Today's Book Blast is on Finding Eva by Marie Garner. An contemporary Romance. Enter the giveaway.

SYNOPSIS:
Eva Matthews hates chaos.  She worked hard as a high school teacher and prided herself on the life she had made.  After a secret from her past sent her well-ordered existence spiraling out of control, all she wanted was answers.  Her search led her to Highland Creek and into the arms of the elusive Aaron Sawyer.
Aaron was born a fixer.  Every injured person or animal from miles around was treated to his personal attention, and he thrived on putting out fires as the local lawyer at Highland Creek.  He never found a problem he couldn’t solve until Eva and although misconceptions led to instant dislike, he couldn’t stop himself from trying to heal her battered soul.
Although Eva is more than willing to engage in a summer fling, she isn’t interested in seeking Aaron’s help or complicating her life with anything long-term.  How can the man who lives to fix things stay away?  Could Aaron and Eva turn a summer fling into a serious relationship?

EXCERPT:

He leaned in and kissed her sweetly, laying his lips on hers. It took about thirty seconds before Eva decided that wasn’t enough and opened her lips to him while she reached up and grabbed him on the side of the head. They never seemed to be able to take it slow, their kisses running hot the minute their lips touched. Aaron pulled her closer, trying to get her hips as close as he could despite the tight spot in the car. She assisted, half straddling him as she struggled to get all the way on his lap, pressing her thigh into his arousal. They continued to kiss until she moved to get more comfortable, accidently kneeing his dick in the process.            “Oh shit,” he said, jerking his lips and pushing her to the side while he moved his legs together, trying to protect his dick.             “Oh my gosh!” She gasped, hands over her mouth, moving toward him to help but when he turned away from her to cup his abused penis, she backed away. “I’m so sorry; I don’t know how that happened.”            “It’s … ok …” he struggled to say, his face a surprising shade of red as he tried to breathe through the pain. She kneed the shit out of him, and the pain was horrible. He thought he was dying and wished that something would mercifully cut it off.            “Is there something I can do?” She looked lost, normally not kneeing a guy that she was trying to have sex with. The way he was acting, you would think she had crushed it.            “No, no,” he said, waving her off as he continued to take deep breaths in an attempt to help the constant shooting pain. He rested his head on the window, cupping his penis and breathing deep for what seemed like hours but was probably closer to minutes before he felt like he could talk again. He looked at Eva to see her watching him wide-eyed, not knowing what to say. “Ok,” he said, feeling like he could breathe normally and move gingerly without feeling like he should wish for death. “How about we call it a night because my jewels can’t take any more attention tonight?”  She laughed at his question, causing him to stare at her in wonder. “Are you seriously laughing at me? You did this!”            She grabbed his arm. “I’m sorry,” she said, still laughing, “I can’t help it. You look so sad, and I do feel bad. I have a feeling I am going to be very fond of that part, and I would never do anything to hurt it.” She blinked adoringly at him, and he laughed despite the pain because she looked so funny trying to make sure he wasn’t mad at her.             “Just know next time you hurt it, I will expect you to kiss it and make it better.”            She leaned in with her lips pressed slightly to him. “I would kiss it anytime to make it better.” She leaned closer and their lips connected in a whisper before she turned and left to go inside. Aaron was forced to adjust himself yet again, now uncomfortable for a completely different reason.

I framed his face with my palms and held his gaze. “You can’t hold yourself responsible for other people’s poor decisions.” He slid his fingers up over my wrists. His touch was feather-light, but his warmth seeped deep into my soul. “Ditto.” Tears flowed, and I was helpless to stop them. This was what life was all about, I realized. People were meant to be honest with each other and to trust, not to manipulate. I was more resolved than ever to own up to my mistakes and take charge of my life. This was what I wanted, what I needed. He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. I closed my eyes and drank in his light, his goodness. Jayden’s biggest problem wasn’t that he tried to protect the entire ward—it was that he cared too much. There was nowhere for all of those emotions to go, nowhere he could find solace. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him close. As he tilted his head, I opened to him, eager to drink in his goodness. Let me be your sanctuary. I needed his emotions as much as he needed to give them to me. When he broke away, I was breathless. Breathless, but determined. He had shared a part of himself with me. Now I wanted to share a part of myself with him. While I wasn’t quite ready to share anything about my trial, there was something else I could offer him. “Lucy, wait.” Jayden’s voice sounded panicked as I reached for his belt buckle. “I don’t want to wait.” I flipped the buckle loose and glanced down at his erection, which was growing larger by the second. “I’m tired of waiting.” I wanted to strengthen our connection, to feel him inside of me. The more I learned about Jayden, the more I realized I needed him. Just like he needed me. For the first time in my life, I was making my own decisions. I was deciding to be intimate with Jayden in every way possible, and it felt wonderful. Freeing. I leaned forward to kiss him, but he moved his head at the last minute. “Lucy—I have to tell you something before we do this. It’s about my uncle.” “You’ve said enough.” He’d told me about the demons from his past. No one had ever trusted me like that before, not even Kyle. Trust like that deserved something in return. I didn’t need to hear more, and in that moment, I didn’t want to. “Kiss me,” I said. Before he could respond, I pressed my lips against his. I felt him hesitate, and then it was as if something gave way inside of him. Jayden tilted his head, urging me to open to him. I did and with a groan he invaded my mouth, exploring, tasting . . . “God, Lucy.” He started to touch me and as his fingers brushed over my skin, I knew I was lost.

