Sony’s WH-1000XM6 has had its first big price cut of 2025

The Sony WH-1000XM6 are one of the best wireless headphones of 2025, and if you’ve been waiting for a price cut for these headphones, you no longer need to wait.

As part of the early Black Friday deals, the WH-1000XM6 has a reduction of £50, bringing it down from its RRP of £399 to £349.

Granted that’s not the biggest discount we’ve ever seen, but given the Sony WH-1000XM6 went on sale in May 2025; this is first considerable discount we’ve seen for these headphones (they’ve had very brief price cuts over the course of the year.

The WH-1000XM6 were awarded 4.5 stars in our review, and they ended up winning our best wireless headphones awards as well, so this is a pair that’s very highly regarded by Trusted Reviews.

It offers some of the best noise-cancellation on the market, a huge improvement over the WH-1000XM5 (which we didn’t think was possible). They lay waste to most sounds in the surrounding environment, especially low frequency noises, making your commute, plane journey, office environment or a walk around a city as quiet as possible.

The sound quality has been improved too. There’s more detail and clarity with the highs, bass is better balanced than older models; and the midrange is filled with clarity, detail and inisight, with the soundstag bigger and wider than before. This is one of the best-sounding headphones Sony has ever done in our opinion.

The wireless performance is strong so you won’t suffer from too many drop outs if you’re in a busy area. The call quality is excellent, picking up your voice and shielding it away from any background distractions so the person on the other end can hear what you’re saying.

And these headphones have a foldable design! After ditching the foldable element with the previous model, Sony has brought it back, which makes them more compact to travel with. With comfort good comfort levels along with battery life up to 30 hours with ANC, the WH-1000XM6 would be a great choice if you travel alot.

It’s unlikely that you’ll see a bigger price cut for these headphones for the rest of the year, so if you’ve been waiting for the Sony WH-1000XM6 to drop in price, now’s your first chance to snap them up.

Saudi crown prince jokes about White House prediction bets

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud made light of his involvement in prediction markets during a presidential event as Polymarket makes it way back to the US.

The royal from Saudi Arabia was visiting the United States for the first time in seven years to discuss political and economic matters with President Donald Trump, only weeks after Trump’s media company announced plans to add prediction markets to Truth Social through an exclusive partnership with Crypto.com’s Derivatives North America unit.

Bettors lose out on black tie betting on Mohammed bin Salman

The crown prince was given a fanfare welcome by the President, including an honour guard, fighter jet displays, and all the trimmings of the red carpet.

The display by the White House has been controversial amid crunch talks on oil, artificial intelligence, and nuclear capabilities.

US intelligence agencies assessed that the crown prince was likely involved in the killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a conclusion that strained US–Saudi relations and distanced Saudi leadership from American political circles for nearly a decade.

Against this backdrop of unresolved geopolitical tension, attention still turned to prediction markets, which focused on Prince Mohammed’s attire at a black-tie event during his return to US soil.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia just referenced the polymarket about him wearing a suit & tie.

Bettors had been given a seventeen times their initial stake opportunity if the crown prince was to attend an event hosted by the White House in a black suit.

He disappointed those staking on the possibility of him wearing the western formal suit, and both Kalshi and Polymarket posted on social media about his tongue-in-cheek response to the betting links.

— Kalshi (@Kalshi) November 19, 2025

“Before I came here, someone told me that there are betting sites where you can bet on me wearing a black suit, and if you bet on me, you could get almost 17x. Sorry, you lose the bet. Better luck next time,” he said about the predictions market.

Outcome betting has been a varied and evolving marketplace since prediction markets played a considerable part in the previous presidential elections.

Other bets involving the Saudi stay included whether the President would embrace the crown prince in a hug, whether they would shake hands and also what the current President might mention in their exchange.

Ironically, Google announced on Wednesday (November 19) that Saudi Arabia was one of the countries that would restrict offline gaming advertisements, where these promotions violate the local laws.

Find Out the Benefits of Abyssinian Oil for Hair

What are the benefits of Abyssinian oil? Photo: FP

Let’s face it. There are thousands of hair products out there that claim to be the best, and many of them are loaded with chemicals. We love that there are so many products to choose from, whether you have curly, straight, or wavy hair, but sometimes it helps to go with a more natural approach.

The good news is that this is where products like Abyssinian oils come in to save the day, and your hair. When using Abyssinian oil for your hair, you’ll find that there are a lot of benefits, and this product can help you target the roots of some of your problems.

