Hey, NOM's latest 'victim': Why did you compare our President to guy with ring in his nose?

Dick Odgaard is the latest person who NOM is trying to turn into a hero because of his desire to not serve gay couples at the wedding venue that he and his wife run. He is also been a participant in a Facebook group called "the first word that comes to mind," where users are told to respond to a photo with the premiere terms that they think of upon seeing the graphic.

On April 30, the image put to the aforementioned group was of a young man with a ring through his nose, à la a bull. This was M...

NOM: You must choose between gay wedding cakes or the cross

This is not my mockup. This is an actual image that the National Organization is now using to smear gay people as being contrary to Christianity:

[NOM]

Of course what NOM is really defending, if you read the related text, is the supposed "right" of people to flout nondiscrimination laws on the basis of their personal objections to homosexuality. NOM wants public accommodations to have the "right" to deem anyone who comes in the door as too gay for commerce. "No heterosexuality, not service!"

National Republican Congressional Committee now accepts reality of marriage equality!

The National Republican Congressional Committee has launched a snarky smear against Sean Eldridge, a Democratic candidate who is running for the NY-19 seat that Republican Chris Gibson currently holds. And while this is an attempt to make Eldridge seem like a wealthy, out-of-touch elite rather than focus on actual issues, there is one thing I really, really, really love about the site. Namely: that the NRCC, a GOP body if there ever was one, fully acknowledges Sean's legal marriage to a man:

FRC's VP of Church Ministries: Saying gays are pawns of the Devil doesn't make me a hater

Here is the Family Research Council's Vice President of Church Ministries, Kenyn Cureton, giving one of his favorite speeches about gay people being controlled by our "malevolent master" the devil as we fight for the "evil" world that we desire. Only this time, he couples it with an insistence that his words contain neither bigotry nor hate. Listen in:

"Stand for Faith, Family, And Freedom" Sermon [Community Bible Church at Sunriver]

Well who could ever interpret that as being hostile? It's lov...

Video: Just your average father of a U.S. Senator saying my marriage is an affront to God

At this weekend's Family Leadership Summit, an event sponsored by an organization whose head believes homosexuality is a public health risk, Rafael Cruz, the father of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz ( R), told the crowd that marriages like mine are all about destroying the concept of God and family. Here's the cued-up clip, courtesy of Caffeinated Thoughts:

Or alternately, Mr. Cruz, civil marriage equality is about government recognition that is wholly independent of the American public's varied person...

FRC's VP of Church Ministries: We may have to use armed resistance against our government; God 'not a pacifist'

What you are about to hear is a ten minute audio clip of the Family Research Council's Vice President of Church Ministries, Kenyn Cureton, scaring congregants of a Tennessee church into believing that our nation could devolve into a bloody battle in the streets. So grab your guns, folks, before that pesky President takes them from you. Oh, and do it for your warrior lord:

Gods, Guns, and Government [First Baptist Church of Morristown, TN]

Just to remind you, Mr. Cureton has previously said that...

FRC's latest 'tragedy': Soldiers who obtain freedoms for which they fight

Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis (USA-Ret.), a Family Research Council Senior Fellow, is still reeling over the fact that the Supreme Court essentially destroyed the Defense of Marriage Act. In his disbelief, he goes after the "tragic" and "travesty"-making soldiers who simply want to enjoy the American freedoms for which they risk life and limb:

“[The Pentagon is] going to grant free 10 days of paid vacation for these service members to go to a state where they do perform same-sex ‘marriages’ so that...

Happy Friday! Here's the AFA's top surrogate calling for my criminalization

In a column where he both suggests "that we take whatever public policies we have adopted with regard to IV drug abuse and use those same policies with regard to homosexual behavior" and that we use policies governing adult film workers to govern the everyday gay population, the American Family Association's most visible (and viciously vocal) spokesperson, Bryan Fischer, restates his support for the criminalization of gay sex:
