THE BOSAK CRYPTID INCIDENT: Terrestrial, Cryptoterrestrial or Alternative Being?

The Bosak encounter may be the only case where some Bigfoot researchers and cryptozoologists will take into consideration an alien / Bigfoot connection. There used to be a time when mentioning the possibility of a connection was blasphemy, and for many of the 'flesh & blood' Bigfoot researchers, it still is beyond discussion.

Nevertheless, please read the Bosak incident information and decide for yourself. I have offered a few versions of the story and have followed with a few reflections of my own:

"On December 2, 1974, at 10:30 p.m., dairy farmer William Bosak, aged 68, owner of a dairy farm for 40 years close to the rural city of Frederic, in the north-western part of Polk County, Wisconsin, USA, had attended the meeting of the Fanner co-operative in Frederic and was driving back by car to his rural house of the south-east of Frederic, when, at approximately a mile of his farm, he spotted an object on the left side of the road, in front of him.

He was driving slowly because of the packs of fog. The headlights of the car reflected on the object, and he slowed down while approaching.

The object was motionless and seemed to be between 8 and 10 feet in height. It was not luminous but reflected the headlights and had a transparent sector resembling glass in the shape of a shell, or bell, or conical with a peak, on the top of the machine, which was lighted and in which Bosak saw an occupant of which the top of the body was visible and who had his arms raised above his head.

Although Bosak spoke about a man, the character or the creature who had a head and two arms showed characteristics that were not very human: stiff hair or hairs came out of the sides of its head whose face itself was hairless, and a beardless chin. Its eyes were large and protruding, and its ears were described as pointing 8 centimeters and resembling those of a young calf.

It seemed to be dressed in something tight-fitting covered with brown fur, or to be covered with brown hairs on the higher part of the body including the arms. No collar or features were visible on the possible suit. The bottom of the character was lost from sight in the fog; which dissimulated it and dissimulated the bottom of the craft as well.

Bosak was very frightened but saw that the face of the creature also showed signs of fear. He had slowed down almost to a halt when he had arrived at the object, but overcome with fear, he accelerated to drive away from the object. When he did that, the inside of his car became darker as if the headlights had weakened, and he heard a noise of friction like that of branches of a tree sweeping the car.

Back home, they tried to look at the sector where the encounter had occurred from the advantageous point of view of his house, but he could not see anything because of the fog.

The next morning, he returned to the location in search of any landing traces or evidence of the presence of an object, but he found nothing, except that according to one version of the story, there was a flattened circular area in the field.

Bosak did not tell what he had seen to anybody for almost a month, not even to his wife and son, but finally decided to reveal the incident, apparently by contacting a newspaper that published the story.

Two APRO investigators met him and it was said that Bosak was sincere and a man with a good reputation in his community. Understanding of the skepticism of the newspaper and neighbors, Bosak commented that he would welcome a lie detector test to prove he was not lying. The story then entered the ufological and Fortean literature as an example of "bigfoot piloting a flying saucer" while Bosak seems to have thought that it was some space creature. - ufologie.patrickgross.org/

APRO indicates that farmer William Bosak, aged 68, of the rural town of Frederic, in the northwest section of Polk County, Wisconsin, had attended a Fanner's Co-op meeting in Frederic and was driving to his rural home southeast of Frederic at 10:30 p.m. on December 2, 1974, when, about one mile from his farm, he spotted an object on the left side of the road ahead of him.

He had been driving slowly because of patches of fog and his headlights reflected off the object so he slowed as he approached it.

The object was standing still and appeared to be between 8 and 10 feet in height. It was not lighted but reflected light from the headlights of Mr. Bosak's car. It had a transparent glass-like area bullet-shaped at the top, or tapered to a peak, through which Bosak could view the occupant. APRO quotes Mr. Bosak telling journalists:

"It had a curved front of glass and inside I could see a figure with its arms raised above its head."

He was later interviewed by Field Investigator Everett E. Lightner who said that the newspaper account that appeared in the St. Paul Pioneer-Press was basically accurate except that the ears on the "human" he saw inside were placed higher on the head.

The "human," as Bosak referred to it, had hair sticking out from the sides of its head with ears protruding out about three inches and they were shaped like a calf's ear. It had no collar or shirt with seam in front but appeared to be clothed in something tannish-brown in color and skin-tight like a diver's suit. Both arms were extended above its head and hair stuck out from the outside of the arms. He had no beard, but there was hair or fur on the upper part of the body. The rest of it, from the waist down, was not visible because of the fog. Its eyes were very large and protruding.

Bosak said he was very frightened at the time but the look on the face of the occupant of the craft indicated that he was frightened too.

He had slowed nearly to a stop when he came up to the object, but then fear took over and he hit on the accelerator and left the object behind. He said that when he did so, the inside of his car became dark and he heard a swishing sound like branches of a tree brushing against the car.

Back home, he attempted to view the area where the incident had occurred from the vantage point of his house, but he could see nothing because of the fog. He later told journalists:

"I was so goldarned scared I was afraid to go out at night for a few days."

He added that he wished that he had had somebody with him in the car at the time.

The next morning, Mr. Bosak returned to the location to search for any landing marks or evidence of the object's presence, but he found nothing.

Bosak said nothing to anyone about his encounter for nearly a month, not even telling his wife and son but finally decided to divulge the incident.

After reflecting on the experience for a few weeks, Bosak said that he felt he did the wrong thing by speeding away from the object and "should have stopped and tried to show it I was friendly. I wish I could meet up with it again."

Everett E. Lightner, who investigated the case, said he found Bosak to be sincere and a man with a good reputation in his community. He had operated a 450-acre dairy farm east of Frederic for the past 40 years and said that before his frightening experience, he had been skeptical of UFO stories. He stated:

"And I'm sure a lot of people are going to be skeptical after hearing what happened to me. But if people don't believe me, I'll take a lie detector test to prove this isn't just something I made up." - APRO

At about 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 1974, near Frederic in Polk County, William Bosak, a 69-year-old dairy farmer, was driving home when he saw a disc-shaped craft beside the road. "I can remember it just as if it were yesterday," Bosak told me.

The lower half of the craft was shrouded in mist. It had a curved glass window, and inside the brightly lit compartment, Bosak saw a creature covered with dark tan fur, except for its face and chin.

