Deadly Storms – From Abroad to Home
If you’ve already picked up Deadly Storms, you’ll find a “Dear Reader” message that talks about some of the complexities of writing this story. From having to find translators and cultural reviewers to tackling the very real issues of PTSD all while still focusing on characters and relationships this book became both one of my biggest challenges and one of my greatest rewards as an author.

As many of you may already know, Deadly Storms was slotted to be released last year but it was pulled. There was so much going on in the world at that time I felt it was best to go over it one more time and to wait a little longer to release it as a way to show respect to others in the real world and, to the characters in the book who I wanted everyone to understand and love.
I’m glad that I waited and took more time with this book. I love the couple so much and feel that their journey as characters and as a couple is beautiful and fulfilling.

We travel to the Middle East and back home to Knightly in the California Sierra over a span of several years learning about Shabina’s plight and seeing what an amazingly strong woman she has become. Having PTSD doesn’t diminish her courage. Like many who truly have PTSD, courage comes in many forms. Sometimes just being able to sleep at night, or function during a particularly difficult day or experience is an act of courage. I wanted to acknowledge that.
The deep respect and love that Shabina and Rainier have for one another finds its way to what I feel is one of my most romantic love stories. Two wounded people, two courageous people, fighting together against a common enemy and finding love along the way is one of the best Happy-Ever-After stories to write about. I hope you all enjoy it.

Inside the World of the GhostWalkers: Science, Romance, and the Ultimate Warriors

Diego Campos and the GhostWalkers are elite soldiers, each possessing unique enhancements that make them formidable weapons. But they are also human, with vulnerabilities, fears, and desires which is easily seen in the very first chapter of Thunder Game. Diego and Leila’s battles don’t just take place in the field but in their hearts as well.
One of the things I love most about writing this series is weaving together the adrenaline-pumping action with the deep, emotional connections that define true romance. These warriors are fiercely protective of the women or men they love, and the bonds they form are unbreakable, even in the face of unimaginable danger.
The science behind the GhostWalkers is one of the most thrilling aspects of the series to research. Advances in genetic manipulation, bioengineering, and psychic abilities have long been explored in scientific communities, and it’s fascinating to see just how much of my fictional world is rooted in reality. But I also love diving into the heart of my characters—exploring their struggles, their pasts, and the way they come together to create their own family.

Thunder Game is where science meets romance, danger meets devotion, and warriors find love in the most unexpected ways.

Exploring the Appalachian Mountains: A Journey of Discovery
When I first started researching the Appalachian Mountains for my novel, Lightning Game, I had no idea the journey I was about to embark on as I continued to research for Thunder Game.

I’ve always been fascinated by rugged landscapes and the people who call them home, but there is something truly special about the Appalachians—something wild, untamed, and deeply rooted in tradition. The more I learned, the more I fell in love with this incredible region.

The Appalachians stretch across vast distances, their rolling ridges and mist-shrouded peaks holding secrets as old as time. These mountains are filled with history, legends, and a strength that is reflected in the people who live there. Generations of families have thrived in this unforgiving yet breathtakingly beautiful landscape, developing a resilience and resourcefulness that I find deeply inspiring. Their knowledge of the land, ability to survive in the harshest conditions, and unwavering sense of community reminded me so much of the GhostWalkers—a group of warriors who rely not just on their enhanced abilities, but on their wits, loyalty, and trust in one another.
One of the most fascinating aspects of my research was delving into the survival skills that many Appalachian families pass down through the generations. Living off the land isn’t just a matter of convenience—it’s a way of life. Hunting, foraging, and understanding the rhythms of nature are essential skills, and it amazed me how much these practices align with the way my GhostWalkers must operate in the field.
I can’t wait for you to dive into this latest GhostWalker adventure and experience the Appalachians through the eyes of my characters. The mountains hold more than just beauty; they hold danger, mystery, and the kind of strength that runs deep in the blood.
Stay tuned for more updates on Thunder Game! And as always, happy reading!

A Journey with Dragons

I have always loved fantasy, paranormal and romance. I love reading it. I love writing it. When I started writing my Dark/Carpathian series I knew this would be more than just vampire stories. In my world vampires were truly evil. Carpathian warriors, immortals of a sort, fought evil, including vampires, but if they didn’t find their lifemate the males could turn vampire. What else was different? All of my Carpathians could shapeshift. They could use the earth and elements to heal themselves or create things, like clothing.
It didn’t take long to introduce psychics, mages, monsters and dragons.

And just wait until you see what's in store in Dark Hope!
Because Carpathians could shapeshift, many of them chose the form of dragons. But, like other animals they can shift into, dragons existed on their own. They were rare, but they existed.
In Dark Storm we meet a real dragon that gives over his magic, and form, to a Carpathian warrior named Danutdaxton (Dax).
The series has some Carpathians known as “Dragonseekers”. Razvan in Dark Slayer, Dominic in Dark Peril, Tatjiana in Dark Lycan and the list goes on. Dragons will always be part of this series in some way.
In my real life I’ve always loved dragons and I have some that are crystals and some that are drawings. Most people who know me, know I love them as well as I love wolves and leopards. So, when I learned about 3D printing and got a printer it was a natural thing for me to learn to print dragons.

