Crazy days of summer

Forget the “lazy” days of summer. It feels like it’s been crazy in my little corner of the world ever since I returned from California.

First I had a book signing at a cute little bookstore in Kuna, a town outside of Boise. In fact, my mother went to school in Kuna and graduated from the high school there in 1933. She wouldn’t recognize it anymore as it is no longer a small farming community.

Next up was the installation of my patio blind. I’ve been...

Triple-finalist

On Thursday evening, I got a phone call from the coordinator of the Faith, Hope, & Love Reader’s Choice Award. Since I had three books entered in the contest (each in a different category), I thought perhaps one of my books was a finalist.

Then the coordinator said something like, “Congratulations. All three of your books are finalists.” My brain sort of shut down at that moment. Gobsmacked (as in the image on this post) is the word I have used to describe my feelings ever since.

The final...

Forever Friends

I sometimes envy women (whether real or in the novels I read or movies I see) who have had the same best friend(s) since high school or junior high or even elementary school. My closest friends from my school days moved away early in our lives (our late teens and early twenties), and time and circumstances eventually caused broken connections. The lack of email or texts or social media didn’t help matters.

While I may not be able to boast friendships that go back to grade school, I do have lo...

My good friend Denise Hunter has a new book out. I finished reading A Novel Proposal last weekend, and it’s a delight. No surprise there. I love Denise’s romances.

And here’s the good news. Denise will send an autographed paperback of this new beach read to one of my readers! Just use the entry form below to enter. You are required to subscribe to my newsletter, Robin’s Notes (four entries), and you can get a bonus entry by following me on BookBub.

His Word Lasts

As a Christian novelist, I believe that I need to be steeped in God’s word if I am to have anything of value to offer the readers of my books. My desire for every book I write is that it will (1) entertain the reader while (2) drawing them one step closer to Jesus.

The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.

(Isaiah 40:8, NASB95)

Since 1997, I have made it a practice to read through the Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, in odd-numbered years. In 2005,...

Available for preorder

I just discovered that the paperback edition of To Enchant a Lady’s Heart is available for preorder. So if that is your preference, you can now order it from Amazon as well as from Barnes and Noble.

Neither of these retailers have combined their pages with the corresponding ebooks so I wanted to make it easy for my readers who prefer print to find. Order now and receive immediately when the book releases.
