About The Book
Chaos in the Kingdom of Darkness! Cecilia is thrilled when Reverend William Rawlins, her best friend and confidante finally proposes, however their joy is cut short when Satan finds out! He’s determined to destroy the powerful man and woman of God once and for all, before they get a chance to say, I do. As this thrilling, supernatural series comes to an end, Sister Cecilia Ford and Reverend William Rawlins find themselves in the ultimate battle between good vs. evil!
William felt a presence in his bedroom. When he turned over, he saw a man sitting at the edge of his bed. “Hello William.” The man said softly. William sat up and rubbed his eyes. He reached over and grabbed his glasses from the nightstand and adjusted them on his face. “Is that you, Lord?” William asked with a yawn. Jesus grinned. “Yes. My son, I have heard the desires of your heart, even if you refuse to give voice to them. I know what you want and what you need, and I’m here tonight to bless you.” Jesus said softly. William was curious as to which unspoken request Jesus was referring to.
“It’s time for you to remarry son,” Jesus said quietly. “Marry?” William stammered in disbelief. Jesus laughed. “Why ya gotta say it like that? I know how much you miss being married, old friend. You’re still a young man, and I want to bless you with a son to carry on my legacy at Grace Faith.” Jesus calmly replied.
William leaped out of bed and stared at Jesus with horror. “A son, you mean like a baby? I’m way too old to be starting a new family with babies!” William retorted as he began to pace about his spacious bedroom. “I can’t believe this, a baby, of all things!” He was walking back and forth across the room so fast; Jesus became dizzy watching him.
“Calm down William, you’re only fifty-one years old. Abraham was nearly a hundred when I blessed him with Isaac, and Sarah was in her nineties, at least your Cecilia is only forty.” The Lord said with amusement. William choked. “My Cecilia?” He asked irritability. “Since when did she become my Cecilia?”
Jesus chuckled. “Um, all knowing, remember?” He said pointing to himself. William rolled his eyes and climbed back into bed. “I see you’re not in the mood to be serious tonight, so I’m going back to sleep,” William replied grumpily, as he punched his pillow, turned over and pretended to sleep.
Jesus stared at his stubborn, lonely, faithful son and sighed. William was acting was just like the Israelites who wanted to stay in the wilderness and mourn Moses’ death and not move forward to possess what He had for them. It was time for William to move forward and possess the things God had set aside for him and Cecilia. So with a heavy heart, Jesus waved his left hand over his son. “William.”
William stiffened when he heard her voice. No, it couldn’t be. He turned around and there she was sitting on lush green grass, surrounded by a group of small children. A cute little boy sat on her lap.
“Wanda,” he whispered quietly, as tears stung the back of his eyes. William glanced around and was shocked to see that he was no longer in his bedroom, but in Heaven. He looked at Jesus. “Please don’t do this to me; you’re not being fair…” He pleaded. Jesus looked at his faithful son. “I love you William, and it hurts me to see you lonely. It’s been almost twenty years son. It’s time for you to let Wanda go.” Jesus patted William’s arm and walked away.
William turned towards Wanda. She put the little boy down and walked towards her husband. She reached out and caressed his face. William was surprised he could actually feel her touch. She gently wiped away the tears on his cheeks. “Honey, the Lord is right, it’s time for you to let me go, and move on with your life. I’m so happy here William, I can’t wait to share this with you, but every day I watch you struggle between your growing feelings for Cecilia and your lingering feelings for me. Baby, I want you and Cecilia to be happy. She takes real good care of you, and our daughters love her. Cecilia also needs you, she’s been widowed for almost twenty years, and hasn’t been with another man since Jackson died.” Wanda said to her loving, but stubborn husband.
William just held his wife’s hand. He didn’t know what to say. He glanced over and saw a small bench that he could have sworn wasn’t there a minute ago! They walked over to it and sat down. “How can you ask me to be with another woman, when I still love you? He asked quietly.
