A Chinese illegal alien living in Chicago under Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker’s sanctuary policies has been indicted for running a human and sex-trafficking ring across state lines.
A Marion County Grand Jury in Ohio has indicted Xiaoping Peng, 53, of Chicago, Illinois, on a list of serious felony charges tied to a prostitution and trafficking enterprise that operated out of a so-called “Chinese Spa” located at 1288 Delaware Avenue in Marion, Ohio, according to Marion County Now.
According to the news outlet citing authorities, Peng entered the United States illegally during the Biden administration and managed to remain in Chicago after filing an asylum claim—a loophole frequently exploited under the administration’s open-border policies.
Officials say Peng acted as a courier and recruiter, transporting female victims across state lines and collecting proceeds tied to sexual exploitation. The investigation uncovered that the operation trafficked women from Illinois to Ohio between March 6 and June 17, 2025.
When Marion police raided the spa, they discovered evidence of ongoing forced prostitution and human exploitation, including communications and financial trails linking Peng to multiple states.
These Democrat politicians are effectively harboring these criminals giving them refuge and aid.
If you were an illegal alien, where would you want to go? Would you pick a state or city where the elected officials have made clear their intention to enforce immigration law, or would you pick a state like Illinois where elected officials have sworn to protect you from the law?
It is clear, these policies are built to protect criminals.
Abigail Spanberger Refuses to Withdraw Endorsement of Jay Jones Over Violent Texts Scandal During Virginia Debate (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit
During a debate in Virginia tonight, Democrat Abigail Spanberger refused to withdraw her endorsement of Jay Jones, the Democrat running for attorney general, despite the scandal engulfing him over violent text messages he wrote about a Republican colleague and his children.
The debate moderator, to her credit, pressed Spanberger on the issue repeatedly and tried to get her to give a definitive answer, but Spanberger deflected, saying that it’s now just up to the voters.
Her responses were entirely unacceptable.

Democrat Abigail Spanberger passed on a chance to use one of the most high-profile moments of her run for Virginia governor to withdraw her endorsement for her party’s attorney general nominee for his use of violent rhetoric in a text message.
The subject of Jay Jones’ violent message from three years ago emerged immediately as the Democrat faced Republican Winsome Earle-Sears on Thursday in the only planned debate of the closely watched race.
Spanberger condemned the text as “abhorrent” but repeatedly declined to say whether she would withdraw her support for Jones, saying it should be left to the voters in the Nov. 4 election.
“The voters now have the information, and it is up to voters to make an individual choice based on this information,” she said.
Jones suggested the former Republican House speaker should get “two bullets to the head.” He has apologized for the text, which became public last week amid rising fears of political violence following a string of incidents, including the killing of Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10 and the attack on Minnesota lawmakers in June.

Spanberger’s responses were so awful that this debate could actually change the dynamic of this race. The polls have been tightening and Spanberger has managed to maintain a small lead. That might actually change now. Spanberger looked like a weak candidate and Sears appeared solid.

This is one of those times when the news is actually bigger than the media. There is no way for them to spin this negatively.

The two networks trumpeted it as a “huge” and “remarkable achievement” Trump “most certainly deserves credit.”
ABC chief global affairs anchor and This Week co-host Martha Raddatz was the most laudatory, arguing “if this goes as planned, if we see the remaining hostages freed and Israel begin its withdrawal, it is a remarkable achievement, and President Trump most certainly deserves credit for his role.”
“He has done this through diplomacy, pressure, and the sheer force of his personality and persistence. He dispatched diplomats again and again, made threats in the last few days to Hamas, saying if they did not sign the deal, all hell would break loose. And they had the bombing of Iran as an example of that. But perhaps most importantly, he pushed [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu in ways his predecessor and others have not,” she added.
Raddatz went on, citing Trump’s close, frank ties with Netanyahu as helping bring Israel along, concluding “if those hostages are freed, which would leave Hamas without their major bargaining tool, this is a huge moment for Donald Trump.”

If all goes as planned, if the deal goes through and the hostages are released, expect other media organizations to fall in line with what Raddatz has said here. Again, this is one of those developments that’s so huge, they will have no choice but to admit the gravity of it.

The knives are out for Katie Porter.
On Wednesday, Politico released a shocking video of Katie Porter berating one of her staffers during a call with the Biden Administration.
The abusive outburst happened in July 2021 while then-Democrat Rep. Katie Porter spoke with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in an online exchange.
Porter lashed out at a masked staffer who could be seen in the background.
“Get out of my f*cking shot!” Porter shouted as the staffer tried to correct something she said about electric vehicles.
“You also were in my shot before that. Stay out of my shot,” Porter said as she pounded her fists on a table.

“It’s no secret I hold myself and my staff to a high standard, and that was especially true as a member of Congress,” Porter told Politico in a statement. “I have sought to be more intentional in showing gratitude to my staff for their important work.”
The newly released videos of Katie Porter shredding her staffers come just days after she melted down during an interview with award-winning investigative journalist Julie Watts.
Julie Watts interviewed nearly a dozen candidates running in California’s primary for governor, which will be held in June 2026.
Katie Porter was the only candidate who refused to answer Julie Watts’ question about whether she needed votes from Trump supporters.
Porter arrogantly said she doesn’t need any votes from Trump supporters in California.
Julie Watts pressed Porter about Trump voters and that is when she melted down and tried to end the interview.

