Thank you! Fates: I Bring the Fire Part IV has 40 Reviews.
Thank You Reviewers … Fates has just reached 40 reviews on Amazon U.S.
Reviews are good for writer’s bodies and souls. They help build legitimacy and convince readers to buy our work. Which helps us pay for things like food—that’s the body part. But the soul part is equally important. Reviews help keep us going in between releases and promotions. It reminds us there are people out there enjoying our books even past the burst of initial new release sales.
So thank you Amazon U.S. reviewers: S. Gates “dora”, Lysha, Sarah, Amazon Customer, Jan Niblock, Darkamber, Gloria Terry-Gamron, Kathryn, Agr8grma, Lauren M, Rachael, J., Mary E. I have this problem where when I read books I’m kinda lousy at visualizing the characters, so this is my attempt at not doing that.
Oh, yay! I love these. Especially Amy’s expression of, “Wha? Don’t make me pepper spray you again dude.”
I AM ABOUT TO DO SOMETHING TERRIBLE TO MY CHARACTERS ...
Bohdi is going to have to make a horrible decision. And it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it, because it will feel so awful to him.
Which means it will probably be great writing. But makes me feel terrible. I think I may have to eat a lot of chocolate and cry.
Best to stop procrastinating and get it over with damn it.
Finished writing Bohdi’s bad decision. But now I’m stabbing Amy in the heart. (Not literally, actually.)
I just want to get to the middle of the book where things will be a little happy emotional … right before everything changes and dash them all against the rocks again.
Errr … should I mention Ragnarok has a happy ending? And there will be a cute bat.
"Amy attributes the poor state of Chicago’s infrastructure to Chicago’s endemic corruption and curses..."

Loki mirroring my estimation of democracy and the human race in general.

Hee, hee … yes, this is how my city influences my book. I live in one of the most corrupt cities, in one of the most corrupt counties in the United States. I hear Alaska and Louisiana have us beat for corruption at the state level, although that’s hard to imagine. Four out of seven of our living former governors are in jail. But hey, I guess at least we put them there.

Someone won my book! I sent it today. I tried to get a picture of me, the book, and the UPS store in the picture … and err … kind of got it right. No, that is not the large format edition, that is just foreshortening.
For everyone who didn’t win, the ebook is available for free download here:
Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple, Kobo, Smashwords, and Google Play.
Thank you for entering! I will hold another contest again soon.
