“Pym!”I hear my name and know it must be Rush. He’s coming after me, so I swim faster. His voice is closer now.“Pym!” Then comes the persistent banging.“Pym, wake up!” Now I know I’m not dreaming. Ignoring my lack of clothes, I groan and slide out of the bunk I’m in, landing on the cold metal floor. How did I get here? Where am I? I didn’t have time to deliberate over the situation, because the person on the other side of the door kept banging. I hurry over to the door because the banging has gotten more persistent by the second.“Coming. Hold your horses!” I unlock the bolt across the door and yank it open. Rush tumbles in, fist raised to knock again.“Rush? What are you doing here? You shouldn’t be here, my father will kill you.”“Can I talk to you?”“Sure, but in the morning.” I try and shut the door in his face but his hand stops it.“Please. I have to speak to you now.”“Fine.” I exhale. “Come in before anyone sees you.” I grab his shirt and pull him inside. He forgets about the lip all the watertight doors here have and trips over it, crashing into me and sending us tumbling backwards. He lands on top of me and I can’t breathe. He raises his head and looks at me with those incredible blue eyes I love. My breath catches in my throat as something stirs inside me. Something I have been denying for years. His dark hair hangs over those blue sapphires dashingly, driving me crazy. I push away the sudden urge to lean up and kiss him. “You’re crushing me,” I gasp.“Oh, sorry.” He uses the floor either side of us to push himself up and once he’s to his feet he offers his hand for me.“Thank you.” I take it and his strong arm pulls him up. It is now I feel naked and vulnerable as his teenage eyes take in my long bare legs, my very short boy- leg shorts and black training t-shirt.“Nice PJ’s.”“Thanks.” I attempt to hide my flushed cheeks when I shove his chest. “Now say what you have to say before I throw you out.”He exhales and looks up at my face. “I just want to say that I… I had a bad dream and I can’t sleep.”“A dream about what?” I say as I sit down on the lower bunk bed.“I dreamt that Aqua was sinking.”I stare at him in disbelief. “Sinking? Impossible.”“It could happen you know, if one of the other militias decide to set missiles on us.”“Rush, my dad has made it clear there are no other militias. There are no other communities but ours.”“That is where you’re wrong.”I stand up and begin pacing. “No, it’s not true. My father has told me that…”“Your father is lying to you. Your father has been lying to all of us.”“Rush, that is a dangerous accusation you’re making.”“I don’t care. I know what I saw.”My eyes widen. “What you saw? What are you talking about?”“I was out on patrol with my father this morning when I saw something in the distance.”“It could be a mirage. You know how the ocean plays tricks on you.”“No, I know its another community. My dad even hinted at it.”“What?”“He knows something. I asked him what it could be and he changed the subject like he didn’t want me to know. I’m telling you Pym, we’re not the only survivors.”I sat back down beside him. “Okay, lets say its true. We can’t really go telling our parents about it. They’ll call us foolish children and brush us aside, or even worse, believe us and go killing them.”“We don’t even know what they’re like, the others,” Rush said.“Exactly.”“Which is the reason we should go and investigate. We could swim over there and…”“Are you insane?” I gripped his arm, nails biting into his flesh.“Yes, I am. Insane is my middle name,” he grinned. I wacked him.“I’m serious, Rush. Our parents would never allow it and…”“And they aren’t going to know. It’ll be our little secret.” He moved closer and placed a finger on my lips. In that moment I was very aware of how close we were. Our thighs touched and so did our gazes. Years of crushing on him, loving him, boiled down to this very moment. I wanted to lean forward and kiss him so bad. I don’t know why a second later I changed the subject and moved back.“Where are we? We aren’t in my room or yours.”“I know. We’re in your father’s vessel.”“What? Why?” I knew this was serious. We never fled to the ship. It was only used on patrol missions.“Someone triggered the alarm. I don’t know who, but I was on my way to my room when I found your Mom standing outside with you. You fainted, Pym.”“Fainted?” This was so weird. I never fainted.“Yeah. I carried you onto the ship.”“Where were you?”“Out on patrol like I said.”“Oh.” I looked down at my hands, looping my thumbs round and round each other. “So that’s why you weren’t at lunch.”“I’m sorry. I wanted to tell you, but my father pulled me away. He didn’t give me time to explain. Why? Were you worried about me?” he moved closer and smiled. I looked up at him and shoved him.“You’re such a loser.”He shoved me back. “You’re the loser.” He stood. “Anyway, I’ll see you at breakfast tomorrow. Okay? Get some sleep.”“Hey, I was already sleeping. You woke me up because you couldn’t sleep.”“Funny. Sweet dreams. Okay?”“You too.” I smiled at him and slipped back into bed as he let himself out. I could’ve sworn I saw him wink on the way out.

