PA: AFA rep calls on Congress to impeach judges; NOM rep suggests citizens should rise up against rulings

When it comes to the sweeping judicial rulings in which a collection of judges from all different views (many of them were Republican appointees) have pushed equality forward, the anti-LGBT movement is at a total loss. They know they have to say something, but they really have little to say. So the whole thing comes out like word soup—one that's all froth and no substance.

Reminder: Head of PA's anti-LGBT movement thinks marriage equality will turn God against nation

The Pennsylvania family Institute is the leading group fighting against us in the state. Any news article you read about the PA marriage ruling will likely include a quote or two from someone from PFI, likely its twenty-three-year head, Michael Geer.

That being the case, I thought I should bring back this old clip, since it's highly unlikely that Geer will be so candid today, when the spotlight is on his org:

To me, this is kind of like someone who supports "ex-gay" nonsense (which Geer does as...

Philadelphia Archbishop says equality ruling will 'work against human dignity itself'

Even retaining the ability to look a gay person in the eye and say, "YOUR MARRIAGE WILL NEVER EARN RESPECT IN MY CHURCH, SINNER!" is not enough for Philadelphia's Archbishop. Despite the fact that today's ruling speaks only to civil marriage and fully allows people like him to deny a same-sex couple, should that couple seek to marry in the church, Bishop Chaput becomes the latest in a long line of high-profile Catholics who seem to think that both God and Caesar are under their exclusive cont...

And another one: Federal judge smack's down Pennsylvania's discriminatory marriage ban

From Freedom to Marry:

New York – Today U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III ruled in Whitewood v. Wolf that Pennsylvania’s ban on marriage for same-sex couples is unconstitutional. Judge Jones is the 14th federal judge in recent months to rule against marriage discrimination.

Evan Wolfson, president of Freedom to Marry, released the following statement:

"Today's win in Pennsylvania finally brings the freedom to marry to the entire Northeast. Loving and committed couples and their families in t...

Anti-gay Benham brothers: Satan also behind Scopes Monkey trial

Screen Shot 2014-05-20 At 10.28.49 Am-1And now the latest rant from the HGTV network's proverbially dodged bullet:

Back in the 1960′s our nation allowed a toehold of sexual perversion – during the hippie sexual revolution – which has now become a stronghold of sexual anarchy in America. This stronghold masks itself in the form of diversity, inclusion, & tolerance.

There are other strongholds in America as well. At first, Satan got a toehold on life in the 1920′s with the Scopes Monkey Trial (evolution can be taught alongside creatio...

That discriminatory Oregon cake baker's Facebook post right after state legalized marriage

At 3PM Pacific time on 5/19, Oregon got marriage equality. Minutes later, that state baker who drew national attention because of her desire to discriminate against same-sex couples posted this to her (now in-home) business' Facebook page:

Gluttony's a front-and-center sin, Mel. Not sure a biblically rigid baker of wholly unnecessary and highly caloric foodstuffs that feed into such gluttony should be casting stones.

Montana anti-gay group rebrands nondiscrimination ordinances as 'forced participation'

Presumably the Montana Family Foundation has no problems with the very common and non-controversial ordinances across the nation that prohibit discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, or disability. But of course when it comes to protecting Americans on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, this very same concept becomes "forced participation":

Forced Participation Ordinances (FPOs), or Non-Discrimination Ordinances (NDOs) as our opponents like to call them,...

And now another installment of 'Baseless Theories Conducive to Tony Perkins' Political Access, Punditry & Paycheck'

Today's episode:

[Family Research Council president Tony Perkins]

There was a time when a simple gay kiss would lock up a network's switchboard with viewer complaints. This month, two gay dads from TV's most popular scripted comedy are getting married.

There was a time when we didn't even have one state with marriage equality. Now we have nineteen, plus a handful of others with pending court decisions (some of which have already legally married same-sex couples, like Arkansas and Utah).

There was...
