Always In: Release Day Blitz

Always InThe Shore Series #2SYNOPSIS:My name is Raphael Cruz. I was once a man made up of only flesh and bone. Never feeling, just existing. I indulged in the pleasures that others gave to me, and those I gave to them. That's all it was—pleasure. Physical pleasure. No emotions, no attachments. I didn't need all those feelings, didn't want them. There was no longing for love, no longing to let anyone in. Until I found her. And I gave in.

Harlow Hannum showed me what love was all about. I savored it and held it close, not even knowing I really wanted it in my life. She made me feel loved. She made me accept love. She taught me how to love in return. My heart was open to it all. My heart was hers. It belonged to her. But, she never knew. And then lies, deceit and betrayal forced me to lose the one thing that made me more than a man who just existed.

I should have told her I loved her when I had the chance. I should have told her I gave in to all the powers that love possess.

Will I ever have the chance to tell her? Will my past mistakes never give me that chance?

Giving InThe Shore Series #1SYNOPSIS:Raphael Cruz doesn't do it. He just doesn't. Cruz doesn't fall in love. He's a "get in and get out" kind of guy. Ladies love him and fall all over him for his swoon worthy good looks and overwhelming sex appeal. He knows how to talk to them and tells them exactly what they want to hear. When he's done making them scream his name, he shows them straight to the door. The meaning of the word love doesn't exist in his world. But that could all change with a wink of a girl's eye... And one hot-as-hell romp in a bar bathroom.

Harlow Hannum is your typical girl-next-door. She has the brains, the beauty, and the money. What she doesn't have is the luxury of being someone's first choice in the game of love. She always comes in a distant second place, leaving her guarded with her feelings. Lies, betrayal, and secrets of her past follow her wherever she goes, no matter how hard she tries to hide them. That is until she's reunited with the one guy who can ignite the spark in her heart that's been extinguished for so long.

With sunny days, heated nights, and love lingering in the air in the beach town of Sandy Cove anything can happen. Especially when fate steps in for Harlow and Cruz. Will their blossoming friendship turn into unexpected love or will the collision of their opposing worlds be the end of what could have been?

Summer Rain Blog Tour

All proceeds from the volume will be donated to the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (www.rainn.org), the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the United States.
Synopsis

What happens when love gets caught in the rain?
In this romance anthology, RITA-Award winning author Molly O’Keefe shows us the power of a city thunderstorm from the top of a skyscraper, while Amy Jo Cousins soaks us in a rain in Spain. New York Times bestselling author Ruthie Knox’s heroine is devastated by a winter storm, while a summer thunderstorm grants Alexandra Haughton’s hero and heroine a second chance at love. Rain sparks self-awareness in the robot in Charlotte Stein’s story and allows Mary Ann Rivers’s heroine to fall in love with her hero and her own art. Rain causes romance between the college students in Audra North’s and Shari Slade’s stories, while romance causes rain in Cecilia Tan’s myth-inspired tale of a sacrifice to a demi-god. Nine romance novelettes, edited by Sarah Frantz.