"He was looking out the window, and it was a different kind of character than you'd see on this earth," he said. "It looked a good deal like a man, but it had a different-looking face than you'd see. It had a kind of a cow-looking face."

Asked to elaborate, Bosak explained that the face had hair on its sides. The ears stuck out from the head about three inches, and the eyes were large and protruding.

The creature held its arms above its head, and its expression led Bosak to believe that it was "just as scared as I was." After about 10 seconds Bosak quickly drove away, and as he did so his car lights dimmed, the engine sounded as if it were missing, and he heard a soft "whooshing" noise.

The next day Bosak returned to the area and found a round spot, 6 feet in diameter, pressed down into the hayfield.

"There are other people that had seen something like that," said Bosak, "right in this area."

This is the best, and one of the least sensational, of the very rare sightings linking Bigfoot-like creatures with UFOs. It is also the least publicized.

"You know how the neighbors are," Bosak said. "They questioned it. The editor in town didn't believe it. You know, though, something? If you've ever thought of outer space - it's just fantastic, isn't it? A lot of people can imagine such things."

NOTE: There are several versions of the same story available. Even though this is a very unusual case, it has only one witness and lacks corroboration from others. As well, there is no physical evidence. Several researchers and cryptozoologists recognize the case as a bigfoot sighting despite the craft connection. On December 2, 1996, exactly 22 years to the day of his encounter, William Bosak was found dead in his home.

A reader forwarded the following email a few years ago...before I started to post my theories on the subject. I decided to report to get other reactions and comments:

"Hi Lon. I read your site daily and have enjoyed the personal stories by your readers. I had an experience when I was a boy that I hope would be of interest.

In September 1978, I lived with my father on a farm in the vicinity of Shawano, Wisconsin which is very near the Menominee Indian Reservation. There had been some buzz within the community of an unknown large hairy creature spotted by two deer hunters not far from our farm. I had heard stories of the Manabai'wok or 'The Giants' from stories told by the Menominee, but I just considered these tales to be legends.

Then one evening, my father and I were coming home from the store and noticed what appeared to be two hairy creatures collecting squash from the garden. Each creature was at least 6 foot tall. It was dusk but there was enough light to clearly see what they were doing. My father immediately cut the headlights and stopped the car as we just sat there and watched them pick and eat the squash. They didn't seem to even notice us even though we were about 100 feet from them.

After about 5 minutes, one of the creatures looked in our direction and you could see it's eyes glow red from the moonlight. We started to get scared and decided to make a dash for the house and call the police. Then suddenly, a huge disc-shaped objects appeared above us and slowly moved towards the east field which was about 200 hundred yards from us and landed. I estimate the craft was about 40 feet in diameter. A large sliding door opened immediately and a foggy green light glowed from within the craft. After a few seconds, the door closed and craft slowly rose and shot off towards the north. Then we noticed that the creatures were gone.

A few days later, our neighbors from down the road came over for dinner. After we finished eating, my father and Mr. Cain walked outside. After an hour or so, the neighbors left and I started to clean up the kitchen. Later that evening, I was watching TV in the living room. My father walked in, turned off the TV and sat down beside me. He told me that Mr. Cain and his sister witnessed one of the craft on the same night that we had our encounter. As well, they witnessed several of the large hairy creatures meandering in the nearby woods. Mr. Cain said that he knew something had been in the woods for several weeks but never got a good look until the craft arrived. After that night, we never had another encounter or did we hear of more sightings by any people in the area.

Do you think that these creatures were Bigfoot, aliens or one in the same? I has always seemed strange to me that a Bigfoot body has never been found. Native & Indigenous Peoples' HAIRY HOMINID Traditions

Here are a few accounts referencing cryptid hominids from the Native Peoples' point of view:

Apache Tribe Reveals Encounters With Bigfoot

"Footprints in the mud. Tufts of hair on a fence. Ear-piercing screeches in the night. These are only fragments of the stories now coming from the White Mountains in Eastern Arizona.

For years the White Mountain Apache Nation has kept the secret within tribal boundaries. “We’re not prone to easily talk to outsiders,” said spokeswoman Collette Altaha. “But there have been more sightings than ever before. It cannot be ignored any longer.”

It is a creature the world knows as “Bigfoot”.

“No one’s had a negative encounter with it,” said Marjorie Grimes, who lives in Whitewater, the primary town on the reservation. Grimes is one of many who claim to have seen the creature over the last 25 years. Her first sighting was in 1982. Her most recent was in the summer of 2004, driving home from the town of Cibecue. She becomes more animated as the memory comes forth. “It was all black and it was tall! The way it walked; it was taking big strides. I put on the brakes and raced back and looked between the two trees where it was, and it was gone!”

Grimes’ son Francis has a story. Their neighbor Cecil Hendricks has a story. Even police officers have had strange encounters. Officer Katherine Montoya has seen it twice. On a recent night, dozens of people called into the tribe’s radio station to talk about what they’d seen. Others came in person."

Oh-Mah - The 'Boss of the Woods'

I received the following email on November 5th, 2008:

"My question to you is 'have I seen something unusual?'

In August of 2006, I was working in Northern California and was interested in finding bigfoot prints. I have a friend who is a member of the Hoopa First Nation. I contacted him and then spoke to an elder. I was taken to an area where some footprints had just been found. Being skeptical, I took my right boot off and stepped down next to the foot print. I am 7' 1" tall and weigh 395 pounds and wear a size 17 street shoe or a size 19 boot (as boot sizes are often mislabelled). I am of Scot and Lakota Sioux lineage and speak a number of First Nation languages.

After putting on my boots, we heard a screaming howl. My friends started saying Oh-mah was coming and we had to leave. My friend Dave told his elder about what I had done and we went back to the site three hours later. There were numerous large footprints surrounding mine and what I believe to be a large finger hole in the middle of my footprint.

I was contacted a couple of weeks later and invited back to the reservation as they normally lose a good portion of their apple crop to Oh-mah but in 2006 they didn't lose anything. They wanted to know if I could come back every year and walk around barefoot to intimidate Oh-mah and if I have any big friends my size.