“Emily, I will be fine. I want you on the table.”
Who am I to argue?
He moves his arm back around to help me down. I do my best to keep most of my weight on me but I know he wants to feel like he helped. I reach up and kiss him for the entire journey over to the table. Before I get myself on the table, Logan slips his hands in the waistband of my shorts and pulls them down. He stands back to look at me and closes his eyes. I walk up to him and almost rip his shirt off. I have been waiting all day to move my hands across this chest. I kiss it, and move my hands down to his jeans and take them off.Logan kisses my lips and backs me up to the table. I start to get up on it but he stops me.
“No baby, turn around.”
“Oh.” I say, excitement coursing through my body.
I lean over the edge of the table. He moves my hair to fall over my shoulder. He kisses my bare shoulder and moves one of his legs between mine. His hand is moving over both of my ass cheeks until he finds what he is looking for. His fingers trace the line that leads to my sweet spot. He no sooner touches it and I almost explode. He moves his finger away before I can. My back arches and that places my head back on his shoulder and I am silently pleading with him to continue.
He places his other leg between mine now and rubs his manhood against me. Oh my God, I think I am going to die. I reach back and grab him because he is going too slowly. I rip his boxers off him and start to guide him into me. I hear Logan laugh but he doesn’t stop me.
“That’s kind of hot babe.” He says and I can hear the smile in his voice.
I lift one of my legs onto the table, for easier access. I get him to where I want him and he moves inside; slow at first and that is ok. This position is foreign to me, I have to get used to it. Once he feels me relax around him, he starts to pick up pace. One of my hands is on the table and the other is on Logan’s leg. My knuckles are turning white from grasping the table so hard. He continues to move at a steady pace and I feel myself climbing, I look up to the ceiling and he starts to move faster. He reaches his arm around to my front for some extra pleasure and that is all it takes. I shatter in his hands. Logan moves a few more times and he is right behind me.
I am utterly spent. I practically sprawl out, naked, on the Moore family dinner table and at that moment, I really couldn’t care less.
“Jesus, Emily!” Logan breathlessly says in my ear.
“That was pretty amazing, Logan. That is definitely something worth repeating.”

