#FriskyFriday-The Dressing Room (continued)

Greetings lovelies! It's Friday again, which means it is time to get frisky! If you were here with me on Sunday for the #SexySnippet, you got a taste of what was going on with my two characters in my upcoming book Just One Kiss! I'm glad you've returned to see what happens! So I won't keep you waiting any longer! Enjoy!

RJ realized he'd greatly underestimated how it would be to sit while Cassandra tried on dresses. At first when he waited for her to come out in the first dress, he figured it would be boring just sitting there waiting for her to come out in dress after dress. When she came out in the first dress, he felt his throat dry and his body stiffen. He sat there watching her as she looked at herself in the mirror, turning this way and that before turning to him.“Well,” she said twirling around, “what do you think?”“I think you look amazing.”“It is a nice dress,” she said turning to look in the mirror again.“Maybe you try on some more to see if there is something you like better.”She turned and looked at the rack. “There are so many, but I think you're right. I'll try on a few more.”Then he found himself becoming more and more eager to see her in each dress. Each dress looked better than the last, and they all fit her amazing figure to perfection. Soon he was thinking more about getting her out of each dress. He looked over his shoulder. Gwen hadn't come back yet and he figured she wouldn't be back unless one of them called her. The dressing area was in the back and around the corner. It would be so easy for him to slip in the dressing room with her. Before his next thought, he was up and over to the dressing room in a couple of quick strides. He whipped the curtain open, causing Cassandra to jump. His eyes darkened immediately at seeing Cassandra in only her underwear.“RJ!” she whispered, trying to cover herself and close the curtain at the same time. “You're not supposed to be in here.”“Don't worry,” he said with a wolfish grin. “No one else is here, remember?”“What about Gwen?”“I doubt she'll be coming back here anytime soon.”He stepped in and closed the curtain.Cassandra took a step back and found she was up against the wall. His large body nearly took up the entire dressing room. She shook her head nervously, but she had a shy smile on her face. “RJ, I don't think we should do this here.”He smiled back at her and skimmed the back of his fingers down her throat to the top of her breasts. “Come on Cassy, I thought you were the type who liked living a little dangerously.”Never one to turn down a challenge, she slid her hand around his neck, stood on tiptoe and kissed with so him much heat they could have burned down the whole dress shop.RJ lifted her up and wrapped her legs around his waist and began to kiss her neck. He rocked his hips against her center and she moaned at the movement. His hand slid up her back to her bra and he was just about to unhook it when his phone rang.He reached into his pocket, grabbed his phone and turned it off. “What if it was important?” Cassandra asked.“Believe me, nothing is as important as-”The phone began ringing again. He swore under his breath, dropping his forehead to touch hers. He placed her down on her feet and pulled his phone out of his pocket again. It was Carmen calling. He swore again. Since she knew where he was and what he was doing, he knew she wouldn't call unless it was important.“I'm sorry, baby, I have to take this.”She simply nodded. “Go take your call. I've narrowed my choices down. I shouldn't be much longer.”“That's good to know, because I want to finish what we started in here.”He kissed her then turned and walked out to answer the phone.“Carmen," he said through gritted teeth, extremely annoyed with his sister, "now is a really not a good time.”
“RJ,” Carmen said in a worried tone, “Mother knows where you are.”

Always YouAuthor: Missy JohnsonSYNOPSIS:I was thrilled when I was offered a graduate teaching position at the prestigious Tennerson Girls Academy. At twenty-three, this would be my first ‘real’ teaching assignment. Working at the elite boarding school, home to the daughters of some of the wealthiest people in the world, was a great opportunity that I would’ve been stupid to pass up.
One week into my new job, and I suddenly had no idea why I chose high school…I was a seventeen year old boy once, I knew how teenage girls behaved.
You can’t even imagine the hell of trying to teach thirty, hormonal driven seventeen year olds who have been cooped up, away from any male contact.
I could handle the whispers every time I entered the room. I could even handle the obvious attempts at gaining my attention. What I couldn’t handle was her…
Rich bitches and way too many rules. Was it any wonder that I hated school?
Add to that the lack of male contact, and I was going insane. Like literally. I wasn’t used to this. A year ago I was normal. I had a boyfriend, friends and a loving family. There is nothing normal about me anymore, and nobody here lets me forget that.
My name is Wrenn, and I’m only here because my aunt took me in after what happened, but my aunt also happens to be the headmistress of this academy…Can you see my problem?
I’m hated for my lack of money, and I’m hated for who my Aunt is.
Then he arrived. Dalton Reed. My new history teacher.
Slowly, he helped me see that even in the worst situations, there is always hope.

