I got choked up by the review multitaskingmama left of Tangled Mind today. It’s wonderful when a reader gets exactly what you hoped to convey.
At A Novel Approach, I talk about my hatred of the Mars/Venus social construct and how it has influenced my writing.
Charlie Descoteaux wanted to know about the research that went into writing Tangled Mind, and there was a lot.

Seeking the Perfect Cover Photo
For weeks I’ve been looking through stock photo sites for animage to use on the cover of my next book. My main character Gil is a man closing in on 40 who has been through a traumatic event that changed his life and left him with scars. Since then, he’s decided to shave his head bald and often hidesunder a fedora.
Try finding photos of bald men on stock photo site, and you usually end up withthree types of shots.

7 Days ’til Tangled Mind is Out

My Fiction Nook, where you can read the devastating opening scene
Scattered Thoughts & Rogue Words, where I talk about realism, facing personal demons, and my hatred of finding titles for my books

I Want Your Opinion
I’m getting ready to send out my very first newsletter. I subscribe to several of my fave authors’ newsletters so I can stay up to date on what on their upcoming books. I found it helpful and a time saver, so I thought I’d give my readers the same opportunity.
Now I’m stuck on the timing of when to sent it out, because I’m wondering if people preorder books or if they’d rather wait until the book is out.
So I created a quick survey. If you’d be so kind as to take a minute to answer 6 questions,...

Cold Feet and Christmas Food Favourites
I want to welcome a good friend and great writer to my blog today! Welcome back, Jay Northcote.
Hi, Posy.

My family’s Christmas dinner is pretty traditional for a UK Christmas meal. We have turkey for the meat eaters—but usually a turkey crown because half my family are veggies so we have a nut roast as well. That goes with roast potato...
