Negotiating Skills on All Romance!
Good Evening Lovelies, Negotiating Skills is now officially on All Romance! The set up process was by far the easiest off all the sites. However, I have to admit it, it most likely went by so quickly because I've already worked out all of the kinks with all of the other sites, so it was all routine by the time I got to this one. Regardless, once I was approved for publisher access (about a 24 hour turn around) I received a handy email with a link to very detailed instructions. The whole process took me less than 15 minutes.

Hi All,
Negotiating Skills is now officially available for $2.99 on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords and Lulu. It was a PROCESS! Each site had it's own hiccups regarding formatting and style guides. Anyhoo it's available now and I can't wait for you guys to read it!
I want to extend a special thanks to all of the readers who downloaded my book this weekend. There were almost 400 downloads before the end of the weekend. That of course trickled down after I put it on sale for $2.99 but that was expected. I'm hoping that those who downloaded it for free this weekend find the time to read it and post a review or recommend it to others.
I'm in the process of making it available through All Romance so I'll keep you posted on that effort.

Inspiration and Book Ideas
Hello Lovelies,
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I had a moment of inspiration yesterday that I think has led to the beginnings of a new story. The moment came when I was making myself a smoothie and listening to the movie Iron Man play in the background. The moment it crept into my head I turned off the blender and rushed to jot down some notes. I learned my lesson about noting book ideas as soon as possible a while ago. More than once an idea for an amazing story has come to me, and I would foolishly tell myself that I would remember it later--this is so NOT true (at least not for me). After more than a few forgotten plot or transition ideas, I learned to always have a notebook handy.
Anyhoo, I have a notebook full of ideas, but unfortunately I'm finicky as hell. Even though every idea I have I think is worthy of being written, sometimes I'm just not in the mood for some of the characters I've envisioned. Some of them have sad stories that I'm just not in the mood to deal with. Some of them are too happy and others just too angry. I wonder if other writers have this same problem. Do they already know the personalities and baggage of the characters they are about to write about? It sounds silly but I have to brace myself before having to rip a character's world apart.
Regardless, it's time for me to choose my next project. I had fun with Negotiating Skills and How to Kill Your Immortal . Both projects taught me different lessons and each pushed me in ways I didn't expect. Negotiating Skills will be released this Saturday (August 18th 2012) and the full version release of How to Kill Your Immortal is still on hold (more on that later). Either way, I need to sit down soon and decide on my next project. My characters are getting restless and eventually I'm going to have to sit down and give them a voice.

Negotiating Skills Book Cover Reveal
Hello Lovelies. The book cover for my new erotic romance "Negotiating Skills" is officially complete! The lovely Ravven was again nice enough to do the cover art. As usual she was awesome to work with. The original release date was scheduled for August 1st. unfortunately I was a bad girl and took a while to complete the review and edit process. Thankfully the worst is finally behind me and I'm ready to move forward with all of the platform formats.The book will be released for free purchase through Smashwords on August 15th and 16th and starting August 17th it will be available for $3.99 on Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble Nook and Smashwords. New Erotic Romance
I've been working on my first erotic romance titled Negotiating Skills for a while now. The idea came to me during a conversation I had with a friend a few months ago that led to my "What is Sexy" post. As I stated in the post, I love the idea of sex in forbidden places. I think that sometimes the knowledge that characters may be found in compromising positions can add a delicious type of tension to a scene.
Negotiating Skills is a short novel set for release on July 30th through Amazon. A short except can be found here on my blog in the "Book Excerpts" section soon. Negotiating Skills tells the story of Veronica James, a software programmer who catches her biggest client, Victor Rossi, in a very compromising position after hours. In an effort to regain the upper hand, Rossi insists on some interesting concessions from Veronica before continuing with their contract.
I had a lot of fun writing this story. This was my first swim in the erotic romance genre and I have to admit I spent many a night typing furiously and blushing outrageously. The moment I committed myself to this story I informed my mother that this is one book of mine that she is ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED to read. Awkward mother-daughter conversations aside, I am very excited about this book.
I struggled with the "heat" factor and spent a lot of time working on the love scenes. Even now I worry that the heat factor isn't high enough to be labeled erotic romance. I'll let you all be the judge of that. Either way I had a ridiculous amount of fun getting Veronica and Rossi together and I hope you all enjoy the story.

As many of you may already know the release date for "How to Kill Your Immortal" has been pushed back to September 21st. I want to thank all of you who have provided me with feedback on the preview chapters I released through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords. I welcome ALL criticism. I don't always like it but I do welcome it, so thank you all so much.
I'm taking extra time to work out some plot issues but overall am crazy excited about getting this story released. I had a lot of time bringing these characters to life and can't wait to share them with you. In the mean time I'm also currently working on a few other projects that will be released before September. I'll be posting about my new works here on this blog so stay tuned.