Some big changes are coming!!!
So i have been sitting on this news for a while, and today i got the confirmation. The news is now official and i can share it with you all.
Remember last August how Fire and Ice was picked up and signed with a literary agency in NYC? Writer's Bloq? Well, i regret to say that i am no longer going to be working with them.
Why you ask?
We parted on good terms, and i had to make a decision. Sales were bad, so I had to decide what would be best for my future as an author, how far i wanted to take my career, and the future of the Legend of the Archangel series. With that being said...
I am happy to announce that i will be self publishing Fire and Ice again under my own name and my own press (Vices and Virtues Publishing) with original covers and titles, followed closely by book 2 Blood and Stone and book 3 Silver and Gold soon after.
Both Fire and Ice and Blood and Stone will get blurb and content makeovers and be re-published in the second half of 2014.
In the mean time, here's a list of the books and their release dates for the rest of the year:
- The Aqua Secret - March 31st
- The Garden of Death - book 2 in the Eden Chronicles - May 31st (cover reveal to be late april/ early may)
- Crave - June 30
- The Chronicles of Fire and Ice- July
- The Chronicles of Blood and Stone - late July/ early August
- The Chronicles of Silver and Gold- Late August
- Second Sight: Episode Two of the Adelaide Paige Saga - October
I am planning to release one more book hopefully and that's where i want YOU to help me! I want you to tell me what book i should release in December, my last release of 2014.
Out of:
- The Garden of Fate - book 3 in the Eden Chronicles
OR
- The Aqua Lie- book 2 of the Aqua Saga
I'm busy, busy, busy!
Don't forget, The cover reveal for The Aqua Secret is on MARCH 10th! It won't be revealed until 4pm AEST and Midnight EST USA hosted by Lady Amber's Tours.

Summer Sky by Lisa Swallow- Cover reveal
Book title: Summer Sky by Lisa SwallowSeries: Blue Phoenix #1Genre: Contemporary romanceRelease date: April 2014 Cover designed by Najla Qamber Designs Photo by Lindee Robinson PhotographyModels: Madison Wayne & Chad Feyrer
Sky changed her life for a man once, and she has no intention of doing it again - even if he is a six foot, tattooed rock god who makes a mean bacon sandwich.
Sky Davis is fed up of boyfriend Grant taking her for granted and when she comes home to find him wearing a girl, Sky suspects the relationship is over. She takes an unscheduled holiday and leaves the life (and guy) she hates behind.
Rock star Dylan Morgan is struggling with fame and infamy, sick of his life being controlled by other people. Dylan cuts his hair and walks away from his role as lead singer of Blue Phoenix, leaving chaos and speculation behind.
Outside the English seaside town of Broadbeach their cars and worlds collide.
Sky decides Dylan is an arrogant guy with too many tattoos, and Dylan is amused by the smart-mouthed girl with no idea who he is. Dylan and Sky soon discover they’ve travelled to Broadbeach for the same reason - to escape from reality back to a place with happy childhood memories.
Losing themselves in a world where they know nothing about each other, Sky and Dylan begin a summer romance that soon heats up their rainy English summer.
Fantasies can’t last forever and when reality crashes the party, Sky isn’t sure she wants to be more than his ‘summer Sky’ but Dylan doesn’t want to let her go.
Returning to the real world and public scrutiny isn’t their only problem. Blue Phoenix bass player, Jem Jones, has a reason for wanting Sky out of Dylan’s life, and is determined to come between them. Some things won’t stay hidden, even when they’re paid to ‘go away’.
Summer Sky is a quirky romance where occasionally more than the bacon sizzles. This is the first in the new ‘Blue Phoenix’ series of contemporary rock star romances.