That said, before you rush out and grab some Abyssinian oil, it’s important to know how it can improve your hair. This can range from styling to nourishment and more. Learn all about the oil’s hair benefits below.

What is Abyssinian Oil?Hair Oil Brush CombPhoto: FP

We know that you want to jump right into the benefits of Abyssinian oil, but it’s important to understand what this oil is before you put it in your hair. The good news is that it’s not too complicated. And the fact that it’s made from organic ingredients makes it easy to understand.

Abyssinian oil comes from the Crambe abyssinica plant, which hails from Ethiopia. It’s a lightweight and non-greasy oil, too, which makes it appealing for people who don’t want to weigh down their hair.

That said, what makes Abyssinian oil popular is how it can help your tresses. It’s loaded with a wide variety of omega fatty acids, vitamins A, B, C, and E, and other nutrients that moisturize, protect, and fortify your hair and skin.

You’ll find that there are a lot of Abyssinian oil hair benefits, and the more you use it, the more advantages you may experience. That said, it helps to know how exactly this natural oil will help you before you start using it.

Protection for Your Hair and Scalp

First and foremost, it’s tough to beat the protection that Abyssinian oil provides for your hair and scalp.

For example, if you’re someone who uses a hair straightener regularly, Abyssinian oil can protect against any heat damage that may develop. This is due to the presence of fatty acids in the oil.

You’ll also find that Abyssinian oil can protect your hair from the sun’s harsh rays. While it may not protect from UV rays, it can shield your hair from dryness caused by prolonged sun exposure.

What’s more, it can smooth the hair cuticle to reduce the impact of everyday environmental stressors in the air around you. This can be especially helpful in regions with a lot of smog.

A lot of problems with your hair may start on your scalp. In fact, some hair problems can even start underneath your scalp, which makes it hard to address any issues without a potent hair product.

Abyssinian oil’s lightweight, nutrient-rich profile helps nourish and comfort the scalp, easing dryness and supporting a calmer, more balanced environment for your hair.
It also had anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe your redness or itchiness.

Its smooth glide and conditioning benefits help keep the scalp feeling supple and cared for, creating a healthier foundation for strong, resilient strands.

Nourishes Your Hair

Another benefit of Abyssinian oil is the deep nourishment it brings to your strands. This lightweight oil glides on easily and absorbs quickly, delivering a smooth, conditioned feel without weighing your hair down.

It leaves your tresses softer and more supple, helping minimize breakage and keeping your hair feeling naturally resilient and easy to manage.

Abyssinian oil also shines when it comes to styling. Its featherlight texture stays in your hair without getting greasy, adding a healthy-looking sheen while taming flyaways.

It smooths the surface of each strand, helping your style hold up against humidity and everyday frizz. The result is a polished, hydrated finish that keeps your hair looking its best, even on the busiest days.

Overall, Abyssinian oil has dozens of benefits for your hair. This makes it worth adding to your haircare routine if you are looking for a lightweight oil with many nutrients. From scalp care to heat protection and styling, it can truly make a difference.

It’s important to carefully choose Abyssinian oil to ensure that you maximize your potential benefits. You want to look for high-quality oils that can take your haircare routine to the next level rather than set it back.

Look for reliable online retailers with good reviews and well-designed stores. You can find good-quality oils from CrambeAbyssinica as well.

HP and Dell disable HEVC support built into their laptops’ CPUs

The OEMs disabling codec hardware also comes as associated costs for the international video compression standard are set to increase in January, as licensing administrator Access Advance announced in July. Per a breakdown from patent pool administration VIA Licensing Alliance, royalty rates for HEVC for over 100,001 units are increasing from $0.20 each to $0.24 each in the United States. To put that into perspective, in Q3 2025, HP sold 15,002,000 laptops and desktops, and Dell sold 10,166,000 laptops and desktops, per Gartner.

Last year, NAS company Synology announced that it was ending support for HEVC, as well as H.264/AVC and VCI, transcoding on its DiskStation Manager and BeeStation OS platforms, saying that “support for video codecs is widespread on end devices, such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and smart TVs.”

“This update reduces unnecessary resource usage on the server and significantly improves media processing efficiency. The optimization is particularly effective in high-user environments compared to traditional server-side processing,” the announcement said.

Despite the growing costs and complications with HEVC licenses and workarounds, breaking features that have been widely available for years will likely lead to confusion and frustration.

“This is pretty ridiculous, given these systems are $800+ a machine, are part of a ‘Pro’ line (jabs at branding names are warranted – HEVC is used professionally), and more applications these days outside of Netflix and streaming TV are getting around to adopting HEVC,” a Redditor wrote.