 Behind the Book
Summer Rain, like so many projects, started out as nothing more than a simple feeling: a desire to make a positive difference in the world. So often, making a difference begins with giving something. It might be money, time, or both, or something else altogether…but most importantly, it is about giving, and giving vibrantly—with a focused mind, a full heart, and an understanding spirit.
Giving vibrantly leads to vibrant change. Powerful, positive change. Through the incredible generosity of eight other talented authors and one talented editor, that starting point—that desire to make a positive difference—turned into an act of vibrant giving. Summer Rain is a collection of powerful stories about love, written with the hope of making a positive change.
Each year, nearly a quarter of a million sexual assaults are committed in the US, nearly half of them against victims under the age of eighteen. RAINN assists so many of these survivors, not only by operating telephone and online hotlines for victims of sexual abuse, but also by working in partnership with rape crisis centers in the United States of America, providing programs to prevent sexual abuse, and helping to bring abusers to justice.
About the Works
Redemption by Ruthie KnoxJessie Bellin’s cheese shop is failing, her house is falling apart, and the mortgage is ninety days overdue. With nothing left to offer, she’ll take what she can get from the handyman who wants nothing but her body. But when Mike Kaminsky suddenly asks for more, Jessie has to figure out exactly what she wants—and if it’s possible for a woman who’s lost everything to learn how to hope again.
The Heart of It by Molly O’KeefeGabe seems outwardly successful and content, but inwardly, he struggles to banish the lingering demons of his childhood. Elena is a survivor herself and knows that the smart move is to walk away from Gabe. But his pain and his hope are too compelling to resist.
Are these two wounded people brave enough to find love together?
Sacrifice by Cecilia TanWhen a tenth century trader from the Orient sells his daughter to a Macedonian, he doesn’t ask why the man needs a virgin, little knowing she is intended to fulfill an ancient pact with a demigod who can end the crushing drought. But this demigod has sworn off his father’s rapacious ways. With the influence of the ancient pantheon waning, only love can heal them all.
Real Feelings by Charlotte SteinMoira longs for a connection—any kind of connection with anyone—and is beginning to despair she will ever find it. In desperation, she purchases an android, hoping against hope that she can find some solace in a simulation of the real thing. But what she doesn’t expect is Michael—a machine that seems to be more than the sum of his parts.
Rainy Season by Mary Ann RiversLisa Shirek is everyone’s favorite barista. She does more than get her customers’ orders right: she gets her customers. She can see the most painful moments of their lives like stormy weather around their bodies, and she does what she can to soothe that pain with the right smile, the right words, the perfect combination of coffee and foam. Except, then, there’s Mark—he’s a sunbeam, a mystery made of light. He breaks through the storm around her so she can see herself, for herself.
TheRain in Spain by Amy Jo CousinsTravel writer Magda and scientist Javi are cranky with the heat—and each other—on the streets of Sevilla. They’ve been married for a year, after a whirlwind courtship, and Magda is questioning whether or not she made a mistake. She’s not sure if her need to explore the world can ever mesh with Javi’s more regimented life.
As they stroll the cobblestone streets of one of Spain’s most romantic cities, Magda tries to show her husband just what it is she loves so much about her job that keeps her far from home for so long. By the time the sun rises, they’ll know if there is a way forward for them together . . . or not.
Fitting In by Audra NorthStas Petrovich is sure that being elected president of his college class will grant him the social acceptance he craves. But when rain ruins his campaign event, he’s left in the company of the Weird Girl, the one person guaranteed to jeopardize his chances. But he discovers that Leila dos Santos is fun and genuine and sexy as hell, and he’s forced to reconsider what’s most important to him.
Private Study by Shari SladeTess Bell’s sex vlog flashes on another student’s tablet screen in the middle of an economics lecture. Worst of all, the guy she’s been secretly eyeing all semester sees it, too, and asks her out for coffee at the local diner. Is he like their awful classmate, convinced he's owed something because Tess dares to be curious about sex, or does he really want to know her? Only one thing is certain: nothing is private anymore.
Storm Warning by Alexandra HaughtonWhen Amy Collier left behind her dreams—and her pride—in L.A., she hoped for a few quiet months to regroup. She never dreamed her hometown’s welcoming committee would take the form of Tom Wilson. Well, he could just keep his I-told-you-so grin and his sexy-cowboy charm; she doesn’t want any part of it.
Except seeing him again stirs up a storm of emotion, and she must try to reconcile bitter memories of their past with her uncertain future—a future that might be a whole lot brighter with Tom in it.

Next to You Release Day Blitz

Title: Next To You (Life #2)Author: Claudia BurgoaGenre: Contemporary Romance, New Adult

Him
…I need time. Time to heal those wings and learn to use them…
Was part of the letter Rebecca Trent, Daniel Brightmore’s fiancée and best friend left when she ran away. The person he trusted the most for the past decade disappeared without giving him a second glance. She taught him how to love, believe in family and that everyone deserves a happily ever after. Now he’s struggling between wiping any traces of her from his life and drowning his sorrows away with the help of his new best friends—Don Julio and Jack Daniels.
Her
Rebecca’s past suffocated her to the point of not wanting to continue, her lifeline and the only reason to live began to withdraw from her. She wished it had been her imagination, but heard it loud and clear: “If not, there’s always a divorce, nothing is forever.” This time it became a leave or die situation. Something has got to change—she had to change. Packing light and leaving a letter behind, she takes a journey that can help her find herself through the shards of her painful childhood.
As letters, memories and stories are exchanged, two once inseparable people reconcile what’s left of their relationship. Beyond the confines of everything they built together, they’re left with two lonely people searching for what it means to be whole. Will they find meaning under their bruised psyches or will their pasts get the better of them?