Wanda reached out and smoothed her husband’s graying hair. “Because I’m up here sweetheart, and I can’t come back. William, you’re still a very attractive man, and you have needs that you have ignored for years. I love you and miss you too, but honey, I want you happy and whole. I know that Cecilia makes you happy and you make her happy. You two work so well together, and Grace Faith church is better and stronger because of you. We watch you all the time up here, cheering you on. We really enjoyed watching you defeat Satan and his demons when they tried to destroy Abby. I was so proud of how you taught the congregation about spiritual warfare, and how the church used that knowledge, and stood up to the demon that materialized at the Church. God is very pleased with you, William and so am I.”

In the past, Anita faced many things which she had to find the strength and courage within herself to overcome. She has eagerly embraced opportunities of advancement that life presented, many times having to deal with the negativity or limitations placed on her by others. Anita recalls when she was a young girl growing up in a small community in North-western Ontario, Canada, that not everyone she met in life looked at her equally. Not everyone was nice, kind, or as supportive as she expected them to be. Anita eventually came to understand that this was the reality of a world of broken people. An individual cannot be expected to give love, compassion, empathy, kindness, or encouragement if they have not truly experienced unconditional love and acceptance themselves.

Anita, tell us about your book?
My book is an Anthology- it is comprised of multiple co-authors who are guided by my vision for the book, and my expertise through the writing process.
How did you come up with idea for this book?
My idea/vision for this particular book lines up with my vision and purpose in life. I believe that people needed to be loved and understood. As they are valued they will rise up and become all they are purposed for as well.
What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book?
The most difficult challenge is managing the time to be available 24/7 for my co-authors. As I am a person who needs to address everything I am involved in and give it my full attention.
What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book?
I would love my readers to gain a new perspective they may have never thought of before. The biggest take away would be for them to be inspired to never give up on themselves and begin to be motivated once more.
Who are your favorite authors?
Joyce Meyers, Tony Robbins, Joel Osteen just to name a few…getting my own co-authors in all 3 of my books….all 74 of them.
What book(s) are you reading now?
Presently, I am not reading any books, but I do have a list that I will be pursuing after my 2 books are released on the 24th and my 1st solo book Absolutely You: Overcome False Limitations & Reach Your Full Potential on November 15th.
What books have most influenced your life?
The Bible, Mother Goose, Nancy Drew books, The Hardy Boys, V. C Andrews, My Book House library, Many, many text books.
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
I would choose Joel Osteen, because I admire his positivity and faith to not give up on his dream to help others understand how fulfilling and freeing it is to just be yourself.
Any advice to give to aspiring writers?
I encourage aspiring writers to follow their hearts and allow it to express itself. Writing has been very healthy for me to express my feelings. I don’t expect people to change anything but to have a freedom to live their lives in a more happy and satisfying way that helps them to make better choices in life. We all get to choose what we will allow to define us.
Why do you write?
I started writing poetry to help myself shift my emotions when going through difficult times in my life. Writing self-help books with my experience and training became a natural extension of what I already do.

What truly motivates you in general? In your writing?
To inspire is to take that fire within from a flicker, to a flame giving you the confidence to progress. All of us need inspiration to drive and move forward in this journey we call life, my personal quest and the various moments of learning during my very own journey in life have been the inspiration for this book, which is extremely dear to my heart. I sincerely pray that my book is able to reach out to the very hearts of my readers and inspire them to take that first step forward to do the things that they have never done before, to live the life they only dreamed of doing and enabling them to fulfill their purpose.
What are some of your favorite things to do?
During my down time you may find me in the kitchen cooking some down home meals or spending time with family and friends. Having that Granmy-Gram time with my Granddaughter, or you may even find me at the salon pampering myself, or shopping and giving back to myself. It’s so important to have balance and building relationships.
Do you have a favorite author?
There are so many great authors; I enjoy that it’s hard for me to really narrow it down to one: Michele Andrea Bowen, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Bishop T.D. Jakes, and Dr. Maya Angelou are just a few of the authors that I enjoy.
What is the most rewarding thing about being a writer?
