6-FOOT-TALL, PURPLE-COLORED BAT-WINGED HUMANOID Observed in Greensburg, Indiana

A Greensburg, Indiana resident recalls a sighting of a bat-winged humanoid that was in a tree in his backyard. There was no sound and he never saw it fly away.

I received the following account:

"Hello, sir. This incident happened around 9 years ago in 2014 during the summer. At that time, we lived in a small subdivision near Greensburg, Indiana (Decatur County). My house was in front of a small forest area, so the backyard is a large clearing with lots of trees behind it, which is bordered by a fence my father built. In the backyard, there is also a greenhouse and a shed. Behind the trees is a small trailer home park.

I remember going outside on a cloudy day to get my dog since he was outside. He was outside for way longer than usual so I got worried and went to take a look.

As I went down the balcony steps to go into the backyard my dog instantly ran towards the trees and started to bark. I looked up at the trees and saw a purplish-colored humanoid figure about 6 feet tall with wings. The creature most likely saw me, and it climbed through the trees and bushes and attempted to fly up, but it couldn’t since the trees were so thick. I ran up the stairs to the balcony and watched my dog continue to bark. The creature had disappeared so I was worried about where it had gone.

I’m not sure what happened after this as my memory is quite foggy of this incident, but I’m guessing that I ran inside and hid.

I have no idea what this was, but I was intrigued by the winged humanoid sightings in the Chicago area and thought I'd write you. The shade of this being was distinctly purple in color and the membrane wings were bat-shaped. The head was fairly large compared to the body, but that was the extent of any details that I could see. It never made any sounds. I didn't see the wings fully unfurled." C

Can Meditation Enhance Perception?

By James Hirlehey - (submission): Most people believe that everything that exists is there for a reason and fits within the limits of rational thinking. We forget that this is just a belief, a paradigm determined by the time in which we live.

This rationale is considered powerful enough to explain everything without resorting to less tangible elements, such as God. The universe is conceived as a mechanism, formed by assembled pieces, which can be dissected, analyzed, and finally comprehended.

The popular belief is that human beings have the power to understand creation and the wider universe. Everything follows a logical process and, therefore can be framed within the same parameters described above. Therefore, everything that the prevailing scientific paradigm hasn’t been able to decipher must be, logically speaking, nonexistent or false.

Religions and traditions, on the contrary, have guided us from ancient times; it is very much a modern concept to believe that everything must fit and be easily explained. Though traditions may not be entirely plausible, they still point to ideas that stretch the limits of contemporary thinking.

Just as the senses have limits to comprehending reality which can be fooled by an illusion, human reason also can be challenged. Here’s where meditation is a useful tool to venture beyond the boundaries of normal thinking, leading to new knowledge and expansion of understanding.

Meditation breaks the conventional limits that force people to comprehend via a process of scientific evaluation only. This method of relaxation opens the senses to an infinite universe full of new realities.

A new level of perception:

When you are in the habit of meditating, you may "see things" during a session. What you "see" can be a product of your mind letting itself go and creating images from all the elements that are present in your day-to-day life. Conversely, you may also be perceiving a response to stimuli, whether it’s an emotion, an energy, or a smell; sometimes a memory may be triggered at an unexpected moment.

Practicing yoga and meditation helps to seek the balance of mind, body, and spirit. By silencing intrusive thoughts, and lowering the stressful noise of everyday life, it’s possible to reach inner peace. A perfect state of silence and full connection with the environment, some call it enlightenment. When all that peripheral noise has been shut down, there’s the potential for perception to expand making space for new ideas and thoughts.

When meditating, Buddhists manage to minimize their brain activity, eliminating sensory stimuli, thoughts, memories, and mental processes that occur even during sleep. The normal activity can act as a blindfold for other levels of perception and understanding.

Intense meditation causes brain changes known as neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and transform according to the stimuli it receives. During stress, the brain returns to a more primitive type of speech. Analyzing Buddhist monks’ brain activity during meditation scientists have been able to record the transition of conscious states. This includes the brain whilst alert as well as in a more relaxed and receptive state. The last phase achieved for those with great meditative skills is a state that can be considered as a deep rest without being asleep, silencing all the voices, and reaching inner peace.

