Robert Oscar López gives 'traditional' Utahns taste of the anal sex chatter they can expect on 1/28

Screen Shot 2014-01-20 At 1.05.32 PmRobert Oscar López, the anti-equality activist who spends his days denigrating LGBT people and (particularly) same-sex parents despite himself claiming to be bisexual and having been raised by a lesbian mother, will join National Organization For Marriage president Brian brown at a January 28th "traditional marriage" rally in Salt Lake City. But first, Mr. Lopez wants to talk to you about anal sex: its dildos, its "powerful odor," the "chronic PTSD that one would expect of rape victims" that...

Uganda = Russia = Nigeria = anti-LGBT insanity

Screen Shot 2014-01-20 At 10.16.47 AmRussia, with the eyes of the world turning toward it and its games, should work to clean up its gayness. Oh, but the gays who he equates with filth shouldn't feel unwelcome in Sochi or anywhere else in his nation. Heaven's no, claims a Russian President who wants to have it both ways:

MOSCOW — Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered new assurances to gay athletes and fans attending the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics next month. Yet he defended Russia’s anti-gay law by equating gays with pedop...

NOM's Chris Plante: Media, 'Modern Family' have brainwashed America; 'gay activists have hijacked Martin Luther King's dream'

The National Org. For Marriage's new communications director has a history of denigrating gay people, infamously claiming that same-sex parents “turn children into little teacup dogs -- it's an accessory to put in my purse." But even though he is busily putting out propaganda like that (and much more) in hopes that it will, in fact, cause Americans to turn hostile against their gay neighbors, Plante claims it's television shows like Modern Family, which portrays an exceedingly traditional and...

Man who works to change gays involved in Utah's 'Stand For Marriage' rally

As VP of operations for the skewed hall of junk science that is NARTH (National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality), Dave Pruden is quickly becoming the face of that "ex-gay" organization. A Mormon himself, Pruden also heads up an LDS organization that exists for the sole purpose of telling gay Mormons that they can and should "change" their "same-sex attractions." In short, Dave Pruden is a professional practitioner of that discredited idea of "curing" gay people.

But get t...

NOM prez, anti-gay 'bisexual' throwing anti-equality rally in Utah

Using promotional images from a French rally, for some strange reason, the National Organization For Marriage has just announced that its president, Brian Brown, will join the anti-gay-yet-apparently-bisexual Robert Oscar López, a man who claims there is a direct connection between same-sex parenting and slavery, in a pro-discrimination effort on behalf of Utahns:

Sfm-Flyer-09-Big-Copy-542X1024

Um, yes, they are, in fact, against someone. Namely, against me, my husband, and my daughter. This rally, telling both gay people t...

NOM honors Martin Luther King Day by—claiming discrimination was King's Dream?!

NOM killed the post right after posting it, likely because they are saving it for the long weekend. But when (or if) it does do live, here is what the National Organization For Marriage, a special interest group that infamously vowed to drive a wedge between gays and blacks, will have to say about civil rights, its history, and its future:

[Post was here; link is now dead]

So weird how NOM, supposed believers in the sanctity of man-woman marriage, ignore the one person who, by NOM's own logic,...

Stop. Lying. About. Bipartisan. Support.

Earlier this week, I showed you how Heritage Foundation's Ryan T. Anderson was claiming "bipartisan support" for the so-called State Marriage Defense Act, even though the bill had not one (D) co-sponsor. Today on Twitter, young Ryan tried to call me and other bloggers/journalists/activists out, now what the bill has one Democratic supporter (Mike McIntyre, a retiring conservative Dem from North Carolina). Only problem for Ryan? He was still dead wrong, as I proceeded to share in our subsequen...

The American Family Association agenda summed up in one sentence

Social conservatives like Todd Starnes and Mike Huckabee spill a lot of ink and verbiage defending the American Family Association. All you really need to know about the organization and its public outreach is summed up in this highlighted line from an email blast that the AFA's One Million Moms division is sending off to advertisers who place spots on the ABC Family show The Fosters:

Oh look, a Catholic molestation scandal. That's sickeningly common.

Sad, disgusting, and mind blowing:

Document obtained by AP shows pope defrocked nearly 400 priests in 2 years for molesting kids [AP via WaPo]

Dear Catholic church: Keep your hands off my rights, your faith out of my civil government, and your nose out of my bedroom. And keep your everything off of my kid!

Well *of course* 'Duck Dynasty' premiere ratings are down

Back when the most anti-LGBT of social conservatives were congratulating themselves for supposedly winning the whole Chick-fil-a debacle, I really didn't offer much response. I kind of just smiled quietly as I watched the Mike Huckabees and Sarah Palins of the world pat themselves on the back, amid suggestions that they had done something great and powerful on behalf of their movement and cause. I laughed, and heartily, when many of them began suggesting that their increased support of that f...
