The Kamin’s Daughter: A visual journey
They say visuals are more powerful than words. I believe in the power of words. And I trust visuals to do their bit. Here’s a wonderful short video on the nuances of my book: The Kamin’s Daughter.
My book is currently available on Amazon.

It is Ok to be not Ok
“It is ok. It will get better.”
I have heard this from so many well-meaning people that it now grates on my nerves. Almost like a chain saw going in slow mo. Why do we make such a huge hue and cry about being Ok all the time? Why do we shun being not Ok? Why is it such a big deal? What if I like being not Ok?
I have no answers to all these questions that do a merry-dance in my head space. 23 hours a day. What happens in that remaining 1 hour, you ask? Eyebrows raised, questioning, judgi...

Life is like a colorful book

You turn pages, anticipating something new, something exciting. One page may surprise you, the second page may startle you. The third might just take your breath away. What we choose to see also depends on what has been running on our minds. Choose wisely. Let go of things that are not working.
Cut out the deadwood.

Book Review: A Barren Heart

Rhea and Aman have everything that life could offer. A baby would complete the happy picture. Their joys know no bound when they conceive. Fate has other plans.
While I was reading the book, some portions stood out. I marked these with a virtual highlighter. Shilpa has that touch. A smart interplay of words to bring out the deepest giggle or touch a raw nerve.
Some portions are hilarious and some make your heart heavy. Yearning for a child is so intrinsic, one must have gone through to...

Book Review: Educated

TaraWestover has given a raw account of her Mormon upbringing and how she defied odds to get a PhD.
A brilliant #memoir by a survivor. A woman who dared to stand up to her kith and kin, to defy all odds, to reach out and grab what was rightfully hers.
I have never completed a memoir in a day. I read this one as if my survival depended on it. An exhilaration overtook me when I finally knew what Tara did in the end. I had to know it.
It was not the fact that I was invested in h...
