I promise no signal flags will be raised before their time or without just cause.
If you'd like to get in on the celebration, esKape Press is sponsoring a Facebook Release Party for Duke by Day on Thursday, March 13th, between 7-10 p.m. (Eastern time). There will be treasure!!! You can join the partay here: https://www.facebook.com/events/51924...

Duke's New Look!
Ahoy, me hearties! I hope you've noticed that Duke by Day, Rogue by Night's look has changed. Huzzah! I'm very excited to announce that the relaunch for the book via EsKape Press will be March 4th! Woe! That's in 8 days!!!!
Duke by Day is up for pre-order now on various sites like Smashwords, All Romance Books, Kobo, and ITunes. So far reviews of the ARC, for the relaunched version, have been a fantastic boon to this pirate! And I owe it all to the great editors at EsKape Press. Woot!
I'm finishing work on My Lord Rogue now, the prequel novella for the series and hope to get it out in the next few months. In the meantime, I've got my party hat on. So much to celebrate, even though I'm recovering from the flu. Can you believe it? The flu!
Yes, I've been sick most of this year already, but another trip to the sawbones will hopefully get this all figured out. I don't have time for this. I've got sails to unfurl and adventures of mayhem to plot. Buahahaha! Off with this flu's head!
If you're interested, I'm part of a Writing Process Blog Tour, which started on Novels Alive TV. Check out my post today and visit NAT too, while you're at it. The link is posted on my blog: http://katherinebone.wordpress.com/20...

New Beginnings
So far 2014 has ushered in a six week long sinus infection. (Wonder of wonders.) It's the gift that keeps on giving. Buahahaha!
Light at yon window does break, however. I'm crawling out of my editing cave to let you know that the relaunch of Duke by Day, Rogue by Night with EsKape Press is underway. ARCs have just arrived and the tentative release date is set for March 4th, the 1st anniversary of Lost Treasure's release. Huzzah!!!
I'm in the process of creating the Rogues, Rebels & Rakes Street Team, too, so the trunk is full of more treasure to come. I'm proud to announce my wonderful and talented daughter is recreating my website, which will now include a link to sign up for a newsletter announcing my next release and a link to my blog at: www.katherinebone.wordpress.com. At last, I'll be able to share the latest news with you in one awesome place... my pirate ship!
So as I retreat back into my writing cave, I wish you all a very happy week and a fabulously romantic Valentine's Day!
Blessings,
Katherine

Happy Holidays!
Belated Merry Christmas, Kwanza, and Happy Hanukah wishes, me hearties!!!
I'm late to the partay... again. Why? Though Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year, it's been hectic aboard ship these days..
Years ago, my rogue knew how much I adored Christmas and proposed on Christmas Eve under the Christmas tree. I was all astonishment when I opened my giftie and saw the greatest treasure a woman desires... diamonds! (As an aside, we were opening all of our own presents in order to make the trip to family the very next day.)
Through the years, the holidays have been a whirlwind, especially when our four children came along. But for me, Christmas, twinkling lights, and beautiful soul-stirring music enhanced the mood. This year, however, things were a bit weird. For example: my Christmas tree didn't get put up until 2 days before Christmas AND I didn't finish decorating it until 1:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve. Why? Well, during Thanksgiving I re-injured my neck overdoing it. I know. I know. I should've taken it easy. But physical therapy sessions helped me believe that my neck surgery incisions were healing well. And who can resist lifting their youngest grandchild, eh? (Pirate!)
To make a long story longer... the muscle attached to the incision on the back of my neck tore away. I followed doctor's orders and took it easy, making sure not to lift things until I started feeling better again. As the Grinch would say, "Wrongo!" While I spent the day lifting and trying to organize my ship, the muscle tore away even more, this time with excrutiating pain. So, there I was, injured again with Christmas drawing nigh. Writing was put on the backburner, Christmas presents weren't wrapped until Christmas Eve, and decorations didn't get done until the same day. (smacks head) Leaving everything undone would've been the better choice, but with said youngest grandchild coming to visit again for his very 1st Christmas, these grandparents couldn't allow for this.
I'm still sluggish these days, but managed to have a very Merry Christmas after all. And here the New Year, a sparkling, brand new 2014 is drawing nigh. New years are always like stars, slightly out of reach, but a light drawing us into dreams in the making. Like everyone else, I'm ready to forge ahead and make 2014 the BEST it can possibly be. I've got a new calendar. I'm making plans. And hope to be able to share VERY good news with you all soon where my books are concerned.
Until I'm able to do so, I wish you the BEST of sparkly, bubbly, brand new years. Enjoy celebrating possibilities, me hearties! For that is the most wonderful aspect of 2014.
Blessings,
Katherine