Please note: this is a romance with a rock star hero, and not an erotic rock star book!
"Sky! Waves!"
I have my back to the ocean and a wave crashes against my legs, destabilising me. I regain my footing and attempt to move before the retreating water sucks my feet into the sand. At that moment a larger wave wipes me completely, dragging my body underwater. I panic at the confusion of being pushed and pulled out of my control, seawater swirling hair into my face and the bubbles rushing into my ears. The shell remains tightly gripped in my hand.
As water draws away, I push my head free. Dylan stands on the edge of the shore, water lapping his ankles, laughing. I spit out sea water and stagger to my feet. The weight of the damp hoodie threatens to pull me down again as I push hair from my eyes.
"That was fucking funny! You should see your face!" He wades towards me, arm outstretched to help.
Attempting to keep my footing, I lunge at him and slap his hard chest with both palms. "It was not! Screw you!” Dylan catches my arms as I make contact, and pulls me towards him.
Scrutinizing my face briefly, Dylan takes my cheeks in his broad palms and crushes his lips against mine. I gasp again, but it's not the sea snatching my breath this time. A new wave sways us, and Dylan holds my face tightly, his own footing steady as his mouth claims mine. A small voice in my head asks what the hell I’m doing but I ignore it - Dylan overwhelms all common sense the moment I have any physical contact with him. Losing myself in his mint-flavoured kiss, in the slide of his cool tongue, I yield to the power he holds over me. Dylan curls his fingers into my wet hair and pulls me closer; I respond with a deep kiss, tracing fingers across his stubbled cheek.
Fierce or gentle, his kisses mould my soul to his as perfectly as his body shapes with mine, as if we’re in a place created by our coming together. Kissing Dylan last night pulled me into his orbit, and when I see stars again, I swear his kisses will always take me to the edge of his galaxy. If Dylan can remove me from reality with just this, god knows what anything else he's skilful at would do to me. The thought of us skin on skin, united through more than a kiss, lights a fire deep inside that would take more than the cold Cornish sea to extinguish.
Dylan loosens his grip on my hair and slides his hands across my damp back. He closes the final gap between us as our bodies meet, and I wish the rain-soaked clothes weren’t in the way. “I have never met anyone so…” He grasps for a word then gives up and rests his forehead on mine. “I feel as if I’ve waited my whole life to meet you and then suddenly you’re here.”
For a moment I consider whether he’s teasing me again, but I guess I’m very different to the people in his real life. "I can honestly say I've never met anyone like you, Dylan Morgan."
He wipes water from my cheek with cool, damp fingers. "No-one’s met Dylan Morgan apart from you. Not for a lot of years, anyway.”
I stare at the truth reflected in his pale blue eyes, unable to believe any of this is reality. His grip on my back loosens, and I step back. Rain drips down his face, soaking through his T-shirt and clinging to his body in a way that does nothing to help my mounting desire to get my hands on him.
A subject change is needed rapidly, before I begin drooling.

Title: Guarding AngelSeries: Fallen Redemption #1Genre: Adult Fantasy
Expected Release Date: April 28, 2014
Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20452254-guarding-angel
Synopsis:
Guardian angel Enael can’t seem to keep her human Wards in check. They’re the ones who choose their paths before reincarnating—she’s just there to help make sure they stay on track. But it’s not as easy as it might look.
When she meets and falls in love with charismatic Kaspen, a fellow Guardian, Enael’s feelings about Heaven, Hell, demons, and the life she’s known are turned upside down. Worse, angel-turned-demon Yasva, Kaspen’s former love, still holds him in her clutches. Even as Yasva works toward obtaining complete control of Earth, she taunts and haunts Kaspen’s and Enael’s lives.
Now Enael is forced to face her past (which is centuries long and bursting with secrets), her present (which is terribly unfulfilling and full of questions), and her future (which becomes more uncertain as time passes). Armed with a newfound love and fear of losing it all, she must figure out how to save the world—-and the angel she loves. Which side will win? Who will Kaspen choose? Will Heaven and Earth continue to exist, or will everything go to Hell?
Excerpt:
My Ward, Daniel, put the horse in the barn, untacked him, closed the barn door, and made his way to the house. It dawned on us that the farmstead seemed unusual. The house was dark. No candle from Lily waiting up for him, no cheery fire from her having stoked the hearth. The only light came from the moon overhead.
