Oh oh, wanna get quirky? Start looking at multiclassing. Fighters are incredible classes to take for 1 or 2 levels then ditch, rogues are a super useful half-class, and sorc/wizard is *interesting*. I like this edition a lot. Still need to actually play it

I like it a lot, too, so far! Though I find having to choose between feats and ability score upgrades a little annoying. I appreciate that the devs are trying to streamline the game (earlier versions are incredibly overwhelming to new players), but I hate having to make choices like that—between passive improvements to everything I do (which are usually the mechanically optimal choice) and new abilities/options (which are usually much more fun). Capping abilities at 20 is great, though, becuase you can ‘max out’ something and be able to move along to something else, unlike in 3e, where Wizards have to bump Intelligence every time they can.

So far my group's favorite thing about the new edition seems to be the "Vicious Mockery" cantrip that bards get. When the party's bard first got it I house-ruled that it would get a bonus to save DC if he could come up with a good insult, now debates over

That sounds amazing.

It reminds me of an Order of the Stick webcomic where Elan, the party’s bard, gets an ability to add Charisma to melee damage when he makes a pun as he attacks.

Re: Death or Glory Suggestions

Hey! Suggestions for Death or Glory have really come pouring in over the last week! I haven’t had a chance to really look at them yet, though—I was focusing on my fic instead—so I haven’t replied to the vast majority. I’m planning to binge read/reply to them this upcoming week.

Thanks for all the help, people! I can’t wait to get this game out to you all.

Early on you referred to Sprocket with male pronouns, and it is later established that he is calico. Are you aware that the genetics involved make this highly unlikely?

hum-dee-dum dum dummmmmm derp.

I actually am aware of that. It was an error when I referred to Sprocket as male. Could you send me a chapter number so I can correct it? Thanks!

You referred to Wheel of Time as if it were one of those abandoned projects that has no updates in years. Are you speaking of the book series, which concluded two years ago? (granted, it took a few years to get to that point) (I was going to reference W

Yeah, I was.

Wheel of Time went for somewhere around 4 years between books at times.

Also—I’ve been reading WoT since I was eight years old. You don’t need to cite sources with me.
