Wilson later shared another clip showing Sortor being led away in handcuffs. “Portland PD arrested a journalist, but none of the domestic terrorists,” he said.

At this time, the charges, if any, remain unknown. As of this writing, Portland PD has not released a statement explaining why Sortor was detained.
Earlier in the evening, Sortor had been posting live updates on X from outside the Portland ICE facility, where a group of patriots gathered with signs thanking immigration officers.
Sortor wrote:

The arrest of Nick Sortor comes after Katie Daviscourt, a reporter for The Post Millennial and Human Events, was viciously attacked by a female Antifa terrorist on Tuesday evening.
The Antifa terrorist hit Katie Daviscourt in the face with a flag pole, leaving her with a nasty black eye.
The police told Katie Daviscourt it was too dangerous to go in and make an arrest after Antifa terrorists took over a portion of the city.
Katie Daviscourt appeared on Fox News on Wednesday evening and told host Jesse Watters that Portland Police Chief Bob Day should resign in disgrace.

Hulu set to launch worldwide as Disney+ plans for makeover
Hulu is heading overseas. Disney has confirmed that Hulu will replace the Star tile inside Disney+ internationally from 8 October, with a fully unified app experience planned for next year.
The move turns Hulu into Disney’s global general-entertainment brand and follows months of speculation that Star would be retired in favour of a single identity across regions, as reported by The Verge.
What’s changing inside Disney+Disney says users will start to see a refreshed Disney+ home screen over the coming weeks, including a new navigation bar with dedicated tabs for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN content where available, plus clearer labels for content. Profiles will be more prominent, and recommendation algorithms are being tuned to surface shows more reliably. In simple terms, the UK Disney+ app will feel a little different, and the Hulu name will front the kind of TV and films that previously sat under Star.
Disney is also introducing Google Home style widgets on iOS and other quality-of-life tweaks, plus AI-assisted recommendations that should make it easier to find what you want quickly. Specific dates for this rollout have not yet been confirmed, but expect them to appear before we see the “unified” Disney app.

On Wednesday, it was reported that an armed New York PD detective snuck past Secret Service into the Ryder Cup while pretending to be a part of President Trump’s security detail.
Detective Melvin Eng was in full tactical gear as he entered the Ryder Cup. According to The New York Post, Detective Eng also told people he was working for the feds.
Detective Eng was kicked out of the tournament after he dropped his magazine.
According to the New York Post, Eng was suspended without pay for his stunt.

The Secret Service said Detective Eng snuck into the Ryder Cup on a day that President Trump was not at the golf course, so USSS agents were not present.
“The NYPD officer in full tactical gear sneaked into the Ryder Cup tournament by saying he was part of a security team on Friday, a day Trump was not at the golf course — so it did not involve the Secret Service at all, sources familiar with the matter tell me,” RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree said on Thursday.
The Secret Service released a statement on the Ryder Cup incident:
“There are inaccurate reports in the press and on social media of an off-duty member of law enforcement attending the Ryder Cup during the President’s visit on Friday, Sept. 26. After a review by the New York State Police and the NYPD, it was determined this individual attended the Ryder Cup but not when it was under the purview of the U.S. Secret Service. We would refer any follow-up inquiries to the New York State Police.”

Abigail Spanberger is the Democrat running for governor of Virginia. Her running mate Ghazala Hashmi has been spotted on the campaign trail disrespecting symbols of the United States.
As the Gateway Pundit reported last month, Hashmi has a history of denigrating the people of Virginia as racists, so this comes as no surprise.
Of course, disrespecting American symbols won’t bother leftist voters in the state. People on the left are fond of burning American flags, after all.

Hashmi is so extreme that some Democrats in Virginia are backing John Reid, her Republican opponent.

A new coalition led by Democrat former elected officials, business owners, and community leaders has been launched to back Republican John Reid’s bid for lieutenant governor.
The Democrats for John Reid coalition announced its launch on Tuesday on social media. Former Democrat state Sen. Joe Morrissey, one of the coalition leaders, declared his support for Reid, saying in a statement, “This isn’t about party; it’s about Virginia’s future.”
Reid’s opponent, Democrat nominee Ghazala Hashmi, responded in a post on X, writing, “I’m proud to have not received this endorsement for our campaign today,” referring to Morrissey.
Morrissey, who served alongside Hashmi in the Virginia Senate, said in his statement: “Ghazala Hashmi has sided with Richmond insiders time and again. John Reid is willing to stand up for working families, first responders, and taxpayers.”
Spanberger’s opponent is Winsome Sears, the current Republican Lieutenant Governor. Sears started the race with a polling disadvantage, but the race has become extremely tight in recent weeks.

She got really angry but then pretty much confirmed what Tony Dokoupil was saying, while giving a long, confusing explanation.
You know what’s very telling in this ongoing debate? The anger and frustration of Democrats. It’s a tell that indicates that they are losing this argument and they know it. You see the same thing with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries.

