Irritated CREATURE 'BARKS' Continuously at Northern California Campers

Two friends are camping in Lassen National Park in Northern California. That night, they begin to hear multiple guttural 'barking' sounds from an irritated beast emanating from the hill above them.

"I'm 60 years old and, except for 5 years in the 1990s when I lived in northern Idaho, I have lived in Northern California all my life. Thanks to my father I've been hunting, fishing, and camping since I was old enough to walk. I've had quite a few experiences of these Sasquatch beings from whoops that were so close and loud enough that I could feel it in my chest to being escorted out of the woods with that weird walk when you feel like you're being stalked.

The nights at my current residence can be a bit of an adventure with strange murmurings and whistles, to being woken up from the house being banged on.

The experience I want to share is my first. It happened during the summer by a high mountain stream in a meadow while I was with my friend Mike. This was in the Lassen National Park in Northern California. I first discovered this beautiful secluded place several years earlier during a deer hunting trip with my dad. Once you leave the paved road it's about an hour's drive up a winding dirt road full of switchbacks to where we parked.

It was about an hour before sundown. we began gathering firewood and setting up camp. It was about 2 hours after the sun went down we had a bite to eat and were sitting around the fire discussing how we wanted to fish the stream in the morning. Then uphill from us, about 50 yards away, came a strange sound. The best description I can give you is a cross between a cough and a bark, only much louder and more guttural, for lack of a better description. I'll just refer to it as a bark. Then it did it again and again. Soon there was barking in groups of five or six and then it would go silent for a minute or two then would start up again. I've never heard anything like it before or since. I've been all over the internet trying to find out what it was and the closest thing I find is some close gorilla sounds and a baboon bark that is close but not exact.

We both stood up and Mike asked, "What is that?" I was dumbstruck. I didn't know what to tell him. He was new to the outdoors and I was a so-called experienced outdoorsman. I admitted I was scared. Finally, I whispered, "I don't know." I told him to put more wood on the fire and unstrapped the Winchester 2535 carbine I had packed. It was a moonless night so seeing anything beyond the fire was impossible.

After about 25 minutes of this damn barking going on, I told Mike I was going to step away from the fire to see if I can spot anything silhouetted against the night sky. I stepped away about 15 yards, sat at my rifle against a tree, and cupped my hands around my eyes binocular-like to try and black out the light from the fire. I stared up the hillside every once in a while. I thought I could see starlight being blocked out or a dark shape appearing where it wasn't a little bit before, but nothing conclusive. After a few minutes, I realized Mike was standing next to me with his knife in his hand.

I was just about to speak when there came a loud crashing of brush and branches as something was heading down the hill straight for us. I grabbed my rifle and levered a shell into the chamber when all of a sudden, out of the darkness, came a doe. She stepped into the firelight, slowed to a walk, stopped directly between us, and stared at us with huge eyes. She was so close I could almost have reached out and poked her with the barrel of my rifle. My heart was beating out of my chest and I was almost hyperventilating. I was so relieved when that doe stepped into the firelight, not some beast. But I was really confused. Was the doe making those sounds?

Then that damn barking started up again and this time it sounded even more irritated. The doe's head snaps back looking over its shoulder. Then she did a quickstep past us heading in the opposite direction from us and disappeared into the darkness. That doe was less afraid of us and our fire than of whatever was up the hill from us! We both stepped back over to the fire and briefly discussed packing up and heading out, but quickly decided against it, fearing the trail would be impossible to follow in the dark.

Then that damn thing started pacing back and forth while barking at us. The barking would get farther away, maybe 100 yards or more, and then it would make its way back directly uphill from us. It seemed like every time it got closer the barking sounded more irritated. It would get farther away, then back again, farther away, then back again. Our nerves were getting worse and worse with our ever-shrinking wood pile when finally, after about 2 hours of the barking, it got farther and farther away and then went silent.

Thank God, the rest of the night was uneventful. Needless to say, neither of us slept much and every perceived sound sent us both upright and wide awake. The next day we packed up early and hit the trail."