The first rewarding for me as a writer is the connection with my reader’s. The second most rewarding is knowing that my work can reach all parts of the world. My good friend and fellow Bestselling Author; LaCricia A ̀ngelle said it best “My books can go where I may not be able to go physically.” To be able to give a word of inspiration of hope, love and faith for others to move and drive forward in this journey of LIFE…Is an awesome feeling.
Are there any words of encouragement for unpublished writers?
Yes! I would like to leave these words right from my first book “Spiritual Food for Thought: 31 Inspirational Quotes to Jump Start Your Day,” that is this… JUST DO IT!! To move forward, you have to step out the boat. Moving out of complacency and comfort. If you want something you’ve never had you have to do something you’ve never done. Moving out of fear and removing all inhibitions being comfortable in WHO you are and WHO’S you are. Let today be the first steps towards your goals, your calling, your deliverance….ultimately your purpose and destiny. ~The Time is Now…Let’s Get It Done!!!
What can we expect from you in the future?
With all that is going on in the world today, people are hungry for words of encouragement and inspiration, and with that said my passion and assignment is to engage, and equip the multitudes and in so doing win souls across the globe through the airways, my writings, and speaking engagements while empowering others to move forward in this journey called LIFE.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 NKJV

Author Interview
Tell us about yourself?
I am a writer so I can use all these incredibly beautiful descriptions to tell you all my titles. But when all the smoke clears, who am I is a girl who was raised by two parents who loved the Lord and they taught me to love Him too. I pray that I teach the same thing to my children and my children’s children. So that if God delays his coming there will be a generation out here on planet Earth who knows deep in their hearts that God is real and conduct themselves in a manner that is pleasing to Him.
Tell us about your book?
She’s Got Her Own is a story about a woman who steps out on faith by leaving a cushy corporate job and being the wife and mother God called her to be. Not long after she makes the faith decision, trouble and temptation come knocking at her heart. Sharay, the main character, faces a lot of challenges but in the end she walks in her God given purpose.
The main characters are:
Sharay, a successful business woman who’s entire life changes when she is forced to quit her job so that she can be a better mother and wife.
Brian, Sharay’s husband, whom desperately wants to achieve greater status at church.
Michael, Sharay’s ex-boyfriend who believes he can rekindle a love that was once lost and is willing do so no matter the cost.
Sheila-the mother of Brian’s children who does whatever she can to ensure Sharay is miserable.
How did you come up with ideas for this book?
I have a friend who home schools all seven of her children. I learned from her there is a entire homeschool world with arts and education classes, proms, and book exchanges. As a public school teacher, I’ve always been intrigued by this educational option. I wanted to shed a good light on homeschooling. Now, the other parts of the book such as the class reunions, the church, the baby momma, and the baby daddy are all inspired by everyday events that I have seen and heard.
What do you hope readers will learn/discover from reading your book?
I want readers to know that God never fails you, lies to you, nor does He let you down. He always wants to draw you nearer to Him no matter where you are coming from He loves you as His own.
What inspired you to write this book?
I have a heart for married women. It seems that so many of our men are taking their cues from the world and not from the word. I’ve listened to my friends on the phone. Witness women around me in abusive relationships. So, I can relate to the struggle of a married woman who is trying to align her love for God and her love for her husband. The main character, Sharay is a manifestation of women who I’ve known over the years and Michael and Brian are men who need to identify not only who they are but who they are in God. These two men are a manifestation of what God can do when you start to follow Him instead of worldly desires
What’s next for you?
I am working on a second fiction novel. This one is keeping me up at night. The story line is so compelling. The characters appear strong to those around them but they find themselves in a challenging situation where they have to learn draw from the strength of God. They have to use the authority given to Christians by God to overcome the enemy and get out of a precarious situation. I am nervous about it. No one writes about spiritual warfare for a reason. I don’t want to be perceived wrong so I am moving forward with caution.
Tell us what Hollywood actors would be the characters in your book?
Sharay- Kimberly Elise
Brian-Morris Chestnut