The Republicans and the Democrats’ plan, nothing changes the number of undocumented immigrants who still get care if they show up bleeding and unconscious at an emergency room. There is absolutely zero difference. The difference is whether or not hospitals who, under laws that date back to Ronald Reagan, may provide emergency care to anyone who’s unconscious, will actually get reimbursed at a very low level that will put the hospital ultimately out of business potentially or at a higher level. The Republicans – there is no change, no change in the number of undocumented migrants who get any help under what the Democrats want. Look, what we’re looking for is help for people who are going to get pushed out of nursing homes, help for people who are at home and relying on home health aides.”

CNN does not get the joke.
The Trump White House is continuing to troll Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats with the sombrero meme. They are even piping Mariachi music into the White House press briefing room, which is hilarious, but CNN’s Kaitlan Collins does not see the humor at all.
What you’re actually seeing here is frustration. Collins and others at CNN are angry that Trump doesn’t care what they think, like, at all.
It’s written all over her face in this segment.

CNN anchors John Berman and Kaitlan Collins appeared to have trouble wrapping their brains around the Trump administration’s willingness to defend — and even embrace — a meme they described as “racist” without any apparent concern about the repercussions for doing so.
Berman raised the topic during a Wednesday conversation with Collins, noting that the meme in question — an AI-doctored video that featured House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) with a fake mustache and a sombrero — had been on full display at the White House briefing room.
“So we played sound from Vice President Vance not just defending that AI racist video of Minority Leader Jeffries wearing a sombrero, but also, like celebrating that video, and it was playing on a loop in the briefing room today,” Berman said, turning to Collins: “What are you hearing from the inside about that?”…
“This time, you know, there’s a moment here, they’re being heavily criticized over this — over these posts by the president — by Democrats, and instead of backing off or apologizing for it, they’re leaning into it. They’re playing the music over loudspeakers and on repeat inside the briefing room because they simply don’t care about that criticism.”

Brace yourself for this. It turns out that Democrat anti-gun activist David Hogg might be little more than a grifter.
After being tossed out of the DNC where he served as vice chair for a matter of weeks, Hogg decided to focus on his political PAC. Their goal was to elect younger and more progressive Democrats. That’s not working out too well.
It turns out, the PAC is much better at lining the pockets of consultants. They also reportedly spent a lot of cash on frivolous things like fitness classes.
Hogg’s short-lived pillow company was more fiscally sound than this.

Despite pledging to spend $20 million to back younger, more progressive candidates, a PAC led by Democratic activist David Hogg has spent millions of dollars on political consultants, ads and even fitness classes.
The PAC, Leaders We Deserve, spent just $455,000 to back three candidates in tough Democratic primary races over the first eight months of 2025, Axios reported.
That figure stands in contrast to the roughly $2.5 million spent on consultants, $1.1 million on digital ads, $965,000 on building donor lists and nearly $5,000 on the fitness class subscription service ClassPass, according to federal campaign filings.
“We provide a wellness benefit to our employees, like many employers across the country,” Kevin Lata, co-founder and executive director of Leaders We Deserve, told Axios. “Our projections show that every $1 we put into these investments will net $3-$5 by the end of the cycle. This helps to make sure every donation goes farther than it otherwise would.”

Per Alex Thompson and Holly Otterbein, Leaders We Deserve, “hasn’t endorsed any challengers to Democratic incumbents in Congress” and “has been successful in just one” of the meager three contests it has participated in.
That lone success came in New York City’s mayoral race, which saw Leaders We Deserve dole out $300,000 to a PAC supporting Zohran Mamdani, the eventual winner of the Democratic primary. The other candidates backed by Hogg, Arizona’s Deja Foxx ($150,000) and Virginia’s Irene Shin ($5,000) lost by 39 and a half and 45.4 points, respectively.
The amount spent on those races pales in comparison to the amount spent on political consultants ($2.5 million) and digital ads for itself ($1.1 million).
Hogg himself has previously blasted other members of his party for listening “to the consulting class instead of the working class because increasingly, our party has surrounded itself simply with people who just constantly agree with it consistently rather than talking to actual people on the ground.”

In a highly unusual move, a federal judge on Thursday recused himself from Oregon’s lawsuit against the Trump Administration over the activation of its National Guard to quell the violence directed toward ICE agents.
US District Judge Michael Simon, an Obama appointee, at the request of the DOJ, recused himself due to a conflict of interest involving his wife, Democrat Rep. Suzanne Bonamici.
Rep. Bonamici has publicly stated she is against troop deployment to Portland.
Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, will now oversee the case.
A hearing for a request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) is scheduled for Friday at 10 am PST.

Last weekend, President Trump authorized troops to Portland, Oregon, and other Democrat-run cities to protect ICE agents from Antifa terrorists and other radical far-left groups.
“At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists. I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Right on cue, Democrat-run Oregon sued the Trump Administration to stop the deployment of troops.
Oregon’s Democrat Governor Tina Kotek openly declared war on President Trump’s plan to restore order in Portland, telling the President of the United States to “stand down” and keep federal troops out of her state, even as Antifa terrorists and far-left agitators have spent years terrorizing the city.
At a press conference in downtown Portland, Kotek dismissed Trump’s announcement of a military deployment as an “abuse of power” and a “misuse of federal troops.”
On Thursday, Trump DOJ lawyers argued that Judge Simon must recuse himself because of the public statements made by his Democrat Rep. spouse.
Later Thursday, Judge Simon recused himself and said the case was randomly assigned to Judge Karin Immergut.
