Video: Detroit pastor to marriage equality proponents: 'you are my enemy'

So it's good to see that the debate over civil marriage in Michigan is remaining highbrow and on point:

Coalition Of Black Pastors Speaks Out Against Gay Marriage [Huff Po]

Eh, I also don't find mustard, while perfectly charming in condiment form, to be a flattering suit color, either. Seems we'll have to agree to disagree on a few things, pastor.

But at least Houston's LGBT rights opponents don't want businesses denying Jewish customers—right?

Pastors Steve and Becky Riggle have been at the forefront at the effort to stop a nondiscrimination ordinance in Houston, TX, arguing that business owners should have a right to deny service to LGBT customers, so long as they cite their faith in doing so. But as you will hear in the following exchange with Houston council member Ellen Cohen, Becky Riggle doesn't limit her refusal "right" to just us. According to Riggle, business owners should be free to deny Jewish customers as well:

COHEN: "S...

Want to deny same-sex couples, ministers? Then don't sell deluxe wedding packages for profit

There's an interesting situation shaping up in Idaho, where an ordained minister from Coeur d’Alene is already saying he will refuse to marry same-sex couples at a business that he operates. Here's the gist:

Thousands of couples have tied the knot at the Hitching Post, an institution in Coeur d’Alene right up there with the famous Hudson’s Hamburgers.

But the popular wedding chapel across the street from the Kootenai County Courthouse will not perform marriages for same-sex couples, even if th...

At least FRC is admitting that equality is a trending....

...even if they're praying against it:

Mt. Carmel moment? Makes me hungry for a candy bar. Maybe I'll ask my legally-wedded husband to bring me one, which I will unwrap with my gold-band-adorned hands and devour the way the right side of history is eating away past discrimination.

Audio: FRC's Sprigg claims gay people don't really want marriage

Family Research Council's Peter Sprigg, a man who has called to both "export" and impose criminal sanctions on gay people, is now claiming that we gay folk don't really want marriage at all:

Peter Sprigg claims gay people don't really want marriage by goodasyou

No, Peter, we reject civil unions because separate is not equal. No one should be forced to walk in a separate line and obtain a segregated classification based entirely on who they are. This goes without saying to most people.

But I do...

Hubris-driven NOM witch-hunting Arkansas judge for daring to not agree with its discriminatory cause

Saying he thinks of himself as a "super-legislator," pro-discrimination lobby group National Organization for Marriage is calling on the Arkansas governor to convene a special session of his state legislature for the sole reason of impeaching Judge Chris Piazza for simply noting the obvious unconstitutionality of the state's marriage ban:

It's official: Out-of-state NOM can't stick discriminatory noses in Beaver State's business

I haven't read the ruling yet, but here's the big headline:

Judge denies NOM right to defend Oregon's marriage laws [Statesman Journal]

Ya know, if an accountant were as bad at adding and subtracting as NOM is at achieving success on behalf of its movement, he or she would be forced out of the industry. Just saying.

**UPDATE: NOM is planning to appeal to the 9th Circuit. Which is kind of like saying the National Org. For Pigs plans to plead to the Federal Aviation Administration for flight clear...
