A lot of the DoG stuff you're mentioning so far seems pretty straightforward, though the overall design is rather self-aware. For suggestions, do you want to keep things relatively generic (Gnoll claims to be nice guy, let tag along y/n?) or are you intere

So far, pretty generic is easier for me to slot right in. I haven’t really fleshed out the world that much, so I don’t know how much ‘fantasy’ to include. After you’ve seen the Alpha release, it’ll be much easier for you to see what kinds of things will fit in.

Thanks for the help!

Good News! (for people who like bad news)

This week’s chapter is only about half done, and I’m out of time available to work on it today. Unfortunately, that means there won’t be a chapter to release today.

One thing I’ve learned writing Harry Potter and the Natural 20 and sequels is that there’s no way to predict how long something will take to write. There is no correlation between time, effort, and words written. It’s frankly bizarre. Sometimes I can crank out a 5000-word chapter in an afternoon, but this week, I spent days writing and I’ve only got 1416 including the heading.

Anyway, happy Valentine’s Day!

Hey, you wanted another Escort mission and more wandering monsters. How about Bomb Convoy: The Squad is transporting a weapon to a critical position. This weapon may be an actual bomb, but it could just as easily be a giant robot, parts for a giant

(continued:) Having run out of space, as Bomb Convoy seems more like a full mission type than an Escort subset, here’s a few ideas for wandering monsters:
The Rogue Golem: A large, powerful construction unit that left it’s home
for reasons unknown. The Squad managed to tick it off. Annoyed Bear:
Pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It might just be territorial,
but good luck getting away if anyone shoots it. Werewolf Pack:
Basically, Bandits on steroids. Really questionable ones. Comes with own
Dilemma.

Niiiice. So, like Convoy Escort, except that the thing the Squad is escorting has the potential to destroy everything in a twenty-km radius?

Also, I can’t believe I didn’t think to include werewolves already.

Thanks for the ideas! Again, not all of this stuff will get into the Alpha release, but the Alpha release won’t have even close to everything I want to include.