Oh-mah either saw me with the much shorter native indians and thought I was another Oh-mah or recognized the footprint as a threat. The elder thought Oh-mah didn't want a confrontation with something almost as big as he and left the area.

The Oh-mah footprint was the same length as mine but an inch and half wider at the ball and 3/4 of an inch wider at the heel. The depth of the print was the same.

I have spoken with some so-called experts from the BFRO and from the Bigfoot Discovery Project and got laughed at but then they wanted me to come with them and speak to the bigfoot via bull horn in either native language. I rather not be used by someone who is too narrow minded for me to speak to the kononpaiochis (literally the people of the north who don't comb their hair -- bigfoot).

Note: I have been told that the native tribes in this area (Hupa and Yurok) both use the name 'Omah' or 'Oh-mah' translated as 'boss of the woods'.

Giant Cannibalistic Man

"The Algonquin on the western shores of Lake Champlain told of seeing the windigo or "giant cannibalistic man" who, according to legend, roamed the countryside. One modern-day Native American account of the windigo describes it as "a giant thing, swift"¦ and covered with hair, and has eyes like two pools of blood. And there's this smell, like rotting meat." This description is similar to Bigfoot reports today.

The Iroquois have a similar oral history of flesh-eating stone giants who possessed powerful physiques.

Across the border in Quebec, the Algonquin-speaking Attikamekw called these creatures Kokotshe.

In his ship's log chronicling his voyage of discovery on the St. Lawrence River 1604, Champlain wrote how numerous Indian tribes in the region had told eerie stories of a giant, hairy man-beast that was known to the natives as "the Gougou." Champlain wrote that so many of the tribes recounted such stories that he believed there must be some truth to the tales.

"And what makes me believe what they say, is the fact that all the savages in general fear it, and tell such strange stories of it."

In northern Vermont, Abenaki traditions tell of a huge, hairy, man-like creature known as the Forest Wanderer who would leave giant, human-like footprints behind. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, many early Vermont settlers in Essex and Orleans counties told of encountering a mysterious bear that moved swiftly through the woods on two legs, always managing to elude capture.

In the forests of Northern Wisconsin, Michigan and East Central Canada, between about 42 to 48 degrees of latitude, there have been a resurgence of reports of a large, bipedal carnivore, within the past several years. There is a notable resemblance in the descriptions to a being in the lore of native tribes: the Windigo, a tall, ferocious creature with a wolf-like head on the body of a man or bear. It also fits the descriptions from European legends of the werewolf.

The cryptic creature is reported to have unique characteristics that differ from the appearance of a Sasquatch or Bigfoot. Generally smaller and less stocky than a Sasquatch, it is said to be closer to the height of an average man, and the arms and legs are similar in proportion to the human. The hands or fore-paws are said to have long curving, sharp claws. The feet, judged by footprints, are said to be elongated somewhat like the human, but the toes are shorter and configured more like a canine. But the most striking feature, according to the accounts, is the elongated muzzle with large protruding canines and pointed incisors.

Accounts of sightings of the creature are often in conjunction with a fresh kill, usually a deer. Its demeanor is hostile and aggressive, according to reports. The non-human expression is said to be malevolent, and the glaring eyes and snarling grimace are said to provoke a deep sense of dread."

Chickasaw People and the Lofa

"One day a number of men went hunting and camped a considerable distance from home. Afterward they scattered to see what they could find but remained within call of one another, having made an agreement that if anything happened to one of them he should shout for help. But one of them ventured farther than he was aware and got a long distance off. Presently he got tired and sat down to rest, but while he was there a lofa (means “skinner.” The being was thought to have long hair like an animal) came up and said: “What are you doing here? You are intruding upon my land and had better get up and return to your own place.”

But the Indian believed himself to be strong enough for any situation, so he sat still without speaking.

Presently the lofa ordered him off again and added, “If you do not get up and go away I will tie you up and carry you to my place.”

“You may do so if you can,” the man replied, and upon this the lofa seized him.

At first it seemed as if the man were the stronger of the two and he was able to throw the lofa down, but the latter smelled so bad that it was too much for his antagonist, and the lofa overcame him, hung him up in a tree and went away.

The man hung there all night, and when he did not make his appearance at camp the other hunters began a search for him and, when they found him, cut the grapevine by which he was fastened so that he fell to the ground. They asked him what had treated him in this manner but he would not speak and they thought he might have seen a ghost or something of that sort.

Some time later, however, he came to himself and related what had happened. Afterward, thought he was very fond of hunting and knew that he would be successful, he would not venture out unless someone were with him."

Beware The Kushtaka

"It all starts on a winter night in Juneau, Alaska. About 4 years back while I was a senior in high school, a few friends of mine were over at my house, a neighborhood on the side of a mountain surrounded by a forest. We were bored with our video games and TV, so we all decide to walk a trail in the woods. This is about 3am and we weren't worried about running into bears because it was their hibernation time. So we gear up for the zero degree weather and leave for a trail up the mountain that I had played at as a kid, running through the woods and building forts. So of course growing up in it, knowing it like my own home I wasn't too worried. We had crossed a bridge onto the trail and walked about a half mile when my friend stops and says he heard something up ahead. I say that it's most likely a deer or something, having seen much of Alaska's wildlife in these woods. So we keep walking and by this point he's a little nervous glancing around a lot. My third friend started to say it was probably the Kushtaka, a local legend of a creature that shape-shifts into something that lures you to your death. He freaks out even more and I tell him I've spent half my life in these woods and haven't seen one thing that was remotely strange.

About 5 minutes later we heard snow crunch under a huge pine tree about 10 yards in front of us. We stopped dead in our tracks, looking up the path towards the tree. I shine the flashlight in that direction and we catch a flash of something move behind the tree, almost like a bike reflector or something. We start walking slowly away from the tree, back down the trail, not looking away from the tree. Then we see a hand from behind the tree touch the ground and I stop dead, frozen with fear, not looking away with my flashlight directly on it. It took a few seconds for my friends to realize what I was looking at. Then they saw it too. My friend who had been scared this whole time goes nuts and starts putting together words that made no sense. Whatever was behind the trees leaned out to look at us. It's eyes reflected like a dog's from the beam of my flashlight, making its face blurry from the glare. Instantly we all run, not daring to stop.

