RUMORS_#THROWBACK THURSDAY
It's another #throwbackthursday. But not just any #tbt. As you know this entire week has been about gossip. If you've missed any of the posts, you can click them below to catch up. And don't forget to come back tomorrow for a little game of gossip and a rather fun dance video. The gossip is: little Kylie Jenner has had numerous plastic surgeries. Of course those rumors have been denied. Whether they are true or not, doesn't matter...she's got everybody talking, heads turning, and now she's supposedly carrying rapper Tyga's baby. Gossip or truth? I don't really care...but since we're keeping up with gossip this week...
Lil' Kim has definitely had her share of plastic surgery. Truth is when I see pics of her these days people have to tell me that it's her. That's not the rapper that I recall from the days. I'm not so sure why she did it, because she wasn't that bad looking in the first place. But then again, I guess that's why I'm not in the business. Because at the end of the day...I'm gon' be me!
This is another one that I don't understand. I like Nikki...but she was a beautiful girl before the surgery. I'm still saying, hmmm, over this one. I guess.
How you doin'? And Mrs. Gossip Queen herself. I watch Wendy, but I don't necessarily agree that she needed surgery. We all know about Wendy's past...maybe she just needed some healing, not necessarily surgery. You be the judge...well, not necessarily. Hey, she's rolling the dough so truthfully she could care less what you or I have to say. Well that's a wrap for our gossip #tbt.
Wait! One more #tbt pic, and she didn't have surgery...
Okay now it really is a wrap, and this girl is hanging up her gossiping hat until tomorrow. Because that's not me anyway. But before I do, I got one simple message for you, click the picture below...
I hope you enjoyed this post. If so, please share it with others by clicking the social media icon below. Thanks for dropping in and as always please leave a comment, because I just love chatting with you. You can link up with me online using the icons above. Until the next time I'm just...

BEAUTY SHOP GOSSIP_WRITER WEDNESDAY
In keeping with this week's theme, #writerwednesday is bringing you nothing but gossip! And where's the best place to get it? Straight from the beauty salon of course. And not just any beauty salon girlfriend, you've got to get it from The House Of BeJeweled.BEJEWELED: THE FLIGHT OF AN ANGEL
CHAPTER TWO EXCERPT_BEAUTY SHOP GOSSIP
Belinda placed her curlers down on her curling stand and sashayed her ample hips over to Tyrone and squeezed him tight, in a loving hug and kissed his cheek. “Boy, you know I loooove me some you,” she said and flashed him a wide toothy grin. Angel with the rest of the team fell into a fit of giggles. At that moment Tyrone’s cell phone went off to the tune of R. Kelly’s “Down Low.”
“Ame, do you mind if I take this call real quick?” he asked his client, holding his cell phone up in his hand.
“N’all, Ty, go ahead,” she answered, getting comfortable in her chair.
“Alright, girl, I’ll be back,” he said and pranced toward the front of the salon and through the double doors.
“Belinda, you know you were wrong for that. You know how sensitive he is about that situation,” Angel said in defense of her colleague, as she shook her head at Belinda.
“Awww, Angel, Ty know I’m just teasing him, baby,” Belinda said, as she focused on swooshing the bangs on her client, Juanita’s hair, to finish the barrel curl style she created.
Angel loved the way Belinda and Darla mothered her and the other stylists and beauty team in the salon. But while she knew their love and affection for the other workers was genuine, she knew they were fierce on the other end of that spectrum with their gossiping ways. Too often she had been at the other end of it and it didn’t feel good at all. Despite the love and affection they showed, their attitudes about gossiping could be downright suffocating, just as in a real family.
“What’s the deal with that? Why does he want to set you up with somebody knowing you’re married?” Ame asked, diverting the conversation back to its origins.
Angel felt a knot in her stomach forming, realizing she hadn’t escaped the topic of her marriage after all. She was determined to alter its outcome and decided to give an explanation before Belinda could start her antics again. “Alex and Ty have been good friends for several years. They used to play high school football together. Ty has always been somewhat feminine and he says he was always teased about it as far back as he could remember. He joined the football team, because his dad thought it would toughen him up,” Angel explained.
