Edits and Erotica and Branding, oh my!

There is so much happening, and I’ve been too busy to blog. Now that things are getting nailed down, I can share.

I’m now editing for cash. I’ve already taken on a few freelance projects and I’m also working with a publisher. The edits for my next release (I think) should be in my hands next week. I will need to work my butt off to get those done, the book formatted, and finally released by the end of the month. Yes, I’ve decided to take a stab at self-publishing for a project here and there...

Sales!

Starting today through May 21st, nearly everything I’ve written is on sale at Dreamspinner Press. They’re having their anniversary sale, and since I published a lot in their 6th year, there are deals to be had. That includes paperbacks.

So if you’re a paperback hoarder collector like I am, this is a great time to buy books from all your fave authors. Check out all the authors with deals.

I Guess I’m Sparkling….

twilight_face_by_liamwhite1-d73ovvuFor months (years) now, my kid has called me Twilight Sparkle, the character from Hasbro’s My Little Pony who loves to read and write. I resisted that name for numerous reasons, trying on Rainbow Dash or even Derpy to get away from all things Twilight.

And then I accepted all. Twilight Sparkle’s colors are purple, blue, and pink, essentially screaming the bisexual flag for me. AND she spends all her time reading and writing! What do I do?

Yep, I read, write, and edit. That’s my life now.

So I...

Outside the Margins – Posy on Prism Book Alliance®

I write a monthly column over at Prism Book Alliance now, which is why I’ve been fairly silent over here. It’s calle Outside the Margins. I’m also editing 2 stories and writing 2 more, so life has been crazy busy with that, not to mention homeschooling.

So if you miss my pervy banter, you can find me here. Come visit.

I’m Still Standing

I’ve taken on a new challenge, completely self-imposed. I seem to have a greater chance of succeeding on those rather than external challenges.

Writing-on-typewriter-007Writing is a notoriously sedentary job. All the hours getting stories down on the page, reading and editing, and then doing the promotion to sell those stories takes a toll. My back upper back (just above bra strap land) has been crying out in pain for months. When that happens I get headaches, my arms go oddly numb, and every so often I get light head...

Buddy Review: Tangled Mind by Posy Roberts — Joyfully Jay

The buddy review is an awesome way to read a review. Very cool, and the fact that Tangled Mind got 4.5 and 4 stars from these reading buddies, makes it even better. :D

REVIEW: “Tangled Mind” by Posy Roberts

Posy:

This review gave me the chills: the great kind. :D

“His pain palpated from the pages. My tummy was tight and my eyes were wet as I read. It was so….real. […] If you are looking for a rise above challenge this may be exactly what you’re searching for.”

What’s Your Writing Personality?

Helping Writers Become Authors posted a fascinating article on writing personalities, strengths and weaknesses of each, and some help on how to manage these styles.

From the descriptions, I’m a melancholic writer, prone to perfectionism, idealism, and insecurity. Yep. Pretty much explains me.

Positive Sexual Connection

New!

I’ve started a new blog over on Tumblr. I already have one where I essentially celebrate the male form and love between men, but this new one is different.

For regular readers, you know I’m bisexual, so I run across a lot of images and information I don’t share here or on my Posy Roberts Tumblr. It’s not the correct audience. But lately I’ve been discovering so much that I felt I needed to start something new, and I love the share-happy Tumblr format.

I’ve run across several sites on sexual...

Bookstore Closed, Era Ended ~ Posy Roberts: Outside the Margins | Prism Book Alliance™

I’m over at Prism Book Alliance today for my monthly Outside the Margins column. I share a few stories about the most wonderful bookstore I’ve ever been in. It was a castle! It closed it’s doors for good as 2014 came to a close.

There are photos of the castle bookstore on my Instagram as well.