No movement was heard until we had reached the bridge, when one of my friends fell on the ice. That's when I heard it bounding up the path towards us. I shine my light and there it is running towards us on all fours half screaming, half howling. It looks almost like a human but seemed to be a lot taller and skinnier, very pale in the moonlight and against the snow. It was completely naked. So I run and jump off the low bridge onto the frozen creek and yell for them to follow me. We run down the side of the creek towards my neighborhood. I have never run so fast and so far, but I kept on for fear of what I saw. During the entire run I could hear whatever it was running through the woods directly to the right of us, all the way until we got to the street light by a children's park.

To this day my friend and I still bring up crazy theories of what we had seen. My other friend, the one who had been so terrified, had never brought it up again. JB"

Other Stories

Bigfoot sighting stories are no surprise to the Native American tribes living in the Sierra. To them Bigfoot was just like the bear, mountain lions, wolves and coyotes. Ron Goode of the North Fork band of Mono Indians states, "We have an understanding that Bigfoot was here, is here. That he once he existed. The Mono's have two names for him. One that was in the mountains, Kooseekoosnow, and then one for the foothills is Kakownow, Kakownah." Goode says he hasn't seen a Bigfoot, but thinks he smelled one. "It had kind of followed me along and really scared the heck out of me because I was running for a little bit and I could smell this thing and it smelled terrible."

I once received a telephone call from a woman in British Columbia who said she was the daughter of a Kootenai shaman. She stated that most Native tribes seem to believe Sasquatch is a non-physical creature. Some tribal elders mention that they have seen the creature shapeshift into a wolf. She said her father thought that the creatures lived in another dimension from our physical plane, but can come here as it wishes. He also believed that Sasquatch has great psychic abilities and that the creature can be visible to some people, while at the same time remain invisible to others in the same group.

American Civil War: HAIRY 'MAN-BEAST' Raids Union Garrison at Harpers Ferry

How much do we know about early encounters with Bigfoot / Sasquatch? The native people of North America had hairy people legends and many of those traditional tales remain today. When European explorers and hunters arrived on the continent, there were a few accounts of upright hairy beast encounters. The Arkansas Wild Man is one of the best-known early Bigfoot sightings. Below is the original newspaper text:

Wild Man of the Woods

"During March last, Mr. Hamilton of Greene County, Arkansas, while out hunting with an acquaintance, observed a drove of cattle in a state of apparent alarm, evidently pursued by some dreaded enemy.

Halting for the purpose, they soon discovered as the animals fled by them, that they were followed by an animal bearing the unmistakable likeness of humanity.

He was of gigantic stature, the body being covered with hair and the head with long locks of hair that fairly enveloped his neck and shoulders.

The "wildman," for we must so call him, after looking at them deliberately for a short time, turned and ran away with great speed, leaping from twelve to fourteen feet at a time. His foot prints measured thirteen inches each.

This singular creature has long been known traditionally in St. Francis Green and Poinsett Counties.

Arkansas sportsmen and hunters having described him so long as seventeen years hence.

A planter, indeed, saw him very recently, but withheld his information lest he should not be credited, until the account of Mr. Hamilton and his friend placed the existence of the animal beyond cavil." - Memphis Enquirer, May 9th, 1851

I wonder, did Bigfoot ever make itself known during the American Civil War? Well, there may be, at least, one account available:

In 1999 a collection of autographs and old letters was appraised and authenticated for an estate sale in Hartford, CT. The large horde included several letters written by Union soldiers during the American Civil War. A few of the letters were written by Private James Moore of the Pennsylvania 67th Infantry Regiment, Company K. The letters were addressed to his wife, Ida Moore of Philadelphia, PA.

One particular letter described an incident while Pvt. Moore was on guard duty in Harpers Ferry (then part of Virginia). The letter was written on February 26, 1963. Some of the text had been copied and forwarded to me by the appraiser because of the unusual content. (The auction catalog did contain the full text, but it was lost in a fire at his home in 2005). Here is what I received:

...Ramsey and myself were charged to guard Company accoutrements along the railway. Very cold still night...

...the boys started raising a ruckus from the garrison. Some were yelling aloud, that a man-beast was on foot. There was rifle fire towards the river. We continued our duty as the yelling and shots continued...

...the Corporal queried the witnesses from the Company. I was told that the devil raided the food stores after climbing the wall...

...it was covered in thick layers of dark hair...

...maybe 8 foot from head to toe.

That was all that was written, though I was told that some of the original letter sheets had been torn away. Was this a description of a Bigfoot? I wonder if other soldiers, on either side, had encountered hairy hominids...as well as other cryptids and strange beings? Sounds like it would be interesting research. Lon

DOORWAY IN THE DESERT: High Strangeness Experienced West of Las Vegas

Several years ago, I received an account from Steve Ririe who at the time, was the Chairman of the Silent Heroes of the Cold War National Memorial Committee, and had lived in Las Vegas, NV for over 50 years. He had worked in various capacities in the U.S. Government and was referred to me by investigative journalist George Knapp. I examined Steve's credentials and believed him to be quite credible.

by Steve Ririe - What you are about to read is a little weird. Correction - it’s a lot weird. But, for whatever reason, I felt it was interesting enough to write down. Keep in mind, that there are first-hand stories, second-hand stories, and so on. This is a third-hand story with as little poetic license as necessary. I am confident I have recorded the details with a high degree of accuracy. It may get confusing but here we go.

What I know of this story came from my close friend Doug. I have known Doug for many years. He is a successful businessman and I would never question his integrity. Several months ago Doug came by my office and while we visited he related the details of a conversation he had with one of his long-time customers. To be honest, Doug and I both don’t know what to make of this strange conversation with his customer. His story may just be the raving of a schizophrenic. Although the credibility of the person who shared their first-hand account with Doug would make a diagnosis of schizophrenia difficult to imagine, that would at least make sense. But it’s an interesting story nonetheless. After writing it down I emailed the story to Doug for verification. He confirmed I had written the account down as accurately as he felt possible. With that introduction, here is what Doug told me:

I have this customer who sat down with me at my office and posed a very strange question. He asked, “Do you believe in UFOs?” I have only known him for a short time but I do know he was in the US Marine Corps and he has enough accolades and credentials that I would not question his integrity. He comes across as extremely reputable which makes his story both intriguing and bizarre.

