Explains a lot:
"the documents contained evidence that senior figures from a number of political parties had abused children at Elm Guest House and elsewhere"Initially it was a mystery why Conservative MPs wouldn't help & covered-up "Lilly's" abduction. But such revelations provide a very plausible motive: all political parties have skeletons in the cupboard. Why else wouldn't they have helped & made considerable political capital out of it when their main political opponent, Labour, were in power?
The bigger picture is a disturbing one. If there are such skeletons covered-up by all political parties, then politics (democracy) is effectively compromised. Our elected assembly, Parliament, has sold out to corruption and can't tackle it elsewhere. As that establishment is the only one the public can vote on, that implies the public can't do much about corruption & illegal practices committed against them by the powers that be. And doesn't my case show that to be true!
