Video: Michael Brown (again) claims #GLAADCAP is 'censoring'; is (again) bearing false witness

GLAAD's Commentator Accountability Project, which I was involved in conceiving from its very first second of life (in GLAAD's conference room back in the summer of 2011, for the record), consists of nothing more than certain anti-LGBT people's own words. There is no editorializing or commentary—it's simply a sourced roundup of some of the top anti-LGBT activists' own rhetoric.

When it comes to public engagement, the project does not ask networks to stop booking the people on GLAAD CAP: we simp...

NOM claims to be writing next chapter; their book's title: 'How We Lost a Civil Rights Fight: A Tragi-Comedy'

From the National Org. For Marriage's latest "rah rah" rally email:

Well, I mean they are right in the sense that all of us who engage on this issue are currently writing new passages into the annals of recorded history. But just because you are writing a next chapter, it doesn't mean that your writing is any good. NOM's next chapter could be its most unintentionally humorous one yet. Or its most tragic. Or its most losing.

Or its last?

Tea Party fav Janine Turner supports marriage equality?

Somehow I missed this:

Screen Shot 2014-01-16 At 2.59.15 Pm-1Fortune Features editor: Do you support gay marriage?

Janine Turner:
I really think I do. I believe in traditional marriage but I just don't think it's my business. I'm not the judge of people's lives, God is the judge of people's lives. Who am I to say? I think we should have stayed out of it all along.

You may be like, "So what?" But Turner, who spoke at the 2012 Republican Convention and is now a radio host, is quite popular on the conservative side....

AFA's senior spokesman calls for 'outright defiance' against judiciary

The American Family Association's Bryan Fischer, inching us closer to civil war:

We are past the point where we need disappointment from our governors. What we need is outright defiance.

If Oklahomans have a constitutional right to decide this for themselves, then their governor is under no obligation to let a renegade federal judge decide this for them.

I submit that she has a constitutional obligation to defy such a ruling as blatantly unconstitutional and thus without any legal validity.

City of Lexington, NC dedicates week to anti-gay Boy Scouts alternative

Trail Life USA is the organization that was formed for one reason and one reason alone: because The Boy Scouts of America now accepts gay youth and the Trail Life organizers, led by longtime anti-LGBT activist John Stemberger, do not want increased acceptance of gay people. That being the truth, it's deeply troubling to see (at least) one American city giving this decidedly anti-gay organization its stamp of approval. Literally:

This is official government approval of the idea...

Video: Hoosiers who want majority tyranny to roll back minority civil rights

Civil rights are not like a student council election. Grow up, anti-gay movement.

Family Research Council now agrees: Gay couples form loving relationships

It is downright hysterical to hear the Family Research Council, an organization that has denigrated LGBT people in every way imaginable (e.g. criminal sanctions for homosexuality; Satan controls gay people; claims that we are vile; etc.), claim that no one is questioning gay couples' ability to form loving relationships. But if they, an outfit that has questioned the formation gay relationships for decades, want to start helping us make this case for our obvious love, I'll take it:

Video: Los Angeles contractor shares shady stories of gay 'harassment,' which AFA's Fischer presents as objective truth

David Foley, a contractor from Los Angeles (he runs a company called DLF Builders), somehow managed to find himself, on multiple occasions, in the wrong gay place at the wrong gay time. Now he's sharing his tales of supposed tyranny at the hands of gay baristas, park goers, and the Los Angeles Police Department, which the American Family Association's Senior Analyst for Anti-LGBT Animus, Bryan Fischer, gladly shares with his audience in a wholly uncritical way:

And this man, who was just mind...

Sally Kern speaks to OK press; continues to help our side's case, not hers

With a court striking a blow to the state-level discrimination that she so cherishes, one of Oklahoma's most notorious foes of the 'mos, Sally Kern, is back to prove the animus that we know powers all marriage bans:

Screen Shot 2014-01-16 At 9.22.11 Am

"Homosexuality is not a civil right. It's a human wrong...Homosexuals are saying this is who we are. This is how we're born. You tell a lie long enough, people begin to believe it."

Oklahoma state rep. Sally Kern (R)

Thanks, Sal. We're likely going to need animus-proving fodder duri...

Audio: Fringe Massachusetts group warns Utah: 'The house is burning down and we need your fire hose'

MassResistance, the fringe Bay State group that is mostly shunned by the mainstream "pro-family" movement, is now directing its animus-driven energy toward Utah, in hopes of convincing that state that Massachusetts has been all but decimated by ten years of equality:

Of course the truth (i.e. the opposite of what MassResistance usually tells) us that the Bay State has easily folded same-sex marriages into its spectrum of marital life. The state stands in support of same-sex couples and their f...