To protect his identity, and since I do not have his permission to relate this story, I will refer to him as John.

I told John that I, of course, do believe some things have been seen flying and at the same time been unidentifiable. What I don’t know is what they were – since, of course, they are by their very nature - unidentifiable. That is as logical of a statement as I could have made. John appeared to have accepted my answer. He took it as an affirmative – which is to say that I do in fact believe in UFOs. Crossing that bridge, the strange story began to unroll out of John’s mouth. The following is the story told by John to my friend Doug.

The story John shared revolved around an elderly friend who lived close to him. I will call his elderly friend Tom. One day Tom asked John if, in fact, he believed in UFOs. John answered in the affirmative. Tom proceeded. He said he had something he wanted to show John. But first, before sharing his story, he must take John to a site in Las Vegas.

Once the evening had settled in and the sun had long disappeared behind the Red Rock Mountains the two of them drove to the corner of Tropicana and Decatur Blvd., just a few miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. This site is well known by long-time Vegas residents who live on the west side of the city. The name it is known by is “the Pitts”. Due to its strange and varied dirt mounds, it is favored by dirt bike enthusiasts. And although it is not far from the famous Las Vegas Strip it remained undeveloped due to several reasons. The first would be the cost of leveling the ground and the second would be its location being part of a major wash heading into Las Vegas. The City of Las Vegas has contended for years with flash floods and washes are not the best sites to develop.

When they arrived at the Pitts they pulled off into the desert and walked to a spot where Tom indicated they should stop. Tom began surveying the area with what John assumed was a metal detector. After some searching, he found a spot where the detector came alive. He placed a rock at that point. Then he went off in another direction until the detector sounded again. Another rock was placed at the second point. Again he repeated his search for a spot in the dark that would complete an equilateral triangle. Sure enough, the detector sounded at the exact spot. He placed a third rock. All the time searching and setting up the triangle Tom kept checking his watch.

With all three corners of the triangle revealed, he began to feel his way to the true center of the triangle. Judging his position relative to the three points of the triangle and feeling confident he was in position – he stepped aside and placed John dead center in the triangle. Tom stepped back staring at his watch and waited. “John,” he said. “In just a minute you will feel a pulse through your body. The points of the triangle are places where transmission pillars have been buried deep in the earth. In the center of these transmission pillars, where you now stand, is where the transmission waves will be generated. Where they are transmitting to I don’t know. But I do know these transmissions occur at regular intervals during the late night. And when they occur you can feel them. They are about to transmit any minute now.” They both remained quiet as they waited. Suddenly, just as Tom had described, John felt a sensation in the darkness.

John described a physical force like an electrical pulse rolling up his body from his toes to his head. It was as if a group of people were surrounding you with rolling pins and they were rolling them up your body from your toes to the top of your head. It didn’t last too long and just as suddenly as it started, it stopped. It was never made clear to John how Tom knew about these transmission events. He was only told that, for whatever reason, Tom had known about certain alien information for many years and was sworn to secrecy. With that experience under John’s belt, Tom felt confident that John was prepared for what Tom felt compelled to show him. The only reason Tom gave for showing John any of this was – “just in case”.

Next Tom took John on a drive outside of Las Vegas. They headed west on the Blue Diamond Hwy leading toward Pahrump, Nevada. The town of Blue Diamond is about 15 to 20 miles southwest of Las Vegas. At some point near Blue Diamond Tom drove off the highway and headed into the desert. Tom told him that what he was about to show him he needed to get off his chest. He had information about aliens among us and was sworn to secrecy. He had kept these secrets for as long as he could, which John assumed was many years. At Tom’s advanced age, he wanted someone else to know some of what he knew. The headlights bounced in front of their car illuminating the dirt road that led deeper into the desert. As cacti and sagebrush rushed passed them Tom confessed that by “spilling the beans” his life would be in danger. Regardless of the consequences for both of them, they drove on. Moments later they pulled up to a door in the middle of nowhere set into the side of a rocky bluff. This door, this location, this place, was what Tom wanted John to see. They only stayed a moment when Tom said, “We have to leave right now. They know we are here.”

As they drove away from the mysterious door suddenly lights appeared to them as headlights materialized virtually out of nowhere and began following them. Tom picked up speed. At several points, the lights tailed them no less than 3 feet off their back bumper. Jolts of anxiety, fear, and panic swept through both Tom and John. Without warning the lights went black. Tom craned his neck to look back. No lights or vehicles were visible – only darkness.

That was the last time John would see Tom. Days after this strange experience, John sought Tom out but was unable to find him. Tom’s home was empty and none of his neighbors knew where he went. None of them saw him leave. The neighbor across the street claimed to see men in white hazmat suits take all Tom’s belongings.

After several days, not being able to move past the strange events, John decided he would revisit the transmission site. Late one evening, while driving home from work, he made a detour to the Pitts. As he approached he anticipated pulling into the desert area where he and Tom had once parked. He discovered that he wouldn’t be able to pull off the road due to a dirt berm having been erected. He instead parked his truck on the shoulder of the road and got out. He made his way to the berm and climbed up. Instead of the dark vacant area he had visited days before, now before him was a lot of construction equipment and massive construction lights flooding the entire area. He climbed up the berm and, while resting on his stomach, looked over to see what all the commotion was about. No sooner had he begun looking when suddenly, as if on cue, flood lights all around the construction site turned and pointed their beams directly at his position. Not wanting to feel paranoid he quickly left the area and drove home. Later he learned the city had started construction on a flood retention basin and park at the site.

John still couldn’t shake the feelings left by this experience. Where was Tom? Considering what was going on at the transmission site, did any of it have to do with Tom? Eventually, he shared the experience with a couple of his friends. They, of course, were curious and wanted him to show them the door in the desert. After some coaxing, John agreed and they headed out. They took his friend's vehicle and John sat shotgun. At one point, as they were driving the dirt road, John began to feel nervous and admittedly scared. He considered telling his friend to take a wrong turn, acting as though he had forgotten the directions on how to get there. He knew had he acted as if he didn’t remember the location of the door he’d take a lot of heat from his friends. Instead of deflecting, he found himself drawn closer in the direction of the door. His own curiosity had gotten the best of him.