Early 'OUIJA MANIA': The Strangest Craze of All

I received the following from a reader, Garron Yates, which includes an excerpt from 'Mrs. Wakeman vs. the Antichrist: And Other Strange-but-True Tales from American History'

From the Oakland (CA) Tribune, December 26, 1919:

Richmond Milliner Is Run Down by Speeding Motorist, Who Fails to Halt Car After Fatally Injuring the Victim

No trace has been found of the machine that struck Miss Moro at San Pablo and Potrero avenues, just out of Richmond toward El Cerrito. She was found unconscious in the road, the speed of the machine indicated by the finding of her hat 60ft [18m] away, but no assistance had been rendered her by its occupants.

She was taken to the Craven Hospital in Richmond, where her death from a fracture of the skull and internal injuries followed. Richmond and El Cerrito officials are seeking the machine which caused her death but with almost no clews upon which to work.

Chief of police W. H. Wood was confident that the driver would be caught: “We have the testimony of an eye witness who saw the car run the girl down and flee,” he told the Oakland Tribune. “We know where the car was going and we expect to seize the guilty person at any time.” But his prediction proved wrong.

The hit-and-run driver was not found, and eighteen-year-old Jennie Moro’s funeral was held on December 31, possibly the last of 1919’s 3,808 traffic fatalities to be buried that year. “Each year it becomes more and more dangerous for a person to walk the streets,” declared the Census Bureau, but if Stutz Bearcats and Model T Fords endangered American bodies there was another, more subtle danger threatening their minds, and it would twist the Moro’s sorrow into madness.

The Mania Begins

Jennie Moro came from an Italian family that lived in what was then the small Bay Area town of El Cerrito, California. She was survived by her recently widowed mother, Mary, fifty-one, and a twenty-nine-year-old sister named Josephine. She had two small children and was married to Charles Soldavini, a plumber. They lived together in a two-story frame building on San Pablo Avenue, near the place where Jennie was killed, and from which the late Mr. Naggaro Moro had run his blacksmith and plumbing businesses.

The family apparently had a Ouija board since 1918, though they seldom used it and had no faith in its communications. When Jennie died, however, the Moros began holding séances and consulting the board in a psychical search for the hit-and-run driver.

Josephine Soldavini approached town marshal Curtis Johnson, “with a jumble of numbers which she claimed that she had received in a dream” and believed that they formed the fatal car’s registration number. When a corresponding number was not found in the automobile register, the séances continued. Mrs. Moro contacted the spirit of her late husband, Naggaro, who threatened to punish her daughter’s killer, and the family was “gradually drawn into the belief that communication with the dead was being had through the board and through dreams.”

The “board” at the center of their efforts was patented as a “toy or game” in 1891, and a popular craze by 1920. Most players took a lighthearted approach to the results, using it to find missing objects or learn the future (“Tell me Ouija, that’s a dear / Who’ll be president next year?”), while others worried about its effect on the user’s mental equilibrium.

At the University of Michigan, Ouija boards were reportedly “replacing Bibles and prayer books,” so that a local nerve specialist was treating female students for “extreme nervousness” brought about by “too close association with the Ouija board and too great belief in its wandering. They had become fascinated by its message and had come to place so much trust in them that they were in a serious condition when they were turned over to him.” Men were also vulnerable, and a member of the staff warned that “[T]he ouija is becoming a serious menace to this country.”

Séance in the House of Mystery

On February 25, the Richmond Independent reported that, “Tony Bena, a neighbour, said that Mrs. Moro came to his house...and said she was going to save him and his family. She had wept on his arm at the time and he had tried to calm her. This is the first time he had noticed anything peculiar in the actions of his neighbors.”

A few days later, a hole appeared in the Moro-Soldavini yard (or, perhaps, a block away from their house) that was about the size of a grave, and appeared to have dirt added or removed every day. This looked like the work of the spirits to Mrs. Moro, her family, and a growing circle of séance participants that came to include two nephews, Louis and Henry Ferrerio, and the Moro’s neighbors: John (Giovanni) B. Bottini, forty-five; his thirty-six-year-old wife, Santina; and their daughters Rosa, age twelve, and fifteen-year-old Adeline.

The high school principal described Adeline as one of her brightest girls and said that she had been perfectly normal “until this change came down on her.” The teenager came to believe that she was clairvoyant, a trance medium, and possessed by the spirit of Jennie Moro, who “was completely in control of her body dictating every action.” The spirit of “Mrs. Thomas, a colored woman who had been dead for some years,” was also said to have power over her.

