Book Review: In this Life or the Next by Menaka R

Menaka’s debut book is one of the best books I have read till now, in this genre. I received the book today and I dived in right away. This is not a book you would keep aside while you get the mood to read again. The book just grabs you and consumes you. You are Tania Seth and you can feel her pain and her anxiety.

Plot:

Roller Babes is a novel set in the 50s about Lottie, Elsie, and Rebecca, three teenagers from Bronx who allow a nascent roller skating sport fantasy take root in their lives.

I read the blurb and got pretty interested about the book. I got glued to the troubled lives of the three girls and their passion for the roller skating sport.

This is a terr...

Review:

The public dialogue around the mental health of women in the century when this book was written is slightly fuzzy. Though it is of no particular significance as to how and when I came across this book, it does seem important to me to share it here. I am part...

Book Review: PiKu & ViRu: A Fan-Actor Drama

Name of the book: PiKu & ViRu: A Fan-Actor Drama

Author: Priyanka Agarwal

Publisher: Self Published

Title/Cover:

Two people walking in a moonlit night. You would expect them to hold hands, or maybe expect the guy to put his arm over the woman, but you don’t get it. They are just walking…slowly, pondering over life and other things. The title and the cover of PiKu & ViRu are intriguing. The color combination works fine.

Review:

Like how it happens with all romance...

Book Review: Magic Square by Salini Vineeth

I am part of a book reading/reviewing group. This book was introduced there. Curiously, I searched for the title in Amazon. Read the blurb, found it very interesting. Went ahead and downloaded the book on my Kindle though the norm is to wait for the go-ahead by the admin.
