Kissing – Sex Positivity Blog Hop

spbhbanner (3)

Let’s start this Sex Positivity Blog Hop post with a first kiss.

He smiled at me with so much more intensity than usual and then leaned forward, capturing my lips with his. Warmth spread through my belly, TangledMindFSand it wasn’t from the fire he’d built. It was from deep inside me.

I was still somewhat unsure, but when his tongue drifted across my lower lip, I opened to him and dared to lick into his mouth. His lips were warm and soft and wet in the most wonderful way.

It had been ages since I’d kissed so...

Two Year Anniversary

Two years ago today I published my first novel, Fall Into You, and was able to tell people I was a published author. Wow!

SiFall Into Youmon Phillips always hated Thomas.

Ever since his black nail polish high school days, Thomas Schultz has seemed like a carefree, uninhibited wild child, in stark contrast to Simon’s shy, cautious nature. Now, from behind the safety of his hotel bar, Simon must watch, distracted, as Thomas becomes a shirtless rock star for every wedding reception they work. But when Thomas s...

I can be Beamed Right to You!

With so much social media, it’s tough to keep up. I’m on FB (profile, pages, and a group), Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google+, and even the new Ello. I’m sure I’ve missed something in there.

I don’t have time to go to each of those sites everyday, so I miss things I don’t want to from authors and readers. I’m guessing I’m not alone.

So, I’ve decided to put together a monthly (at most) newsletter. I’m not a hugely prolific writer who pumps out a book a month, so I won’t flood your in...

An open letter to Judge Sutton of the 6th Circuit Court

Posy:

Fantastic response. The smoke and mirrors act the Tea Party is using to distract has just been cleared.

This is a must read.

I would have thought the best way to get respect and dignity is through the democratic process. Forcing one’s neighbors, co-employees, friends, to recognize these marriages, the status deserves the same respect as the status in a heterosexual couple….if the goal is to change the hearts and minds isn’t it worth the expense?...

Writers Block leads to Free Story

Writer’s block sucks. It really, really, really sucks.

It sucks because it’s difficult to connect with fleshed-out characters andrich plots. It sucks because of trite advice people freely offerlike golden miracle pills that don’t even have the benefit of the placebo effect.

I found the advice similar to the recommendations people give to those who suffer from depression or anxiety, like take a walk, ask for help, andmeditate. I’m talking about the medical conditions, not how people often use th...

Rainbow Award Joy for Flare

FinalistMD

I woke up this morning to the wonderful news that Flareis a Rainbow Award Finalistin the Bisexual Romance category. I was already buzzing about when my friend, Tina Blenke, PMd me asking if I knew that Flare was also in Round 3 for Best Cover. Seriously?

So, it’s been a pretty good morning, at least until I had to help the kid with her homework. ;)

To vote for best cover, click here. There are a lot of beautiful covers, but I’m still in love with what Anne Cain did for Flare.

And please don’t mi...

Change of Heart, Facebook?

Did Facebook really stop long enough to rethink their real name policy? . I’m not fully buying into their change of heart and am still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but for now, I’m glad.

FacebookButton

I was so ticked off about the real name policy for countless reasons that I had to write about it a few weeks agoso I wouldn’t implode.Facebook isn’t the be-all and end-allsocial media tool out there, but it’s one of the better ones. One of the reasons I like it is because I’m...

Twist Arms – Lose Friends

You’ve probably heard about , going after performers who don’t use their legal names on the site. Yes, it’s a scam to get money, so I’m calling it how I see it. The legal name is in their TOS, so they have every right to kick people off their site, even if it’s the most despicable thing I can think of. They claim if you are a performer, artist, author, or anyone else who worksunder some sort of alias, that opening up a Page is the way to go.

Cue record scratch.

Wait now, w...

GRL Blog Tour

I’m going to GRL as a supporting author and have been asked to be a GRL Featured Blogger over at Love Bytes Reviews. I’m there today and they are hosting a giveaway of my backlist of books, winner’s choice. :)

Check out how buying a new printer made my brain short circuit over to MM Romance. That’s not much of a stretch when all I do it think about is men falling in love, is?

Virginal Pride

I attended my first event as an author among potential readersthis last weekend along withTina Blenke and Kaje Harper. Tina did an amazing job of setting all this up and organizing it and a reader friend and her husband helped with all the physical hauling.

Up until now, I’ve only gone to writing workshops where all the other attendees were also authors. I love those things, because those peoplejustgot it. Or me.

It was the same way at Pride. I got to talk to readers and potential readers about...