As the séances continued, the spirits wanted Adeline to have a comb decorated with “six stones of different hue.” But Mrs. Bottini was unable to find one and bought her daughter a six-colored corset instead. This, and other odd requests, might have been part of the preparations being made for a grand “Passion Display” that was expected to take place at five P.M. on March 3, when “the evil in all of them would be cast out” through the influence of Jennie Moro’s spirit. The mystery of the hole would be revealed soon after.

Adeline dreamed that evil spirits were in her clothes, so those were burned along with some money and, possibly, the Ouija board itself. Mr. Bottini also bought her an expensive new dress, and possibly a $150 diamond ring; the spirits apparently liked clothing and jewelry.

With the Passion Display drawing near, séances went on twenty-four hours a day. Rosa Bottini was unable to keep food down and needed to be revived several times with “holy water.” Adeline said that Rosa’s hair must be cut to save her life and it was, along with that of another child, and the clippings burned to dispel evil spirits. There were now five children in the house, as well as Mrs. Tony Bena, who was threatened with “bodily harm” if she tried to leave.

Mrs. Bena had been there twelve hours when the Ouija board commanded the group to collect her daughter. Finding the Benas’s door locked “the enthusiasts beat upon it with a hammer. Tony Bena, worried concerning his wife’s absence drove the messengers away and decided to seek police aid in breaking up the séance.”

El Cerrito did not have a police department in 1920, so town marshal A. W. MacKinnon was informed that the two families had drawn their curtains, barred the door and were “acting queerly.”

At three P.M. on March 3, MacKinnon asked Chief Wood, from neighboring Richmond, for help. They met at the Moro-Soldavini house—dubbed “the House of Mystery” by journalists—along with six officers and two patrol cars.

The police were refused entry but did not have to force their way in. Perhaps Chief Wood met the family after Jennie’s death, or knew that the Moros and Soldavinis were “highly spoken for by neighbors as law-abiding hard-working Italian people.” Whatever the reason, Father J. J. Hennessy, a pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Berkeley, was sent for and persuaded the group to open the door and let officers enter the house. Adeline was “scantily clad” or wearing her new dress, the children were hungry, and the communicants “in a state of high nervous excitement and nearing exhaustion from lack of food and sleep.” When the group realized they were being arrested, Mrs. Moro reportedly screamed, “My husband is here and he will kill you!” Whether or not the late Mr. Moro was present, a “lively tussle” ensued and the eight Ouija board enthusiasts taken to the county hospital at Martinez. Mrs. Bottini went into a trance and told officers “she had gone through the torment of the crucifixion, and then, being addressed by the Deity through her daughter, she had been brought back to Earth.”

John Bottini was released and instructed to appear in Judge R. H. Latimer’s courtroom the next day, so the County Lunacy Commission could evaluate those who had been arrested. In the meantime, Bottini looked after his youngest daughters, while Mrs. Moro’s cousin, Joe Ferrerio, cared for the Soldavini children.

The hearing lasted several hours. Tony Bena and Joe Ferrerio were present, and Rosa Bottini gave the panel of three doctors “a clear and lucid description of what took place.” This contrasted with the account given by the four female “Ouijamaniacs” who talked “wildly” whenever the board was mentioned. All four were judged insane “on their own testimony,” and Judge Latimer committed Adeline and Mrs. Moro to the state mental hospital at Stockton, and Mrs. Bottini and Josephine Soldavini to the Napa asylum. The men were released after they “disavowed their belief in the alleged messages of the board and said they took part in the séances in an effort to dissipate the hallucinations of the women.”

Charles Soldavini reportedly burned the board that night, but the Ouija’s resilience is legendary and it continued to fascinate those living around San Francisco Bay.

Ouijaphobia

Four days before the families were arrested, a brick was thrown through a jeweler’s window, reportedly at a “suggestion from the Ouija board.”

A few days after that, Captain O’Day, of San Francisco’s Potrero police station, filed a report with his chief on March 4 expressing concerns about officer Elmer H. Dean, who “had been acting peculiarly and talked much of the information he had obtained from a Ouija board. He said he had a message instructing him to capture some mysterious enemy.” Dean borrowed a revolver from the station and did not report to work the next morning.

