I find it hard to sum up my life in a paragraph, but I'll try.
Reading has always been a passion for me and writing is as instinctive as breathing. Every inhale is an idea; every exhale a creation. Flutter, The Discover Series was my debut release and since then I have written a contemporary romance, The Edge of Darkness. The only thing I do better than writing? Making beautiful, sassy and independent, girls. My daughter's will always be my greatest accomplishment, my biggest fans and my every inspiration. I live, breath and would die for them! My Review
Call be biased because i love everything this woman puts out, everything this woman touches is gold. And this gem is no different. First of all, i think the cover is my fave so far! i thought i loved the Octavian's Undoing cover, but i love this so much more!!There is so much to love about this book. First, there's the cover! second, there's the KICKASS heroine. I love her clumsiness but also this girl has a fiery personality and a sharp tongue, which is handy around that bi-atch of an arch nemesis.And last but not least, i have one word for you -- ADAM *le sigh*Now give me book 2!!!

You may have excuses like, oh i don't have the right story, no one's going to like my work, its too expensive blah blah... no! stop all that whinging and just take the plunge!

I did, and i couldn't be happier.

RIGHT NOW has never been a better time to write that book and publish it.

How do i get my work published?

This question i have been asked A LOT! Believe it or not, its easier than you think!

Why self publishing?

The first thing people think or say when i say i'm a published author, is wonder how i got published. Its not all that hard.

First, i did my research.  I discovered all these self publishing print- on demand companies before i discovered amazon (Oh well, i learnt from my mistakes). I went to a seminar held by one of the leading print on demand companies in the world, Hay House and their offshoot, Balboa press, who mainly deal in self help books, but anyway, they taught me a lot about the marketing side and gave me some inside information in to how the publishing industry works.

I considered going with them, but found it was going to cost about $1000 to publish my first book and that was way out of my budget. I did some googling and discovered Xlibris, another print on demand company. Long story short, i advise you NOT to go with companies such as Xlibris as they are expensive and will keep hounding you for your hard earned money, plus they do not have professional editors. They deliberately re-edited my book, taking out words and misspelling others just so i would cough up extra money.

I don't want to bash any companies, all i'm saying is, if you are a wannabe author on a budget, these may not be the best options.

I did eventually have my first book published by Xlibris, but after almost a year, have finally been accepted by a literary agent, so will be republishing my first book, The Chronicles of Fire and Ice before Christmas.

Here are the reasons why you SHOULD self publish.

If you still want to self publish, the best route to take by far and from experience, is Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and Createspace for paperbacks. They publish exclusive to amazon worldwide, and are affordable to set up.

BUT BEFORE YOU DO ALL THAT:

Before you even think of publishing your work you will need to contact a few people;

1: A cover designer. I know a few affordable designers, contact me if you would like a referral. Or if you don't have a budget, i work with a designer is a bit more on the expensive side, but is really professional and creates absolutely amazing work! 2: An editor!- An editor is really important. i skimped on my first two books because i was poor, but if you want to sell more books and look more professional, i recommend hiring an editor. I can recommend my editor, Rogena Mitchell- Jones. She is affordable and can do a great deal for first- timers and more than one manuscript.

Also if you end up using them or are interested in hiring them, make sure you tell them i sent you!

The Garden of Eden is out!!! Release day thoughts and contest.

It seems like a long time coming, the day is finally here!

I began writing The Garden of Eden in december 2012 while writing The Chronicles of Blood and Stone and finished the first draft back in may or june of this year.

You may be wondering why i decided to give Eden her own story? well, if you read Fire and Ice, it is obvious. She has such a strong personality that she was practically begging me for her own story!



During my release day event on facebook, or on my page you may have seen me post about a contest. No? Well, here is a little more information about that.
