circle. He was confused and ran back home and never spoke of what he saw until I mentioned it to him.

After these events, I never doubted stories told to me by friends and people I met who claimed to have seen UFOs and aliens and I have never since questioned the existence of extraterrestrials. Anyway, that's my story, I know what I saw those nights. I don't normally talk about it because people aren't very open to the concept of aliens and UFOs. NOTE: the area in and around Wagga Wagga, NSW has a history of UFOs and other strange events (including 'raining spiders). I found the following report from 1998:

JANUARY 5, 1998 – WAGGA WAGGA, NSW, AUSTRALIA

The witness was driving her husband, who finished work at midnight, and her baby daughter from their home in Wagga Wagga to her parent’s home at Jamberoo, near Kiama, for the weekend. Shortly after leaving Wagga on the Hume Highway with her husband and baby asleep, a large brightly luminous disc shape UFO appeared in the sky ahead of her at an estimated 300-400 metres distance.

The object stayed in this position while she drove approx. 120 km., disappearing as she went through towns, and appearing again on the other side of the town. It mostly stayed relatively still but occasionally shot off at great speed to the left or right only to return seconds later to the same position. The object disappeared just north of Goulburn as the dawn was lightening the sky. It rapidly gained altitude until out of sight in seconds. There was no interference with the normal operation of the car, according to the witness, and the amount of traffic she remembers was normal for that time of the morning.

Supposedly after having great difficulty waking her husband at one point, he glanced at the object, mumbled “Yeah yeah” and was immediately asleep again. Normally on this trip, she would stop at Yass for an hour’s break for coffee and arrive at Jamberoo at about 7- 7.30am. This time, on arrival she was genuinely surprised to find the trip had taken 1.5 to 2 hours longer than normal, even without the break at Yass.

No subsequent sickness or body markings were noticed and as the witness suspected no abduction at that time no further investigation was undertaken until reported to Paradox in 1997.

REPORT STATUS:

Celestial records show no planet, star, or even moon, which could have explained the sighting. The lack of reaction from other traffic could indicate the phenomenon was a purely subjective one, however, until further evidence is forthcoming the case will remain as UNEXPLAINED.
