Say No to Impunity

Tackling an all-powerful, corrupt state (core system) is a difficult task. There are many options, including modifying one of its own...

Chapter 28 "Judgement Day":

The (core) system fleet has set sail on several differing endeavours but all are set on a course to destroy democracy, the rule of law and human rights principles, and there are no admirals courageous enough to stop it. However, any system that doesn't have a pressure release valve will fail. I have given it plenty of opportunities to provide real justice but it won't take them. It is either arrogant or can't see the danger, as can happen when all around are seduced by power and greed. If just one of my early complaints were upheld, things may never have spiralled as they did. To remedy the situation now means prosecuting high-ranking legal professionals, politicians, government officials and civil servants. As the eighteenth century French philosopher Voltaire noted of the judicial murder of John Byng: “In this country England it is thought well to kill an admiral from time to time to encourage the others.” It's high time the legal profession got a taste of its own medicine. A severe approach is needed to sort them out and their collaborators in government. A short sharp shock to the system may again inadvertently lead to major changes globally, but this time, instead of gunship diplomacy shaping the world, the power of justice will do a far better job. For the sake of our hard won democracy, the rule of law and human rights, they need to be prosecuted for the crimes they have committed and the oaths they have broken. Prosecute and say no to impunity!
...
The system is in need of a massive overhaul. We need democracy and meritocracy, not mockracy and hypocrisy. The mentality of the people in control, at every level, seems to be deeply entrenched. Getting them out is going to take some doing. It would help if all of those involved in the injustices I suffered were brought to account. If lawyers, barristers, senior civil servants, senior police officers, judges and senior politicians were rounded up and faced trial together as a criminal gang for what they did in my case and justice done, it would send a shock wave through the whole system. It would be the modern day equivalent of shooting an admiral and it is long overdue.

Wheels of Justice

The recent Sir Savile, Lord Rennard etc. allegations are following a disturbing pattern. It seems the independent media is the only justice tool available to the public. The pro-state, public-funded BBC channel doesn't break these stories, but if you can get your allegations against Establishment figures aired on an independent national TV station, then the wheels of justice reluctantly turn.

This is a major reason why my story hasn't been given any media coverage. And I really didn't stand a chance with the BBC's Panorama (documentary programme) did I!

The Key? - Psychology

Humans live their lives through rose-tinted glasses. In other words, we are optimistic despite evidence to the contrary. Experimental results suggest the hypothesis is true. During tests, people were asked a series of questions such as what were the chances of cancer. In general, the responses were on the low side implying a positive outlook. As part of the test, the correct answer was immediately given after each response and then the same series of questions repeated. In general, even though the subjects knew the real answers, the responses were still on the low side -- your subconscious protects you first and foremost even at the cost of looking a bit dim!

So, what has this to do with my book? Well, its readers have been exhibiting the same behaviour with the middle section, the part that chronicles my four-year battle of attrition with the authorities: the red pill, bitter to digest but ultimately revealing. It seems the red pill is so unpalatable that your subconscious will fight it. Negative thoughts will be triggered and the book will be put down, perhaps forever. But you were warned. In total contrast to the claims of every other book, the only quote found on the cover of The Key? states “I can only read a short bit at a time and have to get up and do something else!”

So, what is going on? Surely we all like to read about the darker sides of the state? Well, the red pill is 150,000 words long. Its daily log format provides so much detail that you know the account to be true. However, such straightforward information can unlock traumatic truths about humanity and judging by a few responses, too much for some: it induced fervent denial. At first I was surprised and didn't understand until I came across the following Wikipedia article on Psychological Trauma:
Trauma can be caused by a wide variety of events, but there are a few common aspects. There is frequently a violation of the person's familiar ideas about the world and of their human rights, putting the person in a state of extreme confusion and insecurity. This is also seen when people or institutions, depended on for survival, violate or betray or disillusion the person in some unforeseen way.

The power of authority is far greater than you think. Our social organisation demands control and that is why we submit to it so readily. Conversely, to find out that your faith in the police, judiciary, lawyers, politicians, regulators and even the media is misplaced can come as a bit of a shock, particularly when you've been told for decades they are the “best in the world.” The Key? drip-feeds “Institutional denial followed by institutional deceit.” Although most will slip back to the comfort of illusion, I'm hoping some of you will engage the reality of its criminal abuse. Truth is, it has to be confronted.

The Public: Enemy of its State?

So why do tens of thousands of children go missing each year? Why aren't care homes caring of this? As with the NHS (State health service), this is another indicator the State is more concerned about protecting itself & not the public. It is also an indicator the public are and have been abused by the Establishment with impunity for a very long time indeed. That culture has to 'fundamentally change' and the way to do it is to prosecute the abusers AND those that cover it up. The problem is the Establishment control the justice system and the professions are self regulated. So there exists a "legal" system in place that is ruthlessly efficient at protecting those who abuse the public in any capacity.