“Obviously it didn’t. It kills me when parents try to force their views of what their children’s lives should be like on their kids,” Belinda stated, shaking her head. She had never had children of her own, and Angel didn’t know why, but she did know that was a story Belinda wasn’t willing to gossip about.
“Yeah,” Angel continued, “well he was great on the football team, but obviously that didn’t stop his teammates from teasing him. One day things got out of hand and a fight broke out, and Alex stuck up for him, even though it brought negative attention his way. People started trying to spread rumors about the two, or say something about Alex’s masculinity, but they quickly stopped when Alex whooped their butt.”
“Is he gay, too? Or feminine?” Ame asked.
“No, he’s not. He’s really nice and actually quite attractive, but no he isn’t gay. So anyway, where was I?” Angel asked trying to get back on track.
“You were talking about when Alex beat the guys up on the football team,” Darla helped.
“Oh yeah. So anyway, when Ty first came out of the closet, Alex was the first person he told and Alex never judged Ty or quit being his friend. So all these years they’ve been cool. And Ty is thirty-one now. Then a couple of years ago their friendship almost came to an end.”
“Why?” Ame inquired.
“Ty shared his feelings with Alex and Alex set him straight,” Angel’s eyes glassed over thinking back to that day.
“Mmmhmmm” agreed the other ladies.
“The bad part about it was he did it on Valentine’s Day here at the shop when Alex dropped by to bring all the ladies flowers and candy.”
“Yeah, I told that chile later if he was gon’ do it, it shoulda been done in private with him and Alex,” Belinda shared.
“Honey, I think he was scared if he did it between just them two, Alex would whoop his butt,” Darla said.
“Naw, Alex ain’t like that. But who wanna be put out there like that? Anyway, Angel go on with your story, baby,” Belinda said, with a wave of her hand dismissing the off-track commentary.
“Well, Ty was the only one who knew Alex was coming to surprise us. And Ty had planned a surprise of his own. A singing telegram showed up right after Alex did. The serenade was all about how Ty felt about Alex,” Angel explained.
“It would’ve been hilarious if it hadn’t been so sad,” Darla said.
“Yeah, that doggone man come up in here dressed in a white Hershey’s kiss outfit, white tights and patent leather shoes and all. Kinda foolishness is that?” Belinda demanded.
Angel’s laughter was contagious and had the other ladies laughing as well.
“Oh my goodness,” she said as she tried to compose herself and wipe the tears from her eyes. “Anyway, that poor man got his little card and balloons knocked out his hand, he fell all into the reception area over there,” Angel said, pointing at the receptionist desk to the right of the front door. “Maya, our receptionist, was terrified. Her already big eyes looked like they were about to pop out of her head, when Alex and Ty came crashing into her desk. And then she was trapped back there.” Angel started laughing again uncontrollably.
“Humph, I thought they was gonna tear it up in here that day,” said Kianna, popping her gum loudly.
“So they started fighting?” Ame asked, sitting up in her chair.
“Girl, yeah. They was rolling in here,” Kianna replied, boxing her fists around to demonstrate the action of that fateful day.
“Why was they fighting, because he told him how he felt about him?” Ame asked with a disbelieving smile on her face, as she shook her head.
“Well, not at first. Alex turned really red because he was embarrassed. But then he wanted to leave because I don’t think he knew how to deal with the embarrassment, and when Ty tried to stop Alex from leaving, Alex blew up at Ty,” Angel explained.
“Tyrone snapped on Alex and went on and on about how he never knew he was homophobic, and boyyyy they squared off. Ty was holding his own, the boy can throw down. It was a good match, because they could both throw some blows. But it’s a good thing Angel’s husband showed up then; cuz he had to pull Alex back and we jumped in and grabbed Ty. Girl, all the muscles and fineness up in here that day. MMmm! Because I don’t care what anybody says, gay or not, Tyrone is fine as hell! Mm mmm mm!” Kianna exclaimed, recalling the day.