“If you’re in trouble, I know some people who can help.”“I’m not in trouble. Really, I’m not. I mean who would want to kill me? I know bankers aren’t exactly popular—” she lets loose a shaky laugh “—but I’m harmless.”Harmless? Not sure about that. Jess sends my heart racing, makes my skin clammy. She’s driving me insane. Harmless? No way.“What do you want me to do?” I ask.“Do?”“Shall I stick around?”“Oh. No, you don’t need to do that.”“I don’t mind.”“I’m fine. Seriously. Thank you for today. You must be tired and I bet your side hurts.”It does, but I’m not going to admit to that. “It’s fine.”“Look about that kiss....”“That was my fault.”“I kissed you.”“You did.” I can’t resist letting my mouth curve upwards. She kissed me, but I don’t know if that’s a bad or a good thing. While my pride basks in it, the voice inside that keeps pulling at my gut wants to scream at her to run while she still can. I’m no good for her. “But I kissed you back,” I point out. “And I should not have been... er... touching you out there.”She draws her bottom lip between her teeth. “It’s okay.”Hell, how do those two tiny words send an arrow of need straight to my cock? It’s okay that I was kissing her? Or touching her up? It’s okay that I want her so badly I nearly bent her over my bike to fuck her? Before I can dwell on it anymore and make an even bigger fool of myself, I get to my feet. “Will you let me stay?”“I don’t think so. It’s too risky.”A hard knot forms in my throat. I’m more dangerous to her than a crazed gunman it seems. She might be right. If—when—I find that money, her whole life is going to come crashing down.“Don’t answer the door to anyone. Be careful. Call me if you need me. In fact, call me tomorrow.” She follows me to the door. “Please?” I add as uncertainty dashes across her face.Jess opens the door and I step out. “I’ll call you,” she says when I turn to face her.“Promise?”She rolls her eyes and her mouth curves. “I promise.”Those lush lips snare my attention and my own smile drops. My skin feels hot and itchy, my pulse urgent. This is insane. I rest an arm against the door frame, my feet still firmly planted on the other side of the threshold and bring my mouth slowly down on hers. She softens but doesn’t touch me. We’re divided by the invisible line between the corridor and her room. I can’t help thinking of it as symbolic. We’re divided by secrets and lies. Not that any of that matters once our lips connect. I swear I’ve never wanted to kiss a woman so much. Kisses are about the end game. But not with Jess. I want to drown in her kisses, to kiss her all day and see if I ever tire of them. I suspect it’s unlikely.

The body of a teenage girl murdered in the Lincoln Houses is just the beginning….. Investigative reporter, Nicole Watkins is assigned to the story, but when she comes face to face with homicide detective Andre Moore, she finds herself guarding more than just her sources. Shaken by the murder of a teenage girl, Detective Andre Moore must put his own emotions aside or risk not only his life, but that of the attractive reporter, but is he strong enough to ignore his growing attraction? Love is the last thing either is looking for but when the case brings them together, the complications of the murders only seem to intensify the attraction. But, is passion enough? Does love stand a chance in the midst of secrets and murder?

Excerpt Chapter OneIt was springtime in New York City; however, I didn’t see as many of the beautiful flowering blooms of Azalea shrubs or the pink and white blooms of the dogwood trees as I did growing up in Charlotte, N.C. The air back home had the sweet aroma of honeysuckles and jasmines, but I still could feel that it was springtime in the air as I briskly walked down the sidewalks of lower Manhattan. The air wasn’t all that fresh above ground, but it sure beat the smell of urine in the subway station. I stopped at a bagel shop to grab my usual breakfast of bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. I’d become such a regular that Luiz, the store clerk, who worked behind the counter already knew my order. He tapped in the amount I owed on the cash register and then handed me a bag containing my breakfast with a big grin on his face. “How are you today, Luiz?” I asked. I should trip him up one day and order something different, I thought. “Good, good,” he said as another customer approached, interrupting him before he got a chance to say more. I looked back to wave, but his attention was focused on helping customers that were starting to flow into the shop. New York City was unlike any city that I’d ever been to. Tall buildings invading the sky, cars jammed in traffic with drivers honking their horns, the smell of food coming from street vendors, street hustlers trying to lure pedestrians to either play card games or to buy something that they were selling and crowded sidewalks where everyone seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere or another. I’d moved there three years ago after my divorce from Michael. As I sat at my desk going through my notes, preparing to go to the 23rd precinct in Harlem to interview detective Andre Moore, my boss, Ryan Blackman, poked his head inside my cubicle to see if I needed any help with the preparation to interview Detective Moore. “Ms. Watkins, this is your first field assignment and I want to make sure that you are prepared for this interview, especially with the nature of the case. I want to make sure that you are able to handle the details,” he said as he tried to read my facial expression. “I can’t afford any fuck ups. I want to be the first to run this story and I need everything you can dig up on this one. I had to pull lots of strings to get you this interview. Don’t make me regret it,” he said firmly.