Born on the mystical day of October 30th in the not so mystical lands of Mexico City, Claudia grew up with a childhood that resembled a caffeine-injected  soap opera. Seventeen years ago she ventured to the lands of her techie husband—a.k.a. the U.S.—with their offspring to start a new adventure.

She now lives in Colorado working as a CFO for a small IT company, managing her household filled with three confused dogs, said nerd husband, two daughters wrought with fandoms and a son who thinks he’s the boss of the house. To survive she works continually to find purpose for the voices flitting through her head, plus she consumes high quantities of chocolate to keep the last threads of sanity intact.

Book Spotlight: BeJeweled: The Flight of an Angel by Chelle Ramsey

I am sooo excited to have Chelle Ramsey returning to my blog!!!

Today we are spotlighting her latest book, BeJeweled: The Flight of an Angel. I haven't read this one yet, but if it is anything like her last book, Is the Grass Really Greener? I know it's going to be awesome!

She is sharing an excerpt with us today so let's get started!

Excerpt:
“That’s what’s so special about you. Somehow you always see the best in everyone and you find a way to pull it out. Everyone doesn’t have that gift, Ivy.” Raymond lowered his lips to kiss hers.
She smiled as she danced in his arms enjoying the feel of his soft cool lips against her warm ones. As Olivia continued to sway in his arms she slightly parted her lips, allowing his tongue to enter her mouth. The warm rush flowing through her veins, and the slightly heady sense she experienced at the feel of his hands rubbing her back up and down was intoxicating.
Raymond’s mouth pulled away from hers and kissed the lower angle of her jawline. He squeezed her waist between his hands and then pulled away from her.
“What the hell am I gonna do with you, Ivy?” Raymond asked in frustration, walking away rubbing his hands over his low cut hair.
“Maybe I should go now.” Olivia walked to the living room table and picked up her keys and purse.
“Look, come on. I’m sorry. We’ve had a great evening. I don’t want it to end like this.”
“Well what am I supposed to do Ray? I told you where I stood before we decided to move forward in this relationship and you said you understood. You said you supported me. If you can’t do this, I completely understand and respect your decision. But I’m not going to play games. You know where I stand.”
“You’re right, I do know where you stand. But for how long?” Raymond was standing with his back against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, looking absolutely miserable. Olivia wished she could make things better for him, but this was where they both had to make their decisions.
“You know how long.”
“No, I don’t, Ivy. The only thing you said was that you made the decision to be celibate. You never said for how long.”
“And you didn’t question it, Ray. You simply told me, and I quote, ‘The only thing I was sure of after the divorce, was that I wanted to re-connect with you. You’re the one thing I am certain about, and if that
means I have to be celibate, too, then I support you. I just want you in my life, Ivy.’ Was that not what you told me, word for word?” Olivia asked with her keys in her hands and her purse clenched tightly underneath her arm.
“Yes it was.”
“So you’re backing out now?” Olivia could feel her heart sinking and her dreams walking out the door. But she knew he hadn’t made her any promises and she could understand if he chose not to stay around in that capacity in her life. She respected whatever decision he made.
“How long, Ivy?” he repeated.
“Until I’m married. And I know where you stand on that. You made yourself pretty clear.”

About the Author:

An avid reader since her primary years, Chelle Ramsey saw books as an escape mechanism. Excited by the worlds, and characters that could be created with a touch of the imagination, she began writing her own stories at the age of 12. The more enamored with storytelling she became, the more she wanted to create stories about the suffering, and hardships she saw others enduring, with one twist…her characters would rise above their adversities and limitations, but not always with traditional endings. This busy wife, and mother of three, exchanged her Girl Scout Leader pins for her creative writing pen, as she began to focus on publishing her novels. In her spare time, when she isn’t writing, she enjoys reading mystery novels, watching the NBA, remodeling their home with her husband, and spending time with him and their children. Having an MBA in Human Resource Management, she says she cannot wait for the day when writing becomes her full-time career. “If I can show my readers they are not alone, in dealing with their challenges, and that they can rise above their limitations, I have achieved my goal,” Ramsey says.

