My lips parted slightly and my tongue started to peak out to lick the dryness of my lips. Before I could even begin to wet them Elijah was there forcing his way in. This will be a two book series, but both books in The Beaumont Brothers can be read as a standalone. I daydream often and sometimes my daydreams interrupt my daydreams. So I write to remember them. If I didn't write, I think my mind would explode from an overload of fantasy and weirdness. To the annoyance of my friends and family, my characters sometimes become a part of my world. During my childhood, I would frequently get in trouble in school for daydreaming. Eventually, my vivid imagination paid off and I had the privilege of writing and co-directing my sixth-grade class play—a dreadful disaster, though not from my writing, of course, I must blame it on the acting.

I enjoy writing about characters living in small quaint towns and tend to lean toward the unusual and spooky.

My paranormal playing field delves into a different milieu, abandoning vampires and werewolves, but not discounting them. Someday I might like to write a novel about vamps and those furry creatures. But for now I like the bizarre mixed with romance. I let Rufus stay with her at night to give her a sense of protection. Not that Rufus would or could protect her—he was just a lovable lump of pure unconditional love mostly. I’d gone out and purchased some more clothes for her. I bought three pairs of jeans and about seven tops. I also bought her a pair of running shoes and some workout clothes, as well as a baseball cap. I told her, once she was well enough, in addition to self-defense training she had to start going out with me on my daily run. By the end of the first week, the swelling in her eye had subsided, and the black and blue hues surrounding it turned a greenish yellow tint. Troy smashed my guitar into pieces early on in our marriage. He came home one evening when I’d been working on a new song, trying to work out the kinks you know. Anyway, dinner was on the stove simmering.” She’d hardly touched the wine I poured for her, but picked it up and took a small sip, placing it back down before repositioning her fingers along the strings. “He’d come in complaining about something at work and wanted to know why his dinner wasn’t on the table. At that moment, I realized I should get up and see to it, and when I put my guitar down, he picked it up and smashed it against the wall. He said his dinner should have been my first priority when he came home. He expected me to be attending to him, not sitting around playing with toys, so he smashed my guitar. He said next time it would be my face.”I cupped her chin in my palm. She must have felt self-conscience at the gesture and flinched. “Sorry.” I lowered my hand. She looked down at the guitar and gently splayed her fingers across the frets. Picking up the glass of wine with her other, she took a quick sip then frowned. “I think I need some water.” She leaned the guitar against the side of the sofa and stood.I stood as well and tenderly took her arm at the elbow, stopping her from leaving. She turned and looked up at me, bewilderment evident in her eyes. She was close to me, our chests nearly touching. “I’m sorry he treated you so badly,” I whispered—my lips just a couple of inches from hers.Apprehensive, I searched her blue eyes, looking for a clue, a hint as to what she might be feeling. How would she react to my touch? The last thing I wanted was to stir up memories of unwanted dirty sex.

Birthdays, anniversaries and decisions

As you can probably judge by the title of this post, this post is rather a special announcement.


If you didn't know, the date June 13th is a rather significant anniversary for me. It is not a birthday or an anniversary of someone's death, but rather the birth of a book.
Yes, a book.

let me start at the beginning, on this date, June 13th 2012 to be exact, i started writing a very special book - what would now be known as The Chronicles of Fire and Ice.
I originally planned to call it Blackbell Academy - in fact my bff started calling it BA and even did some manga type sketches for me. But i realised this title would be too similar sounding to that of Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. So i began brainstorming a range of different ideas and themes of the book, and eventually came up with The Chronicles of Fire and Ice and it suited Scarlett's story very well. It stuck.
But this reason isn't the only reason why June 13th is so special to me.
Let me share with you the exact reason why.



I was sitting outside on my back deck reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth basking in the warm winter sun. (The winter sun is so beautiful here in Australia) with my phone by my side. Now before this, and for a few weeks, i had begun to have terrible and traumatic nightmares, which stay with me even now (and may or may not be worked into a book in the future). Now i only have terrible, catastropic nightmares when i am really stressed and on the verge of a breakdown. I had just finished a really rough exam period at college, but 2 months prior i had lost my sweet little angel Paris to a terrible and unfortunate disease. If you don't know, Paris was my sweet little Maltese doggy, and was the second dog in my life i had lost to illness. But in just a short period of time, in 2012, i had not only lost Paris, but my cousin to a horrific car accident caused by drunk driving. I was stretched thin with stress and grief. So sitting outside in the warm embrace of the winter sun, a few ideas came to me. So i jotted them down.

Included in those thoughts was one name which would build the basis for a six book series and three spin off novels.

Everything came freely after that point. I had opened pandoras box. After that day i have never had a shortage of ideas for books.

So this year, on June 13th 2014, on the 2 year anniversary of my first book's conception, i will republished that little book for the third time.

Now i know what you may be thinking, i thought you were planning to release Crave on June 30th?
 Well, i have decided that i will wait to put Crave out into the world until i am completely happy with it. At present, I am not even half way through with the first draft, and it has a long way to go. So before Crave is published, I will republish The Chronicles of Fire and Ice on June 13th, The Chronicles of Blood and Stone (book 2) and The Chronicles of Silver and Gold (book 3) in July sometime. The Cover reveal for Silver and Gold will be held early July. I will announce a blog tour or book blitz soon to help celebrate and relaunch my Legend of the Archangel series.




 As a futher surprise, The Chronicles of Fire and Ice will be made perma- free so everyone can catch up and read the updates which i have made. I would hate for you to pay for these!

More is the debut poetry collection from debut author Kimberley Hart, and boy is it a stunner!Throughout the book you are dragged through a torrent of emotions, from joy, dispair, heartache... its like you've been thrown around in the washing machine! Honestly, get your tissues ready with this one, because i came out the other side an emotional wreck!Ms Hart's writing is excellent. I don't have much more to say about this, just that More. is a damn good piece of art and i want MORE!I recommend it!5/5 stars