She graces me with an awesome smile while putting packages in my arms and hanging gift bags from my fingers. In minutes, she has almost the entire contents of the table loaded on me. The only thing left are cards and your gift. “I’ll take these,” she says as she smirks at me. “You good?”“Yeah, I can handle it,” I follow her to her room trying not to drop anything. I make it into her room just as one of the boxes starts to slip. I try to save it, but by doing that two others are falling. I sprint to her bed and open my arms, and all but the one that was originally falling land on the bed. “I hope that wasn’t breakable,” I comment as I glance at the gift on the floor.I hear her laugh behind me. God, I love that sound. “I’m surprised you only dropped one,” she chuckles. “You should have seen your face.”She comes over to the bed still laughing and clears off a place for us to sit. I drop down next to her and pull her into me; I just need to hold her. I breathe her in and I am instantly hard. Why do I always react this way to her when she has no interest? “I missed you,” I whisper. She keeps her head on my shoulder. “I missed you, too, and I’m sorry.” She sits up and pulls away from me so she can look in my eyes. “I never meant to leave you like that, but when Bobby showed up I couldn’t think of anything other than getting in his arms.” She looks down at her hands before speaking again. “I know that hurts you and you have no idea what I would do to take that pain away.”I can’t stay mad at her; I never could. I know she is hurting for me and I love her all the more for it. If she just turned away from me and locked me out of her life, maybe I could get over her. Our lives are intertwined now, her friends are my friends. The only people I talk to from high school are the same ones she talks to; so unless I want to cut ties with all of them, I need to figure out a way to deal. I take her hands in mine, she looks up at me with tears in her eyes and I just want to pull her into my arms and tell her everything is alright and I will be here for her forever. Instead I say, “I know you don’t want to hurt me Lisa, but I can’t tell you that seeing you with Bobby is easy for me. At the same time, I want to see you and be a part of your life.”The tears fall from her eyes and she leans against me. I put my arms around her and hug her wishing I could pull her onto my lap, but that would be hard on both of us. I stroke my hand up and down her back hoping it will be comfort enough because if I touch her any more I won’t be able to stop. I pull back slightly. “Why don’t you open your present?”She grabs the box behind her shaking it lightly; she can hear jingling. I know this is something that she will appreciate and give her a place to go if she needs to think. She looks up at me before opening. “What is it?” She asks me quietly.“Open it and find out,” I tell her with an evil smirk. She rips the paper, opens the box, and gasps at the contents. “Are these keys to your boat?” She takes out the keys attached to a floatable buoy. Her eyes light up and I know I picked the perfect gift.“Yes, I made you a set. You can take it out whenever you want, just make sure you gas it up when you use it. I don’t want to get half way down the river and run out,” I say as I smile at her. “I want to take you out the first time to show you the channels so you don’t run aground again, but after that you have free reign.”Laughing she says, “Well, I wasn’t driving last time we ran aground, but I have no problem going out with you to make sure it won’t happen to me.” She hugs me before adding, “You have no idea how much I need this, thank you.”

I hear his car pull up and am out the door like a bullet. I wave to Arthur in the front seat and the back door open and he is here. I freeze and just look at him. God he looks good enough to eat. He shuts the door and walks up to me and stops. I want to throw myself at him and shove my tongue in his mouth. “Hi, Beautiful.” He lifts his hand to caress my cheek. “God you look good. I missed you.” And that’s it. I grab his hair and pull him down for a kiss. We both groan when our mouths touch. His arms go around me and he picks me up and holds me close. Our mouths open at the same time and our tongues battle for dominance. All thought has left my mind I just want to get closer to him. I wrap my legs around him and use my thighs to push up so my mouth is above his. One of his arms goes under my ass to hold me up. Both my hands are now in his hair my elbows resting on his arms. He nips on my lower lip and I counter by sucking on his tongue. I press my core into his abs and rub myself up and down. He groans against my mouth and squeezes my ass. Finally I need to take a breath and pull away. “Hi, Handsome,” I pant. I release the pressure of my thighs a little so I am more eyelevel with him. “Wow that was some welcome.” He smiles at me. His hand is rubbing my ass sending shivers through my body. One of my hands releases his hair and I caress the five o’clock shadow on his cheek. “Well I missed you too.” I smile back. I kiss him again. I can’t stop. My whole body feels like an electric current is running through it. My hands alternate running from his neck down his back. He is all muscle and I feel his reaction to me as his skin shivers as I go over it. His hand is on my neck holding our mouths together as his tongue searches my mouth. His other hand is kneading my ass almost between my legs. I want his fingers on me, in me. This time it’s him who breaks the kiss and I moan as his lips move away. We look at each other both breathing hard. “You have two choices” he pants. I raise my eyebrow in question. “Either we go inside or I have Arthur drive us back to the city.” As he is talking my hand moves from his back up over his shoulder and is now unbuttoning the top of his polo shirt. Just as he ends his ultimatum my hand moves against his skin between his pecks. His eyes flare and his pupils are so dilated I can’t see any blue at all. It makes my panties even wetter knowing that I’m affecting him like this. He grabs my left leg to get me down and I surprise him with hooking my right leg between his and using his body like a pole to slip down until I’m standing. I haven’t answered him yet and he’s just about to say something as I grab his hand and take a step back towards the house. “We’ll go inside. But we’re going to have to be social for a few minutes. We were watching a movie.” He stops walking and releases my hand. “You have to give me a minute if I have to be around other people.” He looks down with a sheepish look in his eyes and my eyes follow his. I can see his problem bulging out in the front of his pants and I give him a small giggle. “Not funny” he growls. At that I break out into a huge laugh. He looks at me like I’ve lost my head. When I’ve calmed down enough to talk I say, “So nothing’s changed since high school. How many times were we caught together where I had to stand in front of you to block someone’s view?” Now it’s his turn to laugh, “I guess you’re right. But you’re not going to be cruel and wiggle your fine ass against me while we stand there now are you?” I give him an evil grin, “Now why would I do that? It’s not like I enjoy torturing you.” He rolls his eyes and grabs me. “God I’ve missed you. No one else teases me or makes me laugh. And I have never wanted to spank anyone else.” He whispers that last line into my ear and my whole body quakes. “I will swat that sweet ass if you don’t behave.” I look up at him and he is smiling like a kid on Christmas morning. I have to admit it feels so natural this banter with him. I’ve never been this relaxed and turned on at the same time with anyone else. I have to smile back at him because I just feel happy. “I’ll be good. I promise” and this time I mean it.