As they drove along they saw up ahead an old pickup truck that had pulled off alongside the dirt road. As they approached they could make out an extremely tall thin man leaning against the driver’s side door. His dress was casual and he sported a pair of dark sunglasses. They pulled up behind the truck and the tall man walked up to the driver’s window, bent down, and asked them what they were doing out there.

“We’re just driving around”, said the driver and they all gestured in the affirmative.

“Ya need to turn around,” he told them. “You’ve driven onto private property.”

“Who are you?” they said, pushing back with a little attitude, not willing to immediately comply.

“I’m the law out here,” he said, but he wore no uniform, nor did he flash a badge. The tall man offered no sign of authority. John’s friends were unimpressed.

The tall man straightened, paused, then slowly walked around the vehicle and lowered his head into the passenger’s window where John sat. John’s window was down. When he was face to face with John he raised his sunglasses and looked directly into his eyes. What John saw in the tall man’s eyes sent a shock throughout his entire body. Looking back at him were not the eyes of a man. The tall man’s eyes were more feline than human and he addressed John by his full name. “John Blank”, he said. “Consider this your warning. Do we have an understanding?”

John said, “Yes.” And with that, they drove away.

That is the extent of the story as told by John to my friend Doug. I don’t know anymore. I have lived in Las Vegas for over 50 years and have never seen a door in the desert. But there are parts of the desert around Blue Diamond that are not accessible to the public.

Doug has approached John since talking to me and asked if he would be willing to take us to the door. So far the answer is “no.”

Possible GLITCH & DOPPELGANGER Experiences on the NYC Subway

The witness details two unusual experiences while riding on the New York City subway system. One was a possible glitch or time shift. The other was a possible doppelganger.

I received the following account:

“I listened to your 'Glitches in the Matrix' video last night. I've had two experiences, both on the NYC subway. The first time was about five years ago. I was riding on the subway train, and I noticed that one of my fellow passengers was a near-perfect dead ringer for one of my friends. Yet the same face shape, the same exact hair color, and was about the same shape body-wise. However, he appeared to be about 10 or 12 years older than my friend and he had a beard on his chin and was wearing a beret and black sunglasses. He also didn't recognize me, further proof that they were not the same person. However, I swear that they looked nearly identical, so much so that I was quite shaken at the time.

The second event took place only about a week ago. I was riding downtown with my brother when I took note of a young woman sitting across from me. She was pretty, so I took a few opportunities to notice her and got a fairly good idea of what she looked like. She got off the train just before it was about to go express. I didn't think anything else of it at the time.

However, about 10 minutes later, on the other end of the express pass, both my brother and I got out of the train. As we were walking up the steps to the upper platform, I noticed the same girl coming down the steps street towards us. She walked past us and walked down the stairs. It is possible that she got off of our train and got onto another one for a seating view of the express path to the upper platform. If this is the case, she was obviously lost, because it was such a huge waste of her time when she could just stay on the train. However, it's the most reasonable explanation I can think of.” HB

HUGE CRYPTID CANINE Observed Along Hangingstone River, Alberta

An Alberta, Canada man is driving towards Edmonton one night. As he approached the Hangingstone River he observed the eyeshine of a huge creature. He later determines what it really was.

"While I was listening to you, a memory popped into my head from about 25 years ago. I can't remember what time of year it was but it was dark so it had to be late summer or early fall because there was there was no snow and the trees hadn't started turning yet.

I was driving to Edmonton, Alberta one night and I was coming to the Hangingstone River. I had just passed the Department of Highways yard and was parallel to the Hangingstone Campground when I noticed two bright reflections on the other side of the river on the slope of the hill near the top. This grabbed my attention at the time because I had driven that highway for years and couldn't remember seeing reflectors in that spot before.

As I crested the hill on the north side of the river heading down to the bridge I was still looking at the reflectors when I realized that it was eyeshine because I could see the silhouette of some kind of an animal. The eyes were huge as I mentioned above. I thought they were reflectors of some sort. I never took my eyes off this thing. It was dimly lit by my headlights and it was about halfway between the road and and the tree line. As I was driving past this thing I could see the shape of it and what it looked like to me was a giant doe or a cow moose because there were no antlers. It was sitting on its haunches like a dog would. It never shifted its gaze, it just sat there staring across the river. I was looking at it in profile as I passed. The first thing that crossed my mind was the sheer size of it, so I figured it must have been a really big cow moose. Then it struck me how odd it was for a moose to be sitting on its haunches like that because it looked just like an enormous dog. Then the goosebumps hit me and I put the pedal to the metal and sped away. But as I did that I was thinking of how silly I was to be afraid of a moose sitting like a puppy.

I can still picture in my mind's eye, just sitting there staring off across the river. It looked like a giant dog but my mind wouldn't let me process that. So it was a big cow moose at that point in my life. I was curious about the Sasquatch and I had never heard of the Dogman, so neither of those things was even on my radar at that moment. Every time I've told that story I've always said it was a moose. So, for your video to trigger that memory so vividly I believe that I have been wrong all these years about what I saw that night and I believe that I do know now what it actually was."

UNKNOWN CRYPTID Encountered in Appalachia, Southeastern Virginia (AUDIO/VIDEO/PHOTOS)

A Tennessee man is working in Southeastern Virginia. He encounters an unknown cryptid and is able to capture a photo. He also records well over 4 minutes of audio of the beast.

I recently received the following account:

"I’m from Eastern Tennessee, but when my encounter happened I was working up in and around Clintwood, Virginia close to a town called Pound, Virginia for 2 weeks. The encounter happened at an old sawmill out in the woods. There was only one way in and out of that location that I was aware of and I had been hearing strange noises like whistling and twigs breaking. Along with that, I had a strange feeling of being watched.

Now, I have seen some weird things in my life without explaining what they were. But what happened that day I cannot explain it. Every time I go to talk about this, I just start worrying and thinking about my encounter again. I can barely sleep at night and have nightmares about my encounter. I saw something that made me for sure believe that there are creatures in this world that do not want to be found until they show themselves to you!

This happened at 1:44 PM on September 22, 2020, and lasted not even 5 minutes when I saw the creature. The howls and other noises happened in the evening hours the evening when I saw the creature and the next evening throughout the time I was out there working.