“Yeah, good thing,” Angel replied, in a sobering tone and rolled her eyes.
“That po’ delivery boy was flustered, chile,” Belinda said as she finished up Ms. Juanita’s hair.
“Wow, that’s crazy,” Ame remarked. “But Angel, why does he keep trying to set you up with him?” Ame asked.
“Probably because he feels guilty about how he played Alex. I don’t know,” Angel mumbled. She knew why Tyrone wanted to set her up with Alex, but she just wanted to drop the subject. Angel didn’t believe Ame meant any harm with her line of questioning, but she also understood that Ame didn’t know about Angel’s history with her husband, Black.
“But doesn’t he know that you’re married with a kid?” Ame asked.
“Yes, Ty knows that,” Angel stated.
“Oh,” Ame commented, quietly.
“Ty can be pushy like that. Baby, we all just ignore him sometimes, and you gon’ learn it, too,” Belinda commented, “He got issues with relationships because of his own past. So, he don’t have no faith in the institution of marriage, and ‘specially not in husbands. He think all husbands trifling. But that’s his issue, don’t pay him no attention, honey.”
“Mmhmmm,” “I know that’s right,” all the ladies replied in unison. GET YOUR EBOOK COPY FOR $0.99 OR THE PAPERBACK TODAY: BEJEWELED THE FLIGHT OF AN ANGELI hope you enjoyed this post. ARE YOU A VAULT, OR DOES YOUR LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS?
I was watching an episode of “The Real” on Friday. That’s my show, and those are my girls! They were discussing gossiping and whether or not they could keep secrets. The discussion focused on how men were bigger gossips than women, although people usually believe the opposite.
Gossip can be entertaining and funny as we discuss marriages, births, new relationships, who came into a windfall and so on. Yet, it can be alternatively devastating to someone's life if it turns malicious. Some people don't care whether or not it turns malicious, if it's gossip then they want to be a part of it. They will even make up something if they don't have anything to gossip about. I've found that these type people are usually bored or dissatisfied with their own lives, so they make up false facts or flawed facts about the lives of others. False facts are flat out lies, whereas flawed facts usually have an element of truth to it, but the gossiper has added some "hot sauce" (to use my husband's words) to make the story more interesting.
Well, I took to Facebook to get a few of my friends' opinions. There were four focus questions and not surprisingly the answers remained somewhat the same, with a little variation in the reasoning. Here are the questions and the answers:
Do you listen to gossip? 50% of respondents said they do listen to gossip, and 50% said no. Of those who said they do listen to it, they believed it was difficult not to listen to it and if it turned into bashing or disparaging comments about others they disengaged. Some felt they only listened to be nosy. Of those who didn't listen to gossip they had an overwhelmingly negative reaction to gossip. They had either been victims of gossip or believed it was simply malicious to be a part of it in any form. Do men gossip more than women? 75% of respondents believed men and women gossip equally. When it comes to someone telling you their secrets do you consider yourself "a vault" or do you adhere to the saying "loose lips sinks ships?" 75% said they are a vault and don't tell secrets. However, some stated that they don't share the secrets if it was told to them in confidence. That leaves me to interpret if they weren't asked to keep it in confidence, then those loose lips just might be sinking some ships. LOL! I'm just saying...If you do gossip, what is the determining factor of whether or not you're going to share the gossip? 33% of respondents said they do participate in gossip, as in being the gossiper. But they stated they had good reasons. Their reasons were either for informative purposes, believing the recipient of the gossip needed to hear the information, or if it was over a common interests (e.g., love of books).