As Daniel walked from the stable, I tried to feel for the presence of humans or gaze through the wall to see who was inside. I couldn’t—it was as though a black curtain veiled the house.
Something waited for Daniel. Written in neat lettering in Daniel’s Book had been what was about to unfold, the consequences for sleeping with Miriam a second time.
Maybe it’s not too late to stop this. My thought was irrational, but I desperately wanted to redeem myself. Perhaps I could convince him to feel guilt, remorse, and contrition when he came face-to-face with death. That should be worth something to the Council of Seraphim.
I glided into the dining space ahead of Daniel. No lights burned. Upstairs, the bed was made. The pantry cabinet was closed. The hearth had been swept. The spinning wheel sat in the corner, but the basket of sewing supplies was missing. All the chairs were pushed under the dining table, except—
Daniel’s wife Lily sat at the table, rifle pointed at the door.

The problem with crazy is that crazy, by itself, has no context. It can be good crazy, bad crazy . . . or crazy crazy—like it was when my ex-boyfriend sung about me on the radio.
Eighteen-year-old Kate couldn’t be more excited about finishing high school and spending the summer on tour with her boyfriend’s band. Her dad showing up drunk at graduation, however, is not exactly kicking things off on the right foot—and that’s before she finds out about his mystery illness, certain to end in death.
A mystery illness she is likely to inherit.
When your whole life goes from adventure and ecstasy to sad and suicidal, what’s the point? Not knowing who to love, and who to trust . . . where does it end?
The Problem With Crazy is a story about love and life; about overcoming obstacles, choosing to trust, and learning how to make the choices that will change your life forever.

Holy hell. I don't know what to say. I just literally finished The Problem with Crazy and I don't know what to say... I'm speechless. There are only a few books which have made me feel the way this book did. And that is a sign of a freakin good book. Seriously, everyone needs to go buy this once it's out. But I must warn you (the author needs to do this too!) have tissues at the ready when you read this. This book made me cry not once, not twice, but three times! The author just gets emotion. Before I ramble on any longer, I will finish by saying BUY THIS BOOK! It'll be a shame if it doesn't go places. 5 gazillion twinkling stars!
I raised my hands to my sides and lifted up my T-shirt, throwing it over my head and letting it land on the floor next to me. Swaying my hips to the side, I threw my hands out in a ta-da movement, like I was the host on a game show.
“And the jeans.” Dave nodded and took a few steps back to the bed, sitting down and crossing his arms. His face was blank, and his eyebrows were raised. I’d never seen him look so unimpressed. I flipped the button and undid my fly, slowly pulling my skinny jeans over my thighs, my knees, my calves, and finally my ankles and feet. There was no way to do it and be sexy, so I settled for not falling over. I stepped out of my pants and stood up straight, in only my underwear. Dave checked his cell for messages.I felt sick.

WRITING ABOUT ILLNESS
Writing about illness and disease is obviously dancing with danger. After all, when you're talking about a condition that can change, and eventually, strip someone of their life, it's important to treat the topic with sensitivity and do it justice. Stuffing up things like symptoms, treatment and other conditional specifications can not only leave you labeled a liar, but also leave you responsible for potentially causing a sufferer insult and/or injury. The Problem With Crazy deals with Huntington's disease, a neurodegenerative disorder that results in a loss of brain function and, approximately 15-20 years after onset, death. And that's putting it in simple terms. When writing about this disease, I wanted to keep as close to the facts as I could. Being a lesser-known condition than, say, cancer, or Parkinson's, it was difficult at first to gather facts. Eventually, I approached a few organisations, state bodies for sufferers of this illness, to fact check and gather information. This was difficult as a writer; asking people to give up their time for something that may never be published is hard, especially when you're asking such personal questions. Still, I was lucky enough to speak with a person at the Huntington's foundation in Victoria, and they helped me a lot. I also learnt a lot from talking with sufferers and relatives of sufferers. They showed me a unique angle to the disease I hadn't at that point considered: a compassion, and positive focus I may not have been aware of otherwise. In the end, I asked another state body to read through the book for any factual errors. At the end of the day, this illness isn't my story to tell--it's theirs, and I don't want to misrepresent it. Still, I do expect there to be an element or two of information that perhaps isn't quite accurate. When it comes down to it, I haven't suffered from this illness, nor has anyone in my family, thank goodness. It is for this reason that I hope you, as a reader, understand that this is a work of fiction, and for more information on this disease

Synopsis
Sophie has enough problems in her life without Spencer turning her blood to fire, without his eyes freezing and burning her, without his hatred of her. Since his migration into the house next to hers, Sophia Valdez isn’t sure whether she wants to toss him under a bus or kiss that smirking mouth of his. But even as the temperature rises around them, leaping flames of passion, want and desire, everything either has ever known will be shattered by the lurking shadow hounding their every step, wanting revenge.