Meditation can alter your perception to a new way of seeing and communicating with the energies in the environment. These visions may contain Jungian archetypes, mandalas, numbers, and even messages from the angelic cohorts. Establishing contact with the unconscious means getting in touch with your own darkness and repressed desires. Such hidden aspects are part of the accumulated energy within yourself which can also provide messages for self-improvement, forgiveness, and perhaps, from the beyond.

During the night many people are more perceptive to the energies that surround them. Some even report feeling someone else lying in their bed, or just watching them from the door frame. Some claim to feel presence mainly during long meditation sessions.

What should I do?

If you have been able to establish some level of connection with paranormal energies or have empowered your third eye and begun to have new perceptions of the world around you, you may have managed to ascend to a higher level of consciousness.

It is often believed that these perceptions are only "felt" by certain types of persons but you are always surrounded by this energy. However, it’s sometimes possible to lack the spiritual maturity to accept them, or the decision to accept their meaning. Meditation can be a tool powerful enough to provoke a consciousness rebirth of individuals whether they are gifted or not.

If during your meditation you start to sense blurry images, symbols, or forms, keep calm and let yourself register all the energy you’re surrounded by. Analyze the images, shapes, or figures that appear to understand the message you’re receiving during meditation.

In conclusion:

People who experience this type of perception or have recurring sensations shouldn’t be frightened. Instead, they should seek to deepen and sharpen the sensations and thus develop the latent extrasensory power they have.

Paranormal events are merely scientifically unexplained phenomena that end up being studied by parapsychology. There are many branches of knowledge devoted to the study of those subtle but powerful connections that occur when we develop a different level of perception, like telepathy, tarot reading, psychic abilities, remembering past lives, and reaching beyond.

Do Departed Family & Friends Manifest As Living Animals In Order To Communicate?

An experiencer contacted me about a recent sighting of a huge white-tailed deer that seemed to want her attention. Was it a sign from her deceased grandfather? She has had other experiences.

I received the following account:

"I’m from a small town in northern Wisconsin. I live out in a wooded area and last night 11/9/2023, I saw a huge white-tailed deer. How it got my attention it blew twice at me but, the minute it got my attention it turned around and kicked up its hind legs before disappearing. I didn’t see it come in or leave. No matter how windy or dark it is, I can always make one out due to the yard light or my garage lights. This one was so hard to make out until it turned around.

My grandpa used to love to hunt whether it was deer or moose. Could it maybe have been him in the form of a buck to let me know everything is okay? Researching why it happened to me was confusing till I saw someone else who experienced this before me. Could it be a message to stay focused?

I love deer and even before then, I saw a black wolf with tipped silver hair that glistened with blue eyes. I remember falling to my knees while it just sat at the end of my yard and then lying down by me. Could have that been the dog I lost as well. Is God sending me my animals for the steady reassurance that it will be okay?" BC

NOTE: This type of phenomenon does occur, and I have heard and read several similar instances. I asked the writer if she had any First Nations heritage since most of the accounts that I have been made aware of are from native descendants. Very interesting account. Lon

Whitish-Yellow 'BIG CAT' Reportedly Shot in West-Central Georgia

A west-central Georgia resident contacted me about a cryptid big cat that he had seen as a boy. His brother later shot and killed the big cat, described as whitish-yellow, with huge long teeth and 3 feet long.

I received the following account:

"Hello, Mr. Strickler. I heard one of your previous appearances on the Coast to Coast AM program in which you talked about cryptids, and you mentioned Wampus Cats. Well, I grew up in west-central Georgia right on the Georgia/Alabama line. We lived out in the country and had a swamp down behind our house.

I had a dog named Silver Chief. When he was a puppy I was a baby. We grew up together. I had graduated high school when he died. Anyway, that dog was not afraid of anything man or beast. We had been having some chickens killed at night and thought it might be a fox or something.

One night I heard the chicken hollering so I grabbed a flashlight and a .22 rifle and ran to the chicken house. It was dark but I saw a huge, white cat-like creature jump over the chicken wire fence. It was 7 feet high! I went in and there were six dead chickens.