Author Bio:I’ve been creating my own little world since I was very young. When I was eight years old, I began to bring those worlds to life with pen and paper.
While I write across genres (I find it hard to stick to one genre), I do have an archetype when it comes to the female protagonist — they have to have certain type of strength, strong convictions, and layered personalities. There will often be a lot of darkness and depth to my stories, but I don’t see the point in writing vapid characters who are thrust into “safe” situations.
Writing Science Fiction/Fantasy is my first love. If there is one thing for sure, I'm a bit of a misfit when it comes to Romance. I prefer my romances dark. The elements that will be common in my stories are: depth, controversy, and misfit characters.

Excerpt #1
Anabella emerged from the swimming pool―the rippling water a clear aqua right to the tiled floor―wiping water from her eyes with a brush of her hands, and making sure her hair was neat. She had just swum twenty laps as part of her training program for her upcoming championship and felt good, energized, excited, and ready to compete. She had put in long hours, focused every effort to accomplish this one gold medal; her dream for many years. It would open doors for her future plans and was in reach―she could feel it. Anabella knew she was ready.
“How do you feel, Anabella?” asked Mr. Rhodes, her coach.
“Excellent! I’m not even tired. This was a good workout,” she answered.
“Are your parents bringing you to the venue, or should I pick you up?”
“They are out of town, so I would really appreciate it if you could pick me up.” Although she could easily drive herself to the championship, she preferred to go with someone. The tension and stiffness of sore muscles after a hard race brought numbness to her limbs, which made driving almost impossible.
“Then it is settled. I will pick you up at 7am, sharp. Don’t be late,” her coach said sternly.
“I won’t be, Mr. Rhodes.”
“Go and rest, relax this afternoon, and make sure you are in bed early. Don’t worry about anything; all will be fine. You have worked hard these past few months.”
“Yes, sir.” She knew she had worked hard. The sore muscles were evidence, as well as the fact that she had not spent much time with family or friends. She had enough confidence in her abilities not to be worried at all and loved the competitive side of the sport; racing against a good competitor, and the excitement of winning after giving it her all.
There was solitude once you dove into the water, only you and it, and the lane stretching ahead. Sounds of the crowd did not bother her. At moments like these, she could allow the water to enclose her and swim through the currents created by other swimmers. An unsurpassed sense of freedom and accomplishment ran through her veins, and the adrenaline rushed through her core, making her feel alive. Here, she felt whole, forgetting everything else. Here, she was in control of her surroundings and her own life. Here, she set the pace, overcoming all fears.
It was her home, the place she felt safe. Over the years, the swimming pool had been the only place she’d considered a safe haven in her otherwise dysfunctional life. How she had longed for a healthy family life, to wrap her arms around a loving father and a caring mother, to tell them about her day, to include them in her life. She sighed as she turned away from the pool, burying the negative thoughts wanting to rob her from her jovial mood.
Confidence radiated from her whole posture and she felt good, really good. She never let on what was taking place within her mind. She never allowed outsiders into her life. She was always the outsider, never part of the family concept. Her only confidence came from who she was, as well as her accomplishments in either sports or academics. However, it neither made her arrogant or self-absorbed.
While Mr. Rhodes was talking, she managed to dry herself and put her sweatpants and top on, ready to go to her house.

