Ring of Truth Progress Update
I’m almost finished with chapter 3 (roughly 12 pages out of 16 are done). Tomorrow, I am going to go back through it again and do a few rewrites and then I’ll finish it up. Yep, rewrites already. It’s a pivotal chapter and I’m a linear-pantser. If you don’t know what that means, you’re not alone. I made it up–kind of. Linear means that I write from beginning to end and follow an outline. A pantser is a writer that has no idea what is going to happen until they write it and creates a story in scenes, with no particular order. I do a little of both, so I combined the two names.
When I write a story, I have a solid idea where I want to start, end and the other plots paths but that’s it. I work from a skeletal outline and add the ‘meat’ of the story as I go or in rewrites. The way I see it is that you don’t know what you would do in any given situation until you are faced with it. I throw things at my characters and ‘see’ what they do. Sometimes it takes the whole story in a new direction or opens a new door that I had never considered. I love open doors. They make everything possible.

It’s On
It’s official. I’m back to writing Ring of Truth, book 2 in the Cheveyo Series. Today, I’m working on Chapter 3. The end of February is probably a bit optimistic for a deadline but we’ll see. I have another week off in the middle of the month, so I hope to make a lot of headway then. Gotta get back to it. Cya.

Our Pathetic Tree
This was sooo… I don’t know but I had to share. After last Christmas, my husband and I came across a sale on pre-lit X-mas trees. They were super-cheap and we had wanted a pre-lit tree for a long time, so we bought one. We didn’t see the point in getting a huge one so we opted for the 4 foot tree and took it home, storing it in the basement until yesterday. My daughter drug it upstairs and opened the box for the first time. There were 2 trees in the box. I thought ‘BONUS!’ Then I saw them. My daughter put the ornaments on with care (or the “tree” would fall over from the weight) and we laughed ourselves blue. Absolutely pathetic!

I’m Done!!!
*Happy Dance* I’m done, I’m done, I’m done! The website is done! I can’t believe it. I had to force myself through the last few pages but I made it. I only have to add a few pictures when the artist is finished with them. Of course there is more to do but it’s done enough to leave sit while I work on Ring of Truth. YAY!!!! I thought I’d never finish. Come Monday morning, I’ll re-start on Ring of Truth. Yippee! I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
Tomorrow, my daughter and I are going to see Breaking Dawn II. It was my favorite book out of the series. It should be good.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! There are so many things to be grateful for this year. The top of the list is my wonderful family. Love you guys! We had a good day. No major catastrophes in the kitchen. I forgot to cook the pumpkin pies last night. They were left out until the hubby got home from work this morning. Picture three frozen, liquid filled pies stacked on top of each other. When they thawed, they dropped down inside the one underneath. What a mess. Thankfully, they were inside zip-lock bags. Once the filling made it back into the shells, they cooked up fine. (We just ignored the burnt crust.)
I’ve been working feverishly on the website. I’m determined to finish this week. We’re really close. The species pages need notes at the bottom and I forgot to add 3 characters from Ring of Truth. That’s notes for 22 pages and 3 tables and I’m done, until Ring of Truth is finished. The total page count is 142. No one should get bored, that’s for sure. I did run into a problem with the comments. Apparently, the spammers found my site. It was getting ridiculous, so I had to make the comments member only. I really didn’t want to do that but… Anyway, I should be back to writing again very, very soon. YAY!!!!

The Verdict
Hi everybody! I’ve been mulling over what to do at the end of the month. If you read my blog on the 7th, you know it wasn’t set in stone. Well, I made up my mind. What’s my decision? Fuck it. I’m going for broke. So I’ll be back on the blog, bugging everybody again. I’m off of work for the next 11 days, so I’m also going to finish the website enough to get back to writing Ring of Truth. Barring any more issues, I should be able to do that, no sweat.
Truth’s Tuesday went very well last week. The total number of TEL books in people’s hands has risen to 428. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. Right now, what I need is reviews. Please! When Amazon sends you the email to review my book, don’t delete it. A couple of lines about what you liked or didn’t like would help a lot. Thanks!