Book Spotlight: Mirrored by Dalia Florea

Welcome to another book spotlight!

Today we are featuring Dalia Florea and her debut novel Mirrored!

I haven't had the pleasure to read it yet, but it is definitely on my tbr pile! I've seen some great reviews! And I love the cover!

Dalia has been kind enough to share an excerpt with us today!

Excerpt:
From the back he stood very tall, 6’4” I guessed, and although he was wearing black slacks and a burgundy polo shirt, I could still see that his body was in great shape; athletic and toned.  I couldn’t help from zeroing in on his firm butt.  He walked back around to the other side of his desk and turned to face me and I suddenly became breathless.  He was the most beautiful man that I’d ever laid eyes on.  I know that men were not meant to be beautiful, but he was more than handsome.  Thick, dark shiny hair, deep olive complexion, hazel eyes…and those lips, I could almost taste them. His eyes met mine and I felt my heart race.  He motioned for me to come in and have a seat.  I stood paralyzed for a few seconds.  I remember reading about this kind of attraction in romance novels, but never believed the hype.  I pulled myself together, hoping that he hadn’t notice my flushed face.  I sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk. He hung up the telephone, stood up from his chair and reached over to shake my hand. “As you might have already guessed, I’m Detective Andre Moore, but please, call me Andre.”  I blushed as I lifted my hand to touch his.  For a moment words got stuck in my mouth.  I cleared my throat.  “I’m Nicole Watkins, nice to meet you.”  I reluctantly released his hand.  “Can I get you something to drink, Ms. Watkins

Just One Kiss Release Date/ Summer Lovin' Blog Tour

What better way to kick off a blog hop than with a book release!

Guess what day it is!!!

That's right!

It's release day for Just One Kiss and I'm so excited!!! It is live and now available on amazon!
There's nothing like that first kiss, is there? Especially a good...no great, spectacular, knock-you-off-your-feet first kiss!
I believe this is what happens when RJ first takes it upon himself to walk across a crowded bar and kiss Cassandra. That kiss ends up taking them both down a path that neither ever saw coming!
Just One Kiss has been waiting to make its appearance for about two years now. That's when I completed the first draft. And now it's finally here!
Cassandra is a hard worker and is finally taking the opportunity to take a break. RJ becomes a welcomed distraction. However, he has a big secret. RJ is a character I love because in the beginning he may seem kind of like a bad guy. You'll want to dislike him, I will go ahead and tell you that now. But as time goes on, you will grow to like him; and eventually you will root for him!

You will also see the return of some familiar faces! Lila and Zach from After the Storm, Spencer and Miranda from Taking Chances and Henry and Samantha from Always You.
A character who I'd like to call an "honorable mention", because he is not actually seen in this book, is Andrew McAllister. Drew was briefly mentioned in passing in After the Storm as well, but he will make his first appearance in the next book Perfection.
Speaking of Perfection, you will be introduced to its male lead in Just One Kiss, Cassius McAllister, Cassandra's cousin/favorite relative. You will say he needs to mind his own business or he needs a woman! LOL well as you know family can sometimes get in your business whether you like it or not and these two look out for each other through thick and thin.
Perfection comes out November 28th, but you can check out an excerpt at the end of Just One Kiss! Drew's story, Love After War will be released February 13, 2015. So mark your calendars!
A few announcements! In honor of my release day, I Heart Books is helping me with a release day blitz which includes a contest! There are plenty of goodies so make sure you enter to win!

Also, in honor of their book anniversaries, my debut novel Dream Lover and third book Always You are on sale for $.99!! So pick those up as well please and thank you!
Well, all I'm signing off now! Oh! P.s. Starting tomorrow I will be doing Facebook page takeovers! Make sure to follow me on Facebook or check my calendar of events to see which pages I will be taking over!P.s.s. (Lol) This blog post is part of the Summer Lovin' Blog Hop hosted by Hops with Heart! So make sure you check out all of the  great authors/bloggers participating! They are also having a grand prize giveaway!!!
I hope you all enjoy Just One Kiss!
Until next time...
Happy Reading!

Book Spotlight: Finding Forever by Christina Jones

Hi all!

