Book Signing
BOOK SIGNING. I will sign copies of my historical novel, THE SIGN OF TH EAGLE @ Barnes & Noble Booksellers 1321 N. Columbia Center Blvd., #700, Kennewick, Washington, Saturday, May 3rd, 12 - 5 p. m. This is part of the Tri-Cities area in the heart of the Columbia River Basin (wheat and wine country).

Book Signing Follow-up
Book signing follow-up. Another sell-out! I signed copies of my historical, THE SIGN OF THE EAGLE, at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Woodinville, Washington (North Seattle) this last Saturday, April 26th. Met another interesting cross-section of people from not only the Pacific Northwest, but also South America. A Brazilian couple, who had finished a tour of the Olympic Peninsula, was among the people who bought a copy of my novel. Then a young lady, from Helena, Montana, ran up to me and said, "I've read your novel two times, I love it! When will your next novel out?" I felt flattered and humbled by her remarks. I told her sometime next year THE WOLF OF BRITANNIA will be published.
Community Relations Manager, Mike, approached and remarked, "Except for the top tiered authors like J.A. Jance (best-selling mystery writer & Seattle resident), who was here last month, you are the best author to hold a signing at our store. The others sit here like stacks of lumber." Larry, the store manager, who stood nearby affirmed that. "We're glad you are here." Both want me to return when my next novel is published.
I want to thank Mike and Larry for being so accommodating, and assisting me in this very successful signing.

Book Signing Follow-up
Book Signing Double-Header Follow-up. Whether it was a sunny but windy day in Helena, Montana (041114) or a driving snow-storm in Great Falls, MT (041214), both book signings at Hastings Books, Music & Videos were sell-outs. Met lots of interesting people in Big Sky Country (it truly seemed that way traveling through the Rocky Mountains, along the Missouri River and snow-covered wheat fields near Great Falls. This has to be some of the most beautiful country in the USA), passed out lots of flyers and signed lots of copies of the Sign of the Eagle.

Book Signing Double-Header Success!
Book Signing Double-Header follow-up. I conducted two more successful book signings for the Sign of the Eagle @ Hastings Books, Music & Video stores @ Nampa, Idaho (Boise area 032114) & Boise, ID (5 Mile store 032214).Both days were sunny and the stores were very busy and I met lots of interesting people and signed many copies. Lots of people showed interest in the portrait of the book cover painted by my niece, Artist Katrina Brennan.
I want to thank Book Manager, Amanda, from the Nampa store and Associate Book Manager, Amanda (yes, they both have the same name) from the Boise store, for their assistance in making these two events so successful.
Just as an aside. There was a little excitement outside the 5 Mile store. I had just parked my car and was walking inside when I heard a scream. Next I thing I knew five Boise Police cars pulled up in front. Two officers grabbed a guy, handcuffed him, read him his rights and placed him in a police unit. I don't know the circumstances, but from my experience as a police sergeant (now retired) the guy must have been a suspected felon. No police department will send five units on a minor crime.

Book Signing Double-Header Success!
Book Signing Follow-up Double-Header (The Sign of the Eagle). It was another sell-out @ Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Spokane Valley, WA (031514) and a near-miss @ Hastings Books, Music & Videos, Moscow, ID (home of the University of Idaho). Both stores were very busy, especially, B&N. Met lots of interesting people from around the USA (Texas, Ohio, Illlinois, Calfornia) who visiting the Pacific Northwest, and even one nice lady who purchased copy who was from Eritrea, Africa.
The portrait of Macha painted by my niece, Katrina Hughes Brennan, continue to attract and receive many compliments.