First, let me say that I am not the most technologically knowledgeable person. If you’ve watched any of my Facebook Live events, you know that. Lol
I took the time to teach myself how to use the printers. Although in learning, and even now, I come out with some beautiful but slightly imperfect dragons. Still I love it…most of the time. So, I got another printer and talked to my daughter, Manda, about it and she got one. This was going to be something we could together and talk about. It would be fun.
As time went by, I made more and more dragons, most of which went to charity events. But, when it was suggested that I make some for San Diego Comic Con I realized that I wanted to make unique and exclusive dragons that would be solely mine and that I wanted to create a dragon for each of my characters in the Dark series.
You can imagine my surprise when the 70 dragons I sent to ComicCon sold out in three days!
Since Feehan & Co was already selling merchandise for my series and that of my son Brian Feehan, I thought it might be fun to sell the dragons there.

Each dragon represents a character in one of my Dark series novels. I started with the first four books in the series – Dark Prince, Dark Desire, Dark Gold and Dark Magic. Most recently, I created the dragons for all of the tarot-themed books. You can see all of the dragons here on Feehan & Co.
I hired two 3D print artists to create print files using my concept ideas for dragons. We started with “Stone Dragons” of which there are 3 types – Large standing dragons, long dragons and baby dragons. But once I got to Gregori’s book I knew he had to be a “Wolf Dragon” so I sent concept ideas to the artists and had those created.

Luis Aquino and Cleber Moreira are both from Brazil and are the two artists I worked with to help bring my dragons to 3D printer life. They are amazing and so willing to work with me and answer all my questions.
We are working on Leopard Dragons now and I’m so excited to see them.
I created a lily dragon and peony dragon as well. And of course, Dax would be special since he is merged with a real dragon. And finally, for Dark Hope, we have a very special Tree Dragon.

Tatijana and Branislava were already ice and fire dragons so I had those created specifically for them. If you look at the Feehan and Co landing page you’ll see some of the special dragons including Tatijana and Branislava.
It was exciting to see the dragons go up on the Feehan and Co site. And equally as exciting to see them sell out so fast! I can honestly say that I wasn’t prepared for that, though I was hoping they would be popular.
Now I’m making more and starting to add additional characters. Since Dark Hope will be out in January, I now have included all of the characters from the tarot books- Dark Tarot, Dark Whisper, Dark Memory and Dark Hope.
I’ll continue to add new dragons/characters every couple of months or so. After the tarot book characters I’ll go back to doing them in chronological order. So the next four books would be – Dark Challenge, Dark Fire, Dark Dream (out now) and Dark Legend.
There are 38 stories in that series and by the end of January there will be 12 books that have dragons assigned to the characters.
The great thing about having this hobby is that I can start the print and then go and write for hours at a time. Once they get going it doesn’t consume my time but it still ties in with my imagination and stories. It feels like an extension of the stories and I’m so happy to share that with readers.
I hope people enjoy the dragons. They come with a collector card and a certificate of authenticity. Each one is imprinted with my logo. I make them myself and their design comes from my imagination.

Let me know if you have any questions. I’m always happy to know what interests you!

The Complexities of Betrayal: Betrayal Road

This novel looks at both sides – the betrayed and the betrayer. When Maestro goes undercover the last thing he expects is to fall in love with his mark, Azelie, a woman who already knows betrayal well. And because Maestro has known betrayal most of his life he knows what he’s doing can’t be undone.
Unfortunately, he has to choose between saving the lives of women and children who have been taken to be trafficked, and betraying a woman who has claimed his heart. He can’t betray his brothers and sister of Torpedo Ink. He won’t. He’s in a position where he feels the weight of the betrayal he must commit.
During the time I was writing this book I was dealing with a situation that kept me focused on the that theme – betrayal. A child in my family was being bullied, not only by other children, but by their parents. A child on the spectrum who didn’t fully understand why or how this could be happening. Her friends turned their back on her and so did adults. I couldn’t fathom it. She was different. Like the characters in my book. Maybe not exactly, but being different set her apart and made her a target. And although she didn’t have Maestro to swoop in and fix it all, she has her family.
Families can be heroes.
Sometimes those families look different for different people. They might be traditional. They might be chosen families. They might be the elderly ladies in the coffee shop who encourage you.

In the end I wanted this story to take a long, hard look at what betrayal is and what it does. And to know that if you are betrayed there can be someone who cares about what that does to you. Someone who will be there for you.
I try to always make each book different. This one is definitely that. And Maestro is the hero who surprised me all the while I was writing this story. I hope readers enjoy it.

Tell me how you deal with betrayal or any words of advise you find helpful.

International Storytelling: CF Books Across the Globe
It’s always both humbling and exciting to know my books are being read all over the world. Hearing from readers in Germany, France, Italy and so many other amazing places allows me to really feel the importance of stories. Of books. Of the written word.

I write paranormal romance, fantasy romance and romantic suspense but more importantly I write about hope. We all, all around the world, want to be surrounded by friends, family, support, acceptance, hope and of course love. I like to believe that my books show that we all deserve that.
I have been so blessed to meet so many of my readers here in the U.S. And it’s amazing when readers come from countries all over the world to meet me at events. My U.S. readers love meeting readers from abroad and I love to listen to them talk about books and reading and their favorite authors. I’m so happy to be among those authors.