Joining us today for another book spotlight in Christina Jones. She is sharing with us her newly released book Finding Forever.

I have had to the pleasure of reading this book and let me tell you, it is ah-may-zing!!! :-D I will be posting a review very soon!

Today she is sharing an awesome excerpt from the book. Let's check it out!

Excerpt:

“Hey… you know what else your dad told me?”I turned to him as I fished my keys out of my purse. “What’s that?”“He said you were a dancer.”“Oh, jeez,” I said, bursting into laughter. “I did a few years of ballet when I was a little, and to this day, he swears I could have been Misty Copeland. Avery, I was terrible at ballet then, and I’m terrible at dancing now.”“Terrible?”I nodded my head. “Yes, terrible. I mean, I can keep the beat, but that’s about it. And I can grind with the best of them, Des taught me when we were back in college so I wouldn’t totally embarrass her at the club.”“I’ll be the judge of that. Next date, I’m taking you somewhere we can dance.”“Ok, but I warned you….”“Duly noted.” Avery placed my paper-wrapped canvas in the decorative chair beside the door as he watched me unlock it, then turn back to him. He was leaning against the door, giving me a smirk that was somehow sexier than his full smile.“Why are you looking at me like that?”He shrugged. “No real reason. Thinking about one more thing your dad told me.”“Okay… what?” I asked, cocking my head to the side.Avery pushed away from the door, and stepped towards me, prompting me to take a step back. “He said you were ticklish. Like… really, really ticklish… but only in one very particular spot.” He gave me a wicked grin as he came forward another step, and I lifted a finger in warning as I took one more — the last one I could— back.“Don’t you dare, Avery. I hated getting tickled, and I’ve outgrown it anyway.” I pressed my back against the door as he closed the last distance between us. I really had outgrown it, but I didn’t want him trying it anyway... just in case.“Then why,” he said, placing his hands at the exact spot on my waist, “Are you so scared?”“I’m not.” It came out in an unintended whisper, because I couldn’t pull in a deep enough breath to speak aloud. He was soclose, and it was as if my body recognized him, and was trying to tell me, this is the guy who made us feel so damned good. “Mmhmm. Relax. I’m not about to tickle you after you said you hated it.” He didn’t move his hands away from my waist, instead pulling my lower body closer to his. “Besides,” he said, with his mouth so close to my ear I felt the brush of his lips. “Don’t you think I’d know if you were ticklish? I’ve already touched you everywhere, Tori. Remember?”I was too stunned to respond, and I didn’t have a chance anyway, because the next thing I knew, his lips were against mine, and my entire body relaxed in relief, as if I had been waiting on him to do this all night. Had I been waiting on him to do this all night? He teased my lips apart with his tongue, then eased it inside to thrust against mine as I dropped my purse and lifted my hands to the back of his head. I returned his kisses with fervent, frantic ones of my own as he lowered his hands to cup my behind and pull me closer to the eager erection struggling behind the zipper of his jeans. Completely defying everything I’d established about a relationship of any kind with Avery, I was ready to invite him inside. The Maldives were three months too long ago, and his mouth was way too skilled for a silly thing like common sense to prevail.
About the Book:

After her latest ill-fated attempt to find a forever relationship of her own, Tori Kennedy is content with connecting the dots for others, bringing them together in pursuit of lifetime love. Fresh off of the demise of her marriage, she decides to take advantage of an opportunity to do something a little — okay, a lot — crazy, and heavily fueled by an overload of emotions.
Thinking that her impulsive decision and its disastrous results are behind her, Tori moves forward with her pursuit of a happily single existence, until her best friend contacts her with a request that places a constant reminder in her life : Avery.Avery Anderson is the epitome of “the kind of guy your momma warned you about.” Handsome, successful, charming… and not at all interested in being roped into anything that resembles love. Tori ending up in his bed doesn’t surprise him at all — it’s just what he does— but his feelings afterwards? That’s another story. An ultimatum placed on him by his little sister puts him back in arm’s reach of the pretty matchmaker that he can’t get off of his mind, but she’s not taking the bait this time.Tori just wants to be rid of him so that she can move on with her life, and it’s not Avery’s style to chase someone who doesn’t want to be caught. When both parties are content to let the spark flicker out, can love — or something like that— still lead the way to forever?