A bigger problem is that cover-ups affect so many groups (politicians, police, lawyers, judges, civil servants, councils, schools, care homes, hospitals, public prosecutors, bankers, clergy, mainstream media etc.) that none are capable of exposing it in other groups for fear their own skeletons will be exposed. And I suspect that is why there are no prosecutions: it would set a dangerous precedent for those that control us. 'Fundamental change' to this culture of impunity is imperative, but it's not going to come from those in power. Truth is the public have become the enemy of its State.

Why We Have Freedom of Expression

Victims of Nazi Anatomists is a grim reminder why we have freedom of expression. Governments that censor, suppress & abuse the public with impunity such as the UK are taking us down a very dangerous path indeed:
19 years old when she was executed.... She was arrested...when they caught her putting up posters that displayed messages of protest against an exhibition of Nazi propaganda. She was pregnant at the time...
[Her] grim story did not end in her death; her body was one of thousands that were delivered to anatomists and used for dissection and experimentation.
About half of these women...were executed for treason; some were betrayed...by fellow citizens for airing their anti-Nazi politics

Global Wealth In Tax Havens

As mentioned in Inequality - Some Harsh Facts, the Oxfam report recommended:
Closing tax havens, which the Tax Justice Network says hold as much as $31 trillion, or as much as a third of all global wealth, could yield an additional $189bn (£118bn) in additional tax revenues

What, as much as a third of global wealth stashed away in tax havens. $31 trillion!
So when the public "rescued the financial system", who did we really bail out?

Why didn't our governments ask for 10 or 20% of that wealth? Presumably if the financial system had collapsed, that money would have all been lost. So it looks as if we the public are suffering financial hardship not of our own making to prop-up billionaire tax cheats and those that were responsible. Shows which side our governments are on.

It is a disgrace the money is not being used to alleviate financial hardships worldwide.

Inequality - Some Harsh Facts

Oxfam report showing the rich are getting richer and such inequality is contributing to the poor getting poorer. Some harsh (mainly US & UK) observations:

In the UK inequality is rapidly returning to levels not seen since the time of Charles Dickens
$240bn amassed by 100 richest people last year would be enough to end extreme poverty four times over
Accumulation of wealth and income on an unprecedented scale...undermined people ... [to] escape poverty
[Can't pretend] creation of wealth for a few will inevitably benefit the many – too often the reverse is true
In the US, the share of national income going to the top 1% has doubled since 1980 from 10 to 20%,
In the US...for the top 0.01% the share of national income is above levels last seen in the 1920s
Members of the richest 1% are estimated to use as much as 10,000 times more carbon than the average US citizen
World leaders should formally commit themselves to reducing inequality to the levels seen in 1990
Closing tax havens, which the Tax Justice Network says hold as much as $31 trillion, or as much as a third of all global wealth, could yield an additional $189bn (£118bn) in additional tax revenues

Prophecy or Coincidence?

From time to time, I read back through my book, The Key?, and it really is prophetic in places. Since publication, we have had child abuse revelations linked to the UK Establishment on an unimaginable scale...

Chapter 28 "Judgement Day":
The authorities around the world have committed some truly awful offences against vulnerable children. The people in power who do nothing to stop this are reckless, irresponsible, corrupt and spineless. They dishonour millions of people around the world who paid the ultimate sacrifice for upholding the virtues of democracy, human rights and the rule of law. They make millions of people's lives a misery. They allow our children to be harmed for their own interests. They continue to endanger us all.

Corrupt Politicians Compromised & Controlled

Explains a lot: "the documents contained evidence that senior figures from a number of political parties had abused children at Elm Guest House and elsewhere"
Initially it was a mystery why Conservative MPs wouldn't help & covered-up "Lilly's" abduction. But such revelations provide a very plausible motive: all political parties have skeletons in the cupboard. Why else wouldn't they have helped & made considerable political capital out of it when their main political opponent, Labour, were in power?
The bigger picture is a disturbing one. If there are such skeletons covered-up by all political parties, then politics (democracy) is effectively compromised. Our elected assembly, Parliament, has sold out to corruption and can't tackle it elsewhere. As that establishment is the only one the public can vote on, that implies the public can't do much about corruption & illegal practices committed against them by the powers that be. And doesn't my case show that to be true!

Americans, Once Again Riddled With The Germ of Destruction

What price freedom? Another Western "justice system" causes the death of a member of the public. The US legal profession is ruthless & non-accountable, just as it is here in the UK.

Internet freedom activist, writer & political organizer, Aaron Swartz, died last Friday in the US. Accused of illegally downloading research documents, he took his own life. It seems the threat of 35 years in prison and a fine of more than $1m was too much for this 26-year-old.

His family stated the actions of both MIT and the Massachusetts US Attorney's office had contributed to his death. "Aaron's death is not simply a personal tragedy. It is the product of a criminal justice system rife with intimidation and prosecutorial overreach".

Chapter 27 "Group, Control & Chaos Theory":
The ever-growing influence of a corrupt British-style legal profession is a problem that has been around for a long time. Statesman, President and one of the founding fathers of the USA, Thomas Jefferson, identified the problem:
The germ of destruction of our nation is in the power of the Judiciary, an irresponsible body — working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall render powerless the checks of one branch over the other and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated.