Spencer Rowth moves to the sleepy town of River Port with his mother and twelve year old sister, Suzy, to escape a deceitful father, an unfaithful girlfriend and a life crumbling much too fast for him to grapple onto only to be smacked upside the head by the last thing he wanted again. Sophie was everything he refused to want. Her temper, her wit, her laugh, her smile, the way her entire body goes up in flames under his hands are things he would rather slam a lid on and forget. Instead, he finds himself falling for the smart-mouth next door. But how long will he have before the evil chasing them catches up? How long before the very thing he never wanted becomes his only thread to sanity? And who is after them? What do they want and why do they want Spencer and Sophie dead?
Excerpt
“I won’t bite,” he said, probably meaning it as a joke.
“Oh if only that were my only problem,” she sighed under her breath.
“What?”
She shook her head. “Nothing.”
She took his hand, slipping her icy fingers through his. The electric sparks tore a fiery path down the length of her arms, nearly melting the ice beneath their feet. She shivered involuntarily and felt his fingers flex.
“All right?” Had his voice always been so husky?
She dampened her lips. “Yeah…” The single word died in her throat as she was pulled towards him. Her heart tripped. Her lungs stilled. The heat of his body rushed over her with the subtle scent peppermint, leather, spices and smoke.
A soft mist blew around them. Raindrops glistened in his hair, shimmering under the pale glow of the light post. His eyes were shadowed beneath wispy fringes, but the silver in them glinted like pools of liquid mercury. Her breath caught. It must have made a sound because his fingers tightened. His shaky exhale caressed her flushed face.
“This,” he whispered so quietly she almost didn’t hear him. “Is why you are so bad for me.”

The Deathly Roses 1 by Melina Turner- Blog tour
Author Name and or Pen Name: Melina TurnerAuthor Bio: Hi I’m Mel aka Melina Turner, I’m an international award-winning poet and live in Australia in a little town called Gympie. I began my writing at an extremely young age starting in primary school in year 3 when I heard about Write4Fun, a school international writing competition. My first piece was called “Wild Brumbies” published in 2003 when I was in year 3. I soon after moved from Nambour to Gympie an hour away, where I was influenced by an amazing English teacher to continue writing. In 2005 when I was in year 5 I was awarded “honoured writer” for my poetry in which I continued and still do. In 2013 I was awarded, “Best Poet of 2012” and put into a poetry book that is now in the library of Congress. After I began poetry I soon wanted to branch out thus starting “The Deathly-Roses Volume 1” a flash fiction narrative-prose piece, original and first of its kind, to be published 2013. I then gapped it out and wrote Volume 2 in 2007 to be published at the end of 2013; the third to be written in 2013 and publish 2014. My goal with these books (TDR Volumes) was to make it short and poetic-like to gain non-readers interest and I believe I have done that. As of 2012, I slowly branched out and started helping co-author for Timothy Mitchell Films, helping with scripts for movies. As of now I am beginning to write my first finished novel ever and working at my business as an editor and promoter for independent authors. As of now I will be finishing my novels and aiming for traditional publishing.
Reviews or quotes of positive reviews your work has already received.