Well now that I've put them out on blast, I guess I have to keep it "real" and put myself on front street as well. So here are my answers to those same questions:
Do you listen to gossip? I am a bit nosey so I want to hear what's being said about whom. Now if the gossip centers around who broke up with whom, whose getting in a relationship, or whose having a baby, I like that kind of gossip. But if the gossip is malicious and spreading untrue rumors about others, then I want no part of it. If I believe the parties involved in the gossip would have a problem with what's being said, or be hurt by what's being said then I find a friendly way to shut it down without listening further. I have even been known to chastise the person spreading the gossip in a loving, Christian manner. I simply point out the impact that the gossip could have, but more often than not I politely change the topic of conversation. I grew up in a family full of gossiping women and they still gossip the same as they ever did...even about each other. And unfortunately I have been a victim of that malicious gossip even at the hands of my own family. Do men gossip more than women? I wouldn't say more than but about the same amount. Although, I have seen some men that gossip more than women. Now as I say this, I have been around plenty of men growing up who gossiped, and even now the men that I've been around gossip. When it comes to someone telling you their secrets do you consider yourself "a vault" or do you adhere to the saying "loose lips sinks ships?" I have grown to become a vault. I wasn't always that. As I said I grew up in a family full of gossiping women and I wanted to be a part of it just as much as they were. Yet, when I became the victim of it I started changing my mindset. As I continued to grow and especially after becoming a Christian that mentality completely changed. The most important part of that change was honoring my husband and representing who he is and what he stands for. He always holds others' secrets near and dear to his heart. I've learned to do the same, out of a love for the people who trust me and the respect that I have for them.If you do gossip, what is the determining factor of whether or not you're going to share the gossip? If I do gossip it's usually about something silly, as I said in #1 who's having a baby, who's getting in a relationship, those kind of things. I love that kind of stuff because it's usually considered good news and I can't wait to celebrate that person. But if it isn't good news to that person, then I leave it alone. That gossip also is restricted to my family members. And I feel I can do that because I have mad love for them and it's never malicious gossip!
So that's me keeping it 100! What about you? If the same four questions above were posed to you, how would you answer them? Have you ever been a victim of malicious gossip?

THROW SHADE OR KEEP IT POPPING_MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY MOMENT
Gossip can be entertaining: occasionally, I've heard the most fascinating things about myself I never knew.
Vanna Bonta
Hello! Hello! Hello glamorous people! This week is all about the G-O-S-S-I-P! So join us as we warn against it, discuss it, play with it, and engage in it! Throw on your shades, because this week we're going to be tossing a whole lot your way.Sometimes we find it entertaining to participate in gossip, because we hear some of the funniest things, or find ourselves no longer bored. There are other times when the gossip centers around someone we don't even like, and it suits our purpose to engage in the gossip. Or, so we think. But what happens when the gossip is about you? What happens when the gossipers are the ones who supposedly love you? Do you engage or disengage?I have first hand experience in wanting to launch a counter-attack against those defaming my name. I want to be the first one to pick up the phone to call and tell them about themselves. I want to check everyone in the situation and let them know, "you don't know who you're messing with."But that's pointless. You see, when you know who you are, Whose you are, what you're doing and what you're all about, you have nothing to prove to no one except you. You don't have to go toe to toe with the offender. That's the first step to losing the battle.
My husband taught me something that empowered me. He stated that when people launch an attack against you, then that's the time for you to take the "proverbial step back." Try to get an understanding of who you are and what you could have done to contribute to the situation that's going on. If you know that you haven't done anything wrong, then you can have peace in knowing that you gave your best.
Engaging in these back and forth disputes with others only allows them to win. The enemy gains victory when he can control your mind enough to believe you have to make a stand on your name. You begin calling others, taking to social media, and doing everything possible to sway people to your perspective. This may even include you casting aspersions on the other person's character. That's exactly what they want you to do. Because you begin to make people wonder whether the gossip is true or not. It creates drama, which enables the other person to continue clowning on you. In the end people are going to choose to believe what they want about you. Don't give them further ammunition by engaging in the back and forth side show. No matter what they say, if it isn't creating issues for your physical or mental health, keep it moving and don't engage. Their shady character is their problem, not yours. Don't throw shade back at them. Instead, put on your shades and keep it popping, baby!