Brazil’s Congress blocks plan for retrospective gambling tax, but further attempt expected
Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies has reneged on a proposal for gambling operators to be subject to a retrospective 10-year tax, after Congress blocked the bill.
The update came on Wednesday (October 8), after an amended version of PM 1303 was passed by the Chamber, which aimed to address various economic policies in the South American nation.
If adopted, the retrospective tax (for up to 10 years before regulation) would have replaced earlier plans for a permanent gambling tax increase. That would have seen taxes rise from 12% to 18% of gross gaming revenue (GGR).
GGR is the total amount of money received from bettors, once all winnings have been paid out.
It appeared that the tax increase would be introduced after PM 1303 was approved by a congressional joint committee on Tuesday (13-12), but the wider proposal will now be scrapped after Congress did not give its backing to the bill.
Brazil’s gambling tax could end up ‘affecting public finances’Senator Rehan Calheiros, a proponent of PM 1303 and the chair of the joint committee that assessed the legislation, said the bill’s failure could result in a detrimental impact on finances.
The amended bill, inclusive of other economic measures, was due to raise up to BRL17 billion ($3.2 billion) in additional revenue through to the end of next year.
“This is very bad. It ends up affecting public finances. I think it’s regrettable,” stated Calheiros.
What’s next for retrospective gambling taxes in Brazil?While PM 1303 will not progress any further, it is unlikely to be the end of retrospective taxes, with an expectation that the issue will rise again, sooner rather than later.
The government will not want to give up on the BRL 5 billion ($932 million) that can be collected from this source, and the gambling industry is expecting a further attempt, even if the timing is unclear at present.
A working group, with representatives from the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets and the Federal Revenue Service (RFB), was initiated in January to ensure the licensed betting sector is adhering to all tax requirements.
As part of its remit, the group is also pushing to recover taxes unpaid by the grey market, with an overlap into enforcement and revenue raising for licensed operators.
Within the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gambling (IBJR), the approved sector told Congress in August to focus on $6.4 billion gambling revenue losses to the black market, but regulators and lawmakers are continuing to maximize tax returns across the board.

Scott Jennings, the lone conservative voice on CNN, tore into Democrats today for defending now indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James, claiming that she is being singled out for selective prosecution.
Jennings correctly notes that the ‘selective prosecution’ of Trump is the basis of her entire career.
It is amazing watching Democrats and people in media come down with amnesia and pretend that the last ten years just didn’t happen. They act like all of this is happening in a vacuum. Like history began ten months ago and nothing that happened before that time has any meaning at all.

Senator John Fetterman is praising Trump for the historic peace deal he is brokering in the Middle East, even posting congratulations to Trump on social media.
It’s just amazing that the Democrat who suffered brain damage is the most rational member of his party. Fetterman deserves credit for standing up for our ally Israel despite the trends on the radical left to demonize the Jewish state.

President Trump on Thursday slammed Obama and the Nobel Committee, while comparing his record to that of the former President and Nobel Prize recipient.
“He got elected, and they gave it to Obama for doing absolutely nothing but destroying our country,” Trump said, noting that Obama “didn’t even know” why he won the prize. “The worst president was Sleepy Joe Biden, but Obama was not a good president.”
The remarks came during a bilateral meeting with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb. The two leaders approved a deal for the United States to purchase 11 icebreaker Arctic Cutter ships to navigate the icy waters of the Arctic and combat Chinese and Russian presence in the region.
Trump was asked during the meeting about his potential of winning a Nobel Peace Prize after announcing a deal between Hamas and Israel, which could secure a lasting peace in the Middle East. He highlighted the eight wars he’s solved in a very short period of time, stating, “Nobody’s done eight wars in 30 years, let alone nine months.”
Trump has been nominated for the prize by several foreign leaders and American officials. 338 candidates were nominated this year, including 244 individuals and 94 organizations, Fox reports. The winner of the Peace Prize will be announced on Friday.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump announced on Wednesday night that Israel and Hamas have signed off on phase one of a peace deal.
“Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace,” and “all hostages will be released “very soon,” Trump said on Truth Social last night. There are reportedly 20 living hostages in Hamas custody.
During the cabinet meeting earlier, Trump said that he plans to travel to Egypt to officially sign the agreement, adding, “I think it’s going to be a lasting peace, hopefully an everlasting peace.”

When another reporter noted that “Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize for way less” than Trump has done, Trump went off.
“He got a prize for doing nothing,” Trump said, noting that Obama really only got the prize because he got elected. And it was likely because he’s a black man.

Curbing forced marriages is another target of the legislation.
Conservative Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has introduced legislation in Parliament against ‘Islamic separatism’ that, among other things, would institute a ban on the burka and niqab in public places.
The Telegraph reported:
“The prime minister’s ruling Brothers of Italy party put forward a bill imposing fines of between £260 and £2,600 for wearing the face-covering garments in schools, universities, shops and offices.
The party called it a bill against ‘Islamic separatism’ aimed at combating ‘religious radicalization and religiously motivated hatred’.
It introduces criminal penalties for virginity testing, while strengthening punishment for forced marriages by adding religious coercion as grounds for prosecution.”
