Cover Reveal!!!!
Howdy all!
Gonna try to make this short and sweet, because I'm tired!
I thought I might have to postpone the book launch. The husband (who is my cover artist) and I both came down with some stomach virus. I bounced back quicker than he did, but he is doing well today and finished the cover! And I just finished the edits and corrections on the book (including adding a whole new scene! Had to do it, there was just a little something something missing, but now I think it's complete!)
So the book launch is still on schedule for Thursday, June 20th, which will be the one year anniversary of when my debut novel, Dream Lover, was launched. This year has been crazy! I'm glad to be pretty much done with Always You, because I'm eager to get back to my current work in progress. I don't have a title for it yet, but I love these characters like I love all of my other characters. I'm excited to see how their relationship develops, especially since they currently can't stand each other. And it's not like the characters in my fourth book After the Storm, where the characters get off to a rocky start. No, these characters have known each other for a very long time and have some deep seeded issues with each other.
Any, this is suppose to be short and sweet, and as usual I digress. So here it is you guys! The cover to Always You, coming out this week! Hope you like it!

First Fan Mail! What!
Hey all!
So as you know, I do my best to keep up with all my social networks. I do alright with Facebook and Twitter. But I also try to keep up with others like Goodreads and Shelfari. To be honest, sometimes I even forget about my email as well.
Well, today I went on Goodreads and saw that I had some new ratings, which is always awesome. I decided I need to come on here and add an excerpt to my upcoming novel. Always You, Henry's story, is tentatively set to be released June 21, which happens to be the one year anniversary to Dream Lover's release date! I'm working on the edits and working with my cover artist (aka the talent Mr. Russ!) on ideas for the cover.
Anyhow...so I log in to my email and wow and I have a new email! Check it out:
My first fan email! I was totally excited! It's still boggles my mind that all of this is happening! But I'm thankful for every download, rating and review I receive. It's amazing!
I'm currently also working on writing my seventh book. I don't have a title for it yet, but I already love these two. At the moment they can't stand each other and they're stuck with each other. But quite a few secrets will come out by the end! We'll see how it goes.
Anyway, I hope all of you are having a great Memorial Day! Thank you to all of those who serve our country!
I'm off to have some food and try to get some work in (confession: I've been procrastinating like nobody's business I will get to it though, including uploading an excerpt from Always You!)

Update: Since I wrote this (however many minutes ago...thirty or so lol...) she replied to my response email! "You've got a fan for life!" Yeah...my day has been made even more....

"Suprise Me" (A Little Viewer Discretion Advised Here!)
Hey all!
It's been quite awhile. Dream Lover and Taking Chances have both been doing fairly well. The reviews are still looking good for Dream Lover!
I was scrolling around and as you some of you may know, you can take a peek inside the book before you by it. What I didn't know was there is a "Surprise me" option.
Of course, curiosity took over and I clicked it to see where I would be taken in the book!
Are you guys ready? Be prepared to blush!

Busy Bee!
First off,
Taking Chances is now available for purchase on amazon! I'm very excited. It went live last week, but I haven't blogged much because I've been busy with the kids and spring break, as well as working on my current work in progress (book six titled Perfection).
Also! How could I forget! I got my first copies of Dream Lover in paperback! I signed the first copy for my wonderful husband, and the second copy is sitting nicely on my bookshelf in between books by my two favorite authors! I have three more copies. Two will be given away when I go visit my good friend Cande on his internet radio shows! Looking forward to that! I always have fun visiting his show!
Tomorrow from five to six in the evening (central time) I will be doing a twitter interview with Sezoni Whitfield! It will be my first interview about my books since doing Cande's show. I'm very excited for the exposure. Follow us at #WritersKaboodle and check out her website!
I'm also brainstorming my next book. It's going to be new because there will be elements I have yet to write about. Of course, I will be doing plenty of research, which include reading ;-)
I'm currently reading Francis Ray's latest novel All I Ever Wanted. I'm enjoying it so far! Then again I enjoy everything by her! She is my favorite for a reason!
Well all, I have to go now! I've posted my books on some other sites that do free exposure. As soon as I get the links, I will blog about them!

Dream Lover-In Bookstores Soon?
Good morning all!
It's been a busy morning already and it's not even quite 8 in the morning yet here in Texas (7:59 to be precise)!
I had to redo my book on Createspace because of some of my errors I found in my book. Somehow it caused an ISBN issue (another oversight on my part I believe, but I'm learning), so I had to completely "reprint it".
Anyway, long story short, this time around I chose the option to expand my distribution. Which means my book will be put out to be available for stores to distribute it. Could that mean my book will be in a store soon?
We shall see!

The Reviews are In
I'm getting more and more reviews! And so far they are very good! I sent my book to a book club called OOSA Bookclub. They review books by African American authors. I anxiously waited for their review and got it a couple of weeks ago.....4.5 out of 5 stars! Read the whole thing here!
I was too excited!
Someone said in one of the reviews they hope to read Miranda's story soon.
You will! I promise! In fact, this weekend I'm going to try and get with my cover artist and get some work done.
I'm currently working on book six! It's about one of John Parker's former employees. She's now a head chef at restaurant at a resort hotel....that's all I will give away for now.

Only the Best for You All!
Sigh...thank goodness for honest reviews.
A reader noticed that Dream Lover had quite a few grammatical errors. I went in a fixed them immediately. Being that grammar mistakes is one of my biggest pet peeves, I've been a little more than slightly peeved with myself for the mistakes.
But I have acknowledged them and corrected the errors.
Dream Lover should be back up and available for purchase again either sometime tonight or in the morning.
On the plus side, the reader did enjoy the book overall, which for that I'm appreciative and glad.
I only want to put out my best work for anyone willing to read the book. I'm going to continue to work hard and strive to give you all the best work I can.

Wow!
My free download weekend went better than I could have ever imagined! So many downloads and Sunday Dream Lover stayed at number 1 on Amazon's Best Sellers Top Free 100 in the African American Romance genre. I believe I got up to number 4 in the African American Literature genre.
I was floored! And I've gotten a couple more reviews! All good! I truly appreciate everyone who's downloaded the book and has left a review. My latest review said they can't wait for Miranda's story.
It's coming! I promise. It's all but done, we still have to complete the cover.
But once again, many many thanks. Seeing so many people download the book, and the fact that people are eager to hear more from me is what lights a fire under me to continue to write. And believe me people, I've just arrived and I don't plan on going anywhere for a long long time!
