Chippewa Falls Library

Hi everybody. I finally heard back from the Chippewa Falls Public Library. Here is the email…

I want to thank you for dropping off a copy of your newest book at the library. At this time our selector felt it didn’t fit into our collection.

Your book will be at the Information Desk for you to pick up at your convenience. If that doesn’t work, I would be happy to mail it to you.

Good luck with your book!

So… I haven’t had a good couple of days, which is why I haven’t been all over the blog (I don’t want to rain all over your day). That and Miss Abby was here today. Anyway, I’m seriously considering giving up and pulling the book. It’s not just the libraries. There’s more that I don’t really want to share. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet but I wanted to let you know that it’s a possibility. For the next few days, I’m working, so I won’t be online. One way or the other, I’ll let you know.

Volume One

Volume OneVolume One The Local Store is now on the list of places to find Truth’s Evil Light. Yay! If you’re in Eau Claire, stop in. Besides my book, they have tons of neat stuff. They will also be doing a write up on my book in a future issue of the magazine. I’m looking forward to seeing that.

I’m voter #394 for the 6th Ward (for all the good it will do). I hope you all got a chance to vote. It’s important.

Truth’s Tuesday is Tomorrow

Truth’s Tuesday has come again, so download and review Truth’s Evil Light for Kindle. A friend of mine gave me a plug on her blog. Thank you Finnley! Have a look at Finnley Mae’s blog; she has a lot of cool stuff on there. I especially like the story about the goat that was kidnapped and returned with painted toenails. Too funny!

Truth’s Evil Light is still not available at the Chippewa Falls Public Library. I don’t know what the problem is. It’s been three weeks. I don’t think it takes that long to catalog a book. Honestly, I don’t get it. Are they afraid of letting the riffraff in? Then why take the DONATED book? I guess I’ll have to make my weekly trip down to see them. Eventually, they will either give me back the book or put the thing on the shelf. I HATE NAGGING! It just pisses me off.

I’m going to visit Jo Moriarty at the Book Cellar and drop off some bookmarks with her. If you want one, go to 706 E. Grand Ave. Chippewa Falls, WI. I don’t know if they will take them but I’m going to try to leave some at ChiHi too. Volume One has an ad for local authors for their retail store and I emailed Tina about it. We’ll see how that pans out.

Internet Explorer

Anyone using Internet Explorer must think I’m an idiot by now. (I hate that browser with a passion) I found out this morning that my website was a mess using that browser. I spent all day but finally got the #$%$^*^*&*&( working. It looks just like all the others now. My sincere apologies if you tried to access http://michaelamcgregor.com and were confronted with that. I didn’t know but I should have.

Truth’s Tuesday

Whoo-Hoo!!!! 140 new readers in one day! Truth’s Tuesday, in my humble opinion, was a smashing success. I hope everyone likes the book. More than that, good or bad, I hope they review it.

Yesterday, I signed up for goodreads.com give away. Three paperbacks are up for grabs, so enter to win a copy of Truth’s  Evil Light. Both events are listed on the menu under the Community tab on the News and Events page. Have a look.

In other news, the mobile website is working again (hopefully for good). A very nice guy named Alex at DudaMobile was kind enough to help me troubleshoot it and we figured out most of the problems. Thanx Alex!

Truth’s Evil Light at Chippewa Falls High

Happy, happy, joy, joy! I just got back from a trip to my daughter’s school. Chippewa Falls High School library has added Truth’s Evil Light to their collection! Yippee! I was waiting for the librarian to tell me that she wasn’t interested but nope. She was under the impression I wanted them to buy it. Once that was straightened out, she said they would definitely put it out. *Phew*

I also stopped by the Chippewa Falls Public Library. It isn’t out on the shelves yet but the woman that handles collections has been sick. BUT soon, hopefully very soon, it will be.

For now, I’m waiting for a call from my mobile website provider. I’ve got to get the sucker fixed. It’s actually working now (except for the images, galleries and forums). The stupid thing was down for a week. Unacceptable. Most of the people I know use their phones to access the internet almost exclusively. My husband was telling a friend of his from work about my book and website. She tried to bring it up on her Note and all she found was “Google cannot find this page.” Not good.