It was not long after that on another night I heard my dog barking. I could tell by his bark he had something treed. All of a sudden he screamed and ran back to the house. He had never run from anything. My brother got the .22 and walked up into the woods. He was walking around and heard claws scratching on tree bark. He looked up right into the eyes of what we called a Wampus Cat. It was getting ready to pounce on him. My brother who was an excellent hunter just threw the rifle barrel up without taking time to aim and shot the cat right through the head.

He brought the cat home and I had never seen anything like it. It was solid yellow/white colored. Had long 3 or 4-inch fur, and a tail about 4 or 5 inches long. Even with the short tail, it was 3 feet long from nose to tail. We skinned him, salted his skin, and stretched it on the barn door.

I remember that we used to hear it screaming in the swamp at night. Sometimes it sounded like a woman screaming and sometimes it sounded like a baby crying.

I have never seen anything like it before or since. It had huge teeth that had grooves in the gums and lips on the opposite of the teeth. It had huge feet.

Leesport, Pennsylvania: 'I Summoned a UFO & Was Visited by Alien 'GREYS'

An experiencer recalls an incident in which he believes that he actually summoned a UFO, subsequently visited by alien 'Greys' at his bedside. He had one more visit a few nights later.

I received the following account:

"I am now 33 years old but would like to submit in regards to some events that occurred
when I was 14 years old, starting on the day before Thanksgiving (November 24, 2004) in Leesport, Pennsylvania. I have decided to go public about the terrifying things that have happened.

It was a strange day on November 24, 2004, I caught a glimpse of a TV show talking about a man who can practically "summon" UFOs. I was skeptical, even at a young age, but thought that since it was my own voice inside of my own head, it would save me the embarrassment if I gave it a try. I basically asked to meet the pilots of these strange craft and learn about the vehicles and how they work.

A couple of hours later I was shocked to see a report on a separate channel, a news channel, that there was a UFO spotted over Reading, Pennsylvania, only minutes from where we lived at the time.

A few hours later in the middle of the night, I had been awakened, terrified by two alien beings, commonly referred to as "the Greys" standing in front of me, staring at me at my bedside. I don't know how they did it, but they had woken me up telepathically somehow. I clearly remember the red capital letters "wake up" flashing before my closed eyelids and an alarm-like buzzing inside of my head in an intense vibration. It woke me up immediately, and when I saw them in front of me, one that was closer to me was much taller than the other. I immediately panicked, throwing the blankets over myself and trying to calm my respiration and heart rate, I waited and waited for them to leave. It was sheer terror and the scariest night of my life. I heard feet rustling on the carpet, and as daylight began to break, I took a cautious peek to see that they had left.

A few nights later, I had an urge to watch television on a late school night. My stepmom used to hide the remote in an office drawer in the kitchen. I'm not sure what had caused the urge to watch TV at such an odd hour, I suppose I was still shaken from a few nights prior. I had come to notice that the remote was nowhere to be found in the drawer, so I had looked around the countertop, turned around, and skimmed the countertop of the kitchen island, only to see the same creature from nights before standing outside of the kitchen window, staring at me. Startled, I must have jumped 3 feet in the air and ran out of the kitchen and up the steps to my bedroom.

That same night I had a strange and vivid nightmare of my blankets being lifted into the air and being dragged out of my bed by the ankles by the hands of two shorter Greys, then being returned to my bed and watching them leave through a strange pink portal in the wall. I have not had any further encounters." J

Group Encounters YELLOW-EYED CRYPTID CANINE in Niagara Falls, Ontario

A group of friends was driving around Niagara Falls, Ontario. On the way to their destination, they observed a large creature hunched over. They soon realize that this is not an ordinary animal.

I received the following account:

"This occurred during the Christmas break of 2012. My friends and I were out for a late-night cruise catching up after being away at college. We were headed to one of our favourite places to visit, Screaming Tunnel just inside the city limits of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

We were at the intersection of Warner Rd and Garner Rd when we saw in the yard of the property across from us a large creature hunched over on all fours. There was a fair amount of snow on the ground so we could only make out the outline of the creature but it was massive. Much larger than coyotes, deer, or anything you usually encounter in the area. The other thing that struck me was the eyes. Even though this creature was mostly shrouded in shadow you could see the bright yellow eyes. It gave me a very eerie feeling.