He was found at Berkeley and sent to the Anderson sanitarium at Fruitvale but escaped, jumping onto the running board of a passing car, pointing the gun at the driver, and demanding to be taken back to Berkeley. He undressed along the way (no small trick while clinging to the outside of a moving car) and when they reached downtown Oakland, the naked Dean took refuge in the Central Bank Building. A patrolman brought a blanket and returned him to the hospital, where doctors attempted to evaluate “the effect the Ouija board produced upon his mind.” Such incidents were not restricted to California.

The citizens of Macon, Missouri, had become so preoccupied with the board that “one person in five of the entire population . . . had fallen a wild-eyed victim to the strange malady” and preparations were under way at a local institution for their “wholesale reception.”

Back at El Cerrito, it was reported that “Ouija mania has gripped the entire city.” A meeting held at town hall on March 4 resolved to ban the board and have the town’s 1,200 residents examined to see if they were under its influence. A committee was formed to approach psychiatrists at the University of California and enlist their help.

Meanwhile, the “varnished and nimble ‘wee-gee’” was being denounced from the pulpit (“People who consult the Ouija board rather than Christ are displaying a yellow streak”), in the lecture hall (“as dangerous as a shot-gun in the hands of a maniac”), and by newspaper editors (“time for an end to the tolerance that has given the Ouija a wide and claptrap popularity”). San Francisco’s Spiritualist churches proposed a “Ouija board test” for the police force, claiming that “insanity of the kind disclosed by the Ouija board prevails to a degree 250 times greater among policemen than another other people.”

The board was called a drug “that is put into the brain directly . . . and the damage is swiftly and directly done,” and an illness with a recognizable course. “Dementia Ouija usually does not manifest itself in the form of frank delusions or hallucinations, but rather in an insidious way. The victim first regards the instrument with amusement, later with interest, still later with mystification and finally when the mind is sufficiently debased by the insane business, with actual reverence.” Furthermore, Ouija madness was a communicable disease.

Sacramento’s health department ordered detectives to break up Ouija board meetings, and that city, along with Oakland and Richmond, considered ordinances to prevent sales of the board. State senator William R. Sharkey prepared a bill to prohibit the “spirit’s switchboard” in California altogether, but unlike the Prohibition of alcohol that began two months earlier, attempts to ban the board proved unsuccessful

Richmond discovered that it did not have the authority to prohibit Ouija boards, the citizens of El Cerrito were not subjected to mass analysis, and there is nothing to suggest that police “séance squads” carried out raids. In July, Oakland detectives did arrest a medium for producing “spirits” that advised her clients to buy oil stocks that she controlled, but this was not the “War on clairvoyants, spiritualists, séances and Ouija board manipulators” described by the press. In fact, a determined anti-Ouija movement never appeared, and most of those deranged by the board soon recovered.

The fate of the naked policeman is not known, but the four women at the center of the Ouija hysteria were freed before the end of April; their descendants still live at El Cerrito, where the events of 1920 are largely forgotten. The House of Mystery is also gone, and a Target superstore stands on the site.

Cinema de Ouija

Cerritoans might have put the business behind them, yet the story remains intriguing.

In 2003, writer-director Ryan McKinney began work on a supernatural horror movie about a young married couple who move into a Victorian house where they discover Mrs. Moro’s twice-burned Ouija board in the attic. The husband warns his wife not to touch it, but the film’s promotional tagline is “One little question won’t KILL me!”

McKinney “looked into some of the stories of what happened, what was reported, and then took it a level further to see what happened to people who participated in it.” The result was The Invited, starring Carlos Alazraqui and Pam Grier, which was released in 2010.

Films sometimes revive interest in the events that inspired them, and much of what happened in 1920 remains unexplained. What was the group trying to accomplish? Did Mary Moro, or the others, consider themselves psychic before the séances began? And why were the men released when John Bottini is quoted as saying: “We believe in the Ouija board and our faith is unshaken. The board will drive away evil spirits. Do you think we look like maniacs?”