Review Of “The Deathly-Roses” (volume 1 and 2)There is an honest voice in Turner’s writing evident in “The Deathly Rose”. Turner writes with wit and manages to keep the reader engaged over the course of the two volumes. The end with bonus volume 3 sneak peak (which could even serve as a prologue for volume 2) reminds me of the ending of ‘Mad Max’, in the sense that the character has slowly sunken to the depths of insanity the she now is ready to extract more violent horrors. Some descriptions are a little had to visualize, but I guess that’s part of its poetic beauty. The first person narration voice isn’t narrating character’s name in third person in the same chapter. Still, it’s only a small thing which readers will choose to ignore because of its engaging content. Definitely get into this series. Well craft and very well devised. 4 out of 5. ~Timothy David Mitchell (moviemaker of “The Waiting game”)Melina turner’s “The Deathly-Roses” Volume 1, is a refreshing story well written story, with an excellent array of supernatural thought provoking concepts. The characters both serve as well written portrayals of angels, corrupt business tycoons and tragic misunderstood victims each with their own complex back stories and agendas. At the heart of the characters is the character of Wisty. A tortured young girl, drugged and forced to serve under a corrupted rich family and forced to marry a stranger against her will. Melina Turner does a great job at bringing the character of Wisty to life, as the feeling of sadness on Wisty is ultimately reflected upon the reader as well as the strength and courage Wisty gains upon learning of real purpose in life and her love and affection with the character of Iriami, a mysterious stranger who shows sympathy towards Wisty. The story as a whole is edgy and well-driven; with a sense of humour in various areas. All in all a very well written story and I cannot wait for the next installments in this exceptional series ~Robert Church
Guest posts at least 500 words written by author: What am I writing at the moment you may as…well the answer is simple three pieces and each has its own personal signature. As The Past plays to the Present is my first YA Teen Romance about a past that replays to the present. As Black a teen born into one of the richest families ever struggles to survive from her father, who stalks her for the very riches he murder her mother for…Will most definitely finish rewriting this piece this year.
The second book is a collaboration with a new author called Bill Jensen it will be a book on a collection of comedy shorts that both will make you laugh, shock you and might even find it offensive but there are so many different comedy types to choose from that we will cover most of them; from aussie humour on the drop bears to a girl tying herself up to a very long rope and flying like a kite (pretending to be an army plane mind you) and another which will really offend which I wont mention just yet ;) This won’t be finished for a while so the wait must continue.
And lucky last Deodora Daggers, the first novel ever in The Deathly-Roses Books which will introduce a new character and how she came to be and how she managed to be in The Deathly-Roses Volumes. This piece surprisingly will not be YA as The Deathly-Roses Volumes are but Adult content. It will be published hopefully next year before The Deathly-Roses Volume 3.
A small blurb of Author’s book:
The Deathly-Roses Volume 1
“I had scratches and scars all over me but they were slowly disappearing, which was great and would let my beauty settle in. I looked at myself in the mirror focussing on different parts of my face. Something was different. Was it my full lips? The cleaned face? Mo, it wasn’t. It was my eye colour it had changed…”Meet Wisty, a teenager forced by her family to bond to the richest, in Acrelain. But dire punishments, have given her something she never believed was true… Join Wisty as she sets off on her journey between good and evil to find the very truths…that could break her or make her stronger.

Do you like coded messages? I certainly do. Send your solutions to me at ctrost (at) hotmail.com with the subject line: Blog Hop Code and I’ll send you some gripping tales of mystery, suspense and horror!
Oh, here’s a hint: The name of the planet from the only science-fiction tale I have ever written will help you.
Here’s a little about my short story collection, Hoffman’s Creeper and Other Disturbing Tales:
A businessman staying in a Scottish manor makes the mistake of deciding to spend the evening in the library. A group of unpopular teenage girls uses witchcraft to pursue their aims. A rich banking tycoon has forgotten his university days when he and his friends dared to imagine a world ruled by social justice and working class ideals. The estranged family of a deceased aristocrat bicker over their inheritance. A botanist’s love for his plants is unnaturally deep-rooted.
“Hoffman’s Creeper and Other Disturbing Tales” is the first short story collection from Cameron Trost. It plunges the reader into a world of mystery, suspense, obsession and greed. From the Scottish highlands and the jagged peaks of the Pyrénées to the streets of Brisbane and the Australian countryside, Cameron Trost provokes the reader by ensnaring recognisable characters in disturbingly plausible situations. His writing seeks to entertain while exploring the absurdities and peculiarities of society and the human mind.