We continued down the road and when we arrived we got out to look around as usual. We felt very uneasy like we were being watched, and even though they never said anything I could tell by the looks on my friend's faces that they were feeling the same thing I was and that we needed to get the hell out of there fast. We piled in the car and took off at a good clip, the eerie sense that we were being watched followed us all the way down Warner Rd until we turned back onto the main road (Taylor Rd).

That was the first and only time I could say I felt like my life was in imminent danger. Even to this day when I go back, I keep a very close eye on my surroundings. DMM - St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada"

Loggers' Possible 'DOGMAN' Encounter in Clatsop County, Oregon

A logger and his friend were clearing trees for a private landowner in Northwest Oregon. They decided to camp in the woods for the night. That was a decision that they both regretted!

I received the following account:

"I'm a logger living in Northwest Oregon. I've lived here my entire life; these woods are my home. My father and my grandfather were loggers and I took over the family business after they retired.

A private landowner liked how we conducted business and we provided him light arborist work as well. Recently, he had some old trees that he wanted us to take down. It was an easy job. My buddy and I set to work and ended up cutting well into the night, so we decided to just make camp for the night and pick up first thing in the morning. That way it would be out of our hair and we could just keep it moving. I pitched a tent for us while my friend made the fire. We spent a few hours telling jokes and drinking until we decided to get some shut-eye.

The tent ended up being a bit warm so I decided to sleep out under the stars. It was a beautiful summer night and the stars were always more visible out here in the woods. So eventually the sound of the wind and the swaying of the trees lulled me to sleep.

I woke up a few hours later. It was pitch dark. The stars weren't out anymore and the wind was no longer blowing in the trees. Everything was very still. It felt like it happened in an instant, like I blinked and this stillness set in all at once. In the distance, I heard a strange noise, a loud blood-curdling roar echoing through the forest. All my hair stood up on end as I reached for my flashlight. When I clicked it on it was super bright. I beamed directly into the deep woods and the roar happened again and that's when the breeze picked up. I crawled over to the tent to kick it so my friend would wake up.

I heard him rustling inside as he slowly unzipped the tent and he's white as a sheet. I know just from his face that he had also heard the roar. We both know what bears sound like and we know how to handle them. We were scared but also curious. Only a very large creature could make a noise like this. I reckoned it was much bigger than a bear.

Then, in the next moment, a tree fell about a hundred or so yards from camp. It was a big old tree. It slammed into another tree and it fell that one too. My friends looked at me dead in the eyes and slowly he raised his flashlight in the direction of the fallen tree. He turned it on. There it was! This creature was huge, much bigger than a bear. It was on all fours like a bear and it had that similar giant head but this creature had very sparse dark fur and lots of light-colored bare skin! I could see its muscles shifting and, whatever it was, it fell two trees like they were nothing!

The creature roared once again and turned in our direction. It stared into the glare of our flashlight and, to our shock, started running at us! We glanced at each other and quickly climbed a nearby tree. Luckily we got up there before the creature noticed where we went! We heard it tearing through the tent and the campsite for what seemed like hours. There we stayed until the sun rose and brightened the dark woods.

We had no idea where the creature had gone. When we looked down our tent and our campsite it was torn to shreds. It looked like a whole pack of bears descended on it rather than just one large one!

We slowly moved down the tree, watching around the area as we descended. We gathered whatever stuff we could salvage, then walked as quickly and quietly back to our truck as we could. I drove directly home. I don't know what it was but it could have killed us and anyone else that got in its way!

