Profile Pages
I got a good start on the profile tables. If you’ve browsed through them in the last couple of days, you would have noticed that they all have blank tables on them. I made up the tables first and now I’m filling in the information. After the tables are finished, I’ll add the personal interest/history, etc below. The person I asked to create images for some of the species has almost finished them and I should get to see them on Monday. I can’t wait. It’s back to my second job tomorrow. Ugh. Staying awake is a real challenge.

Character Pages
HaHaHa! I did it! The biggest hang up for the character/species/kingdoms/etc was that I couldn’t figure out how to get a separate menu in the sidebar and make the table fit. I finally did it! We’re on our way. I’m going to make up a bunch of tables tonight before I go to bed and fill them in later. After they’re filled in, it’s just a matter of adding history/personal info and they’ll be done.
I troubleshot the registration today too. If you tried to sign up and had an issue, it’s been fixed. Fill out the registration form and then log in. That’s it. I got rid of the email verification. As far as the profile pictures are concerned, you have to sign up with gravatar.com to have an avatar. That is temporary. I tried to change that today but the link for the upgrade was broken. I’ve notified the company and should be able to upgrade soon. With the upgrade also comes several new features to the forum: a lounge, uploading your own profile pics, events, user albums, groups, Facebook status, alerts and notifications, email reply for notifications and RSS feeds.
The last issue on my plate (this week) is the images not displaying on the mobile site. According to the tech at my provider, they are visible (just not to me or anyone I know). She said that it was a network issue. In other words, it’s Verizon’s fault. Maybe, we’ll see. I’m waiting to hear back from someone that has another provider.
Something else I did today was send out emails to reviewers for Amazon. Hopefully some of them will agree to review my book. I’ll just have to wait and see.

Ring of Truth
I just posted the new cover and a little summary of Ring of Truth. The image on the front is really cool. Now I just have to write the damn thing. What’s the hold up? This website is giving me fits. It’s one thing after another.
The latest issue is the mobile site won’t display any images. It’s really ticking me off. The service I’m using has a chat for support, which I tried today. I asked for help with getting the images to display and the guy asked a couple of questions and then must have gone home for the day because he never said another word. Nice, huh? I think I’ll give up on it for now and concentrate on the profile pages. Maybe by the time I get back to it, I won’t get Oscar the ‘Oh So Helpful Tech’ on the other end.
The Eau Claire Library got back to me today. LOL. That was fun. She congratulated me on publishing my book and said she would be watching the reviews on Amazon. Sure she will. It sounds like thanks but no thanks to me. A library turns up their nose at donated books? Shelf space must be at a premium over there. Enough of my sour grapes. Time for bed. Miss Abby will be here tomorrow, bright and early! Nighty-night.

Libraries and Bookstores
My big success story for the day was a local bookstore located at 706 E. Grand in Chippewa Falls. Truth’s Evil Light is now available at the Book Cellar. Stop in and talk to Jo, she’s a very nice lady, and she’ll set you up. The Chippewa Falls Public Library also has a copy but I’m not sure when it will be available for check-out. It sounded as if they wanted to do a reading (eek). I don’t know if I could do that without my voice shaking and sounding like a complete idiot. Worse yet, what if no one showed up?
Anyway, I spent the morning, running around. I dropped off a copy of Truth’s Evil Light at the Chippewa Falls High School and they are going to preview it and let me know if they’ll make it available to the students. I should hear back by Friday. The only thing I’m worried about with that is the F-bombs. There’s quite a few. I’m not sure where on the PG-R rating system my book would fall or if it even matters. An email has been sent to the librarian at the Eau Claire library and I’m waiting to hear back from her. Now I have to try to get Evil Light reviewed by real reviewers. Wish me luck.

My Books are here!
My books are here, my books are here! I can hit the libraries and schools now. That’s great. I only got the email that they were shipped yesterday. That must have been one fast truck.
Two days in and two more to go. I overslept this morning, so I guess I did catch up on some sleep after all. Oh, and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Estelle! Hope you had a good one Estrella.