Excerpt #2
Mr. Richter came in with drinks and a glass of orange juice on a tray, offering it to Anabella and Aldrich. They turned as he spoke from behind them, forcing them to break the gaze they had been sharing for a few minutes, though they were still very much aware of each other.
“Something to drink, Aldrich? Here is your orange juice, Anabella.”
Both reached out, Anabella taking the orange juice, and Aldrich the drink offered to him.
“Thanks, sir. Can I help with the tray?” Aldrich offered.
“It’s fine,” he replied, placing the tray in the hands of his son who had just joined them.
“This is a girl to watch on TV tomorrow, Aldrich,” Mr. Richter said proudly.
Anabella couldn’t help but blush; she was never one for much attention.
“Tomorrow, she will bring a gold medal or two back for swimming. As a community, we are very proud of her accomplishments.” Admiration was evident on Mr. Richter’s face when he looked at her.
For a moment, Anabella thought about her parents, who didn’t care or ever speak to her in the same manner as Mr. Richter. They never gave her any attention. As parents, they missed it completely. For a fleeting moment, a sad look appeared in her eyes, a look that Aldrich didn’t miss before the sparkle returned.
Aldrich wondered what could have upset this vibrant girl. The air around her was filled with energy and excitement; so why then the brief sadness? He knew very little about her, but he wanted to be the one who could wipe that sadness away. He wanted to know more.
“Thanks, Mr. Richter, you are very kind. Now I know I have to bring back the gold medal,” Anabella replied softly, the blush still on her cheeks. She could feel Aldrich’s gaze and looked away, hoping to find Monica somewhere in the room. However, she was nowhere to be seen.
“I only say it because it is true, Anabella. You have worked hard.”
“Thank you, sir.” She accepted the praise, taking a sip of her orange juice in an attempt to swallow past the lump in her throat.
“It is a lovely evening, spring is in the air; I can smell it. Let’s go outdoors, tables and chairs have already been put outside. Make yourselves comfortable and enjoy the evening,” Mr. Richter said to the group.
“I know I will enjoy the evening,” said Aldrich, and he looked down at Anabella.
A pleased look appeared in those big, blue eyes as she spoke to Mr. Richter. “Thanks again, sir.”
Anabella looked up to find Aldrich’s gaze on her. A delighted chill ran down her spine. His words had sounded like a promise of enjoyment―only meant for her.
Mr. Richter chuckled, adding playfully, “Enjoy, you two.”
Aldrich grinned with delight, taking a sip of his drink.
The blush on her face said it all.

EXCERPT:
"Savannah, I am so sorry about my mother. I don't know what came over her, but she was wrong about us, about you. I don't care what she thinks anyway. Nothing else matters except that you belong with me. You feel it too don't you?"
I wanted to deny him. I wanted to slap him. I wanted to kiss him again.
Suddenly he ran his hand down my arm to my wrist pulling me across the lobby behind him. When we reached the business center, he threw open the door to one of the private network communications booths and pushed me inside, checking to make sure no one had seen us go in before he followed me and shut the door behind him.
The room was maybe four feet across and five feet deep with a built in desk taking up most of the space. Luke loomed over me, filling what was left with his broad shoulders. I felt cornered, and downed my entire glass of wine to try and ease my nerves. I set my glass down on the desk, backing into it to put a little distance between us. If that was even possible in here.
He stepped toward me, placing his hands on my hips again, but this time dragging my dress up. "What are you doing?" I gasped, trying to yank it back down.
"I'm going to lift up this sexy as hell dress, pull your panties aside, and have my way with you in this booth."
Holy shit! I was hot. All he had to do was touch me and I was going to burst into flame. I closed my eyes trying to steady my racing pulse.
My dress was now around my waist. Luke pressed one hand firmly against my shoulder, seating me on the desk. He trailed his hand up my outer leg to my thigh and the rolled it to the inside. I heard him inhale.
"Caroline Foster!" My eyes snapped open and found his. "You are a woman after my own heart. No panties?"
I smiled devilishly. "Not with a dress like this."