Looking back at the encounter, and after talking to my friend, we believe that it may have been what some people refer to as a Dogman. The human-like way it appeared was not only shocking but totally confusing. I just don't have any other explanation as to what this creature was!" L

NOTE: After contacting the witness he did tell me that the encounter occurred in Clatsop County in June 2023. I asked if he could provide more details on the description of the beast. He was reluctant to do so. I honestly believe that he is still in shock over the encounter, and probably did not pick up on more specific characteristics since it occurred so quickly. Because of his business and the possible ridicule that he would receive if he were associated with the incident, he didn't offer further information. Lon

BIGFOOT-LIKE Creature Reported Roaming West Yorkshire, UK

A West Yorkshire resident is walking their dog along a farm lane that they were familiar with when the dog suddenly begins to bark. The witness then observes a massive upright hairy creature.

I received the following account:

"It has taken me a long time to come forward with what happened to me that day, but I feel that I am ready to finally tell all. It happened years ago in the month of October back in 1998. I and my family lived in a rural area of West Yorkshire in a village called Bramham. It's a countryside area, with lots of farms, a quarry, and some rivers and streams. I liked to walk my dog around the lanes and tracks as it was a way for me to wind down and get some air.

I had finished work on that particular evening. I'm out walking with my dog down a long farm track, a route we often take. It was early evening so it was about 8 pm and it had gotten dark. I and the dog are just walking along. I let the dog off the lead so he could have a run as we were about half a mile up this single farm track by then and there were no animals or people around, so I let him have a sniff around. As I walked the dog was just doing his own thing. It was quiet with no sign of anyone around. I was enjoying the walk, there are hedges on both sides of the track the whole way so it's hard to see clearly into the fields, and there are some woods to one side of me. As we walked even further along the track the dog suddenly stopped, he froze and looked up the track in the direction we were walking.

He must be aware of something up there as he starts growling and acting all strange, his hackles are up and he growls continuously. At that point, I thought it must be a fox, which is the way he'd acted before if we came across one. So I'm looking at the track to try and see a fox. I can't see anything anywhere. No fox, no cat, or any other animal. I can see how worked up he is, as now he is going mad and starts barking loudly. I had carried on walking so by this point he was a short way behind me. So I turn to the dog to try and calm him but he won't stop, if anything he's getting worse. Something had really spooked him so I turned to look up the track and I couldn't believe my eyes.

Standing there looking at us was this thing. A massive creature stood there looking back in our direction. It must have walked between 8 to 9-foot steps out onto the field track before I had seen it, and now I can see it clearly and it can see us. At this point, I was in complete shock at what I was seeing. I kept thinking, "It can't be real." I honestly don't think my brain could process what I was seeing, because standing there on the field track was a huge creature of some kind. It was massively built and was about 5 feet wide across the shoulders and about 8 feet tall. I couldn't make out any facial features as the face was in shadow, but I could make out that it was covered in hair. It was standing about 30 meters from me so I could see it clearly but I could not make out any features even from that distance. It made no sound and I never smelled or heard anything.

To my disbelief at that moment the dog runs straight towards it, the dog's barking as he runs in its direction. But the dog stopped about 15 meters away from this thing, he was clearly scared and just didn't know how to react. He had completely forgotten about me and that's a first for my dog. Usually, he would put my needs first, and maybe that was what he was doing as he was by now in between me and this creature. But I could tell I was the last thing on his mind at this point. The dog barks a few more times then he turns and runs straight past me and back up the farm track to safety the way we came in. No doubt now you can imagine how stunned I was.

The whole incident lasted only seconds and I just stood there paralyzed and trying to process what I had just seen. I must have been in shock, because of what I did next I did without conscious thought, and I can't explain why I did it. But as I stood there looking at this creature I nodded my head quickly and I said, "Alright" to it (I know that's crazy but that's what I did). Then I just calmly turned around and started walking back down the field track after my dog, all the time listening for this creature coming behind me. I was completely sh*tting myself. I think I acted without thinking as I never looked back up that track until I got to the dog and I couldn't see anything in the field anymore when I did.

I didn't report this for years and years until other people came forward in secret and started to share their accounts online with each other. I had no idea what a Bigfoot was back then. Now years on from seeing them online, I can say without doubt it looked like it was an exact match. I have spoken with this witness on numerous occasions, and I did get in touch this week to let him know another person had come forward from the same area." BR

'GLIMMER MAN' Encountered in Adirondack Mountains Backyard

An Adirondack Mountains resident describes their encounter with a 'Glimmer Man' while sitting in the backyard and watching their kids in the pool. The witness is shocked by the sighting.