OLIVIA IN THE MIDST OF THE SCANDAL_WRITER WEDNESDAY
Today's #writerwednesday brings you another sample of the second book in The House of BeJeweled series. "BeJeweled: What A Tangled Web We Weave." This book will be released late winter, early spring. Today's excerpt takes place in the beauty shop...and Kianna's not done with them yet. Scandal has broken out. What will Olivia do now?
BEJEWELED: WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE
CHAPTER SIXTEEN_"STRANGE NEWS" EXCERPT:
“What the hell is going on?” Belinda asked with her hands on her ample hips. Frown lines creased the folds of dark brown skin around her eyes and across her forehead. She laid down her beveling iron to move closer to the TV screen. There wasn’t an eye that wasn’t glued to that tube, except for Olivia’s. She was closing the blinds over the windows of the shop. When the waiting clients in the lobby noticed what she was doing, they jumped up to do the same thing.
“Mrs. O, come here and check this out,” Tyrone called.
“…and it happened right here in this very shop. Here’s a clip of that fight that occurred back in the spring.” The TV panned to a very clear shot of Angel and Kianna brawling in the middle of the hair section of BeJeweled.
When the shot panned back out from the video clip, the reporter continued with her spiel. “And this is the same salon that’s expanding into Buckhead. According to sources, the young lady in the white and green, who started the altercation as you saw in the video clip, is still working for the salon. The young lady who was assaulted apparently has been terminated from the salon. Kianna Miller was a top stylist in the city of Atlanta, wanted by many salons. However, after intimate footage of her and her boyfriend was leaked, she has not been able to get another job. When asked how she felt about the turn of events, this is what she had to say.” The reporter fell silent as the camera went to pre-recorded footage.
“I felt betrayed. We had all been close friends in that shop, and she made accusations against me that were unfounded. She broke into my home, took pictures of my boyfriend and me in an intimate setting, and uploaded it onto all kinds of social media sites,” Kianna paused a moment and wiped tears from her eyes with a crumpled tissue in her hand. She sat on a sofa next to Black, who was holding her left hand as she told her story to the news reporter interviewing her.
“I understand she was angry because their relationship ended, but it did not end because of me. After she put those pictures out there, he lost his job, and I lost mine.” Black nodded his head and then rubbed Kianna on the back to offer comfort. Then Kianna continued on. “But somehow, she seems to have not only gotten her position back, but she’s been promoted to a higher position. And my boyfriend and I struggle to provide a living for ourselves.”
“So what would you like to see come from this, Ms. Miller?” the reporter on the pre-recorded interview asked.
“I don’t want her to go to jail or anything like that, because she has a son to take care of. At first, I wanted to press assault charges against her, but I felt so bad for her baby. It’s not his fault his mother did what she did, and he shouldn’t have to be deprived of time with her. Although, it does worry me that she could possibly turn that violence towards him, too. What I do know is I’m suing her for assault and battery and Olivia Morris for wrongful termination.”
“Ms. Baxter, you do understand that Georgia is an at-will state, meaning an employer can terminate you at any time with or without cause or notice?”
“I know, but I’m not really at liberty to discuss the details of the lawsuit now,” Kianna responded on camera with a shake of her head.
That back stabbing hussy. How dare she get on TV and spread all those lies? Olivia thought. Olivia’s eyes squinted into tight, little slits. She could not recall the last time she had been this angry.

2015 GOALS_TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY
TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY
Towards the end of last year I wasn’t as diligent as I should have been on the blog. There were some weeks that I didn’t post at all. That was so unlike me, but as many of you know, our home caught on fire at the end of September 2014. Since then, we have been living like nomads, traveling from one place to another, either every two weeks or every month, while our home is being renovated. It was hard to keep up with the blog and my writings during that time. But I tried. We’re still not back at home, but I’m striving to keep up with my posts and writings. I definitely completed a lot for my books during the holidays and I’m feeling accomplished. So I began to think about what I wanted to achieve this year. I compiled a list below, and much of this I will post on the blog and allow you to enjoy the experience with me. I look forward to your comments and input, as I strive to make our experience more interactive this year.
