Or to rephrase that more accurately: yes. It IS a bad thing. A really bad thing.
As a character, it’s interesting. As a human quality, it’s horrendous and considered a mental illness, something which is unhealthy, incorrect, and in need of correction, often resulting in separation from the rest of the population, either through hospitalisation or imprisonment.
Conclusion: it’s a bad thing.

At the end of the day, what I want to be known and remembered for is my stories. I don’t mind if people also associate me as one of the very first people to have been riding the anti-Mary train, but I never want to be known as someone who hates a real person. I don’t hate anyone except for an ex who deserves it and then some. I’m going back into my happy little writer’s la-la land and hopefully this will all blow over soon. I really don’t think it’s about me, though.

Oh my blessed lord, what happened now?
The person who plays my least favourite freelance killer with a nose scrunch vague-tweeted something about a 36-year-old professor hiding behind a blog and some immensely well-intentioned people seem to have assumed it was about me and leapt to my defence. Bless them - but I don’t think it’s even about me. The age is slightly off, and I haven’t posted anything particularly direct related to said person. Whereas said person’s character’s stans have been turning on her and whatnot - I think it must be one of them that’s got her back up? Really not sure, but not being on twitter makes me poorly equipped to deal with twitter drama and I have no desire to get drawn into it, or to make this person aware of my existence. I know her feelings on creators of fanwork and of Johnlock and it would just be better if our circles didn’t overlap, you know?

Please don’t involve me in a twitter war with a certain twitterer that I have zero desire for interaction with! Please, if you’re out there defending me against a super-vague tweet that probably isn’t even about me, please, please go and delete your tweets! I appreciate the sentiment, but I do NOT want to be dragged into this!!!
Edited to add: I mean, if I’m named, then by all means, released the winged monkeys. Until then, vague tweets are nothing more than shadows. Yes, I’m laughing at the 180 flip in attitude. Yes, I have enormous issues with her stance on fanwork. No, I’m not “hiding”. (How do you “hide” on a blog site where no one uses their own names?? That’s like going to a Halloween party and accusing all the costumed guests of “hiding”. FFS.) Then again, this almost certainly isn’t about me. It’s probably about one of her crazy ass Mary stan fans who have turned on her and will commence with death threats shortly.
