Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. pushes untimely, insensitive claims about God and natural disasters
Pastor Erwin Lutzer speaking to Billy Graham's eponymous organization:
Many people want to protect God from the clear teaching of the Bible, which shows He is involved in natural disasters. It is not that God causes them, but the very fact that He could prevent them shows that we need to face squarely the fact that natural disasters happen within God’s providence.
Let me give you a few examples. During the time of the plagues in Egypt, clearly God sent those plagues. Then you have the time of N...
Nice work if you can het- it: Gay 'curist' Cohen changes junk science into cash
You know Richard Cohen, the pillow-beating cuddle therapist who writes viciously anti-gay children's books and thinks he can cure gay people? Then you should also know that his whole charade makes him quite a bit of cash:
Richard Cohen, the former NARTH guru and PFOX president who founded the Maryland-based International Healing Foundation (IHF) seems to have found a wining lottery ticket of sorts. IHF’s 2011 990 tax return reveals that his group took in more than $635,000. In 2010, the “ex-ga...
Brad Pitt itching to give his cash to history's right side
A good opportunity:

Brad Pitt will DOUBLE your donation for marriage equality – give now!
Excerpt from an email sent by Brad Pitt to HRC members and supporters:
"It's unbelievable to me that people's lives and relationships are literally being voted on in a matter of days.
In Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington, voters will go to the polls to decide if gay and lesbian couples – our friends and neighbors – are worthy of the same protections as everyone else.
But that's the system we have and...
Maryland's most circulated newspaper: Vote for Question 6
The case for Question 6, which would affirm Maryland's law authorizing same-sex marriage, is simple. It upholds the principle that the law should treat everyone the same. Marriage is both a religious and a civil institution. Churches, synagogues and mosques have always set their own rules about which marriages they recognize, and this law does not change that fact. What it does is to ensure that no Marylander faces discrimination under the law when it comes to one of the state's fundamental i...
Why must we still fight? B/c people still equate our marriages with murder and rape.
Someone just left this comment on that post about the Maryland Marriage Alliance's "worthy of death" panel:
Like murder? Like rape? Like child molestation. God would be proud.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, but you said you have "nothing against anyone who's homosexual." So all is okay. Clean slate. Sure.

Preserve Marriage Washington—or Lithuania?
I too have been curious about Preserve Marriage Washington's uniquely "liked" Facebook page. While all of the other state campaigns have four digits in their like tally, the Preserve Marriage Washington page has been showing a whopping 18,000+ for several weeks now. Even more bizarre, since they spent the summer essentially begging people to like their page—a page that, at the time, was showing "like" patterns in line with the other four states.
Our side's campaign, Washington United For Marri...
Focus on the Family to America: We will never stop pushing junk science as gay 'cure'; our newer, softer image is all a ruse
Who says Focus on the Family isn't into diversity? I mean, just look at this new list. They give supporters several different ways to pray away the gay:
But hey, who can blame the Focus workers? I mean, Sudoko puzzles lose their fun pretty quickly. Crosswords are so last century. iPhone games can be hard on the eyes. What choice have they but to "solve" the "puzzle" that is homosexuality?