EmergeS.E. HallSYNOPSIS:“You never have to be without me, Laney, never.”
He lied…my everything I ever knew, trusted, wanted…I am, in fact, without him.
On my own and out of my shell, I learn new things about life, friendship and…myself.
Like what you’ve always known may not be what you’ve always wanted.
Dane Kendrick awakened things within me that I never knew existed, unraveling and uncovering the real Laney Jo Walker.
I’m a NEW adult…so is my story.

FADINGE.K. BlairSYNOPSIS:Can a guilty conscience keep wounds from healing?
Fine arts major, Candace Parker, grew up with a mother who thinks image is everything, and her daughter’s perfection will never be good enough. About to graduate college and pursue her dreams of becoming a professional ballerina, Candace decides it’s time to let go and have a little fun. But fun is short-lived when a brutal attack leaves her completely shattered.
The memories that consume and torment Candace are starting to destroy her when she meets Ryan Campbell, a successful bar owner. He feels instantly connected and tries to show her that hope is worth fighting for. But is Ryan harboring his own demons? As walls slowly begin to chip away, the secrets that are held within start to become painful burdens.
At what point do secrets become lies?
(17+) This book contains mature subject matter that is not suitable for those under the age of 17.

Fallen Crest HighTIJANSYNOPSIS:Mason and Logan Kade are two brothers who did their own thing. They were rich and expected to attend her school, Fallen Crest Academy. They chose public school and now Samantha has to live with them. The problem is that she doesn't care at all: about them, about her friends, about her cheating boyfriend, or even about her parent's divorce. But maybe that's a good thing. Maybe change is a good thing.

Shattered TiesK.A. RobinsonSYNOPSIS:With a former supermodel mother and a rock-and-roll legend father, Emma Preston has the best of everything. Nothing is as perfect as it seems though. After her parents divorce, she’s forced to live with her mother in a private Santa Monica community. Ignoring their parental roles, her mother becomes more focused on climbing the social ladder while her father is off on tour.
Growing up in a trailer park with his mother, Jesse is used to people looking down on him. When his mother begs him to submit an application for a scholarship to one of Santa Monica’s top private schools, he never expects to actually get it. When he does, he is forced to attend school with a bunch of rich kids. He ignores their stares as they judge him for having tattoos and a less than impressive car. As long as he has his surfboard and the guys at the tattoo shop, he knows he can make it through.
When Jesse shows up on the first day of school, Emma can’t help but be intrigued. Her mother would never approve of Emma talking to someone so poor, but she doesn’t care because something about Jesse draws her to him.
Jesse tries to hate Emma, but he discovers that he can’t resist her. Forced to hide their relationship from Emma’s mother and everyone else around them, things start to fall apart. When Jesse’s friend, Ally, decides to interfere, things go from bad to worse.

Each dress looked better than the last, and they all fit her amazing figure to perfection. Soon he was thinking more about getting her out of each dress she was trying on. He looked over his shoulder. Gwen hadn't come back yet and he figured she wouldn't be back unless one of them called her for assistance. The dressing area was in the back and around the corner. It would be so easy for him to slip in the dressing room with her. Alright! Now let's get a little frisky!

This week's excerpt comes from After the Storm. There's nothing quite like a first kiss, especially after having an emotional moment with someone.

Enjoy!

She sat back. “Oh goodness,” she said, pressing her hand to his chest, “I've got your shirt all wet.”He cupped her face in his hands and wiped her tears with his thumbs. “It'll dry.”The tears were gone, but he kept stroking her face. Suddenly he stopped, but kept his hands on her face. She knew it was coming. She couldn't move. She felt his face inch closer to hers. She let out a wisp of breath, then his mouth slowly, covered hers. It was the gentlest kiss, but they both felt like their bodies exploded. She let out a sigh and he deepened the kiss. She slipped her arms around his neck to pull him closer and his control slipped just a little. He wrapped an arm around her waist and ran his other hand through her hair.Zach relished in the feel of Lila's body pressed against him. Her lips were the softest he'd ever felt, but they were torturing in the most sensual way. He knew he needed to pull away soon, but when she moaned into his mouth, he nearly lost all control. It was the ringing of his cell phone that broke the spell that they seemed to have fallen under.“You should get that,” she said against his mouth. He shook his head squeezing her tighter. “It can wait.”She put her hands on his chest to form a barrier, but still hadn't taken her mouth away from his. “What if it's someone calling to make sure you're alright?”He knew she was right. He pulled away and touched his forehead to hers. “What are you doing to me?”She exhaled deeply and said, “I could ask you the same thing.”His phone began ringing again. He gave her another quick, deep kiss then got up to answer his phone.

