"Fun" Hypnosis

Fun HypnosisI've been covering a lot of information about the practice of clinical hypnosis versus the practice and application of lay hypnosis. Some readers may wonder about my thoughts on the "lighter side of hypnosis."

There are two parts involved in tackling the answer to this inquiry.

1. When used responsibly, the lighter side of hypnosis—the "for fun" side—can be a good thing. It can introduce patients to hypnosis in "baby steps," allowing them to get comfortable with concepts that may eventually hel...

Beating Sugar Addiction With Hypnosis

Beating Sugar Addiction With HypnosisIt sounds like a nice problem to have doesn’t it? Sugar addiction. The issue with this addiction is that, overtime, it has the potential to affect the patient’s life in paramount ways, including the onset of diabetes, tooth decay, organ failure, IBS, indigestion, and even certain cancers.

My advice to anyone struggling with this problem is that you not wait to take control. Too many times, hypnosis is a patient’s last ditch effort, so attacking your sugar addiction head-on, before it affects y...

Hypnosis For PTSDAccording to the National Institute of Mental Health, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a condition affecting nearly 7.7 million American adults. An In-Depth Look At Clinical Hypnotherapists

Clinical HypnotherapyThere are suggestions I make for those who are going into the process of choosing a hypnotist for the first time. I talk in-depth about that very thing in a post found HERE.

However, here is a closer look at what it means to work with a clinical hypnotherapist, like myself.

This isn’t a matter of degreed hypnosis usage vs. non-degreed. It is, simply, a breakdown of what is entailed from those who’ve sought out some form of institutional credentialing.

First, clinical hypnotists are simply those...

Hypnosis Is Breaking Ingrained Habits

Ingrained Habits And HypnosisThere’s a chance that, if you’re looking for help from hypnosis, your aim is to curb, alter or completely eliminate an ingrained habit. There are many other areas that hypnosis can assist patients and practicers with, such as chronic illnesses and weight management, however, breaking deeply-rooted habits is a concern for many, and is just as important to control as any chronic ailment.

Relaxation Music In Hypnotherapy: Is It Right For You?

Music And HypnotherapyThose who haven’t yet had any firsthand experience with clinical hypnotherapy may possess a few ideas about how it might work. These ideas commonly come from what has been shown on television and in pop culture.

I’m referencing the usage of music in combination with hypnotherapy. The use of music, of any kind, during hypnosis is not unheard of. In fact, many patients prefer it. That is the crux of the discussion here.

What Is It The Patient Wants?

Some patients may find that the silence is too “...