The PS5 Digital has plummeted to its lowest price ever – but be quick

Since the release of the PS5 back in 2020, the console has dominated. It has great performance with next-gen loading times, innovative controller and trigger feedback and a whole host of PS5 exclusive titles. The problem is the cost; at £429 for the PS5 Digital, it’s a big investment.

However, we’ve spotted an unbelievable offer on the PS5 Digital at AO. For a limited time, the storefront is selling the PS5 Digital for just £295 – a massive reduction of £134 compared to the RRP. This makes it the cheapest it has ever been at AO, and quite likely, at any UK retailer. We certainly can’t remember a time when the PS5 has dropped quite this low.

The PS5 Digital has dropped to its lowest price ever at AO, making it a spectacular Black Friday bargain.

That does mean that demand for the console will be extremely high, even by Black Friday standards, so if you are tempted, we’d recommend picking it up sooner rather than later.

Sony’s original PS5 Digital Edition may not be the new, slimmer kid on the block, but it’s still a fantastic way to jump into new-gen gaming – as long as you don’t need a disc drive. But if you’re already in on digital games, PS Plus and sales on the PS Store, skipping the disc tray is a very easy trade to make.

Otherwise, you’re getting the same core experience as the standard PS5 with lightning-fast loading times thanks to that custom SSD, gorgeous 4K visuals and the full PlayStation ecosystem of exclusives like Spider-Man, God of War and Horizon.

It’s a seriously powerful console too, with the AMD Zen 2 CPU, custom GPU and 16GB of GDDR6 RAM keeping things running smoothly at high frame rates, and the 3D audio support adds an additional layer of immersion.

What really sells the PS5 Digital though, is everything wrapped around the hardware. The DualSense controller is still one of the best reasons to pick PlayStation, with its clever haptics and adaptive triggers transforming games like Astro’s Playroom and Gran Turismo 7.

There are even additional extras like PSVR 2 and PlayStation Portal that expand what you can do with the console – things not available on most competing consoles.

It’s safe to say that the console is an easy recommendation from us – especially at its new ultra-low price. We’ll see you in-game.

Hakeem Jeffries Rips Mike Johnson For Not Condemning Trump’s Call To Execute Democrats

The language that Donald Trump used to describe six Democratic members of Congress as seditionists because they urged members of the military and the intelligence community to put the Constitution first and not obey illegal orders should never be normalized or accepted.

Speaker Mike Johnson initially said, “For a senator like Mark Kelly or any member of the House or Senate to behave in that kind of talk is to me so just beyond the pale.”

As the backlash got worse throughout the day, Johnson said Trump’s words were not the ones that he would use and suggested that Trump likes to use heated rhetoric.

None of what Johnson said condemned Trump.

Republicans have been trying to suggest that the comments of the six Democrats were somehow inflammatory because the Democrats had the nerve to remind members of the military that they work for the American people, not Donald Trump.

Mike Johnson self-identifies as a Christian, so it was telling that when Hakeem Jeffries spoke to reporters on Thursday, he brought one trait that most Christians are taught to embody.

Jeffries said to reporters:

It is extraordinary to me. We had patriotic members of the House and the Senate have their lives threatened by Donald Trump in the most unhinged, unacceptable, unconscionable, and un-American way, disgusting and dangerous what Donald Trump has said in accusing patriotic members of Congress and the Senate who served this country well of treason and suggesting they should be killed.

Democratic Vets In Congress Humiliate Trump And Expose His Empty Threats

Donald Trump hates to be reminded that the Constitution comes before his wishes in the United States of America. After a half a dozen members of Congress who served in the military released a video urging the troops and the intelligence community not to follow illegal orders and place the Constitution first, Trump lost it.

The president posted on Truth Social:

Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP???

PoliticusUSA’s news and opinions are 100% independent. Support us by becoming a subscriber.

Trump later added:

SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!

Here is the video that Trump considers seditious:

The six members of Congress whom Trump threatened are Reps. Jason Crow of Colorado, Chris Deluzio of Pennsylvania, Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire, and Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania; and Sens. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan.

The members who, unlike Trump, have served this country and risked their lives were not intimidated.

In a joint statement, they replied to Trump by saying:

We are veterans and national security professionals who love this country and swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath lasts a lifetime, and we intend to keep it. No threat, intimidation, or call for violence will deter us from that sacred obligation.

What’s most telling is that the President considers it punishable by death for us to restate the law. Our servicemembers should know that we have their backs as they fulfill their oath to the Constitution and obligation to follow only lawful orders. It is not only the right thing to do, but also our duty.