I came to my service truck to get a Coca-Cola out of my cooler and I heard something make a loud growling sound. It sounded off in the woods so I looked around. Nothing. Then I heard it again and up on this cliff peeking out of the brush I saw this large black thing. When I’d look it’d hide again! Luckily I got one picture. I will say that I know it wasn’t a bear. My initial thought seeing the black coloration was that it was a bear but I realized it wasn’t because bears didn’t move like that thing did. It was larger than any bear and it was on 2 feet. I don't know how to explain it because it’s just out of place. But then it started peeking around the brush. That’s when I got out my phone and snapped the picture. But when I tried to start to record a video my phone died and I had around 70% battery. Then my phone came back on about 5 minutes after it disappeared because I kept up with the time in the pickup and my phone still had that % battery left!

I had always believed they existed yet I had my skepticism and had heard stories about Bigfoot but never had my close-up encounter. But that day it happened. I will say looking at the pictures after I zoomed in I realized this may or may not have been Bigfoot but something totally different. I want to share this, I don’t want to hide my story because it just takes one person to make others share their encounter, It needs to be told! I feel the public needs to know things are out there.

My guess was that the creature I saw was easily over 7 feet tall if not bigger. I estimate that it was over 600-700 pounds! I have also found tracks and I have pictures of the tracks. I have a picture of my boot next to the tracks and they were bigger than my boot. I wear a size 12 but I will say there are really no definitive toes in the tracks, but they are massive tracks. I will gladly answer any questions and I also have the audio of the howls I recorded. But like I said my phone was still messed up and I couldn’t use video or camera on my phone when the creature was there and whenever the creature was around. The tracks do seem to indicate Bigfoot activity, but it's hard to determine if the creature captured in the photo is a Bigfoot or a possible cryptid canine. Who Are the Extremely TALL, BLONDE-HAIRED, BLUE-EYED 'PEOPLE'

A hostess working at a Red Lobster restaurant near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania encounters 3 extremely tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed 'people' who look and act completely out of place.

I received the following account:

"I was 17 and working as a hostess at Red Lobster just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm not going to give an exact location. Anyway, we were pretty dead a couple of hours before closing time. It was a snowy weeknight. I'm the only one up at the host stand. In walks three individuals. An older woman, I'd say maybe late 30s. An older man, maybe the same age as the woman. And a young man. All are very tall. All with the same hair color, really light blonde. They had the same facial features, and each had very deep blue eyes. All were wearing pretty much the same thing. Unremarkable but clean black clothes.

It sounds crazy trying to explain how weird this was. But they looked like clones with different genders and slightly different ages. They had not a blemish. Not a wrinkle or hair out of place. And they all had the exact same facial expression. Kind of smiling politely but I swear it felt like they were looking into my soul.

For some reason, I totally froze in shock. I guess maybe I could sense something was weird. Anyway, after standing there in shock for, I don't know how long, I stuttered, 'Hello.' They didn't respond. Just kept the same facial expression. I grabbed menus and gestured for them to follow me. They did. I seated them and told them their server would be with them shortly. They kept the same expression and as I turned to walk away all turned their heads in the same way at the same time to watch me.

I know it probably sounds like nothing but I swear it was so freaking weird.

I came home and told my mom about it and she told me about a time when she was working her first job at 16 at McDonalds. It was the closing shift and the only customer there was a tall pale man with white blonde hair just like the people I saw, except his hair was long. She said he came up to the counter and smiled at her. Just smiled. He didn't say a word but clicked his extremely long fingernails on the counter. She kept asking him what she could get for him until she finally got creeped out enough to go in the back.

Have you ever heard of anyone who had an experience like this or have any idea what the hell this was? I know in my bones they were not normal humans." MM

Crimean Man ABDUCTED by REPTILIAN-LIKE 'MERMAN'

A Crimean resident is walking along the Black Sea shore near his home. He is suddenly accosted and abducted by a Reptilian-like 'Merman,' and taken to an unknown location.

One day in 1995 in mid-morning a local resident of Sudak in the Crimea named Georgiy, walked to an embankment on the Black Sea for a breath of sea air. With a goblet of beer with him he stepped down to the sand and watched the horizon. It was a calm and beautiful day. Suddenly something sneaked up to him from behind and put a rubber mask on his head, Georgiy struggled and grabbed the mask under his chin and pulled it off, thinking it was some kind of stupid prank. But in the next second, he found himself amid a huge hall, he could neither see the sea or beach or sky. There were huge screens on the walls and multitudes of various control panels with buttons and chairs in front of them. When he looked down, he saw that he was holding a rubber mask resembling that of a blue reptilian “monster,” skin like a lizard, covered with warts.

Suddenly a door opened in the wall and three “monsters” entered the room. These resembled very much the face on the mask he was holding. They were tall, about 2 meters in height, blue in color, all covered entirely by warts; they were nude and were “awful” in appearance. One of them approached Georgiy and put his hand on his shoulder (the alien had three huge curved clawed fingers on his hand) and said in a low hoarse voice “Homo Sapiens.” Georgiy could see huge yellow fangs in his opened mouth. After that, seized by a terrific panic Georgiy began to scream, he jerked back, threw the mask on the floor, and ran away. He entered a corridor and passed numerous oval doors, different screens, and instruments. Overwhelmed by fear he ran into another room and there he was confronted by another blue reptilian humanoid. The humanoid opened his huge arms on his sides and said, “Where are you running to?”

After that, he pressed something on the wall and Georgiy saw what he called an “abyss”, endless space everywhere. He could see stars and beautiful scenes in space. He was trembling with fear when one of the blue reptilians approached him took his hand and said, “Do not be afraid”. He then accompanied the witness to the next room. In that room, he saw hundreds of reptilian humanoids standing in the ranks. All were standing shoulder to shoulder and all were looking at the witness. Suddenly they moved aside and the witness saw a beautiful woman with light hair, sleeping on a small sofa, she was totally naked. He saw her for several seconds and after that, the blue reptilians closed ranks again and she disappeared from sight. The alien then accompanied Georgiy to a screen. There were stars on the screen. The reptilian pointed with his claw at one of the stars and said, “Earth”. After that, he embraced the witness with his powerful three-fingered hands and said, “Stay with us. We have no time and death.” Terrified Georgiy could only say that he wanted to go back home, that his mother was waiting for him and begged them to let him go. The alien then said, “Well then is there anything you want to know?” Georgiy could only think of one thing at that point, “How long will my mother live?” The alien answered, “As much as your age now”. After that the star on the screen began to approach very fast and began to resemble the globe of Earth, he could see clouds.

