Tree Project – Day 64

Tree Project - image 64

It’s beginning to look a lot like November will be a month of rain as yes, once again, a steady drizzle is falling and soaking everything. Damp, overcast and neither cold nor warm, which is very unusual for November weather in these parts.

Tree Project – Day 63

Blustery, cool, overcast with dark clouds, the only good thing, they’re scudding across the sky at a fast pace. So, no rain forecast, but having been out, it’s there, in the air. The trees look a little wet and bedraggled, if trees can look bedraggled that is. Almost as if they are about to shiver in the cold.

Tree Project – Day 62

Tree Project – image 62

The day after Halloween, All Hallows Day, and no ghosts or ghouls called on us last night, but then, that might have because of the cold wet weather. A steady and persistent drizzle is soaking everything today, but thankfully, the wild winds of last week have long since moved on. It still feels very ethereal almost misty … maybe we might see a witch later, who knows …

Tree Project – Day 61

Cold, blustery, overcast, and more on the side of winter than Fall … and, perfect I suppose for Halloween tonight. Especially as there is no rain forecast despite the heavy cloud cover. And, just like that, in a matter of two weeks, Fall is over and the leaves have fallen … with a little help from the wind.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Tree Project – Day 60

Tree Project - image 60

Tree Project – image 60

And so, it happened, with all the rain, and violent winds yesterday, my group of trees are nearly leafless, denuded, bare! Now comes that forlorn state in between as autumn moves into winter, and snow and ice transforms everything into a winter wonderland.

Tree Project – Day 59

And so, it happened, the rain is again coming straight down, not heavy but persistent, and the leaves on my cluster of trees are falling  leaving them almost nude. Maybe by Halloween, this weekend, they will be bare. The colour and the glory has past, time for the big sleep approaches.

Tree Project – Day 58

Tree Project - image 58

Tree Project – image 58

Barely a breath of wind, a clear blue sky (again!) and the first day it’s been cold enough to see my breath. That childish excitement at seeing vapour on exhale is silly, I know, but still, winter is on her way.

Tree Project – Day 57

Brisk, windy, and a bite in the air, but clear blue skies with the odd white puff floating lazily overhead. The trees are huddling in or is that, hunkering down? for the long sleep. I feel like joining them.

Tree Project – Day 56

Tree Project – image 56

Again, as is the the way of it these last few weeks, yesterday was dark and stormy so today, it’s clear blue skies and while cool, not too cold as there’s not a breath of wind. And while the trees are looking a little bare they’re still full of colour.
