May Wrap-Up

Five months of 2014 gone already. Holy Frijoles!

May was the month that Jerry and I decided toreally feed the birds. Last year they just never found our single thistle seed sock. So we got serious in both front and back yards. We have three different kinds of seed in five different feeders. We have three suet cages. And we got this block of seed (about the size of a salt lick, like I used to buy to put in the pasture for my horses). The birds found us, and we have taken great pleasure (and lot...

Memorial Day Memories

You know what my main memories from Memorial Day are? Waterskiing. Camping. Picnics. Flowers taken to the cemetery. Mums. The start of summer!! And above all, today I pauseto remember the sacrifices of so many fine Americans who have served to protect our freedoms. Thank you, whoever you are, wherever you are.

Inspiration Intoxication

Boots at Wedding

I am currentlyworking on book #74. That’s a lot of stories and characters to try to remember. I don’t want to risk reusing protagonist names.

I don’t worry too much about repeating the other characters’names. After all, you can have several guys named John in the same group. There’s no way you can populate ma...

Behind the Story of The Heart’s Pursuit

The Heart's PursuitThe folks at Litfuse Publicity asked me a few questions regarding the writing ofThe Heart’s Pursuit, and I thought it worthwhile to share with my blog readers. Hope you enjoy!

Maya Angelou once said, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

Where does a writer find inspiration? What’s the hardest part about writing a story? What do you hope your writing achieves? We’ve asked Robin Lee Hatcher, the author of The Heart’s Pursuit, to tell us the story behind the story.
