Hypnosis Myth: Hypnosis Isn’t Scientific
As a practitioner of both clinical and stage hypnosis, I have been asked countless times about hypnotists “turning people into chickens.” While I’m sure more than a few stage hypnotists have used this routine as part of their shows, I have never witnessed a hypnotist perform this act. Regardless, hypnosis is still surrounded by several myths and misconceptions that often lead to fears about using it. So each month here on my blog, I will address a common misconception about hypnosis.

How to Prevent Gaining Weight Over the Holidays
Another study from this same research center at Tufts showed that those who were already obese tended to gain even more weight. In fact, a number of those involved in the study gained five pounds or more during just the holiday season alone.
Most of us have dealt with holiday weight gain. The food is good (and plentiful) and hard to resist, especially in a social setting. Are there any hypnosis and self-hypnosis techniques you can use to better control your eating behaviors around the Thanksgiving table?
I share some tips in my next newsletter, which I'll be sending on 11/15. To sign up to receive this newsletter, click here and scroll down to fill out the form.