Trump’s Epstein Problem Gets Worse As Democrats Are Following The Money

The Jeffrey Epstein puzzle contains many pieces that have never been investigated. The release of the Epstein files, if it ever comes, does not mark the end of the process. The release of the files should be viewed as phase one of what should be a long and comprehensive investigation into one of the most prolonged sex crime rings in US history.

Trump and his party want Jeffrey Epstein and the scandal to go away quickly. The president’s desire to sweep this under the rug is why Republicans rushed to support the legislation to compel the DOJ to release the files.

It is now a crime for any DOJ official to block the release of the files, but people like Sen. Jeff Merkley expect the DOJ to refuse to release anything that would make Trump look bad.

PoliticusUSA is 100% independent. We are not beholden to any political party or special interest. Support us by becoming a subscriber.

Sen. Merkley said on CNN on Thursday morning:

I expect the administration to block the release of anything that puts the Trump administration or Trump himself in a bad light. I don’t trust this administration to follow the law. At all. There are provisions in this law that say you can redact for a temporary and very narrow protection of an investigation.

But who’s going to be inside the administration actually saying, follow this law as written? Plus, they have to provide explanations of what they redact, but will they really provide detailed explanations? I just think that Trump has spent the last 10 months protecting pedophiles powerful men who were involved with Epstein.

He’s been defending his own reputation. I’m not saying that he himself falls into that pedophile group, but just that he thought that this investigation or this these materials would harm his reputation in some way.

In order to get full justice for the victims, the money needs to be followed, and that is where Trump could face more problems.

Samsung’s stylish Z Flip 7 is a must-have with this Black Friday deal

Samsung makes some of the best foldables around – but considering it was one of the first companies to release foldables back in 2019, it shouldn’t be any surprise.

This year’s iterations, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, represent some of the best foldable tech around – and there’s a very tempting offer on the latter that makes it a must-have.

Amazon has slashed the price of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 from £1049 to just £849, representing a huge £200 saving on a flip-style foldable that only made its debut in July. That’ll net you the stylish Blue Shadow colourway with 256GB of storage – plenty of storage for your apps, photos and videos.

Save £200 on Samsung’s stylish Galaxy Z Flip 7 Save £200 on Samsung’s stylish Galaxy Z Flip 7

With a healthy £200 discount over at Amazon, the fantastic Z Flip 7 becomes even more tempting.

Some of you might have foldable fear from the early days of foldable tech when they were flimsy, underpowered and rather disappointing – but foldables have come a long way in the past few years, to the point where the Galaxy Z Flip 7 feels properly grown up and capable.

The Flip 7 is undoubtedly the best Flip to date, and one that can finally take the fight to the clamshell competition. It’s not perfect, but for most people, it’s all the foldable they need.

Larger cover screen is a much-needed improvement
More convenient 21:9 ratio screen is much easier to use
Improved camera performance
Fast, flagship performance with strong battery life
Cover screen software could be better
Samsung software is full of duplicate/redundant apps
No dedicated zoom camera

Samsung has finally nailed the balance of style, practicality and fun with the Flip 7. It’s slimmer, lighter and folds down to a genuinely tiny square that disappears into a bag or even a small pocket. The redesigned hinge feels sturdy yet easy to flip one-handed, the crease is less distracting, and you still get that deeply satisfying snap shut once you’re done.

Both screens have had exactly the upgrades fans have been asking for. On the outside, a new 4.1-inch cover display now stretches almost edge to edge, making it far more useful for selfies, widgets and bite-sized app use.

On the inside, the main foldable panel has grown to 6.9 inches and shifted to a wider 21:9 aspect ratio, which makes typing, gaming and streaming videos feel far closer to a ‘normal’ flagship phone than those that came before.

It’s bright enough to stay visible in most environments, colour-rich without being cartoon-ish, and the wider slab finally makes the Flip feel like a no-compromise device compared to regular bar phones.

Day-to-day performance and camera quality round out this year’s upgrade nicely. The Exynos 2500 chipset keeps everything feeling fast and fluid, helped by the screen’s 120Hz refresh rate, with seven years of OS upgrades and support to look forward to.

The dual camera system now delivers a more natural shooting experience with balanced colours, punchy detail and reliable results in most lighting – including low-light. Battery life has caught up too, finally lasting a full day, and 25W charging gets you a healthy top-up in under an hour.

What I’m trying to say is that the Z Flip 7 isn’t just a great foldable, it’s a fantastic smartphone, full stop. And at its newly discounted price, it’s more tempting than ever.