My objectives for 2015:
· Publish three books (two of which will be in The House of BeJeweled series).
· Collaborate with my romance author friends to bring you 20 Days of love, with book excerpts and giveaways in the month of February.
· Sharing excerpts from my books previously published and yet to be released, giving away gift certificates, books, and more during March Madness. We’re celebrating my birthday all month! In the words of London Tipton...Yay, Me! (For those of you who don't have kids or teens, that's a character from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody).
· Create a bucket list and do one thing from that list this year. Could I be going to New York and doing Broadway with my dear friend Tiff? Hmm…
· Reconnect with my girlfriends, Glynnis and Alimah.
http://www.iamthatgirl.com· Reinvent date nights for my husband and myself and I’m taking ideas from you! So be on the lookout for these posts.
· Give everything my best.
What do you wish to accomplish this year? What would you like to see on the blog? I hope you enjoyed this post. If so, please share it with others by clicking the social media icon below. PLANTING OF A NEW YOU_MONDAY MOTIVATIONAL MOMENT
Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later. – Og Mandino
Hi my people! I'm so excited that it’s the dawning of a New Year. And welcome back to Writing My Dreams. It's our first Monday Motivational Moment post of the year. I'm determined to get your week and year started off on the right foot. Most of us are returning to school and/or work. My kids return to school on tomorrow and I return to work. My first thought was that I wasn’t ready for a return to the hustle and bustle of daily work, traffic, early mornings, and homework for the kids. I had to analyze my attitude. Why was I feeling this way? I realized it stemmed back to a layoff that I had in 2009 at the end of the year. I was re-employed a mere three weeks later, but I haven’t given 110 percent of myself since then.
I’m a hard worker, but going that extra mile? Not so much. I always used to go above and beyond without a question. But somewhere along the line I lost that level of dedication because I believed they didn’t have that same level of commitment for me. Eye opening moment? It’s not meant for me to go above and beyond because the company is dedicated or loyal to me like that. It’s meant for me to go above and beyond because I am giving my personal best. I’m not just working for the company, I’m working for me. So that I can be the excellent, dedicated, empowered, woman that I know lives inside of me. I’m working for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because He requires that I be my best at all time.
This GG (God’s girl) is ready for a new year, a new attitude, new records of my personal best, and that includes at home, at work, and in everything that I do.
I encourage you to take a personal assessment of your attitude as well. It’s a New Year and time to get moving on to a new you. If you have been lacking in a particular area in your life, dig deep to the root cause to determine why. How did you get to this place in life? How is it impacting your life and others around you? How can you turn it around? Because I guarantee you, if you have that lackadaisical attitude towards one element of your life, that attitude is seeping into other areas of your life.
1. Take a step back, reflect, regulate, and resolve.
2. Reflect on the situation that changed your attitude.
3. Regulate your attitude so that you can make the changes needed.
4. And resolve to give your personal best this year, regardless of the challenges you face.
After all you’re not just doing it for you, there’s a greater purpose. I hope you enjoyed this post. If so, please share it with others by clicking the social media icon below. WRITER WEDNESDAY_LOVING HER MAN
Today's #writerwednesday excerpt is for adults only. I'm bringing just a little bit of heat to close out 2014, with a hint of desperation in the sample from the second part of The House of BeJeweled series: What A Tangled Web We Weave.
This #wip is still unreleased. Ladies, have you ever had a man that people just didn't understand how you put up with what you put up with from him? One of those men that you even questioned your own sanity on some days? Well that's the type of man that Nikki is loving. And she just can't stop. Especially when his loving is oh so good! What happens when the good loving you get isn't good for you?