"I wanted to share my account regarding a 'Predator-like' being. It was sometime around 2006 or 2007 and my kids and my friends were having a campfire in the yard right outside our home. We live outside of our town and have wooded areas all around us, on the edge of the Adirondack Mountains in New York. Off the deck of the house was a fire ring with a small above-ground pool. Next to that, our property is lined with white pine trees which are quite big and very branchy. The woods behind the pool go back quite a ways and the pine trees are continuous to the woods.

I had just brought out marshmallows for the fire and sat in a chair with my back to the side of the property with the trees leading to the woods. To my right, it was light out and I sat listening to the chatter from the kids while gazing into the woods trying to relax. There was no wind or breeze and it was a very quiet night.

I noticed a movement in the trees to my right, up in the branches that were just behind the pool. I stared at the area because I saw something move but nothing was there. As I stared I started to see some kind of movement but it was like the branches and pine needles moved instead of an animal or being which didn't make sense. I watched for about a minute when the movement leaped, for lack of a better word, to the next tree that was closer to us. There was no noise and no swaying of branches like one would expect if there was weight on the tree.

As I watched I noticed that I was seeing pixels, like in a digital picture, moving. I made out the shape of something that had arms and legs and a head but not quite human-like. This shape was hunched down on the branch with one arm holding the tree trunk. The legs bent like it was squatting and it felt like we were being watched even though I could see no face or any other description. It was just pixelated movements in the shape of a being. It had moved closer to us and was in the tree on our side of the pool now.

When I realized how close it was I told the kids it was time to go inside. They fussed a bit but I insisted they go inside. Right then my son saw me looking up in the trees and asked what I was looking at and, of course, told him that it was nothing. I did not take my eyes off the shape and as soon as the kids got out and moved up and moved toward the deck to go inside, the shape moved from the branch. It was moving back to the tree where I first noticed it. The movement was so fast, so effortless, and so silent that I got scared. Then it vanished into the woods, moving from tree limb to tree limb, and was gone in a matter of seconds. Nothing. I know of no creature that can move like that and I know of nothing that fits that description.

I've never seen it again and we still live in the same house. We all have eerie feelings about the woods behind the house and that feeling remains with us to this day. Anytime we walk through the wooded area we have sections of the woods that we do not venture into for no apparent reason except for that uneasy feeling we all get."

MEN IN BLACK ENCOUNTERS: Calls Received By Art Bell on Coast to Coast - PART II

This post includes callers' accounts presented during a 1997 episode of Coast to Coast in which host Art Bell interviewed author Jim Keith.

HOMELESS ENCOUNTER

1993 – Tigard, Oregon, USA

A man claims that in 1993, he was homeless living in the woods with three or four other people, by some railroad tracks in Tigard. They had two tents which they shared. For about three nights, a bunch of very strange things happened. On the first night, they observed a “humongous, red, orange ball of light hit the ground” in the woods near their location. He claims that the area lit right up. “light went everywhere.” The object made no sound. For some reason, they decided to go to sleep. “Which was kind of weird because seeing something that bright would make us wake up,” the caller told Art. Things would only get stranger as the night went on. “I heard some footsteps, and leaves crunching and twigs snapping and I woke up Tom. He woke up. I said, 'Did you hear that?' He said, 'No'. He was awake but he was asleep. And he said, 'Just go back to sleep'. And then it happened again and it got loud and it ended up brushing against the tent.” Art Bell decided to constantly interrupt him at this point and the man only managed to get out that a black vehicle pulled up to their location and began to do surveillance on them. The vehicle, oddly, did not give off a reflection. He described them as dressed all in black, with niceties. They were taking pictures of them. The thing that the witnesses found to be odd was, how did they know? They had not told anybody about what happened.

Art Bell interrupted him about a dozen times throughout and even Jim Keith began to get frustrated as the story was very intriguing. I got the sense that Bell wasn't much interested in hearing what a homeless man had to say.

