Video: NOM president tells Utah that his is the true civil rights movement

Amid suggestions that his personal faith is a perfectly valid reason to deny civil marriage equality to certain kinds of taxpayers, as well the truly egregious idea that his discriminatory cause is the true descendent of movements that abolished slavery and lessens racial prejudice, National Organization For Marriage president Brian Brown performed this act of performance act yesterday evening in the Utah state capitol rotunda:

For those keeping score, Brian was (at least) th...

Tony Perkins translation: 'I don't like nondiscrimination laws that apply to LGBT customers'

Screen Shot 2014-01-29 At 7.56.49 AmThe Family Research Council president responds to last night's State of the Union speech:

Employers should not have to choose between violating their consciences or paying severe fines that threaten jobs and could even force them to drop health coverage for their employees. This rule, or mandate, hurts families and women. Its unfair and, thankfully, most Americans oppose it. I hope the President will listen to them. From bakers in Oregon to photographers in New Mexico and court clerks in New Y...

In video to Utah anti-equality rally, Robert Oscar López again equates adoptive parents with slave owners

He begins with an egocentric, self-victimizing plea that attempts to parlay his one-sided, anecdotal personal and family struggles into consensus commonalities. And then, at the 8:25 mark, he does it yet again: he directly equated adoptive parents (not just gay adoptive parents, I should add) and anyone who relies on paths to parenthood that fall outside of his personally acceptable purview with slave owners.

According to local reports, this aired while attendees nodded and applauded:

'People don't go on TV to get married'

stanton
Glenn Stanton, the Focus on the Family staffer who admittedly believes that "homosexuality is a particularly evil lie of Satan," made the following charge about the weddings that aired on Sunday night's Grammys telecast:

'It’s such a confused irony, because we’re expected to believe that same-sex marriage is just like any other marriage,” he said. “But people don’t go on TV, to some big event, and get married.

Utah anti-equality rally: Doug Mainwaring replaces Robert Oscar Lopez #standwithchildren

Screen Shot 2013-04-15 At 3.37.28 Pm
Citing "travel plans," the anti-equality activist who routinely equates gay parents with slaveowners and who blames the LGBT movement for gay teen suicides is no longer attending today's anti-equality rally in Salt Lake City. Robert Oscar López will now only appear via video, while gay-identified anti-gay Doug Mainwaring takes his speaking slot:

Recently added to the agenda is Doug Mainwaring, a gay activist who opposes same-sex marriage because "denying children parents of both genders at hom...

On day of rally, Utah's anti-equality coalition frames pro-equality side as 'evil' #standwithchildren

In addition to choosing a headlining speaker who claims gay parents are the modern equivalent to slaveowners and that the LGBT movement is to blame for gay teen suicides, the anti-equality coalition that is rallying today at the Utah state capitol is also framing our marriages and our movement as "evil":

It's likely that evidence-weighing courts will ultimately decide the Utah matter. That being the case—please proceed with your obvious animus, kiddos!

NOM's Comm. director admits it: NOM wants gays to 'comes out of this distorted lifestyle'

National Org. For Marriage Communications Director and spokesman Chris Plante admits what we've always known: that NOM, a Catholic organization through and through, wants gays to "come out of this distorted lifestyle":

SOURCE: Drew Mariani Show

Thanks, buddy. I will count this as an early wedding gift for an America that you just helped achieve marriage equality sooner than it might have otherwise.

NOM determined to divide GOP, define it by discrimination

In what is essentially a fundraising pitch on behalf of Kirk Jorgensen, a conservative Republican running for a House seat in California's 52nd district, the National Organization For Marriage goes all-out nuclear against openly gay challenger Carl DeMaio and the idea of a moderate Republican party in general. NOM writes:

Screen Shot 2014-01-28 At 9.28.41 AmWho is Carl DeMaio? you might ask. DeMaio is a liberal who happens to have an "R" after his name. What does he believe in? Abortion on demand. Gun control. Redefining marriag...

How do you know the Grammys wedding was effective?

Laurie Higgins, proud owner of a staunch anti-LGBT agenda, a rich fantasy life, and a thesaurus, responds to the Grammys mass wedding:

Beyoncé’s vulgar anti-woman, anti-marriage performance foreshadowed the climactic set piece of the evening: Queen Latifah, long-rumored to be a lesbian, officiated at the “weddings” of 33 couples, many of whom were same-sex couples, while accompanied by the preachy, feckless song “Same Love” by Macklemore and the song “Open Your Heart” by the Dorian Gray-esque...