EXCERPT: BEJEWELED: WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE
CHAPTER 7_LOVING HER MAN
Fresh from the shower and toweled dry, Nikki pulled her husband back into the bedroom. Leaning her head back, she gave him full access to her neck. Carlos’ warm breath tickled her neck as he took tiny nips at the expanse of her caramel skin. When she looked back into his eyes, she could see the love there. Carlos bent down and swooped her into his arms, taking her to their bed.
Long, slender fingers caressed her breasts and flicked her nipples back and forth as he studied them like a schoolbook. Slowly lowering his head, he took one full breast into his mouth and suckled greedily like a hungry baby. Nikki wiggled her hips, wanting to feel him inside of her as she felt her nipples tighten. Using both of her hands to clasp the back of his head, she refused to let him pull away. She released him after he bit her nipple ever so slightly.
Carlos moved slowly back up her body and licked her luscious lips. She parted her lips and used her tongue to invite his to enter in. Tasting the faint hint of alcohol on his breath even after he had brushed his teeth, she broke the kiss sooner than she expected.
“What’s wrong, babe?” he asked, watching her through eyes half closed, drunk with lust.
“Nothing. Flip over,” she commanded, pushing up on her elbows.
Carlos followed her command, and Nikki straddled him. She showered his face with her tender kisses before moving down to his chest. She rubbed her hands across his pectoral muscles, liking the tight feel and strength she found there. Easing her tongue out to taste him, she continued traveling down until she had made her way to his thighs.
It had been such a long time since she had pleasured him in this manner. But his penis was pushing upwards toward her, begging for the loving she had showered on his face and chest.
Slowly, Nikki took him in between her lips and sucked. Feeling her husband arch his hips up towards her, she began to take the fullness of him into her mouth. She did not stop until she had the entire length in her mouth.
“Aww, girl,” he moaned. Carlos pulled her long, black, curly hair into his hands and pulled as he continued to work his hips. Up and down Nikki worked her mouth in tandem with his movements, pleasuring her man. She hungrily took him in as though she were getting her own fill of nourishment.
“Baby, where do you want me to release it?” he asked, never stopping his movements.
“Inside of me, Papi,” she murmured, pulling him out of her mouth.
“Okay, just give me a few more minutes of that pleasure girl.”
Nikki continued on until he was about to explode. When he pulled out of her, he flipped her onto her back and roughly entered her.
Nikki spread her legs as wide as she could to accommodate his body. Wrapping her arms around his shoulders, she held on tight as he pumped in and out of her. Gone were all thoughts of argument and the fight they had this morning. Gone were all the thoughts of the fight from yesterday morning.
The only thing that mattered in this moment was that she was connecting with her husband once again. In these times, she was able to forget all of their problems and let go and let him love on her for just a moment. She began to recall how often they made sweet love in their earlier years. She recalled how much they had both wanted a little one to call their own. She began to think of what a beautiful baby they would make together. And then, she clasped her legs tightly around his back and lifted her hips to meet each of his powerful thrusts.
“Nikki!” he moaned as with one last powerful thrust, he released all of his seed into her. She clung on tighter as she welcomed everything he had to pour inside of her. She only hoped that this time, it would result in a baby. If you enjoyed this post, I encourage you to share it with others by clicking the social media icon below. OPEN YOUR HEART_MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY MOMENT
Sometimes the storms of life come against us and we are battered away to the point we almost feel like drowning. Sometimes, we don't feel as if we can stand on our own two feet any longer, not knowing good from bad, or up from down. All we see is black and we don't know who to trust or how to move forward.
This last year has been very challenging for my family and me on every front. But God, held us close to Him and has kept us through it all. At times when I've wondered how we would survive and times when I was amazed at how I was still holding on, I realized it was His peace surrounding me and His grace keeping me. It wasn't of my own accord that I stood, but His.
During the last week as I stood by my husband's side as he and his siblings and parents buried his oldest brother, we had other attacks launched against us. These attacks were internal, other family members were assaulting from both sides of the family. The attacks that I withstood were by those I least suspected would want to hurt me. But yet, I continue to hang on. I'm so thankful that I have the relationship with Jesus that I do. I know that without Him, I could not make it through.