About the book:
Available on AmazonLila McAllister is exhausted. So much so that her grandfather insists for her to go on a sabbatical. She takes off from the big city, and the probing paparazzi, for some rest and relaxation in her family's home town of Galveston, Texas.

While there she meets Mixed Martial Arts fighter Zach Thomas, who is also taking a break from the world after his latest fight. A rocky first encounter, and even being stuck together in a hurricane can't seem to dim the passion igniting between these two. Book Review: A Woman’s Worth by Chicki Brown

Hello all!
Today I will be sharing my Amazon review for A Woman’s Worth by Chicki Brown:

Chicki Brown Shows the Power of Love in A Woman’s Worth
Gianne Marvray is a cancer survivor and now she is ready to live. When Marc Stafford, the son of Gianne’s doctor, offers to show her a healthier way to live, she takes him up on his offer.
Marc Stafford knows from the moment he sees Gianne that he wants her in his life. He tells everyone around him that he only wants to help her improve her lifestyle by teaching her healthier habits; but even he’s not convinced.
They both have personal issues they have to deal with, and even though they can’t stop the budding relationship, Gianne continues to try to push Marc away. But Marc does a wonderful job of fighting for Gianne and proving that he is worthy of her affection.
I absolutely loved this book. It is the first in the Stafford Brothers series and you get to meet all of the brothers in this book as well as other family members. This story shows a true family, flaws and all.
It also delves into the world of raw vegans. While I don’t think I could personally do it (haha!), Miss Brown gives a lot of great information and mentions some interesting soundings meals I would try making for my health-conscious husband!
A Woman’s Worth has a little bit of everything: humor, emotion, drama romance, and it is informative as well.

I’m very eager to read more from the Stafford Brothers Series!
Get your copy of A Woman's Worth on Amazon!
Also check out her blog.

Hello all!

I'm honored to be the first stop on Chelle Ramsey's blog tour! She is sharing an excerpt from her latest book BeJeweled: The Flight of an Angel and I'm sure it will be just as amazing as her other books! She will be touring lots of great authors sharing wonderful tidbits about the book!

And be sure to follow Chelle on her book tour now through June 5th. Tomorrow she will be visiting Pamela Kay Brown!

Let's take a peek at the excerpt!

Olivia & Ray Excerpt – Letting Him Go “That’s what’s so special about you. Somehow you always see the best in everyone and you find a way to pull it out. Everyone doesn’t have that gift, Ivy.” Raymond lowered his lips to kiss hers. She smiled as she danced in his arms enjoying the feel of his soft cool lips against her warm ones. As Olivia continued to sway in his arms she slightly parted her lips, allowing his tongue to enter her mouth. The warm rush flowing through her veins, and the slightly heady sense she experienced at the feel of his hands rubbing her back up and down was intoxicating.Raymond’s mouth pulled away from hers and kissed the lower angle of her jawline. He squeezed her waist between his hands and then pulled away from her.“What the hell am I gonna do with you, Ivy?” Raymond asked in frustration, walking away rubbing his hands over his low cut hair.“Maybe I should go now.” Olivia walked to the living room table and picked up her keys and purse.“Look, come on. I’m sorry. We’ve had a great evening. I don’t want it to end like this.”“Well what am I supposed to do Ray? I told you where I stood before we decided to move forward in this relationship and you said you understood. You said you supported me. If you can’t do this, I completely understand and respect your decision. But I’m not going to play games. You know where I stand.”“You’re right, I do know where you stand. But for how long?” Raymond was standing with his back against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, looking absolutely miserable. Olivia wished she could make things better for him, but this was where they both had to make their decisions.“You know how long.”“No, I don’t, Ivy. The only thing you said was that you made the decision to be celibate. You never said for how long.”“And you didn’t question it, Ray. You simply told me, and I quote, ‘The only thing I was sure of after the divorce, was that I wanted to re-connect with you. You’re the one thing I am certain about, and if that means I have to be celibate, too, then I support you. I just want you in my life, Ivy.’ Was that not what you told me, word for word?” Olivia asked with her keys in her hands and her purse clenched tightly underneath her arm.“Yes it was.”“So you’re backing out now?” Olivia could feel her heart sinking and her dreams walking out the door. But she knew he hadn’t made her any promises and she could understand if he chose not to stay around in that capacity in her life. She respected whatever decision he made.“How long, Ivy?” he repeated.“Until I’m married. And I know where you stand on that. You made yourself pretty clear.”