Book Spotlight: Her Perfect Candidate by Candace Shaw

Hey all!
Welcome back for another book spotlight this week! So far we've had Christy Pastore with her debut novel, Fifteen Weekend; and Sharon C. Cooper with her Harlequin Kimani debut novel, Legal Seduction.
Joining us today, with another Harlequin Kimani debut novel, is Candace Shaw!
Congrats Candace on your debut with Harlequin Kimani!
She will be sharing an excerpt from her book, Her Perfect Candidate, the first in her Chasing Love Series!
Let's take a look...
Excerpt:
When Steven saw Megan looking up at him from the bottom of the staircase, he was captivated. He thought the dress she’d worn when he met her was sexy, but there she stood in jeans even sexier, and she wasn’t even trying.“Wow, you look great,” he said, reaching out his hand to her to lead her back upstairs. “Our table is up here. I was told it’s your favorite.”Once seated, the waiter took their drink and lunch order. Thirty minutes later, they were eating shrimp po’ boys and fries and laughing at all of the blind dates Megan had been on lately.“So let me get this straight,” Steven said, amused, “This dude was on a date with you trying to sell you a time-share?” He laughed again, taking a sip of his tea. “Did you buy one?”“No, I declined. Then he tried to tell me about some other get-rich-quick scheme. I have tons of stories.”“Why do your family and friends keep setting you up? You’re breathtaking. I would assume men ask you out all of the time.”She lowered her head and tried to stifle a smile when he mentioned she was breathtaking. He didn’t want to embarrass her. He was merely speaking the truth. She twirled a French fry around in the ketchup before looking back up and answering him.“They do, but I always cancel at the last minute or find some reason not to go on a second date. My girlfriends say I’m just being picky so they set me up with guys that they think would be perfect for me.”“So how many dates are we going to go on before you decide to dump me, too?” he asked jokingly.“This isn’t a date. We’re supposed to be discussing decorating your future home. You haven’t even looked at my portfolio yet.” She reached into her oversize leather tote bag and pulled out her tablet and slid it across the table to him.“To be honest, I’m having such a great time that I forgot this was supposed to be business luncheon. My meetings are usually with old men discussing politics, investments and golf. Not with an adorable woman cracking me up with her blind-date history.”“Trust me they weren’t that funny to be on, that’s for sure. I’ve asked my friends both politely and rudely to stop.”“Why do they keep setting you up? Did something happen in a past relationship?” he asked, thinking about what Shawn read earlier.“Ever since my last long-term relationship ended, they think I’m lonely for a man because all I do is work. But what they fail to realize is that I’m happy being single. I enjoy my freedom. I was with my ex for almost four years and my world was centered on him. I helped him start his medical practice right after I started my interior-decorating business with Jade. I began to lose sight of my dreams and ambitions that he wasn’t even being supportive of in the first place. After I found out he was cheating with a nurse in his office, I dumped him and focused on me and building my business. I’m not lonely, but no one seems to understand except me.”“They sound like my brother and campaign manager. Just earlier today, they were telling me to settle down with one person. They think that would somehow improve my image and give me a better shot of winning the nomination for my father’s seat.”“Well, you are a self-proclaimed playboy,” she said, shrugging her shoulders and rolling her eyes away from his with a grin.He chuckled at her sarcasm. “The media says that. Truth is, I’ve been married before—didn’t work out. Like you, I enjoy my single life. No strings. No attachments. No hearts to break.”“I wish I could just tell my family and friends I have a boyfriend so they can stop harassing me.” She threw the cloth napkin from her lap into her plate and sat back in her seat.Steven studied her angelic face, which at the moment appeared disturbed. He knew what she was going through. But now that he’d had met Megan, he wanted to get to know her better. Even though, it seemed as if she wanted to be single and free. Heck, so did he, but he knew he needed to settle down his dating habits and clean up his image if he wanted to win the nomination. Most of the potential candidates for his father’s seat were either engaged or married with families, summer homes and of course a beloved dog. He didn’t even have a dog.As he watched Megan, he saw the epitome of what he wanted in a woman. Graceful, refined, sexy without having to try, successful and independent. He was ready to learn about her other qualities, as well.“You know Megan, you could just tell them you’re dating me.”“But that would be a lie,” she answered, shaking her head.“It wouldn’t have to be.”