I have had to make decisions that I was uncertain if I wanted to make or not, and not sure what decision to make. But as I was preparing for a meeting this past weekend, I heard Yolanda Adams' song, "Open My Heart." It made me think about how I wanted to push people back because of the hurt that I endured. I can't give up on those people, because Jesus didn't give up on me. I can protect myself and my immediate family, but I don't have to completely close my heart. It's time to move forward and keep moving on. But I can only do that with a heart of forgiveness. You see, it's not those around us that's attacking us, it's the enemy using those around us to attack us. But God showed me this weekend, that "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4.
Open your heart to forgive those who have wronged you, love on those closest to you, and trust God to lead the way.
Be blessed my people.

WRITER WEDNESDAY_A NECESSARY LOVE
Today's #writerwednesday sample highlights a piece from my next release, BeJeweled: What A Tangled Web We Weave. This particular story is the second book in The House of BeJeweled series. I had originally scheduled it to be released in October; however, the house fire that we had at the end of September caused me to place the project on hold.
I am currently looking at a release date after the first of the year. I promise when I know the exact time frame...you'll be the third to know, coming in only after my husband and myself. Well on to the point. Here's an excerpt for your reading pleasure. I hope you enjoy.
BEJEWELED: WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE
CHAPTER 10: A NECESSARY LOVE
Nikki was unsure how long she had been out. But when she came to, bright lights were surrounding her and strange faces were staring back at hers.
“Where am I?” she asked, the kind elderly lady looking into her eyes.
“Atlanta Medical Center. Honey, can you tell me your name?” the lady asked.
“Huh?”
“I need you to tell me your name.”
“Nekana Vincent.”
“And do you know what today is?”
Nikki shook her head to clear it, but regretted it as soon as she did. It felt as if her head were about to explode.
“Umm, it’s…it’s October 12th,” she recalled that Mrs. O had just gotten married yesterday.
“Do you know what happened to you, honey?” the lady asked.
Nikki turned her head towards the wall. She didn’t want to talk about it, she recalled exactly what had occurred between her and her husband. She was not only hurt, but she was furious at Carlos. Never had he caused her to enter the hospital. In the past, the situations had always been able to be handled by the two of them. The police had been called by the neighbors in the past when things had gotten too loud, but Carlos had learned to keep things under control as much as possible.
“There are two police officers standing outside this door that would like to speak to you.”
Nikki still refused to speak. She didn’t know what they expected but she refused to get Carlos into any trouble. She wanted everyone to just leave her alone. If only there were one friendly face in the crowd, she could make it through the rest.
“Mrs. Vincent, I’m Dr. Carney and we’re all worried about you. You have a mild concussion, and we want to keep you overnight for observation. There is severe bruising to your ribs and you have suffered a mild hematoma to your left eye, which is a collection of blood outside of the blood vessels. I would like to have you X-rayed to take a closer look at your ribs, as there is a hematoma there as well. But we will schedule that soon. I want you to get some rest and I will inform the two police officers that you have only five minutes and then they must leave.”
“What time is it, doctor?” It was the first question she had asked since learning her location.
“It’s 2:33 in the morning,” Dr. Carney replied, looking at her watch.
“Thank you.”
“Oh by the way, you have another gentleman outside waiting to see you. He can visit for a few moments after the police officers leave.”
“Who is it?”
“His name is Wesley King,” Dr. Carney said, consulting the chart in her hand.
“Thank you…Dr. Carney?”
“Yes, Mrs. Vincent?” Dr. Carney turned back around.
“Is there a mirror that I can see?”
“Sure give me just a moment,” the doctor went into the bathroom and brought back a small hand-held mirror.
After checking her bruises and swelling she had hidden the mirror underneath the covers, and fought back the tears. Nikki had not been cooperative with the police officers at all, despite their reassurances that they would catch her husband.