About The Author

An avid reader since her primary years, Chelle saw books as an escape mechanism. Excited by the worlds, and characters that could be created with a touch of the imagination, she began writing her own stories at the age of 12. The more enamored with storytelling she became, the more she wanted to create stories about the suffering, and hardships she saw others enduring, with one twist…her characters would rise above their adversities and limitations, but not always with traditional endings. This busy wife, and mother of three, exchanged her Girl Scout Leader pins for her creative writing pen, as she began to focus on publishing her novels. In her spare time, when she isn’t writing, she enjoys reading mystery novels, watching the NBA, remodeling their home with her husband, and spending time with him and their children. Having received her MBA in Human Resource Management, she says she cannot wait for the day when writing becomes her full-time career. “If I can show my readers they are not alone, in dealing with their challenges, and that they can rise above their limitations, I have achieved my goal,” Ramsey says.

#FriskyFriday...First Kiss

Hey all!

Today I'm trying something kind of new. It's Friday so let's get frisky for the weekend! I'll be sharing an excerpt from one of my books.
This week's excerpt comes from my first book Dream Lover.
What happens when things between best friends get taken to a hotter level. Read on and experience John and Liz's first intimate kiss:
John was at the large island when she walked into the kitchen. He tried not to let his amusement show on his face. She was wearing a large t-shirt that looked like it swallowed her whole, stopping right below her knees. She'd pulled her hair back into a loose and messy ponytail and washed the make up off of her face. He knew exactly what she was trying to do. She was trying to look as unappealing as possible. Little did she know, to him, she was just as sexy in what she had on now as that little number she'd had on earlier. He saw the smile on her face when she saw him slicing up her favorite fruit, and had all of the ingredients assembled for her favorite dessert that he only made just for her. Peaches flambe. She hopped up on a high bar stool at the island. His eye wandered slightly as he noticed the large shirt inch it's way up as she sat down and fidgeted, showing off a peek of her thigh. He added the peaches to the skillet that already had melted butter and brown sugar. As he was began to stir them, he looked over his shoulder at Liz.“So, Lizzie, when do you think they will have the art show?”She let out a hopeful sigh. “Soon, I hope. I will try to call Anjelah on Monday.”He nodded, then turned his attention back to the peaches to flip them over. He didn't say much more as he was stirring and thinking. He smiled as he added the rum to the peaches. He held the skillet and swirled it contents around for a few seconds. She was running from him, from whatever it was happening between them. He tilted the skillet slightly so that the fire would catch and flambe the peaches. They were like this dessert, he thought. They were swirling around each other, but very soon, they would catch on fire.“I'm still amazed by that whole thing,” he heard her say, referring to his expert handling of the fire.He thought that he would take good care of the fire that ignited between them when it happen. Aloud he simply said, “It just takes careful practice.”Once the flame died down, he stirred it a little bit more. Somehow he knew, their fire would never die out.“Is there any ice cream?”He had just pour the peaches into a bowl. He looked at her and pretended to be annoyed by her question. He suddenly turned and opened the freezer. “Now Peaches,” he said with his head in the freezer, “You should know me well enough by now, to know I would not make your favorite dessert unless it was exactly the way you like it.” He turned around and held up a tub of vanilla ice cream. He added a few large scoops of ice cream on top of the peaches. After putting the tub of ice cream back in the freezer, he came around the island and sat on the stool next to her. As always, they shared the bowl of peaches flambe covered in ice cream, fighting over the bigger slices of peaches and laughing. As Liz was laughing and trying to put a large scoop of ice cream in her mouth, some of it slid down the sides of her mouth. He turned to her and stared at her for a moment. Then he reached over and wiped one side of her mouth with his thumb. He'd done this many many times before, but this time, he took his thumb and tasted the ice cream on it. It was mixed with peaches flambe, ice cream and her strawberry lip gloss. That was his undoing. He leaned towards her and when she didn't pull away as she did before, he slowly licked the ice cream from the other side of her mouth. She let out a small gasp and his mouth covered hers quickly. He vaguely heard the sound of her dropping the spoon. When he felt her wrap her arms around his neck and open her mouth to him, he stood and put his arms around her waist and pulled her to him, dipping his tongue in her mouth and swirling it around to taste her.The combination of the dessert and her own sweet taste was intoxicating. He could kiss her forever. Suddenly, he heard her gasp and she pushed away. She looked terrified. “What are we doing?” she said trying to steady her breath. He stepped towards her. “Lizzie...”She shook her head as the tears welled up in her eyes. “No,” she said with her hands out in front of her to block him from her. “This can't be happening. It just can't!” Then she turned and ran, leaving him alone in the kitchen. He pounded his fist on the island and cursed. He hadn't meant for that to happen. His control had momentarily slipped.“Just give her time, she'll come around.” He turned to see Lila standing in the doorway where Liz had retreated from moments earlier.“You know our girl can be quite stubborn.”He nodded looking over her shoulder. Then he asked, “How long have you been around?”“I was coming down one of the halls and caught a glimpse of Liz running to her room. She looked too upset to bother right now.” She sniffed and walked over to the bowl of melting ice cream over peaches. “You gonna finish that?”He gave her smile that did not reach his eyes, then pushed the bowl towards her. “Have at it. I've lost my appetite.”

