Tree Project – Day 20

Tree Project – image 20
It’s another Sunday and yes, another beautiful sunny day, though, I have to say, compared to yesterday at 28 degrees, today seems a tad chilly hovering at about 19. Funny how I remember that being considered a warm summer day, back in the UK.
I’m thinking that, at the end of each month, I’ll create a gallery of each month’s photos to see how the trees change over the course of that particular month.

Tree Project – Day 19

Bright and early, well, okay, early for me. It’s cool and pleasant out on the balcony, but once again, it’s sunny with blue skies and, we’re told, will get up to 28 degrees this afternoon. I’ll take it, thanks!

Tree Project – Day 18

At 8:30 this morning it was once again crisp, but still, the sun was out and the early morning held the promise of some afternoon warmth. Which, as I sit here to post this (late) has come about. It’s a balmy 28 out there right now, and time to go grab a cold drink and sit out and soak up some vitamin D.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Tree Project – Day 17

It’s kind of wild out there this morning, in a very blustery beautiful way. With the wind out of the south gusting around 20km, the privacy hedge is like a leafy seascape of ripping waves.
While overcast, it’s not as cold as the other day, nor is there a chill in the air. They say it will turn out, for the most part, sunny and warm with the temperature rising to 27. So Summer is refusing to leave and is still swishing her skirts, flirting with us all.

Tree Project – Day 16

Well, no drizzle this morning, but a light mist hung in the air that made me think, Halloween. The mornings are cooler even if, by midday, the sun is coming out and shining with some warmth, there has been a distinct change.
In complete contrast to the first shot I took at just before 9 am this morning, I’m adding another taken at 10:40 now that the mist has lifted and the sun’s out.

Tree Project – Day 15

Tree Project – image 15
Cold, crisp air, clear blue skies and most definitely autumnal. Quite the contrast from yesterday’s constant grey drizzle, which though in and of itself, was pretty, isn’t as inviting to go out as are clear blue skies. I feel a trip to the park coming on.

Tree Project – Day 14

Today is another day of constant light drizzle and cooler temperatures. In fact, while taking this shot this morning, it felt decidedly cold out there. So much so, I’m wear jeans for the first time in months. It feels like the Indian Summer was short, sweet, and fleeting.
I’m sure, in a few weeks, we’ll be see Fall exert itself, and more colour appearing. I’m looking forward to it. And you?

Tree Project – Day 13

The weather has definitely taken a down turn moving closer toward autumn. It was dull, dark and heavy all day yesterday and it rained on and off all night. This morning, it was still drizzling hence todays shot having to wait till I could get out on the balcony at around 12:40.
A good day I think to stay in and watch the football. Go Seahawks, go!

Tree Project – Day 12

Heavy, cool, overcast, and threatening rain, it’s the perfect day to stay indoors and watch the women’s US Open tennis finals. And that’s what I did … excited to watch two Italian ladies going at it and play a classic game of tennis.
Delighted to see Flavia Pennetta win over countrywoman, Roberta Vinci.

Remembering 9/11
Overcast, heavy, sombre, not only is the weather here today remembering, but we remember with a promise, ‘Never to Forget’ this day in history, and the events that unfolded in New York, Washington and in a Pennsylvania field, when so many lost their lives.
We remember each and every one of you, we will not forget.