Congrats Giveaway Winners!!!
I've been out of port for quite some time but just sailed in to congratulate my Lost Treasure, Captive Princess Goodreads Giveaway Winners! Huzzah!!!
Raising a special signal flag to Melissa Monette, Angie Baker, Cyndi Jolley, Paula Kisner, and Jennifer Richardson!!! Your Giveaway book and goodies will be reaching you shortly. Woot!
Thanks also to everyone who entered my Goodreads Giveaway Contest! Lost Treasure generated a great deal of entries, surprising me by all accounts, me hearties. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE it!!! And I hope, even if you didn't win, that you'll give the book a try. Living in Italy provided me some of the greatest and most profound memories. Lost Treasure is a book very close to my heart. It's also my first contemporary. Turned out this historical writer could actually write a book set in the present. Who knew? LOL!!!
We have had one of the best seasonal foliage displays where I live in Alabama this year. It's been like gazing out upon a landscape painting every day. That's saying a lot for Alabama in the fall. Usually, leaves dry up and fall off during the first gust of wind. Not so this year, thank goodness.
Take time to look around, luvs. Beauty is all around us.
Blessings,
Katherine

6 Days Left in my Goodreads Giveaway!
Ahoy, me hearties! Or better yet, "Ciao!"
Here's a shout out/signal flag to them what reads this blog post. There are 6 days left in my Lost Treasure, Captive Princess Goodreads Giveaway Contest. That's 5 books in as many countries, lads and lasses. Will you be the one to win a copy of Prince Gian-Paolo's and Carolina's book?
In the meantime, I apologize for being quiet as the grave lately, me lovelies. I'm in week 11 of recovery mode. Improvements are being made every day. In fact, I started my first rehab session today. While I'm not looking forward to pushing my neck's limitations, I'm eager to get my health back. A strong neck will make Kathy a much faster writer. Woot!
As I type away at this little note, I hope you are all sailing toward that adventurous horizon with a magical compass pointing to what you want most. And what would that be? Bingo! A copy of Lost Treasure, Captive Princess in my Goodreads Giveaway Contest. Woot!
Blessings,
Katherine

Thank You!!!
Dear Crewmates,
Thank you so much for helping make my Kindle Daily Deal such a memorable event!!! On September 27th, you helped me become an Amazon Bestselling Author and helped my book climb to #1 on the Regency and Historical Lists. Woot!!! Duke also peaked at #5 on the Literature & Contemporary Fiction list. (Psst! Stephen King had 3 books ahead of Duke by Day. Talk about mind-blowing...) And finally, you helped Duke by Day, Rogue by Night climb all the way to #18 on the All Kindle Paid list!!!
Of course, all good things peak and ebb, just as they do in everyday life. Though my book has slipped down from those lofty heights since Friday, it still seems to be going strong, thanks to YOU, dearest readers and friends!!! AND The Rogue's Prize and Lost Treasure, Captive Princess have shown great spikes in sales as well. Raise the rum!!!
To celebrate, if you still own an IPhone 3GS, don't forget to comment on my blog for a chance to win an IPhone cover with Duke by Day, Rogue's by Night's bookcover design! It's a beauty. I'll also be giving away a Samsung Galaxy 2 cover with the same design very soon. So keep your eyes on the horizon!
Me Port Call: http://www.katherinebone.wordpress.com/
One of the best things about being a writer, besides being able to venture to places I've never been, is sharing my stories with you. You make this journey worth sailing, me hearties!
Blessings,
Katherine