About the Book:
John and Liz have been best friends for years. Liz is content for things to stay just the way they are. But John's feelings for Liz begin to grow beyond a platonic friendship.

Can he convince Liz to open her eyes and her heart to the beauty of what could be?

#SexySnippet "Just one..."

Hey all!

I'm sharing another Sexy Snippet with you all this Sunday. This time it is coming from my third title, Always You!

Enjoy!

“Just one,” she said, trying to sound firm. The husky tone of her voice betrayed her, letting on that she was more aroused than serious. She held the chocolate up and he bit half of it, then took the other half and held it up to her mouth. She ate the rest of the chocolate and he ran his thumb across her bottom lip then he took his own thumb into his mouth, never taking his eyes off of hers. She let out a heated breath at the exact same moment he leaned down kissed her. He swept his tongue across her lips. “I like your chocolate much better when it’s mixed with you,” he said, his mouth still pressed closely to hers.

Book Review: Every Road to You by Phyllis Bourne

Good evening all!
I hope you all are doing well! Today I'm sharing a book review for a book I just loved!

I have also posted the review on amazon.

Phyllis Bourne takes you on a whirlwind adventure in Every Road to You!
Tia Gray runs Espresso Sanctuary. When she gives a makeover to a dear old friend, the transformation isn’t just on the outside, it’s on the inside as well. Carol feels young again and she’s out to do all of the things she’s been missing out on, much to the dismay of her grandson Ethan Wright.
When Carol decides to take off on a road trip, on the back of a motorcycle no less, Ethan demands that Tia come along with him to find her and talk some sense into his grandmother.
What ensues is a road trip full of adventures, fun and quite bit of heat! Tia and Ethan’s attraction is obvious from the beginning, despite their constant butting of heads.
I have read all of Mrs. Bourne’s Kimani Romance books and she has a wonderful way of bringing out your emotions when reading her books. You will definitely laugh and maybe even cry a little! Her stories are heartwarming as well as high sensual.
You can find all of her wonderful books on Amazon!
Pick it up! I'm sure you will enjoy it! And look for more book reviews in the future!
Happy Reading!

#SexySnippet...Time for dessert...

Good day all!!!
I hope this Sunday finds you all in good sorts!
Today's Sexy Snippet comes from my first book, Dream Lover!
Just a quick FYI: one of John's nicknames for Liz is "Peaches" because of her love for the fruit! Read on ;-)

“...I didn't make any kind of dessert.”He nimbly lifted her up and sat her on the island. Standing in between her legs, he held her face in his hands and gave her a kiss that seared her from her head all the way to her toes.He gave her an intensely passionate stare, then leaned forward kissing the base of her neck. He inhaled her scent that was now scorched into his memory and would be able to determine blindfolded. As he continued to kiss her neck he murmured, “Haven't you figured it out yet? I'm having Peaches for dessert.”
About the book:
John and Liz have been best friends for years. Liz is content for things to stay just the way they are. But John's feelings for Liz begin to grow beyond a platonic friendship.
Can he convince Liz to open her eyes and her heart to the beauty of what could be?Dream Lover Available on Amazon.