In addition to insanity, Ouija boards have also been blamed for a handful of murders, but millions of divorces and suicides. But millions have experienced nothing more traumatic than a giggle. Nevertheless, it is worth remembering El Cerrito before dimming the lights, resting your fingertips on the planchette, and asking: “Is anybody there?”

Florida Man Remembers His NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE

A Florida man suffers a heart attack and, as a result, has a near-death experience. He details the incident and what he remembers.

I received the following account:

“It was the Summer of 2013. At the time, I was in Titusville, Florida. I was just kind of homeless, house surfing. I was working for this lady doing some cleaning work just to make the rent. So I'm sitting up late at night and I was unfortunately smoking at the time. I've since quit smoking these cigarettes she was buying, these cigar cigarettes which were terrible. Cigarettes are terrible anyway. I had this chest pain. I'm going, 'Oh my god, no, I don't want to do this.' It was just this pressure on my chest. I called 911 myself. It's around 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning.

The ambulance came very quickly. The ambulance and the fire truck. They all came into the house and checked me. They heard me out, checked my numbers and they said I was okay. I was still scared. I said, 'Man, I have this chest pain.' So they looked at me. They were all looking down at me while I was sitting in this recliner going, 'What do you want to do?' I said 'I'll go to the hospital. I don't feel right.'

So, they took me to the hospital. I'm in the ER, you know, rushed me to the hospital in the ambulance. I was lying in there and my heart stopped. They said later that I was dead for like 30 seconds but I remember vividly looking down and seeing all the doctors and all the staff. All of a sudden everybody descended. I don't remember what I heard exactly, code blue, whatever, but there were probably 15 or so people around my gurney in the ER and they were doing whatever you call it, you know, on your chest, to get me going again. The paddles. I had died.

There are stories a lot of people have told about near death but this happened to me and I ended up fully conscious within a few minutes after getting me stabilized. They later placed a stent from my crotch up to my lower anterior artery. But I had died and I saw this happening and, yeah, that's creepy. It's not like going through a dark tunnel and seeing scary shapeshifters but that was scary enough.

Recent Recording of an UNKNOWN BIPEDAL CRYPTID Near Quartzsite, Arizona (VIDEO)

A new video recently surfaced that was supposedly recorded near Quartzsite, Arizona, which is located in La Paz County, west of Phoenix. I'll leave any interpretation to the readers.

The video commentary states:

"We saw something while camping in the remote desert area near Quartzsite, Arizona. We were able to catch something on videotape with a Panasonic AG-DVC30 MiniDV camcorder with night vision."

Because of the low quality of the video, obtaining a decent screenshot is very difficult. What are your thoughts?

Sighting Near Quartzsite, Arizona

NOTE: There is definitely something bipedal moving through the bushes near the campsite. But the video is so grainy it's difficult to discern what this was. The dog does seem to be reacting to the supposed creature. But, then again, this may very well be a hoax.

The Colorado River Reservation is nearby and west of Phoenix. The tribes included in the reservation are Mohave, Chemehuevl, Hopi, and Navajo. There have been a few reported sightings of Bigfoot in the area. Lon

"My friend Shannon sent me this recording from Western North Carolina. These occurred for a couple of weeks in October. I live in the northeastern tip of Tennessee and I notice these (Bigfoot) are around here mid to late Fall usually October through December. I'm about 15 minutes from the Appalachian Trail.

I saw them (Bigfoot) a couple of times, one standing beside the road one morning and two in my backyard at about 4:40 am as I left work. There isn't enough light to get a good photo or video. That's why they're so hard to capture on camera. Not only are they rare they are nocturnal too."

Was An ANGEL Witnessed Before Fatal Crash in California's Mojave Desert?

A long-haul driver is driving on I-40 near Newberry Springs, California. He notices a woman dressed in white, standing in the desert, that seems to be levitating. Was it an 'angel?'

A former long-haul driver wrote into Darkness Radio describing his strange sighting in Newberry Springs, California:

“Several years ago I was a long-haul truck driver. In this instance, I was on I-40 in Newberry Springs, California. I'd probably been through this area 30 or 40 times but had never really paid any attention to the name of the town. 

