Tree Project – Day 97

Tree Project - image 97

Cold, blustery, overcast and yes, again, threatening rain and or snow. I’m sure the trees would prefer a warming blanket of snow to swaddle in than the bitting wind. But that’s just my opinion.

Tree Project – Day 96

Another overcast, heavy day that threatens either rain or snow, with the temperature hovering just around the 1-2 degree mark. Nothing exceptional. A day to stay inside.

Tree Project – Day 95

Tree Project - image 95

Tree Project – image 95

Well, it had to come, eventually, it started snowing, however lightly, yesterday and, overnight, we garnered a small accumulation. So that, this morning, there is a light dusting on the ground and trees, and a frosting on the privacy hedge. It’s still snowing, but more like tiny ice pellets than clusters of the fluffy white stuff. We’re expecting more. I hope the trees are well armoured against the snow and cold.

Tree Project – Day 94

Tree Project - image 94

Raining, with quite a stiff breeze blowing, so that said rain is coming in at an angle. Wet, grey, overcast, but, funny enough, not as grey as yesterday. No mist! Still, I can see small particles of sleet mixed in with the rain. And if the temperature drops, they’re saying snow is likely. We will see.

Stay warm dear trees.

Tree Project – Day 93

Tree Project – image 93

Wet, grey, heavy and overcast and yet, as the rain is but a light drizzle, the whole scene outside is almost ethereal, especially as I can hear the fog horns from down in the river. Quite beautiful. That and it’s much warmer today than it has been. I’m sure the trees will appreciate a little moisture.

Tree Project – Day 92

Tree Project - image 92

Tree Project – image 92

Brisk, cold, bright and clear blue skies, it’s a beautiful but chilly morning today. The bare trees seem nonplus in the brilliant morning sunshine, huddled in together for warm. Stark and almost silhouettes of their summer selves.

Tree Project – Day 91

Tree Project - image 91

Tree Project – image 91

The last day of November and the last few weeks of autumn and it’s brisk and cold outside, today. There are a few blue patches between fast moving clouds, so a mixed bag of weather expected today. I’m sure my trees are already in the first phase of their long sleep.

Tree Project – Day 90

Tree Project - image 90

Tree Project – image 90

The weather continues to be heavy, dull and overcast and yes, cold but at least, calm too. No breeze today, not that I think the trees feel it biting through their bark in the same we humans do, through their delicate skin! Still, I feel like tying a scarf around their trunks.

Tree Project – Day 89

Cold, overcast, with a brisk nip in the air … it feels like snow is on its way. Not a day to stand around outside. I think even the trees would appreciate huddling together on a day like today.