Suddenly Georgiy realized that he was standing near his house, but only in the opposite direction from where he had originally left. He had been gone for 5 hours. He noticed a peculiar detail; the coins in his pocket began to glow with a yellowish light when he took them out. This light disappeared in the morning.

NOTE: Who was the woman he reportedly saw sleeping on the sofa? Was the woman another abductee used to lure Georgiy to stay with them? Much of the information I have gathered on the reptilian species, including David Eckhart's accounts, tends to paint them as a very intolerant bunch that has little patience for humans. Also, they usually grab what they want and give little care as to what happens to those they abduct. There are 'mermen' stories and legends throughout the regions next to the Black Sea, including the Crimea. There are also accounts reported in the Caspian Sea. Could these 'mermen' really exist? Lon

ACTOR HAL SPARKS Recalls His UFO ENCOUNTER & MISSING TIME

Actor & writer Hal Sparks sits down for an interview where he discusses a very strange incident that happened when he was young, growing up in Peaks Mill, Kentucky.

"Hal Sparks was born on September 25, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio. At a young age, his family moved to Peaks Mill, Kentucky where he would spend most of his early childhood. He would eventually go on to become a successful actor, writer, comedian, musician, and, most recently, political pundit. Sparks rose to fame after landing the lead role in the popular TV show 'Queer As Folk' in 2000. He also appeared in nearly 40 movies, including “Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2” and “Dude, Where's My Car?”.

In 2019, Hal sat down for an interview with the TV program, “Famously Afraid.” The episode aired on November 5, 2019. In it, he discussed a very strange incident that happened when he was young, growing up in Peaks Mill. He had two friends that he hung around with and they would spend hours hiking the local fields and forests as there were no recreational parks at the time. He claims that one evening in 1977, when he was 8 years old, he and his pal were hanging out at their other friends' house, chilling out and watching TV. The place was an old country house in the middle of nowhere. It was surrounded by acres of overgrown hilly fields. It was around 10:00 PM. The friend's parents were not home and Hal and the other two boys sat around watching cartoons on old TV, one with rabbit ears for reception, which was situated right in front of the window.

“Almost simultaneously we all look. We see something out the window over the field out back of the house. It comes in, zips like that (uses a finger to show its movement), and a cigar-shaped orange craft appears. It's zipping around in the sky. We looked at each other. Looked back at it. It stayed still after we saw it move, just kinda hovering. And being 1978-79, we're all 'Star Wars' fans, we all agreed mentally at that moment, it can't be anything else but a UFO. Nobody said anything, we just got up and ran. We all just wanted to see it closer. We immediately race outside and that's when it gets immediately hazy. We're racing towards this thing in the field, running as fast as we can to try and catch up with this thing. It was still. It was just hanging out there... waiting for us. I cannot say with any clarity whether it was close or far away. It never gets bigger than half an inch in width from what we're seeing but the idea is that it's substantial. And next thing you know... We're back in the room as if nothing happened but time has passed. None of us knew how we got back in the room. We just kinda sat there stunned a little bit.”

Hal claims that the three of them sat discussing what had happened, trying to make sense of it. “I remember very distinctly most of what happened and that gap stands out. That gap between us running out there to see this thing, whatever it was, and ending up back in the house. It's very stark and very blank.”

“As a kid, I was more amazed than afraid. It wasn't until I'd grown up that it became scary.”

In 1993, Hal moved to Los Angeles to pursue his love of acting and comedy. He needed to pay his bills so he got work as an assistant to a Hollywood science fiction screenwriter. “I was basically a research assistant,” Hal noted.

“I was sent out to find every book on aliens interacting with humans that I could possibly find. So I take this giant stack of books on UFOs and abductions back to my house and I sit in my bedroom and I'm surrounded by piles of them and I start cracking. I spend the next two weeks reading everything, from Project Blue Book to Whitley Steiber's 'Communion', all the 'Fire In The Sky' type stuff.”

Hal admits that he became a little paranoid after reading so much bizarre material. He wondered if aliens could actually be visiting Earth and snatching people up, testing them, impregnating them. Was it possible, and why?

Then he remembered his own experience when he was 8 years old. “I don't know if I thought about that thing that happened when I was kind in the context of this at all until that darn weird self-printed crazy book.”

One of the last books Hal read was from a man calling himself Commander X. Hal notes that he was mostly underwhelmed by the material, as it seemed to rehash the same stories from the other books except for a paragraph in the final chapter that caught his attention.

“I read it cover to cover. So I get to the end of the book and almost the very last paragraph is sort of a warning. If you have been drawn to this kind of material about UFOs it is more than likely it is because you are one of the abductees. And it runs in your family and the aliens have been tracking your hereditary line... I kind of panicked. It never occurred to me that what I saw when I was a kid was part of an abduction As a child I didn't think, 'Oh, I've been abducted'. I didn't carry that around. Then I was like, 'What if? Oh my god, what if?' I was scared to go outside. I didn't leave the house for three days. I finally talked myself down. But then I was like, You know what, nobody in my family has ever talked about this stuff, it's clearly just, I'm inundated with this stuff, I just need to chill out.”

Not long after that Hal returned to Kentucky to visit family for Thanksgiving. They were all at his grandmother’s house. He started talking about the script he was helping with and how it was about alien abduction. Hal's grandmother proceeded to tell him that his late grandfather had had an experience involving aliens that so traumatized him that he actually got a shotgun. Further, his grandmother also saw an object, as well, his great-uncle had an encounter with a UFO around the year Hal's father was born.

“What immediately runs through my head when she says this is, It runs in your family. Not only are you being abducted but you're probably from a long line of people who are being tracked. The fear that this is true has lurched back into my life. Up to that point, I had been safe because no one in my family had ever talked about this stuff before.”

Hal continues to wonder if he will have another encounter like the one he had as a child. “Will it keep coming up and in what form? How will it re-enter my life”