While traveling through the area, I noticed a woman standing in the desert dressed in bright white. It really caught me off guard because it was so out of place. I looked when I went by and she appeared to be in Middle Eastern-type clothing but she appeared to be bright white. I couldn't really make out any facial features, as well, as her feet and hands appeared distorted almost like she was levitating.

I called my sister and told her about it immediately. I told her the name of the town and what I saw, so she got on Google to see if anything like that had been reported but it hadn't. 36 hours later, I pulled into a rest area in Dragoon, Arizona to go to bed for the night, I was scrolling through Facebook and an article caught my attention. It said something to the effect of a tractor-trailer-car accident in Newberry Springs, California. Now keep in mind I never paid any attention to the name of that town before so I clicked on the article to find out that right after I came through there were a few cars and a tractor-trailer that were involved in an accident. I think there ended up being about five fatalities in the accident. I immediately thought back to the woman I had seen standing in the desert.

My thoughts - maybe she was an angel waiting to usher these souls to the other side. Maybe she was something else but the whole experience left me with more questions than answers."

NOTE: This highway has had a lot of fatal accidents involving tractor-trailers, but I believe that this is a link to the accident in question. Lon

Wild Account! BIGFOOT Aids Northern Idaho Search & Rescue Team in Woman's Safe Recovery!

A woman is lost in the northern Idaho wilderness. A search & rescue team leader describes the strange circumstances that occurred during the search and how it involved a Bigfoot.

"I live in eastern Washington, and I'm a 27-year firefighter/paramedic veteran. I volunteer with several search and rescue teams from Washington to Idaho. In the late spring of 2014, I was on vacation at my son and daughter-in-law's home in northern Idaho when over the local news they announced a need for trained rescue members to help search for a family of five lost for two days. I travel with my seasonal rescue equipment so I'm prepared at all times.

I drove an hour and 45 minutes with my son to a northern Idaho town out of Bonners Ferry where the command center was. We divided into teams of seven. Everyone from all over the north came out to help. I took the lead of my team and searched the high country at the border of Montana and Idaho. When we arrived we met a Montana conservation officer. He told us that the father and children had made it out but he had to leave his wife because her hip seemed to be broken and she couldn't walk. He had left a .357 pistol with her for protection and signal for rescuers. She also had a whistle.

As we headed up the mountain, after 1 hour we ran into three search volunteers that were gassed from the off-trail search. As they followed the sound of a whistle they said that they followed the whistle sound into the big timber but couldn't catch up to it. Confused by this report we marked their last GPS area on our map and proceeded to that area. It was 4:00 in the afternoon, weather was sunny and dry. We heard a faint whistle sound come from a ridge roughly a half mile ahead. We thought, 'Awesome. We found her.' This is when things went weird.

We hiked maybe 1000 feet when we heard the whistle again. This time it was closer. We yelled out to her but with no reply. We walked another 500 feet when this time the whistle was now blowing constantly, always ahead of us. Our trail was coming to an end. It turned into a narrow game trail. I pulled up the map and GPS to check where we were. We were in the correct area but it did not match the husband's description. We all talked it over. This time, out of the seven of us, four voted to continue to follow this now loud-blowing and constant whistle. 

Through the timber, across the creek's upper rock wall to a meadow, we found her. I radioed to command, 'We have her. Send the helicopter. She is unconscious." As I set an IV and the other medic stabilized her pelvis, the others cleared out the brush and branches so the prop wash from the airlift wouldn't hurt anyone. One of the members walked over and handed me a bright orange whistle on a lanyard that she said she found hanging on a tree limb 35 yards away. That freaked us out! How the hell did she blow that whistle? She was unconscious. There were no other hikers on the mountain that we saw and the area where the whistle was hanging was above a cliff just yards away.

After she was recovered by Life Flight helicopter we headed out to the command center. The sheriff greeted us. He took us aside and asked all of us if we saw anything strange. Apparently, when the helicopter was approaching, they both saw a large creature walking away from where we were. We told them about the traveling whistle and how it kept moving as we followed and that's how we found the victim. Now I've heard stories of people being helped by these creatures or Bigfoot, as you call them. There are nine of us, a sheriff, two firefighters, myself, and others who experienced this wonder."

