Chapter Seventeen Posted!
Enjoy!
Progress Report!
So, some of you have noticed that I haven’t been blogging a lot this week. That’s because I’ve really thrown myself at Harry Potter and the Save-or-Die. Not only will there almost certainly be a chapter out today (just have to put in some finishing touches) but I spent a lot of time storyboarding the next few chapters, which will speed up the process of writing those. In short: There will be a chapter today, barring some unforeseen disaster that knocks out power and/or internet. There will probably be a chapter next week, too, because I know exactly what’s going to happen (usually I know the important points, but make up the little details as I go).

It's really the fact that movement has been divorced from an action that makes it really easy to fight on the move.
Yeah, that makes sense. I’ve now only played D&D5 for a few hours, but so far, it’s a heck of a lot of fun. I’m sure there will be all kinds of quirks and flaws that come out of the woodwork eventually (there always are) but for now, I pretty much like what I see.
Also, it’s really interesting seeing a well-designed monk class. the bonuses to mobility actually help when you’re allowed to move and attack.
What is your elf's name? What are you like? (Give us roleplaying nerds some love!)
I’m Brother Benedor, an elf raised by monks of Pelor. I’m super rash and impulsive, believing that Pelor looks out for me, and therefore, as long as I remain in his good graces, I’m invincible.
Side note: we ended the session with me getting dropped to 0 Hp by wolves. fun fun fun!

Very Cool so far.
I sent you a couple of messages earlier. Is Tumblr just being wonky? Or do you just not have time to respond to all Death or Glory contributions? I'm really not trying to be combative here, but this sounds like the type of problem best solved with the crea
There will be a forum when I release the game. I get a lot of messages, and don’t have time to respond to all of them

Hey what's all that about Monks not getting Improved Unarmed Strike? It says quite clearly in the rules that Monks get Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat at level 1.
They do get Improved Unarmed Strike. They don’t get Proficiency with Unarmed Strike, which is a simple weapon. Most classes get all simple weapon proficiencies, but Monks don’t—it instead lists, individually, each type of weapon they’re proficient with. Unarmed strike is not on that list.
You know, if you ever had anything published, I'd buy it like a shot. I know you can't publish HPN20, but maybe something else?
Thanks!
When Death or Glory is released, I’ll set up a way for donations to be made to me for that project. I can’t accept money for fan fiction, but Death or Glory has nobody else’s IP but mine in it.

Sorry to bother. But didn't Milo think someting about being Neutral was the best way to be (and was aware of his alignment) in Nat20 Chpt 13. He then goes on to narrate that 'Milo must have screwed something up pretty badly to end up here in the very-Neutr
Milo switches to be Neutral Good over the course of the first two books. I forget if I mention that specifically or if it’s simply implied, and mentioned at the top of the character sheets.
As for him and chess, I can’t remember if that’s a plot hole or supposed to be Milo trolling people in the Duelling Club. I’ll look into it at some point, but any time I spend fixing stuff in the past is time I don’t spend working on the new chapter. It’s a very frustrating dilemma.
What do you think of 5E's spells?
Sadly, I still haven’t managed to get a group together to play a proper game of 5e, which is why I’m holding off on continuing my review into the main mechanics and spellcasting of the game. I like what I see when I read the rules, but I don’t yet know how well it’ll work in actual play. Sorry.