WHITE SANDS LIGHT

1984 - White Sands, New Mexico, USA

A caller (no name given) dialed up the Coast to Coast show with Art Bell circa 1997. He claims that the event happened in 1984 when he was 8 years old. He currently resides in Oklahoma but the event in question happened when he lived with his mother and father in White Sands, New Mexico. His mother was in the army and his stepfather worked as a photographer. His birth father was a military police. They lived on the base. “One day we were out playing in the backyard. I had a tether ball. I was beating the tether ball around and my stepfather was cooking steaks. And if you know anything about White Sands, the houses are like right next to the mountain, and the mountain range. Right there in the Rockies. And it was about 5:30 at night, 6:30 at night, something like that. It was right before dusk. A couple of hours before dusk during the summer. A white light started coming from the left side of the mountain and ran to the right side, south to north, and stopped and shot in the middle of the mountains. Our neighbor said he saw it because everybody was cooking out. It was one of those days. My mother ran in and called the military police. And she came back and said that the person was really rude and really fast talking and she said that they had been flooded with calls about this. They said, 'Don't worry about this, it's probably nothing'. About an hour later, there's a mountain road, a mountain pass road that goes right over the mountain and it just leads all the way up and goes all the way down the other side. We saw a caravan of trucks, a big flatbed truck and little vans and little things like that, army, coming from the base, going over the pass, and about an hour after that, there was something on the flatbed truck under a cover. And we could see it, all of us. I mean it's a really small place. White Sands, right beside the road. and then I was playing tether-ball later that night because we had already eaten and stuff. And I looked inside and my mom and my dad were talking to a man in a black suit and a black tie and this other guy was in an army suit. It reminded me of a 50s sci-fi movie. It was like an escort or something. I could just see them sitting on the living room couch and I could see them talking and I was outside playing tetherball. I just cared about the tether ball. My mom was really freaked out about the light. She was talking to me the whole night about it. And she came back out and I was like, 'Who are those people?' and she said, 'Some people I work with', and she was talking to me and she said the light was just another of the war games they are playing up on the mountain.” The man was adamant that what he saw was not something conventional. “This light was not a war game!”

THAT NIGHT THE UFO LANDED IN THE GRAVEYARD

June 1975 - Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Linda claimed that in the first week of June 1975, she was visiting her parent's house when she observed something bizarre. “I was at my mother's house. My first child was about five months old. My dad, my brother, and my husband were all watching something on the TV and it was getting towards her bedtime and she was getting fussy and I wanted to go to my future sister-in-law. I decided to walk out into the front yard with her and try to keep her quiet. We were sitting out in our front yard and my sister-in-law was the first one to notice the light and she said, 'Look'. And where this was North Omaha and the way the airplanes come into North Omaha is they come around from the north to what is called Eppy Airfield. And she said, 'Look at that airplane Linda, doesn't that have odd colored landing lights?' And I looked at them and they were orange. They weren't white, they were orange. And I said I don't think planes have orange landing lights. And it got over an area of a cemetery which was half a mile to a mile from my parent's house. And we stood there and it stopped dead. It was round, it was circular. And it stopped dead over the cemetery. It stopped straight over the cemetery, where the cemetery was. It turned different colors. It turned orange to blue, green, and then it turned an absolute blood red. And it looked like it settled into the cemetery. Judy and I stood there and watched this horrified. And we went back into the house and we told everybody what we'd seen and my dad said, 'Let's go up and drive along the back side of the cemetery. The name of the street is Pate (sounds like Pate?) Street, and he said, 'We'll see if we can see anything'. So we drove up there, drove up and down and we didn't see anything and went home. The next morning was like a Saturday morning and my husband and I used to go over and have coffee with my parents on Saturday mornings. And we were over there and my dad said, 'Where did this thing come down now, you say?' I said. 'It was the highest point in the cemetery' and he said, 'Well, why don't we drive up there just in case and look around'. And so my mother, my dad, I, my 21-year-old brother and my husband and my baby and I and we went up there and we got to where we thought was the highest point in the cemetery and from where we were we could see a straight shot to my parent's house. Everything was flat up there. It was like there was an intersection, like a crossroads-like place. Anyway, we all got out of my father's car and we had been there for maybe thirty seconds looking around. And there was a fresh grave over to the side and you know how they lay the flowers down onto the grave? All these flowers were blown all over the place. All of a sudden, from nowhere, we had no idea where appears this car and it was an old black car. My dad said it was maybe an old Packard or something like that, or Dodge or something. But it looked like from that point, this one guy, the guy that was the driver, just got out and stood by the car and the other guy started coming around and came over and said... it seemed so surreal. And the guy asked us, 'What business do you have here? And my dad said, 'We were just looking around'. And he said, 'If you have no further business here, leave immediately!' They had WW2 clothes on not black suits. They had sunglasses, though. “Since then we have gone up there and that area does not look like it did then,” she told Bell. Apparently somebody 'cleaned' up the graveyard.