Young North-Central Wisconsin Man Encounters SASQUATCH in Clover Field

A young north-central Wisconsin man has an encounter with a Sasquatch while in a clover field. At the time, he had no idea what he had seen. He had experienced other strange activities as well.

"I grew up in north-central Wisconsin. After high school, I served 10 years in the US Marine Corps. I retired from the military after 23 years and worked as a hydraulics mechanic in a plant that made body armor for the military. Now to the weird stuff.

My little brother owns about 14 acres of woods with his house a few miles west of Frankfurt, Kentucky. Two years ago I started a deer hunt out there. The woods of three hills with two drains breaking them up. They were in an L-shape draining into a creek bottom. In the first year, the 2018 season, I positioned myself in the middle of the hill and had a good view down to a clearing about 50 yards away with a bunch of failed trees and limbs. I spent most of 3 weeks looking down into the clearing. Nothing unusual happened this year but it's important.

Back in 2019, about 5 months before deer season opened up. I ended up buying a tree stand. We put it together and set it up at the bottom of the hills by the creek with my back to the property line. Depending on the wind I would either use the tree or sit at the top of my original spot.

One day in the tree stand, after I woke up, I noticed that it was dead quiet. No birds, no squirrels, nothing. Just silence. I didn't see anything. It just felt weird. After about 20 minutes the woods went back to normal. A couple of days later the wind changed directions. So I was sitting at the top of the hill in my old spot looking down into that clearing. I'm not seeing anything all day. I decided to check the trail across the clearing for fresh deer signs. I slowly made my way down the hill to the edge of the clearing. Now this is the same clearing I spent all the previous season looking down into, then off and on this current season.

When I got down to the bottom a panic started to come over me. Somehow I felt lost. I was turning around looking all over trying to figure out where I was and how to get out. I didn't have any idea where I was. I managed to calm myself down and focused on a big oak tree and suddenly I knew exactly where I was at. I started walking back up the hill to my spot in front of the tree where I had my gear. I was trying to make sense of what just happened. I grabbed my gear, got in the truck, and went to my brother's house. I told him what had just happened. He actually believed me. I was back out there at 0400 the next morning and didn't have any other occurrences

In 1978 in north-central Wisconsin, during my senior year in high school, we had two pet rabbits. In the evenings I would ride my motorcycle out into the country to this clover field to pick some for the rabbits. One evening I was picking clover and looked over my shoulder and saw this dark figure of what I thought was a bear. It was about 150 yards away eating the clover. As I watched it the damn thing stood up and looked over at me. It then turned and walked into the tree line. This sort of freaked me out at the time. I never heard anything about Sasquatch so I didn't know what it was until many years later, and yes, I would still go back there to pick clover, but I kept my bike running and pointed towards home."

Wisconsin Teen Recalls GLOWING WHITE FIGURES in His Home

A teen boy sees a glowing white figure in the dark hallway of his house. He tells his father, but it is not found. Later, he sees a glowing boy in the hallway and later that night in the backyard.

I received the following account:

“I don’t know what I saw. When I was like 15 years old, my family and I came home from the grocery store one evening. We lived outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Menomonee Falls. My dad told me to unlock the door and that they’d get the stuff out of the trunk. When I entered my house I looked down the hallway and I saw a white figure. It almost glowed in the dark hallway! Out of fear I ran to my family and told my father I saw someone in the house. When my father went to check it out and then the rest of the house he told us he saw nothing. But later, something similar was seen by me.

I saw a boy walking into the same hallway (the one I saw the white glowing figure) not much taller than me. His skin was also white and glowing but not as bright as the earlier figure. The boy had on a Milwaukee Brewers baseball cap. He was also wearing jeans. I don’t remember what color his shirt was. I tried to talk to the boy thinking he was one of my brothers’ friends but he wouldn’t answer. He turned into my parents and the door closed.

I slowly opened the door and he wasn’t anywhere. I checked under the bed, in the closet, and under the covers but I saw nothing. But later that night, I saw the same boy standing in the backyard as I watched from my bedroom window. He was staring away from me. Then he walked into the neighbor's years and out of sight. When I think back, I wish someone else was there to confirm what I saw just to be sure I know I wasn’t imagining things.

I moved from that house after I graduated from high school and never saw anything like that again. Both seemed more average-bodied.” SB