Art Bell seemed intent on shutting down her story as he began to interrupt right after she mentioned the cemetery. His interruptions would continue throughout the remainder of her story. By the end, Bell was very dismissive, saying “Thanks Miss, but I don't think this is what we are looking for...Thanks anyway.”

DRAMATIC WEIGHT LOSS

1985 – Ventura, Pennsylvania, USA

Dave, a caller, claims that he was a truck driver, driving through Georgia one night when he observed a flatbed truck carrying a large object. “This thing had no cockpit, no jet propulsion. It had US government property written on the cable.” He further observed some trucks being driven by what he believed to be government personnel. In 1985, he was in Ventura, Pennsylvania visiting his friends. He was around 18 years of age at the time. He had gone to bed at 8:00 p.m. He was awoken out of his sleep at midnight. Somebody was standing over top of him. “He reached out to me and in a split second he was gone,” Dave told Art Bell. “The person had a black tuxedo top on, overcoat, with long sleeves. And when he reached out to me, I was so startled that I looked around and he was gone.” Dave claims that he attempted to tell his friends who dismissed it as a dream. When Dave returned home, he was shocked to find out that somehow he had lost 20 pounds overnight. He had weighed himself before leaving (it was always a consistent weight) and somehow he had lost 20 pounds in the span of a single night. He told doctors and friends of the strange weight loss but they dismissed it.

TAKING INVENTORY

Late 1970s – San Jose, California, USA

Richard Rim, San Jose, California claims that in the late 1970s, he was working for an electronics company and had a strange encounter with some MIBs. “I worked for shipping and receiving. I was taking inventory and I was standing on top of these palates. I fell through it and I fell sideways and I broke my ankle,” Richard told Art Bell. “I was stuck there and I looked up and I saw these two guys in black. One was short and it looked like they were taking inventory on me. I was yelling, 'Why aren't you helping me!?! Why aren't you helping me!?!' It was like a dream. I couldn't see any faces but I could see they were all in black. Next thing I know, one of these guys comes running over, one of the guys that works with me. I'm a big guy, I'm about 270 pounds, 6 foot 2. He lifted me right up and m my ankle was broken. It was dangling and these guys were gone. I definitely saw these guys.”

THE MEN IN THE ALLEY

1996 - Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

In 1996, Mark, an artist, was putting on a sci-fi art show called 'Stranger than Outer Space' at the Vancouver Planetarium. The show featured the work of 50 artists and was attended by 1500 people on opening night, While not the central focus, the show tended to lean towards the alien abduction phenomenon. Right after Mark started out press releases for the show, weird things started to happen. His girlfriend, Jody, woke up one night to see tall black figures looking down on her. Also, it seemed somebody was entering their apartment when they weren't home Windows was found open in the dead of winter, and furniture was moved. At first, they brushed it off as their imagination but eventually, they realized that something very strange was going on. After the showing, Mark decided to take some time off and relax. One night he was at home painting when his girlfriend, Jody, called him over to the window. “Come have a look at this,” she told him. Just then, the phone rang. It was one of the other painters from the art show. He began telling me about a strange dream he had had about a saucer. Jody looked over at me and said, 'They just disappeared'. She had a look on her face that I'll never forget. I ran to the window and saw they were gone. She said, 'Not gone but disappeared.'
